Chapter 1: A big vast space

The year is 2034 and you are living your life like you always do, nice and peaceful. But while you are doing your everyday routine a large war on galactic scale is going on.
The Galactic empire of the Aegen is an empire that is spread out over all of the galaxy, colonizing most of the worlds and know about all of the species living in it.
The Aegen are the aliens that started the stories of aliens and alien abductions when they tried to study the various lifeforms of the many underdeveloped worlds.
The galactic empire existed for over 25,000 years but their civilization was threatened when an unknown force from outside the milky way galaxy arrived.
Colonies from the Aegen were quick to fall against these invaders they called the 'outsiders'. A massive fleet was erected from the many planets belonging to the empire and they organized a counter attack.
Although they were successful initially, when the outsiders ambushed their fleet it was game over for the Aegen.
When the Aegen leaders on the capital world of Askade realised it was over, they decided that the only way to get revenge was to make sure a future generation of galactic civilizations would be able
to destroy the outsiders. They made pods containing information about their history, about the outsiders and all kinds of technology to kick start their galactic expansion.

This is where you come in. These pods were send to all known civilizations that had the tech level to comprehend the information that was given to them, including the world you are part of.
When the pod arrives you are informed of this and you rush to the scene, the pod opens and a hologram starts to play.

"Greetings life form, my name is Or'dihil and I am archlord of the Aegen empire. You may not know this but we are an empire that spans all of the galaxy. But my empire won't last for much longer. A dark force we call the outsiders are attacking, and they are winning. We have no hope in defeating them, but we do have hope that we will be avenged. This pod contains information about this enemy and also the technology we have now so you can start building your empire so you will be able to defeat this foe. I don't have much longer, I hope you will do what is necessary."

The year is now 2100, 66 years after the start of the galactic war. it is up to you what you want to do with this pod.
OOC thread
Guidelines for Chapter 1:
  • Don't use advanced FT technologies
  • There hasn't been contact with the Aegen or the outsiders and your civilization
  • Try to build up a FT society from a PMT society
  • Use the pods to boost yourself into the space exploration age
  • Ask in the OOC who wants to be contacted by you and lay contact with them
  • Not sure what to do? There are many helpfull people on the OOC who are happy to help you
  • Still no response? Send a TG to the OP (Alahana) or the CO-OP (Neo ORB)

Alahan city, Alahana, Eurion

When an unknown object entered the atmosphere of Eurion, it shook the earth as it came closer to the ground. All people stared out into the sky, some awaiting their doom, others running for their life.
But when it almost reached the ground it started to slow down until a large metal object became visible. Police forces started to make a perimeter around the object as they are trying to figure out what it is.
Meanwhile the king of Alahana, Alexander VI attended to a meeting in the High council about the hostilities between The Tarusian Union and the Imperium.
The chancellors and ministers were awaiting news about what caused the shaking, and after a few minutes a captain of the royal guard stepped in and announced what happened.
Everyone in the room wondered what it may be, but only the king and a few military officials went to the site. It was of no use that the whole room would go look what happened because this would add to the mayhem at the location.
When they arrived at the location they saw a long metal cone standing on a tripod. It had a blue pad on it with a digital screen displaying a hand. One of the generals that accompanied the king pressed his hand against the display. It opened a small door on the left of the display, revealing a hologram.

The king ordered that the pod would be examined in a lab and to see what this technology was the hologram was talking about.

Manton, Alahana, Eurion
A few weeks later

"Oh my god! It actually works. IT WORKS!" one of the scientists yelled troughout the laboratorium. The scientists ran upstairs on the spiral staircase toward the commander of the base.
He was in a meeting with some important figures in the political world, together with the minister of foreign affairs, minister of science, the High Chancellor and the king. The scientist just walked in without even thinking of knocking and he just said "Sir, it works.".
While the foreigners were wondering what the man was talking about the commander just answered him with "Show me.", without excusing himself with the others.
They followed them downstairs toward the testing site, where a large futuristic looking weapon was standing on an iron table.
"Ladies and Gentleman!" the scientists said "Prepare to be amazed."
The scientist took a controller and pressed a button, soon after it fired a red glowing bolt of energy toward the target, completely obliterating it.
All the people in the room where amazed by this, the scientist saw this and announced "And that's not all." he pressed some more button, aiming the weapon at another target.
But now when he pressed the button the target was not damaged, not even a scratch. "So is this some kind of special material?" the chancellor asked.
"So sir, this is the exact same material I used on the previous target, the only difference is that I there is an energy shield surrounding it." the scientists answered.
When everyone in the room was in awe of what they just saw he figured this was a good time to ask for more support.
"Your majesty, chancellor and others. As you can see this project is promising and will boost us into the space age in less that 5 years. I would like to ask you to increase funding so we can make this dream a reality.". They were looking at each other and then the chancellor answered him. "I do not have the sole power to do so, but I can tell you if all other chancellors are able to see this they will realize that we have to increase your funding."
The scientists started to cheer already, and the foreign diplomats started to arrange better ties with Alahana.

5th Planetary object: (Nora-Vas'tal (Giant planet) Orbiting class III star: (Yan'Tei)
19th Lunar Satellite orbiting Nora-Vas'tal: (Agenisi) 3,396 km radius

Crept away in the lone reaches of the void, a system was once born, it was like many others, a massive explosion as a mass of neutron and proton's collided and combined forming the element of hydrogen. It was an ignition that would shake the heavens if anything could have been observed, within moments a massive blue ball of fire was created, burned with a almost holy light and illuminated the dust that hadn't been turned to fuel and slowly begun its work in gathering the fine solar dust and began the creation of its planets with its massive gravity. This process to billions of years, but soon this systems in its infancy held a few small worlds.
It was a small system holding only six planets, however only the fifth was unique, it was the largest in fact massive would be more appropriate to explain the world. But its external surface was a world of sea and sand unable to support anything but the most extremes of life.

However this world eventually caught dwarf and rouge planets that wandered to close, trapping them within its own gravity and created Satellite's.
These worlds were pulled into the systems goldilocks zone, soon began to undergo massive changes from the desolate worlds they had been to small gems rife for the picking if found. However it was the nineteenth satellite, a world of green and blue that held this systems inhabitants, still within there own infancy.

upon that satellite of blue seas and green forestry that seemed endless, a massive ancient forest grew from off the ground reaching several hundred meters into the dominion of the air, in its center its most massive tree had a total height of over five hundred meters, its branches and foliage extended out for a hundreds meters still providing a shadow that didn't seem to affect the other forestry beneath it. The species of this world, known simply as the Nare, a collective in it's infancy lived in this forest, built their homes upon the trunks and branches of those massive trees as well as into the massive trees that hid them within the foliage. They called this massive tree "Mother Hyperion" as it was the mother of all the trees upon there world.

The Nare were a race with a gentile matriarch society, being gardeners on their home world tending to the forest, and with their wings and light bodies, gliding and flying upon the worlds thermals as they saw fit, but beyond there own home they held no interest to the stars they could see at night during the twilight season of Kalia'ris, a phase of there worlds eighty four day revolution and locked within a twenty-four hour spin that caused their small world to move behind the parent world that held the majority of there sky's, it was called Kalai'ris or the phase of night, in there musical language, while its opposite, the phase of light was called Keifer.

When the planet was in Keifer, the trees seemed to soak up the light as it constantly fell upon the planet being reflected from both the sun and there parent world, and when it was the season of Kalia'ris the trees glowed slightly with a beautiful but dull luminesces at light the forest's so there was always some light to be given to this unique world.
However even though the Nare held no interest in the stars and were content in living their long lives upon the world tending to its nature. the stars were coming to them as it began one fateful night in the middle of Kalai'ris as festivity's were ensue in the capital of Seia which was built into the forest that "Mother Hyperion" governed.

Hyperion Forest: Capital; Seia

The dull luminesce of the trees foliage gave the city below a glow of seven colors as if dancing in the pure black eyes of the Airdren, they were a society mostly comprised of females and in appearance they looked human as long as one could forget the fact of the Airdren's soulless black eyes, the four brilliantly white wings that were attached to their backs and the oddity of there hair colors. however for a matriarch race, oddly enough there were children watching in awe upon the ground or sitting on the bridges that connected trees together as they watched the light show long since past their bed time.
The angry flow of notes and chirps could be heard as young parents pulled their children in as they chirped in protest held by the hands. The children where wingless unlike their parents and longed for the days they too would be able to fly. whoever growing the wings the longed of was a painful process that took months and years, and if they knew of the pain to come they would surely be content with remaining children for much longer.

However as the noise soon died down and couples watched the lights in silence with smiles in their faces, something was approaching the planet from afar, hidden within the foliage deep within the Hyperion forest, they never saw it coming... however when it entered the atmosphere the met with resistance, but its speed was far too great as it ruptured through the air causing sonic booms to be heard for hundreds of miles. The entirety of the city heard those fateful explosions in the air and froze in fear, they were in no means primitive but such an event had never happened. They were afraid of that unknown as the air exploded and then saw the bright vestige of something pass them over head. Its glow far surpassing the forest and then finally a tremor shook the ground violently as whatever the object was slammed into the forest outside there city by a mile.
They were frozen, lost in wonder of what had just happened until an alarm sounded across the city, it was a fire alarm, suddenly thousands of beings took to the air and soared through the foliage dodging branches by inch's and centimeters and flew out of the forest into the air above there home, what they saw made them gasp in shock as they looked to the devastation.
The object had collided with the trees and smashed through them effortlessly, however in the center of the crater besides a few small fires which where quickly cut away from the rest of the forest and placed into the crater to burn away safely, nothing besides that's was damaged. However the object that held there gaze was rested in the middle of the crater, it was a strange metallic object however in its impact, and due to the various gravity's it had suffered some damage guessing from the dents and cracks against its exterior.

Soon enough however some of the Airdren landed within the creator, it was a woman at the age of twenty three with black hair and wings, Caucasian skin, her eyes were solid black, She wore a simple frilly bluish black one piece dress embroidered with a gold image of a winged flaming fox running through green trees upon her back. She was the purest of the Airdren, and was one of the heads of this young collective having severed already for an impressive two thousand years.
She was known as Lorthous, one day to be known as "The Mother of the Nare". But as she walked towards the pod, she held a querying look on her face as she examined the object, speaking in small chirps and tones to the other three females and a small blade tailed child near her as they also looked at the object.

"What do you think this thing is"
"No clue your majesty, but the populace said from above the sky"
"I see... then lets take a closer look."

But when suddenly a small screen opened near her, she stepped back and raise her hand defensively held like a blade, her small nails seemed to twinkle with a strange but almost invisible light. However as a hand mark appeared on the screen, Lorthous seemed to lower her guard slightly as her nails stopped faintly shimmering. Slowly she took one step, then two and then tree, advancing on the pad and slowly placed her quivering hand on the screens surface.
It was slightly warm as it scanned her hand, but then the object started opening and then a hologram appeared before her.

It was a language unrecognizable to the Nare, strange sounds they couldn't make sense of but slowly the small child started to nod as the message replayed over and over, and then the child spoke, its tones a haunting almost gurgling elongated tone as it deciphered the message as best it could. When it was over Lorthous looked between the child and the strange hologram displayed from the pod and then turned lightly whipping her hand out and directed a sudden order with quiet seriousness.
"People of Seia, clear the forest upon the top of Kaguya to the west.
Master Overminds please use your Messenger's to level from Kaguya's highest point a flat surface and then and dig into the ground a kilometre and create a cavern for testing, please move the object into the cavern once its ready."

"Yes your Majesty, your "Will" shall be Done!" Screamed a voice from within the child from its mouth, it wasn't the same voice used from the chid before, its tone was darker and more elongated almost ominous as if a collective will was placed behind like a thousand voices speaking at once. However as if on cue the child started running on its small legs and then suddenly fell into a qurdapod stance as its muscles budged and then ripped apart grotesquely as the child screamed in pure pain spraying black fluids everywhere. From the flesh however dozens of small fibrous blade like appendages ripped out dripping the black fluid and the child head split in half and grew into a razor teethed wolf head, its jaws looked like it could crush diamond's effortlessly and then the strange creature that had been in a human form ran off like a demon n the night and disappeared.

One day this event would be called Enuma-Elish in the Nare Language, but at the same time these events would also one day be forgotten as well and lost into the depths of the unknown.

Mt. Kaguya
Several weeks later
Kalia'ris 83

In less then two days they would be in the season of Keifer, already they could see on the growing edges of the parent world the glow of reflected sunlight, it had been three weeks since the unknown object had crashed into there world, and with it brought strange changes. The first of which was watched by Lorthous as she saw thousand's of the people of Seia rapidly clear cut trees from the top of Kaguya's mountain cutting them away with their bare hands, or at least that's how it would look to outsiders. In reality the Nare were able to create a sort of psionic blade from there hands by trapping air within a small field and then vibrating it to an extreme frequency to allow them to sever though pretty much anything. Although being the harmonious people they were, the act of clear cutting the trees from Kaguya was currently figuratively killing them with guilt as they cupped the trees down to make lumber.
At the same time the top of Kaguya had been cleared by thousand of small black wolves rapidly carving into the ground a massive hole, and in the center several large masses of bright red luminescent fleshy tentacle like beings herded the wolfs with strange efficiency, as if queens to an ant hill.
The process only took a week but soon there was a massive multilayered cavern hidden below the surface. As Airdren and Overminds lowered the pod into those dark depths, they quickly started to install lighting in the pit below, and on the northern face of the mountain Solarpanels were erected in place as massive cable were also lowered into the depths.

As the pod released its secret's, the Nare where unfortunate to find that parts of its library's had been damaged, its data's corrupted and unable to be recovered, but from those loses untold gems soon were gained, as the cavern was soon filled with machinery and manufacturing plants. And then finally testing began as the first plants went online. The messengers quickly started to create a venting system to let out heat safely from below as smoke and heat stared to exit into the surface from Kaguyu's mountain sides and a strange futuristic rod like object was created weeks later. As it was painstakingly hooked into the solar power lines, it started to glow a light color.

It was moved to a large range the following day it gained its strange colors as stacks of various objects were lined up down range and was affixed to some sort of rotation moving object. Lorthous was present when the testing began when several young female Airdren scientists held a controller and small computers and fired then thing, it was less then a millisecond burst as the cavern glowed as a bright red lance screamed through the air and fried it instantly. the lance hit the stack of lumber and then they watched as the entire thing erupted in fire and smoke as the thing passed through it. As the rotator turned to a stack of metal the rod fired its deadly red pulse again, they watched as the first of the metal plates was completely blown away and turned into molten slag, as the beam carried on, other stacks similarly met the same fate and others fused together completely as the metal was exposed to the heat.

