I don't deny that. However, and Cong agrees, we need to come up with a final situation. Here's what, based on what I've seen, would be the final situation, since we all want to get to the main invasion:
Me:
60 or so planes left standing, carrier and destroyers requiring multiple repairs, but not sunk
You: Destroyed

This is from a forces standpoint and what I'm seeing, feel free to disagree and make another proposal.

Fleet destroyed-no problem. I was waiting for it to get blown to shreds anyways.
Your fleet not sunk-uh uh. My first volley shold've done it, the second would've destroyed it. The fact is that intercepting over 60 missiles with five ships is a near impossibility, as was the first volley. Heck, I think this one has 72 missiles.
As for the planes: 60 is a bit low. If my ships designed to kill threats such as those planes can only get 10 at first shot, then more than 60 would've survived. My other ships are lacking in spersonic defenses, so maybe, I dunno, 75?
Also is it the 9th yet?

As Cong said, your first volley was out of range. Second of all, it takes time to launch 72 missiles and for them to reach their targets. I'm sending my destroyers after you.
The rest is fine.
No I don't believe this is the ninth, could be wrong.

Yes, it takes time, but if your planes were engaged with my ships, it's six missiles per ship. They'd be able to get off.
As for your destroyers, what do you mean? Qiraibashi, the missiles, or the Ranorian Homeland? The missiles are aimed at them (some) so tat's convenient, Qiraibashi isn't defended yet, and if you're coming after Ranoria, well, that won't last long to say the least. Heck, this WAR might not last long at that point.

Depends. The spec ops stuff is occurring around really early morning on the 9th.

Basically, you can make a post in the future, as long as it's not affected by events that are still unfolding. So, I could post some discussion in Halian parliament on the 15th if I wanted to, because it's not as if anything's going to happen to the Halian parliament between "now" and the 15th. I couldn't make a post about my spec ops on the 10th, though, because all sorts of things could happen between "now" and the 10th for them.

If you want to be safe, just ask whether anyone is planning to do something that would affect your post before you post it, like:
"Is anyone going to attack this city before the 9th?" or "Is electronic warfare going to begin over Qiraj before the 9th?"

Finland, honestly, when the Qiraji see the house is fortified, they're just going to hit it from a few klicks away with MBT cannons and helicopter rockets. Or have a fighter-bomber reduce it to rubble.

Nah, Frank Zellan was just gonna give a speech about deploying the fleet of the Valasvow with a few ships pulled from other fleets.

My destroyers are going after the La Fayettes, so you most likely would not be able to get all 72 missiles off. And even still, the carrier is heavily armed with interception capabilities and is absolutely massive, so that won't sink. The destroyers might well, but the carrier won't.

Each frigate only has to launch 6 missiles. Thats...what? 10 seconds? And even if the carrier is heavily armed, the systems simply won't be able to keep up with tht many missiles. Plus they'd have to get out missiles too.

1. True
2. The combined forces of 4 destroyers, several helicopters, the fighters as they see the missiles go off, and the carrier itself should be enough to keep the carrier from sinking. The destroyers, as I said, are doomed.

Ive looked at the carrier. It doesn't have the defenses to stay afloat.
As for the destroyers, if you're "sending them in" that means they're not going to be ding their man job: Protecting the carrier. They won't be of any help, nor will helicopters, which are to slow moving to do anything to stop the missiles, and to small to act as decoys. The fighters wouldn't be able to stop them unless they were all already going after the La Fayettes. If they were engaged with other ships, by the time those that noticed got the word out, the missiles would already be in the air, and by the time they adjust to get to them, which they would then have to find a way to shoot down, would make that impractical at best.
And remember, as you seem to think the missiles are going up one by one, each has six. Twelve at a time. Your fighters may stop a few, but not many, as they would've already used most anti-naval weaponry capable of quickly eliminating a target.

This is the Benevolence thing, just another stage of it. "Benevolence Down" (the prior RP) was the story of a single special forces operation near the crash site of MAAPS-06 "Benevolence". "Benevolence's Vengeance" (this RP) is the story of the subsequent invasion and war.
