Also, Qiraj. I plan on attacking some major airbase near Qiraibashi during the cruise missile attacks, assuming one exists. Do you want to provide a name, or should I just attack "the Qiraibashi airbase"?

ABMs will be of limited use against hypersonic glide vehicles, but I expect you'll be able to knock down a few, and CIWS *might* take down one or two.

Also, Qiraibashi Air Force Base should work fine.

The SM-3 Block IIA has a range of over 1300 nmi and a speed over Mach 15, and my ships can detect ballistic targets at a range of ~500 nmi (though AWACS will likely spot them first anyway). I'll be shooting at the Soliryns while they're still in the boost phase.

CIWS won't do crap against something like that.

Qiraibashi AFB it is. :)

The SM-3 Block IIA is also intended to take missiles out with an exoatmospheric KKV, which both requires a direct hit and that they both be in space (so just detecting them and firing off a few . Additionally, it's intended for use against SRBMs and MRBMs (and can be fooled by countermeasures like any other missile). The Soliryn-5 would probably be pushing the definition of MRBM, so they may have some capacity for interception, but I somewhat doubt that more than a few could be taken out by your ABMs.

And CIWS actually could be effective- if you've detected and are tracking the HGV (although it might end up being a decoy), then a blast of CIWS in the right direction could cause catastrophic damage. At that speed, and with the range CIWS operates at, and given that it'd be in the terminal phase, you might have a chance to rip the thing to shreds (although there would be a chance some of the shreds might hit you, but more likely it'd go into a hypersonic tumble and explode).

Due to the escalation of Ranoria's declaration of war, the size of his fleet, and the multiple additional allies with strong naval forces Qiraj seems to have gained, I'll be sending another fleet unit to backup the Lalath.

These ships will arrive with my ground forces.

• 1 Elennar-class BBGN
• 1 Nenya-class light aircraft carrier MNS Lalath
  • 24 x F/A-19 Thunderhawks
  • 8 x EA-19 Electrohawks (EW aircraft)
  • 4 x E-2 Hawkeyes
  • 8 x MH-60s
• 2 Fëacir-class cruisers
• 3 Telerin-class destroyers
• 3 Ëarendil-class frigates
• 2 Ossë-class attack/missile subs

The Elennar-class BBGN is a class of 920 ft guided missile warships. Their primary purpose is ballistic missile and long-range air defense. Their size also enables them to carry a large number of anti-ship ballistic missiles.

They are equipped with an ABM radar that can spot ballistic targets up to 2000 miles away. (Which is why they are so big.)

Armament:

19 x 64-cell Mk 41 VLS (1,216 cells):
• 320 x RIM-169 Apollo
• 320 x RIM-170 Artemis
• 320 x RIM-161 SM-3
• 256 x RIM-162 ESSM (64 cells)
• 160 x RGM-111 Fëanar
• 32 x RUM-125 Sea Lance

Mk 57 VLS (136 cells):
• 136 x RIM-171 Artemis-ER

104 x AShBM tubes:
• 104 x Gwaihir AShBM

Guns:
• 4 x 76mm super rapid guns with smart munitions for point defense

So those missiles are going after Ultsengel then?
Also, if you happen to be withing 50 kilos of Qiraibashi...
well, thermobarics may not be effective against ships, but with enough of them...

They're going after big installations in the air-defenses around Ultsengel, so like radar or any weapons batteries. Also I think I'm like 100 km away from the next closest city iirc

The only 45km weapons Qiraj might have would be rocket artillery like the M270 MLRS or something. And he's not going to be using those against warships.

Well, I just got the post up. It's quite rushed, but it gives the general idea. And that would probably be a good time anyways- tie down Qiraji air assets to help cover the invading forces.

Sweet I'll check it out!
I was referring to the Naval Defenses that were a big problem at one point.
Did they get shut down?
Also, if you wouldn't mind editting in a de-escalation of the hole Qiraibashi problem. Alpha will surrender command, tension is down, and you have over 5k troops who aren't going to fight to the death.
OR you could kill them all and suffer losses and alot of losses to air vehicles by defenses but you're smart you wouldn't do that!
Right?

Senkaku's attack on Kocahisar actually works well for me.
According to the lore inside my head, the Hawks are a very untrusting bunch. When they land at Kocahisar they would sit atop their planes all day and eat MREs they stashed inside, not letting anyone near their "babies" (what they call their fighters). The only thing preventing them from takeoff has been Kocahisar politics, so at the first sign of confusion they'd take off back to the Royal Empire (on a full tank of course, from carefully examined fuel tanks). Thanks Senkaku! You just rescued a bunch of my troops!

You said you would post a turnover of command. I assume that is the de-escalation you were talking about. And I have no idea what you're on about about "Naval Defenses".