Lorthous was already shocked into silence, however as a messenger ran down range, it stopped behind a strange bulky object connected to wires from the ground, quickly it grabbed another metal panel and placed it in front of the odd looking object and then howled. Lorthous thought she could hear something powered up, but it was blinded out by the searing lance as it fired for the final time. Unexpectedly nothing happened that time as she watched the bright lance disappear into thin air, but she thought she caught sign of something shimmering. As the messenger stepped out from behind the wall and went to rejoin its Overmind, Lorthous and the scientists turned there attention to the strange rod at looked at it.
It no longer glowed as it short circuited due to sheer heat but its metals had been warped and fused into the rotatory devise, in fact the entire thing looked like plastic that had been twisted and warped by the effect of the sun from a magnifying glass.
quickly one of the scientists spoke out to answer the questions they knew Lorthous would have.

"This thing fires a high heat energy directed at a single point, from its effects we can guess that its hotter then the surface of the sun and it travels at light speed."
"Due to our own current limitation's it seems on surface levels we can get three activations out of it before it ends up like this, this is due to the sheer energy passing through the object fusing its internal components, in fact its a miracle that it fire three times become becoming like thing. it seems that if we have a significant cooling system we can increase its life exponentially however."

"What was that other object? behind the plate over there."

'Ah, that... it seems to be some sort of field producer able to negate the effects of this thing, once we have a better testing location well see if we can extend the effects and study the different variables and results."

I see, then I'll leave you... to it." spoke Lorthous, silently she was still quite bewildered, the air hurt to breath after that thing fired... the fact it didn't go through the metal plate... it was now all to much just what the hell was that pod thad uprooted there lives, and where was it trying to take them.
Why had it fallen onto them, Lorthous didn't know, but she had a feeling that this encounter with the pod was going to change everything, no it had changed everything.

Now was it for better?... or for worst?

High Council building, Alahan city, Eurion
After recent event of the pod that was dropped by a mysterious alien race, and the successful experiments of some technology that was inside the pod, everything changed.
More and more nations were trying to establish friendly relations with Alahana, if out of fear or otherwise.
The fact was that everything had changed for Alahana, and all nations on Eurion. That's why this was a popular topic among the chancellors of the High council.
Although this could only be good through the eyes of most people, many people still resisted the research of this technology.

During a meeting of the high council to authorize additional funds for the research, this fact came to light. Many chancellors came with arguments to stop this legalislation.
"Giving additional funds to this research will mean that something else will have to carry this burden. And the military will be among their victims. We are already at the brink of war with the imperium, lowering our defense budget will leave us more vulnerable and giving the additional funds to this research will give them more reason to attack us." Jhaered Rakther, Chancellor for West Alahana said
"How can we trust these aliens? What if this is some sort of complot to weaken us and eventually annihilate us?" Paisrosar Radvor, Chancellor of Castor said
"I don't believe we need this technology. This technology was meant to eventually avenge these fallen aliens, am I right? So this means that eventually we will come into open conflict with these aliens. But during their little war they left us alone because we were of no importance. So why won't we stay that way and stay safe?" Dryann Vororoth, Chancellor of South Karkan said

After more than 6 hours of debating, the High Chancellor called out a vote. All Chancellors took a small device that was connected to a wooden table by a small cable in front of each member of the council.
They had to press either the green button meaning yes, or the red button that was located beneath the green one meaning no. After a few minutes the results came in on the large, cubic screen in the middle of the council. A graph was shown showing the results of the vote. 83% of the chancellors was for, while only 17% were against. The funds were giving the the research of the technology inside the pod.

Outskirts of Alahan city, Eurion
Alahan city is a large city, the largest on Eurion. Home to over 40 million people and an additional 3 million people that go into the city everyday for their work. The infrastructure required to allow these people to enter and leave the city at any given time is gigantic. That's why the this project had to happen relative far away from the main city.
The project was the construction of a space elevator that will be able to connect to any space station already in orbit, or will be launched in the future. With the new technology this project could become reality.

Soon the people of Alahana, and all of Eurion will be living in the future, hopefully a bright future.

Keifer 1: Time: 5:00 pm
Hyperion Forest: Capital; Seia

Today was the first day of Keifer, overhead above the cool forest foliage and odd the cloud cover, Nora-Vas'tal watched over the nare quietly acting as it always had done and reflected heat towards Agenisi. Like a impure ball of gold mixed impossibly with lapis lazuli Nora-Vastal showed is magnificence as its backdrop for the Airdren that flew lightly thought the sky's above the forest heading to work in hidden orchards. All in all, the pod hadn't changed much of daily life for the Nare in the weeks since its fall from heaven. The pod was also named Enuma-Elish after its event, for its meaning to the Nare was literally, "The star that separated Heaven and Earth".
Within the capital however within the highest reaches of Mother Hyperion's branches, a massive crystal like building which was wrapped around the entire tree watched over the grounds below. Within the strange crystal like building filled with gently built archways etched with the entirety of the Nare history hidden within pictures etched into the crystal.
However the building which was created by fusing it to Mother Hyperion was actually a ten storied building built like a donut within, as the massive thirty meter hole in the center served as a sort of open elevator for the flying Airdren, however there were plenty of staircases connecting the floors as well for those who simply didn't want to fly during work.

The first four levels of the building were meant for the collectives day to day activity's, It was what one could call the most governmental part of Nare society as it organized the collectives internal affairs such as the capitals housing development, orchard development, and most recently Kaguya.
The next three levels from five to seven were a massive library, a collection of books and records free to public eyes.
Eight was where the heads of the collective met acting as a massive senate with the floor currently being divided into two as different sections of the Nare's hidden city's and Overmind nests gathered to discuss actions and problems. The ninth floor was the smallest but was developed as a sort of planetary C.C. acting as the chain of command, until recently the level had been used as mainly as storage, but with the arrival of "Enuma", the floor had been quickly cleaned and a strange blue print had been created and placed on the most center table.

The final level was Lorthous's home, a floor being only slightly larger then the C.C. it consisted itself of two levels with the lower serving as an official office while the upper level held within it her kitchen and adjoining living room, bedroom, bathroom and a large garden attached to the side with sunlight breaking through. All in all it was a small but peaceful abode.
However Lorthous was currently slumped at her office desk which was made and carved out from Mother Hyperion, the wood internally from Hyperion was a deep crimson red but looked similar on feel to marble stone, but as the table had been created and carved out, as it was still attached to the tree and teemed with life as a small sprig grew from out of the right corner wit a few leaves in bright green color.
Stacks of paper and books lied around the room making it look rather disorganized and Lorthous angrily tapped her desk in annoyance with her index finger, underneath that finger was a small silver ball had been modified into her desk, it was some sort of miniature computer but Lorthous herself could get it to even turn on. Sighing she had given up until one of her aide walked in with a portable and helped her turn the computer on.

As the aide placed Lorthous palm on the ball, the hummed and turned to life as small strange screens faded into existence around Lorthous. Silently she still couldn't help but gasp at the level this technology showed progress, maybe it was because there pod had been damaged that they were forced to rapidly accelerate in odd directions. But as the small ball started to dimly glow Lorthous removed her hand and started taping the strange screens, she was amazed to find the screens feel slightly solid as her fingers lightly moved across there surface.
As her aide slowly started removing stacks of paper Lortouse quickly asked with a questionable look.

"Jess what are you doing I haven't read through that section."
Jess quickly stopped what she was doing and lightly turned to Lorthous and lightly replied with a smile on her face, her skin tone was Caucasian and her hair a braided cyan resting down her right side. Oddly enough her wings hinted the cyan at it tips of each feather which made them unique when compared to the average solid white Airdren, which made sense since her eyes weren't solid black like most Airdren. Instead the most odd feature beyond her wings was her eyes which had a black sclera with dark blue pupils she wore a dark blue colored suit with an small emblem of a sword with several wings behind it and held within a multilayered shield upon her arm.
Lorthous momentarily thought that maybe a new strain had been created, but decided to place that matter for later.
"Majesty... why do you think the scientists installed that prototype on your desk? It has all the information gathered on your floor within it."
"I thought technology was suppose to make life easier."
"Oh but it does your Highness, now I don't have to trip whenever I walk into your office." Said Jess with a small but menacing smile.
"Jess, your smiling strangely again..."
"Am I... Oh hohohoho."

As Lorthous silently shook her head, her fingers silently tapped the strange floating screen as they summoned reports and the data that had been on her floor, as Jess quickly went back to work gathering stacks of paper, a small message suddenly popped up in front of Lorthous, hesitantly her fingers taped the new icon and to quickly expanded. What was shown was the current view of Mt. Kaguya, which looked very industrial from the shown solar panels and smoke, however as she examined the diagram another icon flashed underneath it. She quickly pressed it and another diagram opened overtop of the mountain, the lines converged and the already shown diagrams lines turned bright red as the two pictures were overlapped. What she could see was a expansion plan of Mt. Kaguya with prospects to deepen the already 1 Km cavern and turn it into a 20 mile deep and fortified dock.
Silently she thought someone was getting excited pitching such a plan to her, but she noticed then as another report accompanying showed data of some sort of system, as she looked further her body started trembling ever so slightly, what was being proposed was something that the Nare had struggled with for years, no it was already far beyond such a concept as her eyes looked at the schematics.

"It cant be... a working liner catapult?... and this is a reactor development plant of some kind?
It can't be, this is a naval dock... Why is this plan that I've been working on for years suddenly shown up... its even solved for the variable of greenhouse gas's.. no even that is at zero... just what is this?"

As Lorthous slumped back in her chair her mind was running in circles. Was this someone cruel prank, or was this the guidance of the Enuma-Elish.

"Oh Kaguya... Just what are you going to become to us?"

"It is obvious that with no threats to face us the Military Branch should relinquish some of its funding" called one Political Branch member.

"I disagree, should there be any excessive violence then we shall require the military. What we must remove is the foreign section of the Intelligence Branch" called another.

"Nonsense, we simply re-purpose them into internal agents" called out a member of the Intelligence Branch.

"The military requires all the funding it has to ensure our safety, for all we know there are threats in the stars above us that could come down upon our heads. The military is required to ensure our safety from such things" cried a member of the Military Branch as a resounding boom tore through the city shaking the chamber.

"What was that" asked a Political Branch Member.

"We're under attack" called out another.

"It's a rebellion" shouted one particularly paranoid member.

"Everyone to the bunker" came the cries of a terrified Political Branch member.

"Remain calm" shouted one of the Military Branch members defaulting on his training like the others of his branch "troops will be en-route, we will know momentarily what happened".

Armed troops wasted no time in securing the pod, keeping away intrigued citizens and approaching with weapons raised ready to give their lives in defence of their people. The Captain of the Guard approached beginning to radio in when with a snap-hiss a section of the pod opened revealing the hologram of an alien with which came a message.

The message had been heard by the council through the radio link and immediately the poor man was being bombarded with orders, some saying to destroy it, some saying to isolate it and others calling for it to be studied. Over the radio he heard the council deciding to sacrifice funding for some tertiary industries to fund research of the device, ordering him to see it safely transported to a nearby laboratory.

"Now to the final item on today's agenda, one of our top researchers has been selected to reveal to us some of the advancements made from the alien pod" announced one of the Political Branch members "Doctor, you have the floor".

"Thank you sir, it should come as no surprise to any of you that our research into the alien pod has yielded amazing discoveries that until no have been the subject of mere speculation and fantasy" said the man in the centre of the room, his voice projected through speakers to reach the edges of the chamber "the pod has taught us much but some data was corrupted and as such is out of our reach for the moment. My assistants shall come in to demonstrate each new discovery, so I shall not be talking the entire time. Firstly we will demonstrate some new developments that will greatly interest the military, practical energy weapons and armour beyond what we have ever seen".

With that said two women and a man entered the room, the women were armed with two weapons one of which appeared to be a regular pistol, the other appeared to be an odd looking rifle whilst the man was encased in simple body armour carrying a slab of metal with him. "Honoured leaders, it is our honour to present to you our latest military breakthroughs from this particle weapon" the woman holding the pistol said slightly raising the weapon "as well as a prototype lance rifle, that being a weapon which fires a beam or 'lance' of energy" the rifle was raised "finally we will be showing off a prototype body armour alongside a new exceptionally resistant yet lightweight material".

The two women fired several times at the armour though the one with the rifle only fired once as the rifle almost shot through the armour entirely "as you can see the prototype armour is very tough, able to withstand several shots from energy weapons though only one lance rifle shot can be sustained. We did not fire at the metal though because of its highly reflective nature, we are developing a non-refelctive version which could be used anywhere from space stations to tanks, spaceships to buildings" their piece said the three left passing by a heavily augmented man accompanied by a medical team as they left.

The man took centre floor "you may all recognise me, victim of an accident which caused irreparable brain damage, crushed my eyes and robbed me of my limbs. I now come before you on shaky legs not yet used to once again walking, a massive team was put to creating the cybernetics I now use to live. This is technology which we can use to help millions regain sight, hearing, the ability to walk, prevent Alzheimers and dementia, no more need we suffer. In addition to this great strides have been made in the fields of medicine and computing as you can partly see by myself, with this technology we can make tablet computers which make our best supercomputers look like pocket calculators. Please use this to help our people" finished the man calling the medical team over with a wheelchair which he collapsed into, leaving he passed a rather jittery man.

"I wont take up too much of your time esteemed leaders but we have found something which has eluded us for quite some time now" said the man "miniaturised fusion technology which once in production will be cheap enough for everyone to use. This technology opens up entirely new avenues of research in fact, the energy weapons shown earlier were examples of miniaturised fusion, but the most significant thing to come from that is working designs and theories for an FTL engine which would make travelling the stars practical. To reach our moon would only take a few hours rather than weeks, planets could be reached in days not months or years. I really must get back now though, thank you for your time" the man left leaving the room to erupt into a sea of hushed conversations as the chamber emptied for further deliberations later.

High Council building, Alahan city, Eurion
The high council has just been dismissed, and Ahlan Edard, the high chancellor, was finishing up on some business when the lead researcher of the pod came in, escorted by 2 guards.
When Ahlan dismissed them they turned around and left the room as instructed with a steady pace. When the door closed behind them he started to ask questions. "So, what news do you bring? Is there any progress in the research?"
The researcher tried to look as serious as he could, be he could not keep his excitement for himself. His serious face started smiling and he said "You have no idea. To keep it short, our IT compartment has succesfully made a Virtual intelligence, the medical department was able to create a fluid that is able to heal in an extremely short amount of time, our robotics departmnet have invented cybernetics that are able to enhance human capabilities, the engineering department were able to make anti gravitational engines, as well as gravitational engines, and my own science department was able to create an energy source that is both durable and environment friendly "
Ahlan's mouth just dropped out of disbelief "So what does this mean for 'project Archangel'?"
"We will be able to start it as soon as they are authorized to do so."

