Whatever happened to nswiki.net? I had a lot of information on there. I finally found one of the Jolt archives, so I can start to compile more information on Sel Appa. Even if I could just get the data scraped off of it to put on another wiki.

I have found several articles pertaining to your nation:

That's all I could find. To import these articles, there is a tool one can use to convert HTML to wiki format. One can also do this manually. At any rate, should you want to move this to the new NSwiki, give me or Kenny a holler and we can probably help. Yeah, I know this thread is for IIwiki, but as so many individuals had their pages on the old NSwiki, it's prudent for me at least to find lost pages and help people recover them. Unfortunately, the database was not maintained by the original owner and when the site crashed, much data was lost. Since NS hosts NSwiki now, I would say the data is much safer.

Yea Ive found bits and pieces. I hadnt edited in awhile before it crashed. Any idea where the backups are? Or who to contact? ugh... I had so much info on there that I dont tihnk I had anywhere else.

Huh, because it would appear this screenshot would say otherwise. I made the post asking whether the site was taken down intentionally (and I didn't pay attention to the message), or it was a server somewhere cocking up. I did not ask for a check, because I had already checked.

Specifically I'm looking at a 502 Error (a Bad Gateway), which is something that is rather vague.

Wikimedia Commons images have stopped showing up on IIwiki, at least on Firefox on Windows 7. And Chrome on Windows 7. And Firefox on Android. And Chrome on Android.

Hmm. That's very strange. I did absolutely nothing. I will have to investigate this further. My first assumption is that something changed on the Mediawiki commons backend and I have to then change some settings on the server to accommodate, because the current server settings loaded the images fine yesterday but for whatever reason they do not seem to be loading now. I will let you know when I figure out what is wrong.

Look at similar articles on Wikipedia (e.g. the Iraq War?) for an idea of how to arrange them. Template:Infobox military conflict is the one you want down the right-hand side. Make sure to write objectively - IIwiki's not a propaganda site. One of my own articles, admittedly WIP, includes most of the basic points you'd need to cover, probably. The basic structure of most articles about events/incidents/disasters, war or not, is Background (for historical/political context or whatever), Prelude (the events leading up to the main event; optional, or part of Background), Sections about the progress of the war (usually broken up into clear stages where possible. This is often the largest section), Aftermath (dealing with the immediate consequences after the event) and, for a longer-term variation on that, Legacy. Sections on official responses, be they from governments, humanitarian organisations, might be included too.