Outskirts of Alahan city, Eurion
While the space elevator was being constructed , in its shadows was another project. For the ordinary eye it looked like just a large hole in the ground, but when inspecting ot closer it was clear it was not just a hole.
This hole was about 300 meters deep, 2 kilometers in length and about 700 meters wide. When the green light was given to project Archangel, another construction started inside this hole, even when it was still under proper construction.
A convoy of black armored government cars entered the construction zone. Many high political figures stepped out, the high chancellor, minister of defense and the Grand general of the armed forces were among them.
They were welcomed by the chief engineer of project Archangel, Devin Morthal. They had to put on safety equipment for all the dangers that come with these kind of constructions.
Once they were all ready to go they started their tour for project archangel. After some basic introduction of this construction site they moved on to the central hole. It was dark becouse there were automatic doors above it keeping the sunlight out and the lights inside the main pit were out so that there could be a grand reveal. Devin started his little explanation of what was behind him.
"So this is what we're all here for. Project Archangel. Some of you already know what this project is, and some of you don't. You all know about the technology that was inside the pod that dropped a while ago. The technology inside of it would allow us to boost ourselves into the space age. Now may I present you, THE ARCHANGEL!"

The lights went on one by one with a *tzoof* sound and when all the lights were on a large ship could be seen, a space ship. Everyone was in awe, the ones that didn't know about it, and the ones that did know about it to, because they didn't expect anything like this.
Devin started to talk "This spaceship is equiped with all of the latest technologies we discovered in the pod. A virtual intelligence that will calculate everything for you, an engine that is powered by a durable energy source that would last for over hundred years without ever refueling, and of course Faster-than-light traveling. The latter is a technology we were not able to test out yet, but we hope to do just that with this ship."
"So will we be able to see a demonstration?" the minister of defense asked Devin.
"Not yet, the ship is still under construction, the new technologies are being installed and this hangar has still to be finished. I expect that it will be open for demonstration in a month or so." Devin explained

While everyone was in awe, they had to wait a little longer to see what the ship was really capable of.

Keifer 29: Time: 9:34pm
Hyperion Forest: Capital; Seia

Lorthous was once again within her office tapping away at the most recent reports from Kaguya, near by Jess sat at a small desk silently tapping away at similar holograms as she compiled reports however, nearby a tea set was lightly steaming away filling the room with gentile scents and a cup filled with the light reddish liquid was very often seen either within Jess's hands or being filled.
It had been weeks since the installation of her computer into her desk, and she had more or less grown accustomed to its ease in usage, in fact it wasn't unfair to say that it was almost natural. Within her holoscreens various reports were occasionally being passed back and forth between the two women and Kaguya.
It the three weeks since the project had been shown to her desk, Kauguya had gone under a further massive change as the machinery within its depths had been upgraded, and then further upgraded as newer and better components where installed. In fact most of the machinery was now completely automated and self-sufficient with little to no external technical interference.
In fact from its most deepest point, a further mile had been added and a strange server had been installed with dozens of physical blast shields protecting and isolating it off from overhead from the rest of Kaguya.

The computer that was once freshly installed on her desk was now widely available to the general populace in retail, in fact however there was now no longer even a need for the palm sized sphere shaped computer as a new model built like a bracelet was now the forefront of computer technology, offering everything the sphere could do, with mobile convenience. Lorthous felt like she could already hear the excited screams of the Nare as a whole since the bracelets were rather cute.

However as the technology progressed at a dizzying pace, Lorthous felt like she was being given all her answers, she knew from two thousand years experience that they would have eventually have reached the current point, but the progress was simply too advanced in the areas for her liking. It was like flying on her wings and not being able to get tired, if such a thing was possible, she would never touch the ground again. In fact she knew t wasn't wrong to say that the ground would become a completely foreign concept to her.
And as she had time to think something then strange caught her in the moment, it was strange when she thought about it how had she been to even read holograms of the computer when she had first receive it. It was a prototype after all, how could there have been no bugs, no failure's or errors codes, even there language was written down to perfection...
Lorthous stopped completely that at the moment as her mind cleared, her fingers hovering over new reports and her eyes focused a steely glare on the dimly glowing computer, silently Jess noticed this and spoke lightly.
"Your majesty what's wrong?."
As if Jess's voice snapped her back Lorthous slowly turned her attention on Jess, while her glare made Jess lightly jump thinking that she had done something wrong. But as Lorthous lightly sighed, she spoke with a tone that was bewildered. while her mind once again resumed its thought process's as she thought about the day Enuma-Elish arrived to them. Since then the strangers message had been completely translated into their musical language, but as her mind worked slowly her fingers opened up that hologram, she was going to analyze it and break it down piece by piece determined to get to the bottom of this façade.

"Jess, don't you think its odd... Our most recent progress's have been rather amazing when studying Enuma-Elish... but when I received this computer... how did it know our written language? something doesn't sit right with me."
And then as her fingers lightly tapped the holoscreen. All the screens in the room within a split second ripped away from them and converged in the middle of the room. Before them was once again the recording that had called itself Or'dihil. It stood in their presence almost as if it was a real being, but contrary to there expectations it simply recited the same message it had given on that day. The only difference was that it was now a mix of birdsong and tones that was received to there ears.

Greetings life form, my name is Or'dihil and I am archlord of the Aegen empire.

However as she examined the message breaking it down into its parts, even more questions arrived, what exactly was this "Aegen Empire", what were the "Outsiders?".
As the hologram of Or'dihil dissolved and there screens fade back into existence, Lorthous quickly started entering keywords and then her terminal exploded.
Not literally of course, but dozens of pages opened, holograms containing vast scores of the Aegen empires history. There society and there strange military warships that they had used to battle the outsiders in the early days of their war. But as Lorthous quickly sent the information to Jess to work on who gave a sigh as she was forced to halt her compiling from Kaguya. Lorthous then entered something she felt she was going to regret. "The Nare"

Her terminal once again exploded with information from hidden server within Kaguya, however the information in its detail astounded her.
It was their history and society, genetic roadmaps of both the Airdren, the Messenger's and the Overminds. Physical tests that had been performed at some point to show their limitation's of each mutation, even how they had evolved was detailed in a horrifying accuracy... but not only that it even had their strange abilities categorized for every Nare category.
Lorthous was shocked, how long had this Aegen empire watched them or even studied them.
As she placed her fingers on the bridge of her nose and sighed as if a migraine have assaulted her, another report came from Kaguya. she quickly closed the information and scanned the report before sending it to Jess, who quickly gave her a glare from all the work being forced upon her. Lorthous likely smiled in her direction and then spoke as if mockingly with a light smile.
"Technology makes life easier right... think now, all that time you spent on my floor can be used for this."
"Your Majesty, your smiling strangely again."
"I know I am..."

However at that time, Lorthous started feeling that maybe they were relying on Enuma-Elish a bit too much, and thus started a program from her computer, displayed was a problem she had been working on for ages, its components was of a unknown element design in its neutrons and protons resembling a sort of quart's mixed with a diamond, beside it was one of the new metal materials the "Star" had bestowed upon them and near it she added the Nare genetic code.
In another window various vessel design's were created, but they were all biased on metal.
Such vessels while good maybe for other races was not the Nares style, sure they'd use them after all metal had durability... But Lorthous knew that it would be far to uncomfortable to her people to be cooped up in a metal rig with no nature if they ventured into the stars, and thus started on the project that would define the Nare vessels to one day come.
As for Kaguya, it was still going to take months to create the "Linear Catapult" within the depths of Kaguya to its peak.
But at the same time as they were advancing with a scary speed, little could they know that others too were included in this strange new arms race.

Mano Space Station
Mon System

The captain of the V.E.S. Hammer stared out from the bridge. He was watching the slow rotation of the Genisys-class space station as it hung there in space in majestic glory. The station looked like a sphere that had grown two triangle shaped protrusions exactly across from each other. Starlight from the two stars, one yellow and the other blue, glinted off of the sleek sides and gun batteries of the metal used to construct the station. Hundreds of ships came to and from the station before leaving in a bright flash of light.
Suddenly, Lt. Veert Maango burst into the captain's quarters. "I told no one to disturb me," he snapped.
"Ordinarily, I would respect that, but there is a small pod the size of a lifeboat heading towards the station," the Lt. said hurriedly.
"Bridge now!" Captain Sharkin ordered, he had been named that by his two adoptive Markan parents. "What else do we know about this?"
"Our scans out inconclusive. The metal is not one we know of and is close to strength of the carbonite we us in you and your brethren.
"Set an intercept course, he ordered as he arrived on the bridge and the crew stood to greet him. The crew immediately went back to their stations.
The engines started to life casting an orange glow on the cosmic dust behind them. The Hammer positioned itself in between the station and the pod.
"Sir!" one of the officers shouted. "The pod will crash into us in 15... 14... 13... 12... 11... 10...
As the officer reached ten, the pod activated a thruster and slowed just as it reached the hangar doors. The doors slid open and the pod descended inwards.
"Get a tech team down their immediately," the Captain Sharkin ordered. An officer pushed a button and spoke into a microphone.
"Tech team to the hangar, tech team to the hangar." The message would play until the tech team checked in to the hangar.
Captain Sharkin strode off the bridge to meet the tech team. Once there, the message playing on the intercom shut off and a small screen extended from the pod. The captain put his hand out and touched the glowing blue screen.
"Insufficient rank," the pod stated as the screen flashed red.
"Maybe the admiral can open it," stated one member of the tech team to the nods of the others.
"Get him on comms and lock this hangar down."
One of the officers who had accompanied the captain hailed the admiral who was staying at the nearby station.
"Admiral," the officer said, "we have a U.F.O. here and we think you can unlock it."

"We are proud to announce that the upgrade of all computer systems throughout the Alliance is progressing smoothly" announced a member of the Political Branch "it is also my pride to announce that many accident victims, blind and deaf citizens are clamouring to receive what augments we have already built for them. However, there is a worrying movement appearing calling itself the Human Purity movement, naturally schools are dissuading this line of thought to nip it in the bud but many religiously inclined citizens are following this worrisome trend".

"If they attempt anything they shall be tried as extremists like all others have been" countered a Justice Branch member "they will have to learn that it is all for the best".

"We of the Military Branch would like to announce the restrictions that we have agreed for cybernetics. Any individual who has their cerebral cortex augmented with an AI shall be declared dead and be classified as a JAK which as part of the Human-Higher-Thinking-Augmentation Act shall henceforth be deemed illegal, this is because the individual shall no longer exists whilst their body is then being desecrated to create a JAK which shall be subject to immediate termination if discovered. Furthermore, military personnel shall be limited to maximum augmentation allowance of 40% of their bodily mass, anything above that shall make them a super-soldier and thus ineligible to partake in any offensive actions. These are laws which we feel should applied to all augmented beings be they human or alien" declared one of the Military branch members receiving applause for the laws proposed "you will find these laws on your personal terminals for you to vote on later".

"It is prudent to also mention that we are now beginning the construction of our first shipyards which is projected to take a month to complete with another month being required for our FTL test ship, the Tantalus which shall also serve as our first warship in space. A large number of ship hulls are also being designed to act as freighters, colony ships, mining vessels and additional warships to defend ourselves with" announced another Military Branch member "we are also beginning construction of large space stations which we call Exchanges in orbit, these will take several months to complete but shall give us an economical method of moving resources to and from space due to projected difficulties with getting jump-capable ships to and from planetary surfaces. Furthermore, the military is now receiving new energy weapons and armour though complete replacement of all equipment is projected to take six months, this is the same amount of time as it will take for our current civilian aircraft to be replaced by shuttles which can transition to space for a much faster travel time".

The Alliance government would spend quite some time further discussing the improvements to their society.

The admiral was in the middle of lunch when he received the hail from the Hammer.
"Admiral Ack here," he answered.
"We have an alien pod over here and we think we need you to unlock it," an excited voice sounded over the comm.
"Dock in hangar 13. A science vessel is next door with most of our best minds. We can load it up and and take it to Vogega," he ordered. The admiral hung up and immediately commed flight control.
"I have a ship with special cargo. It needs to dock immediately."
"Acknowledged."
The crowd of ships waiting to dock had been waiting for a while. As the pilots saw they had to wait, they angrily screamed at the ship passing them until they realized it was a battle cruiser. They sat back into their chairs subdued.
The ship docked in the hanger and the probe was wheeled out to the waiting admiral and the science team. The screen once again popped out, but this time, as the admiral pushed his middle right hand onto the sensor, it glowed a bright green and a holographic image played.

"Greetings life form, my name is Or'dihil and I am archlord of the Aegen empire. You may not know this but we are an empire that spans all of the galaxy. But my empire won't last for much longer. The message played twice more in the different languages of the Empire.
The admiral and everyone else was shocked. The science team reported that 2 of the files were corrupted, but they could see blueprints and files in the others.
"Get this to Vogega instantly," the admiral ordered.
The pod was swiftly loaded up and moved to the science ship. It was given a massive military escort as it headed to the capital of the Empire.

The Empreror and his advisers were being given a tour of all the new advances that had come from the pod.
"What is this?" the Emperor asked.
"This is the metal we use in most of our construction and ships. This is some ion and plasma weapons we have made from the pod. They make our rail-rifles look like peashooters. They showed him how the metals reacted when shot from the new weapons.
"We also have bacta, a massive healing ointment, and some shielding."
He once again demonstrated how each worked.
"However, the shield does not stop missiles or kinetic weapons."
"Refit our ships with this new tech and everything else. What was the corrupted files again?"
"The corrupted files were laser technology and cybernetics. The cybernetics were of little loss because our own program is quite advanced."
"Very good," the Emperor said as he swept out the door.

Outskirts of Alahan city, Eurion
"3...2...1... Lift off." Devin Morthal, the chief engineer of Project Archangel announced. After a few nerve wrecking seconds, he made a second announcement.
"Project Archangel is live, I repeat project Archangel is live." This is the line that announced the start of the space age of Alahana.
Everyone started cheering. This was a great success. While citizens were witnessing this mark in history on the big screens, the team inside the control room went back to work.
"Archangel crew. Do you read me?"Devin asked through the communications of the room to set up a link with the ship. He was just about to repeat his question after a few seconds of silence until he heard "Comms are stable, we hear you loud and clear chief.".

To make sure that the launch really did go he used the prototype scanning equipment installed in the control tower. His readings were able to show detected lifeforms, shield power left and hull damage, pretty basic but this is all the information that is scannable from outside the ship. He matched his readings with the readings on board the ship and it was a match. So the prototype scanners were a success.

The ship was now in orbit of Eurion, with the two moons visible flying by the Eurion space station, combined with a great view into the vastness of space. The crew then proceeded to continue their tests. "Asking permission to engage my FTL drive". the captain of the ship asked the chief engineer.
"No not yet."Devin responded with a quick and steady voice. After which he explained "The FTL is the most dangerous part, we want to be completely sure the other prototypes are operational before we authorize a FTL travel." The crew agreed and they moved on
To test the communication, Devin said "We'll start with the communication time. Repeat after me: One, Two, Three"
After less than a second, the captain of the ship responded. This was the standard response time for communication from person to person. This meant that there was no time delay over the communication link. The communication link was hereby also faster than light.

As next prototype, Devin wanted to make sure the engine was holding out well. He asked the captain for a quick read of the energy levels of the engine, and the results were astonishing. The engine was still on 99% and the timer that told the expected remaining hours, or in this case years. On this speed of energy depletion the power levels would reach 0 in 155 years 8 months 6 days and 14 hours. But this is only with the engine and life support systems engaged. When the ship would use its energy weapons the energy would also deplete and when the shield is engaged the energy levels would also deplete faster. But this could all calculated by the Virtual intelligence on board of the ship.
The captain asked the VI "How long would we last with all systems engaged?", the VI immediatly responded with "When the ship is flying on full speed, with shields engaged, all systems on in every room and weapons constantly firing, we would last about 256 days.". The difference in 155 years and 256 days is big, but is still extremely long for a power source that doesn't have any emission of dangerous substances or any radioactive waste after its use.

"Alright now our last test before we will move on to the moment we are all waiting for." Devin said to the crew of the ship as well as the crew of the control room.
The energy weapons that have been tested multiple months before were installed as defensive weapons right next to the control tower. "Captain, we're gonna fire a shot of a laser turret on the ship, be sure that the shields are on." Normally it would require a few minutes before the laser turret is able to fire, but it has been on stand by since the launch so it is fully operational now. Devin counted down as ave permission to fire. The laser gun quickly shot 3 bursts of red glowing energy to the ship. The crew of the ship didn't see it coming because laser travels as fast as the speed of light, but what they did see was a bit blue glowing energy. This meant that the shield absorbed the shots. The readings of the scan showed that the shield only lost about 2% of its power.
They moved on to a constant beam of laser energy, after a few seconds the permission was given and a constant beam was fired. The blue glowing energy was still there and the ship was not damaged. This time the shields lost 5% of their power. But what was a new discovery is that the shield also generates itself. The shield was at 98% after the burst, but reached 99% again just before the impact of the laser beam. This was a nice surprise to all.
When they did this they continued to the last form of attack they had on this moment. Kinetic weapons, in this case a rocket. A highly explosive rocket specifically made for space to shoot incoming asteroids. This type of rockets was made without the technology the Aegen provided. These rockets were already tested before on asteroids larger than 50 km in diameter and one rocket was able to break them down. When the rocket launched it took several minutes before there was an impact. The blue energy field became clearly visible now and the shock could be felt throughout the ship. The energy levels dropped to 67% but they were able to absorb the massive amount of energy the rocket released. The crew was relieved that they survived that, but could not wait to continue to start on the final test.

Everyone was now focusing on Devin, who had to give the command that the crew of the Archangel were authorized to use their FTL drive. "Alright, now for the final part of this test. Make sure a low intensity of your shield is engaged to block any rubble you may encounter, make sure your energy levels are stable and your drive core is receiving enough energy. Also don't forget to set your current coordinates as home coordinates so you are able to navigate back. Good luck, you are authorized to engage your FTL drive" Although this was a very dangerous part and could most likely cost the crew their lives, they were very eager to start it up and travel faster than light.
The checklist could be heard summed up by the captain over the comms "FTL drive is engaged, the input has the right coordinates, all systems are stable, we are ready to jump. Jumping in 3...2...1" The typical sound of an FTL jump as in the movies could be heard but then the communication dropped. Everyone's face changed from excited to worried. After a few minuted of dead silence the comms started cracking. And finally some speech could be heard "Archangel to base, Archangel to base, can you hear me?". The worried face of Devin changed to a relieved one. But a big sight he answered "We hear you loud and clear Archangel."
After a few seconds Devin continued to make sure everything went smoothly "Was the jump successful, we thought we lost you there for a moment."
"Haha yes, I forgot to make sure the communication had enough energy but because of the energy peak of the jump some of the systems lost power. That's a thing we learned for in the future."

Devin started to laugh "Captain, THIS IS THE FUTURE!"
"Even When broken a sword may still cut."

"Let us begin," Emperor Alek Morningstar pronounced.
The first one to step forward was Romulan Shippactor, the requisitioner for the military. "New ships are being constructed with the new technology. The new metal is being used to build armor and weapons for the infantry and the armored vehicles. We have put ion point-defense lasers on our ships to stop missiles and other kinetic weapons." He stepped back as he finished.
Next, was the internal affairs counselor. "Sales of anti-gravity cars are booming. We are also having a boast in happiness with the new computers and AI's, which have been installed to your other bodies Emperor."
"Good, very good."
The head of the research program came forward as the other counselor stepped down. He nervously fidgeted with his collar. "We have combined what we know of ions with the pod and increased the output of their pod by 7%. The shields are being made better, but the more power they have, the more they can withstand. We have finished with the plasma missile and increased the power of all of our ion weaponry using technology borrowed from the pod. Our ships now have gravity as well.
The Emperor was shocked, all of the ships he had been on, the crew were wearing magnetic boots to keep them right-side up. This was a real breakthrough. "What about negative ions?"
"What about them sir."
"Can they be made into engines and weapons. If we hit them with a missile of negative ions, will their ion weaponry stop working?"
"Interesting," the tech counselor said walking out of the chambers.
Next, the politician stepped forward.
"We should find these outsiders, and ally with them. We should because they probably own their galaxy and these Aegins obviously didn't think we were important enough to talk to or to help. Why should we help them," he said stepping down.
"Dismissed," the Emperor ordered as everyone left him to his musings.

Keifer 01: Time: 11:45 am
Hyperion Forest: Capital; Seia.

It had been two full revolutions of Agenisi since the release of the bracelets, in that time Enuma-Elish's research had been slowed down massively from the fast advancements in holofield technology and computer tech to its current snail like pace. Was all in order, to focus solely on the construction of Mt. Kaguya's "Linear Magnetic Acceleration Catapult". For the Nare the before and after was shocking when the one reflected on the once glorious mountain.
That lone mountain near the planets equator which had been filled with lush forest and teaming with life had now been changed. Its once greenery and then subsequent bare rocky surface which still gave it a once majestic feeling was covered in layers of protective steel plating and solar panels.
The cables that were once littered over the north face of the mountain and headed into the cavern within had been skillfully moved into large painstakingly made tunnels and then as soon as they were covered. Were filled over and welded with tons of titanium steel plates for protection.

As more Solar panals were added to the other faces of Kaguya to add to the powersupply needs, the inside of the mountain underwent rapid change as the rock within was cut away or layered in titanium, as further supports were built to handle the metals extra weight.
Kaguya was no longer just a naval port, it was fair to say that the entire area was the single most fortified place on Agenisi and being that the area was soon to be equipped with dome shielding and external defensive weaponry within the next couple weeks, Kaguya was about to become nigh impenetrable.
However that massive crater that had once only been thirty meters was now a massive five hundred meter hole which was constantly glowing dimly with steel rings and rails falling into the depths until everything within that hole was simply seen as solid light indistinguishable from the metal.
However fifthteen miles below a massive network of massive hangers filled with the constant sound of metal being welded and pieced together was the only music in play. Heat from constant welding, trapped air as well as being underground which acted as a natural insulator anyway made the construction teams within wear only light clothing which was constantly drenched in sweat. In fact it was hot enough that most would rather be in a sauna where at least the heat could be controlled. The basic AC system had long since been replaced and tried to bring in cool air from the outside could only remove the heat once construction had finished.

However near the "Catapult" built into the rock between several dozen levels, a massive housing complex's made for the naval base was constructed with massive corridor's and rooms. In one such room overlooking the main hanger stood a small group of Nare, dressed in a strange mixture of bright white bandage like suits. Which made them look like patents who had been in horrid accidents were standing at attention before a massive window. Near that window Lorthous looked outside at the main hanger with a mix of displeasure and awe. Today she too ad exchanged her dark blue one piece dress for a similar bandage like suit, the only difference was that hers had that gold flaming winged fox embroidered upon her arm while the others held silver fox's upon theirs.

Lightly her four black wing's twitched as she lightly turned on her heels and stared at young Airdren children before her. It was only seven people, all young women looking at the age of eighteen. From the seven they all held Caucasian skin tones and had pure black eyes like most Airdren however they all held their hair in a short fashion being a mix of purple tones with white wings. However as they looked at Lorthous the center most lightly stepped up in front of her fellows and lightly spoke with a strange formal tone.
"Mistress Lorthous, I, Yuli Ronqi, Captain of the recently completed Jericho Class Frigate, Vessel ID# 0001- The Advance, and my bridge crew has arrived on station as per request. Ma'am."

"Good please make yourselves comfortable, it will be short." spoke Lorthous as she lightly raised her hand towards a large set of chairs around a bright red table near the center of the room. As the members of the crew quickly took seats at the sides of the table, Lorthous lightly sat down at the head of the table and then lightly spoke.

"I have summoned you here on the eve of the advances launch to congratulate you on finishing your training, but I remind you that no matter what you see, this is a test run of not only the Kaguya catapult, but of the Jericho Frigate as well." as Lorthous stopped, her face made a annoyed appearance as she lightly placed the palm of her hand on her face and heavily sighed. the crew could understand her feelings, the "frigate" while sleek and shiny had no natural nature within from fear of rusting the vessel from the inside out, it was only metal and once it was in the void, they would be trapped within it breathing recycled air for who knows how long.

however as Lorthous regained her composure and spoke, her appointed crew lightly smiled as they listened.
"You all know my feelings on the designs Enuma-Elish has given us, but until the completion of "Project Starfire" has been created I'll have you make use of those abominations... I mean... screw it I hate those rigs.
I completed the Starfire theory a few weeks ago, but the actual creation of the crystal metal has taken far longer then expected for the amount we want. It will take at least a year to construct the main internals of the projected vessel, with a further two or three years for the external hull and armor hardpoints."

"I see ma'am... then congratulations on solving the problem that has stalled you for a millennia."
"Thank you captain, however it is almost time for launch, I've likely kept you here too long anyway so in final... I guess it would be appropriate to say good luck."
"Ma'am, we'll bring you a good reward." said Yuli as she stood up pushing the chair back lightly, slowly she raised her hand over her heart and lightly bowed her head before quickly turning on her heels and then with her crew silently left the room.
Silently in that maddening silence however was Lorthous as she lightly leaned back and then looked once more towards the window at the hanger and lights, as small tear formed from her eyes and then rolled down her cheek as she mouthed a silent answer.
"The only reward I need is you making it back here safely my children."

The Hanger was lit up like a festival as Yuli and her crew approached her ship, the design of Kaguya was a creation from Enuma so while it was comprised of metal. It used strange gravity lifts to get crew from level to level and was according in various ways to the Nare. The Jericho Frigate was sealed alone in the main hanger able to be over looked by Lorthous. However the main hanger was a large one mile long and wide room with five hundred meters in height with various levels and sections for vessels to be docked, in fact it was theorized to be able to hold up to a sixty frigates alone if they were to build that many.
Currently however the hanger's was only resident was the Advance which was being swarmed with technician's from the vessel doing last minute external checks.
At the mid section of the vessel a large five meter door stood ajar while several Airdren dressed in darker grey uniforms, there wings were all a bright crimson as they stood at attention watching as the bridge crew entered the hanger lift. Artificial gravity, only Kaguya and the crew of the Advance were equipped with such devises, they were going to soon be a revolution once released. No longer would they be forced to the ground and kept within the limitations of short ranged flight and gliding on thermals for rest. the would be able to fly freely, for as long as they wanted while the devise was operational. As the crew was release from the main gravity lift, they all made in unison a movement with there fingers touching over their hearts and making a diagonal line form the left breast to center mass and then to the belly button.
A small purple spiral icon could be seen forming on their uniform's wrists and then they flapped there wings and moved to there own will within the hangers stagnant air. As the crew flew through the air and reached the crew arrivals airlock which was guarded by the darker uniformed members of the ship, Yuli moved slightly forwards then saluted and spoke lightly.

"Id: TN#0034AYR Captain Yuli Ronqi, here to take possession of the Advance"
"Your five minutes late Captain, I'm Lieutenant Tali Ralf'lia, head of the advances Security Team. Please make your way to the bridge quickly."
"Yesss..." spoke Yuli as she watched the young woman with crimson wings move within the ship.
She was Tali Ralf'lia, a recent mutation known as a Arkor, tanned skin tone and bright red tattoos engraved all over the body. The distinctive features along side the skin was the crimson wings, eyes with golden pupils and a far darker rage then most of the Airdren species.

As the rest of the crew entered the airlock, the first thing they noticed was the directional lines everywhere which pointed the way to different areas, such as the reactor, medical bay, the mess. And an outcropping railing system meant for rapid movement when gravity was not in play.
when the Airlock doors closed behind them, they collectively sighed and then looked at the legend displayed on the wall for which line was the bridge, as they found it the jumped off the floors and headed towards the destination with haste.

The bridge was of a classical design with different sections and the captains command being dead center, consoles were made of plastics and fiberglass and the new ship smell annoyed them to no end, how long were they going to be kept within this metal coffin they wondered as they sat down into there respective stations. Quickly the sound of rapping tapping could be heard and a small rumble could be felt through out the ship as reports started being spoken of.
"Captain, Atomic Reaction Kaleidoscope one is online, number two is on stand by at full power."
"Captain, communications are online, command is giving us the go ahead to move the Advance to the catapult"
"Ma'am, Life support online, bulkhead are sealed. Weapons and shielding are currently offline."
"Right Helmsmen, move the "Advance" to the KLMAC."
"Yes ma'am"

Quickly the view within the bridge windows rapidly started to slowly move, in front of them the hanger doors started parting as alarms blared loudly. Lights revolved around flashing bright yellow beams in a 360 degree fashion. As the Advance moved lightly they could soon see themselves passing through the heavy five meter thick steel doors, as they entered the L.M.A.C. they were momentarily blinded by the intense light as the bridge windows automatically darkened to compensate. As the advance reached the center of the L.M.A.C. Slowly the vessel turned to the distant sky as a large ring rapidly descended and stopped around them, they could feel some sort of clamp lock there vessel into position as a holographic timer appeared.

At the same time across Agenisi, everyone watched the vessel either from screens connected to Kaguya. Others sat upon the tall branch's of the forest and watched Kaguya in the distance. It was quiet as if death had gripped the world. As the counter struck ten everyone gulped in unison. On the bridge and all though out the ship, the crew gripped there seats and held there eyes shut, they didn't want to think, didn't want to see and who could blame them. But as the engines of the Advance grew brighter. The counter hit zero and then slowly they started to ascend, slowly at first an then as almost instantly the vessel was gone as it screamed up through Kaguya.

JCF:0001-The Advance
Bridge (Seconds after acceleration)

What hit the crew first after accelerating for only a few seconds was that they felt no pressure upon there bodies from the acceleration, no G force. Nothing, they widened their eyes and saw the catapult and the internals of Kaguya as a blur around them. But as they reached the top of Kaguya the catapult released them and they felt the pressure now assault them full force as they hit air resistance. The ship rumbled and shook like it was going to rip apart at the seems and explode. the crew watched in awe as they shook, however a sudden scream made them all turn and look at one of their crew men.

Her name was Anya Queen, Caucasian skin tone, with her purple hair braided, she was the communication officer at the rank of Ensign.
However they all noticed something as she screamed, on her wrist there was no spiral purple icon.
At some point when she had entered the bridge she had deactivated the anti gravity field surrounding her and was now a victim to the full effects. Against her harmonic screams of pain, all the rumbling for the crew stopped as they watched her intensely cruelly engraving the scene into here minds.

The G forces smashed into her as if she was a ragdool thrown into a speeding vehicle as they heard the sound of cracking as her bones shattered like glass under the sudden strain, the sickening squishing sound as organs were being crushed and exploding. The tears of blood streamed down her cheeks out her ears as they ruptured. her body gave a final single violently shake, and then as if a god of death was laughing, her body ballooned and then exploded as blood, internal pulp and feathers splashed all across the bridge. Instantly someone vomited, who could blame them after seeing such a horrific death. But as Yuli forcefully turned herself away from what use to be Anya at looked forward vast the vast blood splatter, within a few moments she could see the color of the sky darkening until suddenly they felt weightless and before them was nothing but stars and the massiveness of Nora-Vas'tal

"Full Stop!" Screamed Yuli trying to gain control of the situation but against what they just experienced who could blame them for being unable to fully comprehend, quickly Yuli was pressing her consoles transferring all ship functions to herself. The sound of rapid bangs could be heard as all though the forward bow of the vessel as the port and starboard E-thrusters, lit up in bright but brief flashes trying to slow the vessel down to get it into stable position. Luckily Nora-Vastal was helping with that as they were caught in its orbit.
As the Vessel soon entered into full stop. Yuli sighed and then looked at her crew, they were visually shaken up, hell even she was as she looked at the blood spatter.

She quickly tapped on her internal coms and made a ship wide report.
"All able bodied personnel please report to the bridge immediately, this is not a drill."
As she ended her announcement her crew fearfully looked at there captain as they broke down.
"Get a hold of yourselves, we have a mission to compete, give me a status report, if you can't i'll do it my self."
As if her message went in one ear and out the other Yuli sighed and then started tapping her console as she read incoming reports.

The vessel had made it through the atmosphere within five minute's as the KLMAC Accelerated them at ten times the speed of sound, Yuli couldn't help but be impressed. Since they were going easy during the push at only 5% power output to the KLMAC, she didn't even want to imagine the strain of a full 100%. from behind the bridge doors opened and the sound of wet footsteps arrived to there ears. The bridge crew who were first to react screamed in pure horror. Others finally couldn't take it anymore and went silent as their minds completely broke. Yuki had a guess at what they saw and refused to turn around for fear of the same happening to her. Heavily she spoke.
"Name and rank."
"Ma'am Lieutenant Tali. I see you guys have quiet the mess as well."
"Sorry for not facing you Lieutenant but if I did I fear I might end up like them, How many did we lose?"
"No problem ma'am, we lost the majority of the maintenance teams and security is down by half.
On the plus side we lost none of the medical staff luckily, I've already told them to say in med bay and prepare for immediate arrivals."

"Thanks, have the remaining of security quickly clean themselves up and escort the injured, as for you lieutenant, clean up and change into a bridge uniform, you've been promoted."
"Ma'am, i'll be back in twenty."

As the sound of bloody footsteps quickly left, Yuli sighed in stress, was this the feeling Mistress Lorthous felt? maybe, but with so much of their crew now out of action, the testing phase of the "Advance" was now going to be longer then ever, well at least they didn't explode, so testing of the KLMAC was a success's. So quickly Yuli opened her eyes once again to reality and looked at her bridge, she tapped her console and slowly readjusted the ship turning it a full hundred and eighty degree's. she wanted to look at the pearl they called home, As Agenisi filled the non blood splattered parts of her window, she though she could feel tears rolling down her cheeks.
Silently in that bridge however she spat out her resentment angrily as she looked at the world covered in green, blue and red.

"Advancement always comes at the cost of some Sacrifice... God damn it! Damn it all... what sort of future is this?"

Auraxis, Vanquaria
Interstellar Empire of Vanquaria

The Auraxian space-station was a large, ominous structure floating above Vanquaria, home planet of a young empire that was slowly beginning to reach out into the galaxy as a baby might reach out to touch its mother. The officers were bored of their jobs standing watch over an extremely well-protected planet in an extremely well-protected system. Their red eyes just stared at their radar and data screens while their vampire-like teeth scraped against each other at the glorious though of lunch break. But nonetheless they accepted their fates and stood watch faithfully, waiting for anything unusual to pop up on the radar, however unlikely that might be. The commanding officer yawned and he longed to return back to the toxic planet that was his homeworld. His bright red eyes started to disappear when suddenly… BREEBREEBREEBREEBREE! The alarm had been sent off by one of the new batch of recruits assigned here a few days ago. The ever-vigilant CO jolted awake and hurried to the obviously disturbed recruit’s side. ‘’What is it?’’, he asked. ‘’Sir, it appears to be a medium-large pod heading directly, if my datapad is correct, for the capital city!’’ the recruit cried. ‘’Ok, send out a 3 waves of carrier drones and the rest of you, he turned towards the other wide-eyed officers, signal the fleet!’’ ‘’AYE SIR!’’ the team replied, everyone including the CO overjoyed at something different happening.
Carrier drones, a machine designed to fire tractor beams to safely pull damaged starships, were sent in the hundreds towards the large object which was soaring at ridiculous speeds. About 5 km away from the fast approaching pod they all simultaneously fired out their tractor beams. The pod quickly decreased in speed and came to a sudden halt a few metres away from the drones. Moving as one the horde of drones slowly carried the pod into an approaching warship, a massive spaceship armed with hundreds plasma cannons, quantum phase shielding and thousands of incendiary missiles designed to travel through space at fast speeds. The pod was slowly dropped onto the hangar where an Admiral and a team of scientists and engineers waited. The team began to study and examine this foreign object. The Admiral conversed with the Head Scientist, ‘’Alien species you’ve heard of?’’ The Head Scientist’s crimson eyes seemed to penetrate the pod like an X-ray and after a few seconds he turned to the Admiral and said, ‘’No, this machine is extremely advanced, possibly more advanced than any alien species we’ve ever conquered. And quite possibly more who ever built this has technology superior to our slipspace travel and quantum phase power cells. The Admiral shook his head in disbeilief, ‘’Surely not quantum phase, the fusion of energy particles, electricity and atomic particles MUST be a one of a kind discovery!’’ The Head Scientist thought deeply for a moment then replied, ‘’Well maybe not quantum phase technology but whoever built this is a race that is older and more intelligent than us, we’ll have to notify one of the High Lords, maybe even the Autarch himself!’’
This event received much attention. It was a machine that had somehow slipped past the system’s defences using an extremely advanced form of travel that is much faster than slipspace transportation. It wasn’t long before this incident attracted a High Lord. High Lord Malcador the Vigilant was a fashionable, curious person who wore bright alien clothes adorned with foreign accessories, he tasked with discovering new and strange alien artefacts, Upon hearing of the pod incident he quickly travelled from one of his expeditions into an ancient alien tomb and examined the pod. ‘’The design is simply put, ingenious! But before we bring this pod to the Autarch himself we must examine this machine to ensure it’s not a trap.’’ The best scientists studied the pod for nearly a week before presenting their findings in a specially encrypted datapad to High Lord Malcador. After reading the results he said, ‘’Now is the time to show the Autarch this wonderful piece of technology.’’ The pod was specially encased in tractor beam field in the middle of the High Lord’s personal hovercraft which was in the middle of a large, heavily armed escort of small-sized destroyer ships. They entered the atmosphere of Vanquaria which used to be extremely deadly to their ancestors but now they had adapted so much they could literally breathe in large fumes and feel healthy. They arrived in the capital of Auraxis.
The city was dark and ominous looking; a reminder of the people’s tragic history and that life is never fair. The city was littered with tall skyscrapers and weaving, complex roads where hovercars smoothly zoomed and weaved their way around the city. Numerous warships stood guard in the sky and security drones scanned every single inch of the extraordinarily clean streets for crime which was totally non-existent in the capital city of the authoritative Vanquarian Empire, criminals in fear of the harsh punishments enacted for even the pettiest of crimes. The High Lord’s shipe landed on a landing pad that led to the Grand Palace itself. The size of the palace was so huge they were escorted in small hoverships by the Emperor’s Guardians, the elite of the elite soldiers in the Empire numbering a total 10,000 and tasked with the personal protection of the Autarch and the palace. The palace unlike the city outside was bright gold and very white. It included famous events during the Vanquarian people’s time and as the city was like a reminder of the people’s tragedy the palace was a reminder of the people’s achievements. Soon they departed the overcraft and headed for the throne room where the Autarch resided. At the doors of the throne room High Lord Macharius the Great stood waiting. He was an extremely stern man who was no stranger to the dangers of war. A deep scar left his left eye unable to see and he required an exoskeleton to assist his weary, battle-worn body to move. Dressed in a large black suit adorned with numerous war decorations and animal fur draping like a short cape he snarled giving him the look of an angry dog due to his canine-like teeth, ‘’Took you long enough, you’ve kept the Emperor waiting.’’ ‘’Cheer up old boy you definitely need a break why not get a drink with me later eh,’’ grinned Malcador and with that he pushed open the golden doors.
The Autarch of the Interstellar Vanquarian Empire was wore the finest armour in the Empire. It was a combination of the best Vanquarian and alien craftsmanship available and was fused with highly advanced technology. Shining white with gold rimmed edges it fitted the tall, muscly figure that wore a jade encrusted crown. He wore a pitch black cape with a bright blue symbol of the Vanquarian flag. But the throne he was seated one was in full contrast to the majestic beauty of the Emperor’s suit. Dark purple with obsidian rocks embedded along the edges of the armrest the throne was also an advanced device allowing the user access all Vanquarian made devices and possessed powerful hackig capabilities. The Autarch himself was a very handsome figure. His face was elf-like with the exception of the blood-coloured eyes and canine teeth and from just one glance you could tell he was from a regal bloodline. ‘’Ah, Malcador, I hear you have brought with you an advanced piece of technology from an unknown alien race?’’ ‘’Yes my Sire, this is technology at its finest. The people that built this device are clearly more advanced than us. Quite possibly older too.’’
High Lord Macharius rolled his eyes. ‘’Enough complimenting aliens or pretty soon you’ll worship them as gods. Just tell us what this pod can do.’’ ‘’Well, this pod contains some pretty useful information on many things that can help our empire such as energy-powered gun, a laser gun!’’
‘’We have plasma rifles Malcador we don’t need laser guns’’. Macharius replied. ‘’But there is something even better! You know how your left eye is all messed up and not able to see? Well, this pod contains information on medical Augmentation! You can get a cyborg eye which wil make you look less weird!’’ laughed Malcador. Macharius snarled his dog-like snarl again and asked, ‘’Anything else?’’ ‘’The other stuff we do not actually need such their inferior shielding as quantum shielding provide a 20% protection percentage against all types of hostile projectiles. But the biggest benefit of this pod is its sharing of the knowledge of faster-than-light travel. This clearly outmatches the slow process of slipspace travel which has a very uneffective Warp travel speed. So yeah, that is all.’’
The Emperor suddenly leaned forward his eyes gazing intently at the pod. ‘’Uh, my lord,’’ asked Malcador uneasily. ‘’You missed something in the pod. You did not examine everything in it.’’ Malcador the Vigilant gave the Empror a comfused look. ‘’I’ll show you what you missed.’’ After saying those words the purple throne suddenly began glowing more brightly, as it did when it was being activated for usage. A few seconds after the activation of the purple throne a hologram quickly appeared seemingly out of the pod.
A long, shocked silence reigned around the throne room. Then the Emperor waved his hand and said, ‘’High Lords Malcador and Macharius you are dismissed. Malcador, dismantle the pod for further study then resume your normal activities.’’ Both High Lords simultaneously bowed low and retreated from the throne room. The Guardians in the throne room stayed deathly silent has they knew that the Autarch was entering a state of deep thinking and meditation. One lingering annoying word stayed inside his head after the transmission of the hologram’s message.

Invictus B
Tartu

"Temperatures will not rise tomorrow as winds from the North and the low pressure system dominate our weather, no snowfall is forecasted but that makes it a lot mor-- Wait, its a earthquake, g-!" the connection broke, the 4.2 million people watching on Invictus B had no idea what was going on, as they didnt feel any earthquakes.

a unidentified probe entered the thick atmosphere of Invictus B, it flew right through the sound barrier and right through peoples ears, it smashed right through a bridge before smashing into a pavement, noone was injured. It wasn't long before you could hear the sound of the Military Police, they had no idea what it was and were scared for their lives, they steadily surrounded the probe and corded the area off, curious civilians looked over the top of the policemen's heads to find a intact probe. A Invictus B scientist, not ordered and breaking commands had curiously walked over and pushed a button, a hologram appeared.

He was dazzled before he was thrown back by Invictus B lead scientist Chris, "What the bloody fuck do you think you are doing?" he shouted, "What if there was a bomb in this?!"

Two hours later
Invictus B Telephone Office

"When can I contact Invictus A," Chris asked the robot.
"Where on Invictus A, sir?"
"The Science department." he asked again
"Im afraid Invictus A's position in orbit will not favour our connection, you can send a message and it will get there in four days, two hours and fifty two seconds."
"Alright."
The beep signalled that it was recording

"Sir, we have found a probe that crash-landed in Tartu, it appears to be from the Aegen empire. Im not too sure what they are talking about but their is a bundle-load of attachments and information that we have not opened yet. I have sent a ship to Tallinna Linnd orbiting Invictus A, you can climb aboard it and come here, please also send the following attached information to the head of foreign activity, see what he could make of it, Out"
the message was sent.

JCF:0001-The Advance (Currently in Orbit)
Captain: Yuli Ronqi.

It had been over eighteen hours since the acceleration event. Within the Advance, of the one hundred and seven man testing crew sent aboard the testing frigate, only thirty eight were left aboard the vessel alive after making it through the vessels acceleration from Kaguya. In the silence that left them absorbed in the reactions to the G-forces and mind numbing casualties. A quiet calm had gripped the vessel as it silently orbited Agenisi.
In the bridge Yuli silently sat at her chair reflecting quietly on the hours prior while waiting for Tali to arrive and while looking at Agenisi through the cleaned viewport from the bridge, she couldn't help but sigh lightly while looking at her strange reflection staring back as her she heard the sound of the bridge door open.
Quickly Yuli turned in her chair only to see Tali's face full of bewilderment as she stare at her, in her hands was two porcelain mugs of steaming coffee which was release and smashed into a multitude of fragments on the bridge floor, although the temporary deeper coffee aroma was better then the current one that lingered within the bridge. However the event in front of her caused her to lightly jumble her words as she stared.

"Who..."

It was not the horrific death that gripped her mind, it was not Anyu's screams or her bodies visage that was imprinted into her memory at was now slowly being forgotten, it had been an hour since her death. Minutes since she had guided the vessel into a stable orbit around Agensi and was now alone to her thoughts. Or at least she wished to be but her senses were preoccupied by the smell of rotting flesh being eaten by acids, the smell of burning metal and the slight smoke that was rising from the communications console as the acid slowly made its way through.
It was her fault, that's what she told herself as she slowly got up to leave the bridge and fetch cleaning equipment. In truth, she just wanted to get away, away from the bridge, away from the smell, away from the cold hard reality that was gripping the ship.

However before she could get away, the bridge door opened and Lieutenant Tali floated in dressed in the white bandage uniform of the bridge crew. Yuli watched as Tali looked over the empty bridge, the vacant seats that were once filled with a hopeful crew to be. They were now resting in straitjackets under heavy sedatives in the medical bay hopefully having sweet dreams. In the hour since Tali had organized the remaining thirty five crew members of the Advance and set to work with the messy job of cleaning corpses and placing them into clear bags through suction with special cleaners. Ensign Anyu Queen from the bridge crew was now the last person that needed to be taken care of.
As Tali approached the beginning edges of what was once Anyu, a yell ran through the bridge breaking the ominous silence.

"Please wait!... i'll do it lieutenant... its the least I can do for her..."
As Tali looked at the captain of the vessel, what she saw at the moment was a ghost, a shell of the woman known as Yuli Ronqi a least exteriorly.
Yuli's black eyes were swollen with light red lines at the corner of her eyes, her cheeks were still wet with tears and her face looked like one who had already given up on life. With Anyus blood splatter still coated large portions of her once white bandage like uniform it honestly looked like she was about to break any second, But as Yuli looked at her directly, Tali could see a silent life still flaring strongly within that gaze.
Silently she shrugged and then quickly hooked the cleaning equipment and the container together and passe the equipment to the captain as she lightly rose from her chair.

As her hand caught it, she could tell they were shaking, but as captain of this vessel, it was her duty at least to remove the remains of her fallen subordinates. Lightly she pushed off the chair and turned the vacuum on putting her hand onto the head of the equipment and feeling the light suction. It was messy work as she watched the blood, bile and fleshy chunk's float off of the metal flooring and walls enter the vacuum and enter the plastic bag. She silently watched as the bag was slowly filled by the yellow of fats, the pink of muscle tissue, the bright crimson of oxygenated blood and the darker crimson going closer to black of deoxidized blood. In its own right in a morbid sense of fashion, it was rather pretty and slowly the remains were packed into that soon fully filled bag. But as Yuli cleaned, all she could think about was poor Anyu.

Her life and her violent death, her frightened and pained screams when compared to the smiles hours earlier. The tears of blood that rolled down her face as she looked desperately for help, that comical pop as she was released as well as the slick feel of bodily fluids that splashed all around. The smell... oh god that horrid stench, somehow Yuli knew that it was too never truly come out as she lightly glanced at her uniform and then at the two bright crimson piles of soaked bandage that laid silently on the floor and across the chair messily, its owner gone forever.
As the cleaner was switched off Tali took over and sealed off the toxic biomaterial adding a label that showed it was what remained of Ensign Anyu.

As Yuli slowly kicked off of the bridge and headed back to her chair, Tali lightly spoke with a small smile, but her eyes were filled with admiration for her captain's diligence.
"Right, I will now report on the state of affairs aboard the vessel. Of our one hundred and seven crew, only thirty three are still healthy to work and are waiting in the Mess Hall for further orders, save for the medial staff luckily attending to the only five broken crew members. I've taken liberty to have the security team clean up after the... remains and are having them stored in the cargo hold for now."

"I see, have them switch uniforms after and help out with the maintenance teams temporality. What's the Advances damages?"
"Well besides the sudden shortage of crew, only light chemical burns remain on the interior, they will not affect ship functionality, however the communications station of the bridge is likely to be fried."

Tali lightly pointed to the station the Ensign once sat at, on the outside, her chair had been partly melted and her console had been eaten away at a good pace, the main hardware near it was still slightly smoking and as they opened it up later they would find that most of it had been eaten and turned to molten goop. However luckily the captain's command still held the same programs within it wouldn't affect their overall situation.

"I see, Lieutenant, please take control of the ship for next few hours and continue to co-ordinate any efforts on repairs, then make sure you get a proper meal and get a in few hours of shut eye...
We will be beginning test's tomorrow. As for me, i'll be taking a shower in my quarters and log a report before getting some sleep... see you at, 08:00 Lieutenant."

"Ma'am"

And with that Yuli slowly with a heavy sigh pushed off her chair and redirected herself using its arms and headed out of the bridge. As the doors opened automatically this would be a temporary function as the vessel was still in the testing phase. She heard the bridge door close quickly as she slowly floated into the long Hallway, quickly she could hear Tali's voice over the intercoms issuing orders, but Yuli currently didn't care about that as her hand touched a waiting railway just outside the bridge. as she closed her hand around it, a small holoscreen appeared showing locations, she quickly entered in for her quarters and then was quickly pulled through the weightlessness along the walls to her room. the door opened automatically as the handle came to a stop opposite her room which made her kick off the wall and enter through the doorway. want she didn't expect was that her room had a limited gravity to it and quickly fell to the ground with a slight grown escaping her lips.

Her quarter were fairly basic, a metal desk and chair nearby the doorway, her bed was behind it after four feet of space, a small locker was built overhead her bed sideways and near that was a small bathroom built into the wall with a small mirror, a shower and a toilet crossed with a small upper level sink attached to the lid.

As Yuki lightly walked on the floor to her bathroom, she quickly made various patterns on her uniform which cause it to mainly unravel and then form into a thin ring on her right arm and leg. As she stepped into the shower naked, sensors acknowledged her usage of the shower and instantly two walls of glass separated her from the rest of her bathroom. It was a rather tight fit, but as she felt the warm water hit her skin, she could feel the blood washing off her body, but as the water also hit her face, her features were of a simple distraught woman as she cried her tears out and moaned in grief.

She remained in the shower a long time crying until she felt sick, and then finally got out in a daze and crept under her beds covers, felt the softness of the covers against her damp skin and feathers as the slowly soaked the fabric and drifted into a dreamless sleep.
In one was this was a precious gift and in another a curse after all of the days chaos.

When she woke up, it was warm on her skin but there was a strange void like feel within, she laid there within that darkness unsure knowing that something was amiss, but she couldn't tell what, but her throat aced.
As she pulled off the covers, her head hurt as if she had flown right smack dab into a tree. Slowly as she opened up her bed drapes as a dim light started to fade on. As her eyes adjusted with the limited light she wandered carefully in the unfamiliar room to her bathroom. She reach the sink and turned on the cold metal taps and felt the cool water run through her fingers, greedily she made a cup with her hands and filled it to the brim with water and brought it to her lips.
She could feel its cold flow down her throat, but her throat was continued to burn and her head's wouldn't stop pounding. She readily filled her hands again and again drinking the cold water as if her life depended on it. It wasn't enough, it simply wasn't enough to fill this strange void she could feel inside her, no matter how much she drank it wouldn't stop this strange burning... Angrily she tightened her grip on edge of the sink.

The sound of metal being twisted ripped through the room, instantly the lights flared to full, the girl screamed against the sudden light and desperately covered her eyes however she caught sight of her appearance and froze. Her strength momentarily left her as her arms fell to her sides lifeless before the girl took a step towards the mirror, slowly her fingers reached to her face as she lightly touched its surface.
The nerves sent the signals of her skin's feeling to her brain. The cool almost cold touch of her skin was recognized but her skin was paler now then it had been, in fact it wasn't wrong to say she looked like a sickly beauty but her eyes were no longer of a solid voidless black, her sclera had turned white while showing enchanting golden pupils, but at the same time as she blinked as the thirst assaulted her, her eyes would switch to black sclera once again with bright crimson pupils.
But what scared her the most was her hair and wings, her once bright purple hair was a sleek black which had grown down to her neck to now lower then her waist. and her wings, those pure white wings were now jet black...

The girl gulped, half from fear, half from amazement as she looked at the massive change in her appearance, however as she spoke, she was at least happy to find that her voice hadn't changed.
"What's happened to me..."

The Girl couldn't help but now be fully awake now that the light shown brightly, and as she looked at her body she couldn't run from reality and go back to bed thinking this was all just a bad dream. So she did the only thing she could and lightly tapped the rings around her arm and the thigh of her leg and felt the bright white uniform ravel around her body.
Or at least it should have been a bright white uniform, but instead it was a simple black negligee that took over her body, the curves of her body through the see through semi-transparent material made the girl instantly scream within her room as her face blushed bright red. Quickly the girls hand moved in a blur as she placed the negligee back into the ring form and then hit the ground as her knees gave out.

"What sort of joke is this!" the girl quietly whimpered to herself feeling both ashamed and yet strangely aroused. but as she calmed down and gained the strength to stand once more, the girl slowly moved to her bedside like a corpse as if all the life was drained out of her. Quickly her hands gripped the handle of the locker above her bed and lightly pulled it open. Within was another white uniform, but unlike the other, it was made from actual physical fabric and not of the strange bandage's like the first one.

Slowly the girl slipped the uniform on having trouble with the slits made for her wings, adjusted a belt to hold her pants up and tied up her long black hair into a simple mid hanging ponytail and rested it over her right side, as she lightly flapped her wings and there pretty new black feathers, she couldn't help but feel strangely attractive. But as she finished placing her shoes on she quickly closed the locker and headed out of her quarters.
The Handle was waiting as the doors opened and the girl lightly moved within the anti-gravity and gripped it. She expected the holoscreen to activate, but instead a small error beep was her only response. Quickly she let the handle go and then grasped it again, however the same error beep sounded off again and the handle did not activate... she was growing annoyed, but before she flew off the handle she kicked off the wall opting to go to her bridge manually. It took long then expected as she navigated the halls often missing them completely and having to turn around, but as she finally floated towards the bridge door it was the only thing that opened for her.

Quickly she settled into her seat, being the most important on the ship as her Captain, but as she activated her consoles manually she was almost expecting to hear that same error beeping. Luckily it didn't and she could feel the vessel come back online, Tali must have placed everything in stand-by she thought. But it was in the loneliness of the bridge that she once more lost herself while watching Angenisi and looking at her own reflection.
It had been eighteen hours since they arrived into space, all the events that happened replayed in her vision. Anyus death and the cleaning up of her corpse, when she saw Agenisi for the first time, she remembered the tears and lightly smiled as her fingers felt her cheek. but as she focused again on her reflection staring back at her, she lightly sighed and then heard the bridge door open.
She turned and looked at Tali, saw the mugs of steaming coffee and smiled, but Tali's face looked strange as if she was seeing someone for the first time who introduced themselves like a best friend. The mugs dropped and smashed on the floor spilling there contents everywhere, and while She enjoyed the temporary overlap of smells, she couldn't help notice the voice speaking in confusion.

"Who... are... you..."

Yuli looked at Tali and then sighed as she heard Tali ask the question with a little more hostility this time and then spoke to silence her.

"Lieutenant, its me your Captain Yuli Ronqi."
"Bullshit, I've never seen you before."
Slowly Yuli placed her hand on her head and sighed... it was going to be a long day... but slowly she spoke confirming facts at couldn't be known to anyone but themselves.

"My name is Yuli Ronqi Captain of ID# JCF-0001 The Advance, I was five minutes late to boarding.
The Acceleration from Kaguya's Linear Magnetic Acceleration Catapult, killed sixty nine crewmembers leaving only thirty eight. The one casualty in here was Ensign Anyu Queen and when you walked into the bridge, you broke the sanity of the other five crewmembers."

Tali was dumbfounded, who was this black haired woman. She had the audacity to sit in the captains chair and spout out words as if she own the place... but as she thought in silence, what she said couldn't have been known by anyone other then her and the captain. If the improbable was impossible then the possible had to be true. Then this strange woman really was the captain, but if so, what had happened to her to change so drastically.

"Alright Captain... then I guess good morning would be appropriate."
"Lieutenant, while I appreciate the intent, we have a lot of work ahead so save the pleasantry's and man the Advance's helm, I'll be transferring the ship integrity and shields control over to you. I want a full report on the kaleidoscope on the double." spoke Yuli, as she turned around and sat back in her chair she watched the lieutenant flow naturally within the emptiness to the head of the bridge and sat down into her newly appointed station. At the same time her consoles glowed with a new light as the two women tapped there consoles and transferred data back and for the between each other.

"Activate "Impulse" shielding and all weapon systems on the port and starboard bow, Lock in Starboard Archer missile pods one through five on course plot fifteen, degree of angle twenty."

"Ma'am, A.R.K. reactor one in at full power, supplying all available power to weapons and shields.
"Impulse" shielding is converging over the Advance. Archer missile pods are set on course fifteen, degree twenty. Course will take the missiles around the planet and converge on our own position ma'am."

"I know lieutenant. Please plot "Archer Missiles Pods" numbers one through three port side course twelve angle ninety, four through ten on randomized angles course zero one, have them fly back at us after reaching ten miles out."

"Ma'am? I can understand the starboard side testing the physical shields but the port is for point defense?"
"You learn fast Lieutenant. Correct, now tell me what is the maximum payload of the JCF."
"Captain. Payload of a Jericho class Frigate is, Two main cannons at dead forward featuring two five meter wide barrel's, The upper cannon is designed for firing high heat directional energy at light speed. Lower cannon is a MAC gun able to fire a total of ten, five hundred ton titanium slugs at near light speed.
Adding to the main weapons are twenty eight split evenly between starboard and port at fourteen are the "AMP" or Archer Missile Pods with a payload of twenty four missiles per pod for a total of six hundred and seventy two, thirty pound high explosive missiles.
further adding to that is eight defensive low emmtition laser's at three on port and starboard with two at our stern and twelve automatic 50.cal point defense machine guns with four on all sides.
Final armament is one low sig Shiva Nuclear missile, able to be fired from the main cannon."

"Good answer lieutenant. Fire."
"Ma'am. firing."

The Advance was silent as it had orbited Agenisi in lower orbit, from the ground below it was a but a lone ship visible as if here to scout the planet. However up close the externals of the frigate was a hive of silent movement seen only on the frigates bulky outcroppings. Silently various bulky hexagon shaped missile pods affixed to axils moved the pods slowly as other bars and levers adjusted more fine tuned angles. While such devises were currently slow, they would one day be almost instant. On the left side, over half of the Archers had been moved into random angles while the right side had a third of there payout pointed in the same direction.
Moments after the AMP were in position a silvery semitransparent wave slowly started to appear from the vessel like oil on water as it spread out thinly. It took minuets as the silver wave eventually converged over the bottom of the vessel and then disappeared entirely. But every once and a while one swore they could see a raging sea encase the vessel

And then as if on some silent cue, the front of the bulky pods exploded as dozens of missiles fired off. Hydrogen Gas expelling from there small engines making bright white smoke waiting to be eventually defused into the void as trails of vapor made tracks in space. From the starboard, they had roughly an hour until the missiles circled the satellite they called home and would smash into their vessel.
However the port side as it blossomed had missiles firing every which way conceivable, as Yuli and Tali watched them from the bridge, they could already see the pd weapons turning to face the threat, and in the view port window a small counter rapidly counted down.

The missiles turn was what one could call beautiful as small directional pads angled the main thrust, at the same time small thruster's on the missiles shaft fired off bursts, turning the missiles a full 180 degrees as if on a dime and sped the missiles back towards there home. Instantly the moment the missiles had turned the four port pd laser system opened fire, there bright lances of red crossing the span of ten miles in a instant. As four flowers bloomed as micro bursts rapidly impacted the entirety of the missiles. For a fraction of a nanosecond the missiles outer builds bubbled and then melted away as the metal burst into molten slag, the connections turned to dust and then the fuel an warhead exploded forming bright pink clouds as the fusion of elements showed there death.

However the lances fired continually from the PD systems encasing missile after missiles within fractions of a second, it was only after a hundred and twenty missiles, half that had been fired did the reaction of the lances finally slow as there barrels glowed a faint orange. However with that frame of time, the machine guns whirled silently waiting there chance, and then bright fire erupted from there ends as invisible bullets raced through the cosmos. Quickly dozens of missiles were chew up through by the unseen bullets that passed through them effortlessly but the current range of the machine guns had limits as several missile's ripped through the bright pink clouds and impacted against the shields.

Quickly the silvery film that had covered the vessel flared as varied explosions ripped across it's surface. In its own right it was beautiful and equally terrifying as the heat of the explosions rippled through the shield and started heating up portions of the external hull in patch's of bright light ranging from orange to bright white as the metal bubbled and popped. Against the absolute zero of the vacuum as its opponent however, the heat and lights soon faded but not after showing a various states of warping against the armor plates of the frigate. all in all the first test had been a rather defined success with a target rate of eighty percent. However on the bridge as they waited for the second wave the tension was still all too high.
"Status lieutenant."
"Ma'am, Testing of the specialized physical counter, "Impulse" shielding was a success, with a current one hundred percent stoppage rate. current power for shielding has dropped however to forty three percent with a regeneration of one point five percent every minute. The weakness of the shield however is that the heat of an explosion will still pass through as you witnessed."

"Good, record and deactivate weapon systems focus all power to the recharge of the shield's, Remaining time until the second volley?"
"Captain, second volley in fifty two minutes."
"Good then place the second reactor off of stand by and charge the main weapons, rotate the Advance, angle for course thirty two, tell me when main weapons are charged."
"Ma'am, placing kaleidoscope two into full status, main arsenal charging, main cannons will be set for launch in t-minus three hundred."

Five minutes, what a terrifyingly long time to charge anyone would agree, but the main arsenal had such a high consumption rate that design had allocated a reactor for there sole use. Such a thing was in its own right simply terrifying if one could imagine what that power could be used for instead. However they both watched as the Advance slowly turned towards away from Nora-Vas'tal and aimed at a asteroid belt in the distance.

With all this tension surrounding them Yuli couldn't help noticing the pain still throbbing at her throat, the pounding that had started to resumed its march against her skull. Slowly her left hand reached to hold her head and she instantly regretted it however as electricity and pain raced down her body as she silently gasped. Her throat burned but something smelled appeasing she could tell what as her eyes lightly darted around the bridge... Where was it... where was that smell coming from, where was it hiding. where... where...... WHERE!?

And then her eyes rested on Tali, was that where the smell was coming from, was it from that girl... what was her name, Yuli suddenly couldn't remember, but she was overcome with a single need to embrace that girl... and...
"Feed"

No... that couldn't be right, why was she feeling this temptation... this exotic want... however if anyone saw Yuli Ronqi, what they would see was a demon.
The sweat that was soaking her clothing while making her skin alluringly enchanting. The strange aura that was full of mystery and captivation, Eye's that could pierce through a soul and freeze any mortal with lust... she was smiling a confident smile. An alluring smile... A crazed smile as her crimson pupils flashed a piercing gaze.
Slowly she could feel her body move against her will but that no longer mattered as all conscious thought left her. The headache made her fuzzy, the pain of her parched throat demanded to be filled and silently without the slightest sound she crept on that girls back ready to attack. Until something flashed in front of her.

The girl had said something that couldn't be perceived, but as thunder echoed throughout the vessel the lights dimmed for a moment as power consumption cause a small surge. In front of her a massive lance of energy ripped through the void and vaporized rock far in the distance back into elemental dust with extremely high heat. At the same time a massive and bright rock of molten metal with a solid core fired out at near light speed and after a few minutes of travel impacted through a large section of asteroid's, melting, exploding and passing through them completely like a firework exploding on its straight as an arrow course.

The girl turned, a questioning look on her face as she stared at the woman before her.
"Captain, I said testing of the main arsenal is a resounding success... Um... Hello..."

Yuli finally came back to reality as she watched the explosions. what was she doing, she couldn't remember suddenly but it felt like she had been about to step across something that should never have been passed, Silently she looked at her lieutenant and then quickly turned on her heels and went towards the door.

"Lieutenant, please man the bridge, I'm not feeling... well... please send a data packet to my quarters when the second volley has impacted."

Tali with question marks on her head could only watch as her captain walked out the door without even waiting on a reply. and sighed lightly before moving into the captains chair and setting back to work. Forty minutes passed by rather quickly as she positioned the vessel to have the missiles hit on the starboard side where the armor was thickest from where they had originally fired from. As the counter was falling to the minute mark Tali while resting in the chair could see the incoming vapor trails of the missiles, the shine of there metals as light reflected lightly off them as they closing in.
She looked at the ships status, shields were fully charged, power levels were nominal. Now all that was left was impact and the eventual testing of the FTL drive.

That impact however would forever change the design of the vessels, Jericho frigates and their brethren that Enuma-elish designed and have given.
The missiles swarmed on the Frigate like aggressive bees to an attack on the hive as their warhead's met head on with the impulse shielding.
Instantly forty missile all at once crumpled like paper squished together between two palms and ballooned against the side of the ship in bright flowers of heat and death. The shielding shimmered strongly as it tried to cope with the physical damages, but Tali watched as every missile caused a percent or two to be lost, and with another eighty missile's incoming, the shields wouldn't last even if she suddenly supplemented it with both A.R.K.'s.
Fearing the worst, she quickly sealed every available bulkhead and sent the vessel into emergency as alarms blarred suddenly throughout the vessel making everyone stop dead in there tracks. as the second wave hit, thirty missiles crumpled and ballooned, but there explosions were causing the affected armor plate to heat and slightly steam when the worst happened. The shield collapsed like a broken tower and faded.

Seven missile suddenly finding no resistance to push through instantly smashed through the gaps and impacted the heated metal dead center of the forward outcropping, there warhead digging ever so slightly into the plate as they bloomed, but it was enough.
Enough to cause cracks and molten metal to start bleeding away in small globlets... Tali froze they hadn't felt any impact yet was it because there was a vacuum layer between the armor plates and the direct hull... maybe the damage wasn't as bad as she saw... Her hopes were dashed.

The remaining forty missiles sailed into the weakling side, slamming into the softer metal and bloomed, each missile digging further in through the foot of layered battle plate, every impact firing a splash of further metal into the vacuum in strings and large goblets now. it was after the tenth missile impacted at her fear were confirmed as a large meter often hole presented itself. Instantly several more missiles impacted against the sides sending more metal into space, but then three missiles struck that small sweet spot. She watched in absolute horror as the explosive wave bloomed out of that hole she could see the heat ballooning through the vacuum layer as attaching supports were vaporized, instantly parts of the armor plate were release from the ship floating like the detached scales of a fish.
However all thought stopped as she was thrown to the floor as the missile breached the hull. The shaking during was horrifying as she was lightly tossed into a wall, something snapped in a sickening way as she suddenly screamed. the lights flickered and died and sent the entire ship into darkness. And then finally it was quiet.

Slowly in that darkness, Tali crawled, she wanted to stand but a pain far beyond anything she had ever felt prevented her from doing so. the taste of iron flooded her mouth lightly as she bit through a large portion of her cheek when she was thrown. As her hand reached the chair she pulled a console down and tapped it, instantly the dim light faded in. It hurt her eyes but she couldn't care at the moment as she looked at the status of the ship. large portion of the once blue status flared red, large portions of the insides had been breached, the middle deck weathered the worst of the damage however as the medical bay was struck, there had been at least ten people in there all instantly vaporized in the fire's of death.

Further large portions of hall way had been exposed there bulkhead unable to stand the pressure as isolated oxygen ignited adding oil to the fire. However that was the only damage from a passage way perspective but then her eyes focused on the reactors, they were bleeding radiation as there casing's cracked and with the supply of power falling there was limited time to act. Quickly she moved pushing off the floor while screaming and floated for the helms. She didn't bother trying to sit in the chair, she simply took control and pointed the vessel back at Agenisi and roared all power to the engines and life support that she could.
It was as the Bridge door opened after a large creaking that she turned her head in that darkness, the slight light given off by the captains console illuminated a figure.
Silently a voice spoke like a ghost as the figure crept closer, each step making less and less noise
"Lieutenant what happened?."
Instantly Tali relaxed, it was her captain... thank god she didn't seem to be hurt which was a small miracle but Tali lost in that moment didn't know the danger she now faced. no... she couldn't know since nothing like it had happened before as she watched thinking that she was going to take the helm of the Advance.
Tali hurriedly spoke of the dangers they currently faced, but Yuli never responded. she only moved in silence staring at Tali with those golden eyes, slowly stalking the prey in front of her, when she was within reaching distance and her hands approached and then suddenly embraced the Lieutenant. Tali struggled quickly pointing out that this was no time to be joking around as her eyes darted on Agenisi closing figure behind them in the windows. However Yuli only tightened her embrace and then spoke, her eyes flashed in crimson and black as her mouth got closer and closer on Tali's arm.

"Lieutenant... finally...FiNallY... YOUR ALL MINE..."

A sickening crunch was heard in the bridge as Yuli opened her jaw wide and then closed in on the flesh of Yulis arm, her teeth penetrated the soft flesh with ease tearing through it. Blood flooded her mouth, splashed all over her figure as she gleefully gulped down the flesh and muscles. Her face was full of sublime ecstasy and as Tali saw it, she froze, half from pain half from utter fear as she suddenly couldn't fully comprehend what was happening, but as another tearing sensation ripped across her mind she screamed.
Feeling her fluids of life spurting out as it was dyed crimson she struggled in the vice like grip out of desperation. This was no longer her captain but an enemy, instantly with a deathly resolve she raised her free hand to her captain throat and was about to make a blade to sever the beasts head from its neck when her mind suddenly went numb, she had been drugged with a fast acting sedative when the captain first bit into her flesh, her heart as she panicked coursed the foreign substance throughout her body until it reached her brain.
Her arm dropped like a marionette with its strings cut, all her strength was gone and her final efforts useless. As the third bite ripped through the her arm's bone, she finally passed out with her screams dying into the silence, but at the same time the final glimpse she had was of her captain's blood splattered face gently smiling in her direction, before the room was once again filled with only the grotesque sound of something being chewed.

however a small voice filled with happiness spoke with the chew as it silenced for a moment before a maddening laughter ripped thought the bridge.
"Soon... soon we'll be together forever...He he hehahahahahahahaaha! AAAHAAAAAAHAAHAHAAAAAA"

The Advance fell to Agenisi with a burring passion as it braced the heat scorching it as friction pushed against it. Plumes of black smoke followed in its path as it burned, damaged parts ripping away with small explosions from prior damages added up. As it fell at a high speed the growing world only took minutes as the engines roared with a thunder that could be heard for miles. As Airdren who had only just witnessed the frigate's launch only a day before where now watching in awe as it returned and slammed into the distant country side beyond Siea and the Hyperion forest. As the metal monstrosity hit ground, it scrapped the land ripping away a large tracks of rock, hills worth of dirt, unfortunate forest as it plowed everything in its way to dust and then finally after minutes of ripping the land asunder hit sand and then partial ocean and halted as the front half of the vessel started to lightly sink for a dozen meters into the heavy sand and clay underneath the waters. Smoke rose from the craft as the engines finally died. The damage to the frigate could only be called immense as Lorthous and others from Kaguya arrived on scene.

With half the vessel being submerged, it was going to be impossible to currently extract it and return it to Kaguya, however most of the armor plates had been melted away and fused with the hull, a large ten meter hole had breached the hull and corridors within. The vessel was a blackened wreak. Lorthous wondered if anyone had survived as she flied over the vessel bracing the heat raising off it and got close to the bridge, the windows were blackened which made her raise her hand and form her fingers like a blade.
With a sour expression a small humming like incest's in flight could be heard as her hand floated a few centimetres from the bridges glass and she cut away the front most window along its edges, the glass as she neatly cut it fell away from the ship and fell a few meters before shattering on the steaming battle plate below the bridge.

However as Lorthus looked within she saw a scene that could only be called "Hell" from the massive amounts of crimson blood splattered all over the helmsmen console and ground near it, but within the massive pile of crimson liquid was two women soaked to the bone in blood with waist length black haired with pure black solid wings, holding hands in a deep but peaceful looking sleep.
Lorthous was dumbfounded as she stared at the scene and whispered lightly.

"What the hell happened in here... why are there two "Temptress's" aboard... and what happened to the crew?"

Invictus Orbiting Station
Orbiting Chernarus

Cygnus Region

Chris, Commissioner Islam Karimov, Environmental Commissioner and the Space Commissioner arrived at Invictus Orbiting Station, the station orbits the star Chernarus. The station was built in the years after the colonization of Invictus B and it's still not finished. It's ten miles long and five miles wide, it's purpose is to serve as a military command centre and the government headquarters when its finished. At the moment it boasts half-way through and is not set to be completed for another hundred years,

They arrived into the briefing room, meant for military issues.

"Alright, enough about Invictus A, what about this probe you found? Tell us about it Chris." Islam Karimov asked,
"It appeared to have been deliberately sent here, it crash landed in Tartu, the speed it was going at was unknown but what we do know is that it harbours many new technologies. My crew has only started to open the first few attachments and documents to find "Flying Cars" "Automated Defense Grids, also we have something more interesting. Something that can aid the construction of the Invictus Orbiting Station, automatic robot builders, these new technologies must be approved by you, ofcourse, sir."
"Can you make these flying cars and defense grids and automatic builders a reality for the Alliance?" Karimov looked interested
"My science team are already working on this, the flying cars, we made a prototype, and so far it is working. again, I need your approval on this." Chris leant back and stared at the space commissioner.
"You have my go-ahead." the space commissioner nodded and looked at the Environmental Commissioner
"Its a no-go for me, im sorry but we must focus on Invictus A."
The commissioner nodded, Chris got his go ahead.

Invictus A
Two Weeks Later

The first new flying car was introduced to the public, It wasn't to be bought however, until flying roads are created a flying car is not going to be unleashed. Members of the crowd stood and gazed.

Launching Station

for the first time ever, the Endeavour space exploration shuttle was finished. It was projected to take over a year to finish, now to the help of the robot-builders it was finished in a week, no man or woman needed to build it after the discovery of the probes hidden technologies.

aaannddd.... Liftoff! The Endeavour took off at 1329 at the height of noon, it was going to Minnars, the farthest planet in their solar system, over 5 billion miles away, it will arrive their with the new propulsion systems in two years, when Petyr Lund will step on the planet's rocky surface, if he had no suit his head will explode with the pressure of the planet.
It is thought that with the rate of exploration research Minnars could be the next planet in the system to be colonized, but it is impossible for a human-civilization to live there like on Invictus B, the temperature at its highest is -212 degrees centigrade.

Vanquaria Back-Story (Origins)

The story of the Vanquarian people begins on Earth in the year 2183. The large VANQUIX mining company unrivalled in terms of employees and euipment each year launches a fleet containing a considerable amount of officials and leaders into space to and from Earth. There they finish important paperwork and receives updates on their homeworld. Then they set off again this time never to return until next year for their planet, Altansar. A prosperous and incredibly wealthy company they had gathered enough money to purchase 80% of the planet's land exclusively for the workers and their families. It was almost an entire planet belonging to the company which had over 50 million employees including a small force of security. But with such abundant wealth and good fortune came jealous eyes.

The rest of the mining companies were forced to fight over and compete for small areas of mineral-rich land but one thing they all had in common was the shared jealous hatred of the VANQUIX company which operated almost exclusively on Tau Ceti, a planet literally filled with rich, precious minerals and ores underneath most of its surfaces. But even their wealth combined could not afford this planet so they were forced to search for smaller mining fields on government owned planets in which they had to pay rent. Though all this would soon change.

News of Altansar. had reached the ears of a few politicians and leaders in the highest echelons of the government of Earth and the I.S.E.A. and of how the relatively small population who inhabited the vast planet nicknamed the , ''Planet of the Gods''. Their praises of how lucky they were to own big plots of land generously provided by VANQUIX and the natural beauty of the planet ignited anger in their hearts that a mining company could buy such a planet and let their employees live like kings while Earth was a planet with an over-populated population in desperate need of new land. How dare they ignore their own people's needs and live like selfish kings! These powerful people decided the only option to kick VANQUIX out of Altansar was to do it illegally and with violence due to the fact that VANQUIX had legally bought the majority of the planet's land. They all agreed that a colony available to all the people of Earth had to be established on Altansar for it was only fair. The fact that the planet was almost exclusive to VANQUIX employees infuriated these powerful people and sparked jealousy too. But they also decided that their plot had to be kept in absolute secret for if anyone besides them ever found out there might be a huge uproar, possibly led by their rivals in power. Encrypted messages were sent to all the mining companies besides VANQUIX to gather in a secret space station floating above Mars. What was to come would decide the fates of all the current inhabitants of Altansar.

As the year 2183 was drawing to a close the small fleet of VANQUIX leaders and offcials began their annual trip to Earth. All but a few ships did not carry any sort of defence mechanism for they had gone on this trip dozens of times, each encountering no hostile threats and ultimately they had become too naive. The small fleet as they were halfay through their trips ran into a large governement fleet of battlecruisers. At first the VANQUIX leaders attempted communication as they were curious on what this fleet of ships designed for war were doing in a usually peaceful system. But without warning the I.S.E.A. battlecruisers opened fire catching the VANQUIX fleet in surprise and destroying everything until not even a tiny piece of VANQUIX cruiser scrap piece remained. Suffering no losses the I.S.E.A. fleet continued on their course towards Altansar.

The people of Altansar were also surprised to see a I.S.E.A battlecruiser fleet appearing through their atmosphere. They were even more shocked to hear the whole population were to gather on the VANQUIX ''capital'' of Altansar. The few security there were secretly killed, not by government troops, but by mining corporation mercenaries as the people manning the I.S.E.A. ships were all mercenaries that worked and got paid well by their mining employers. Dressed in government clothing they ordered the whole population onboard 30 large civilian cruisers. When asked for an explanation the mercenaries replied that they were evacuating everyone from an oncoming alien invasion. On hearing this the naive people of Altansar quickly got on board the cruisers. When all were onboard the mercenaries led the people to a enormous hall filled with hibernation chambers. The mercenaries told the people that the journey to Earth will be rough due to rough solar wind. The people obediently obeyed and each and everyone one of them were sentenced to their fates when they sealed their hibernation pod doors.

Each of the 30 cruisers with the Altansar citizens were not piloted by anyone. Instead they were all auto-programmed to travel to an unknown planet deep in a dark part of the galaxy where the few politicians and leaders of I.S.E.A. and large amount of mining company bosses agreed that return would be impossible as also they had cunningly decreased the cruiser's power source so that by the time the ships had reached the planet it would run out, stranding them there and possibly killing them.

The 30 cruisers travelled quietly through the dark abyss of space to their destination. The majority never made it. Crashing into asteroid belts, the fiery, burning surfaces of stars and some being preyed on by alien starships. By the time the cruisers neared their destination 9 remained, luckily escaping the horrors of space. But all the cruiser's battery suddenly ran out and the ships plummeted down to the planet. The sound of the
crash was extremely loud, being heard hundreds of kilometres away. Sadly, 5 of the ships had been destroyed by the heat of racing down through the atmosphere or simply the impact on landing itself. The remaining 4 ship's hibernation sequence shut off and slowly the survivors emerged although most never woke up. Though naive the survivors were not idiots and a few brave ones put on protective breathing suits after searching the cruiser. They slowly made contact with the other ships and again slowly everyone gathered in one ship. There was much fear among them and all did not know what was happening. ''Where the hell are we? How come this planet's toxic levels are so high?'' Did they trick us?'' These were questions consistently asked and everyone started arguing and most started crying. ''EVERYONE SHUT UP AND BE QUIET!'' roared a loud voice at the front of the crowd.

Some did not hear so the voice and a dozen others screamed it again to get their attention. The speaker was a tall man with visible, large biceps. His face was well-structured, quite nice to look at and perhaps even the tiniest bit regal looking. Wearing the clothes of a wealthy VANQUIX mining administrator he sternly gazed at everyone for a moment. ''Listen, I know you all have questions but currently I can only answer one that I am certain I know the answer too.'' The crowd stared intently at him, ears listening attentively and trying to ignore the cold, lump of fear in their stomachs. '' I know this may be a bit controversial but when I say this I want you people to not cause such a loud uproar... well, I have come to the conclusion that it was... the I.S.E.A., the government, and our fellow mining corporations that did this to us.'' Immediately their was some loud shouts of anger, the people quickly forgetting that the man had just called no uproar after his statement. ''Impossible!'' ''Why would anyone, least of all our own government do this to us!'' The man in front allowed the shouts to continue, looking as if he was in a deep state of thought before roaring, ''SILENCE!'' The shouts of outrage immediately ceased. ''Think about it, the ships that told us to get on board these cruisers were government officials weren't they? They said that it will be a tough journey back to Earth due to rough solar winds! Solar winds? The space out there has NEVER had experienced solar winds for decades! And what about our VANQUIX employers going on their annual trip to Earth? Well, I suspect that they might have been attacked on the way by the battlecruisers. Did you see the size and amount of weaponry on those cruisers? Last of all, I truly believe that our government and our fellow mining companies have had enough of our lavish lifestyle back on Altansar.'' He finished the last sentence slowly and with a sad voice.

The crowd stayed silent, all recognised the bits truth in the man's words especially the last sentence. After a long moment of sad silence a woman's voice near the front called, ''So what should we do now?'' The man looked at the woman then at the crowd and replied,''We survive.''
In the past few days the survivors were all busy hauling the small amounts of food and water from the ships. When all were gathered it was estimated to last about 8 months at best if rationed for the group of just over 16,000 survivors. They began separating the survivors into 4 groups of about 4,000. The man who had spoke to the crowd quickly became a leader-like figure among the people and introduced himself as Cornus Vulkan. After a few weeks scouting parties were organized and comprised of the bravest among the people and sent out. 10 groups of 50 were sent out. Only 3 returned and with less than half of the people they had originally begun with in the group. Recounts from the horrified survivors of large, carnivorous beasts caused much fear to the people. Vulkan quickly settled them down and organized a group of 5000 of the strongest, toughest and bravest to be the protectors of the people. He organized the removal of scrap metal from the ships and the remaking of them into melee weapons and armour. He soon set up a group of scavengers whose primary objective was to search for food and water and whose secondary objective was to search for food. The groups using stealth to avoid the beasts brought back samples of natural flora and liquids. A dozen testers took an assigned sample and consumed them. A few died but the ones that survived and lived after a few weeks the food and liquids they took were gathered up in bundles and crude buckets to provide to the people.
After a few years the people inside the ships had grown used to their new life. Working hard each day to enjoy the simple pleasures of community and food they did not complain, not even when Cornus ordered that dead human meat be used if available as a food source in order to ‘’toughen’’ us up. Pretty soon children were born and the elderly received the honour of teaching them the language called English that their people spoke and basic arithmetic but especially their history. Each time Cornus Vulkan visited the children he harshly reminded them, ‘’It was our own kind that sent us here, humans. They are no better than aliens who only care not for other races but for their own selfish desires. Hate them for the rest of your lives and teach your children that too.’’ Eventually Vulkan mated with the woman who spoke out during at his speech after the crash-landings and he was father to 2 sons and 1 girl. He disciplined them strictly, showing occasional signs of genuine love and taught them the skills of leadership. At his deathbed he was informed that for in return for his self-less leadership of the people they have decided to make the eldest of his children and descendants their leaders and grant high-ranking positions to the rest. It was a last sign of gratitude from a people that he had cared for and he passed away with a rare, content smile on his face.
2 decades later marched an army of Vanquarians they now call themselves from the crashed cruisers. They had recently named the planet Vanquaria in honour of the VANQUIX Company that their ancestors had said cared for them before their exile from the rest of humanity. Now fully mutated and evolved they looked almost inhuman except for the basic features. They had evolved bright red eyes, capable of seeing clearly in pitch dark and bright light. Their respiratory system was now able to breathe in extreme levels of toxins. Their teeth now all canine, adapted for the tearing of the rough skin of Vanquarian flora and human flesh. Their bodies now naturally healthy and very, very fit they also had changed mentally. Their nature was unusually aggressive by human standards and behaviour sometimes violent. Suited with metal armour they marched across the land killing beasts easily thanks to sheer numbers and their good training. When they returned they carried hundreds of beast carcasses. A week later builders set out and built a small town around the crashed cruisers. The town soon was heavily fortified and plans for expansion were soon made. The time for the Vanquarians to rule their planet had begun.

Another few hundred years later and every part of Vanquaria had been explored and most colonized. Now in the post-modern age they were just entering the space-age thanks to study of the I.S.E.A. cruisers. Soon they had built a few spaceships and were ready to explore space. But the current Emperor of that time, Emperor Dracon knew that the dangers of space were too great a threat for the Vanquarian people. Allowing only space stations and trips to the large moon he ordered the construction of a temporary conscripted workforce where the Imperial government would decide what a Vanquarian should study and what he will work on. The Emperor ordered that the nation primarily focus on the production of countless spaceships especially warships and the manufacturing of weapons and armour. He ordered the scientists to figure a way on how to develop a space-ship shielding system using quantum-phase technology. Quantum phase technology was discovered recently by the fusion of chemical energy, electrical energy, and atomic particles creating a very reliable power-source. This power-source lasted for hundreds of years and had a very low-power usage when converted into a power cell. The most important order the Emperor made was the development of a ‘’perfect soldier’’ program. The aim was to create a soldier 100% patriotic to his country to the point where he/she would willingly sacrifice their lives on an order by a superior. The soldier should also be perfectly trained in all manner of direct warfare including the manning of a warship. Their body will be to the point where it will be considered extremely fit even for a Vanquarian. To do this the Emperor ordered that 1 billion Vanquarian boys be randomly selected at age 8 and trained until the age of 20. The Emperor also secretly created a female unit consisting of a few thousand that will be trained in the arts of assassination. The aim was to create an assassin proficient in the ways of indirect warfare or if need be, direct. The assassins will use the quickest yet effective way to kill its target. Like the boys the girls shall be indoctrinated. Vanquaria’s workforce was forced to work overtime to meet the needs of this new army. Massive warships were built in weeks and workers forced to work around 9 hours overtime while huge hordes of worker droids are created to help the Vanquarians.
After the 12 years Vanquaria possessed 1 billion soldiers trained to perfection supplemented by over 3 billion conscripted troops that have trained for 5 years, ages 15 to 20. Over 300 warships have been built and billions of weapons and armour created by the combined might of hand and machinery. But the Emperor who had been the mastermind of this unstoppable army was in his deathbed. As he spoke his last speech, in fact Vanquaria’s now most popular speech, the entire nation listened:
‘’My faithful nation, who have obeyed me without question and worked very, very hard with question do not deserve this… humble speech by me. Alas, I am on my deathbed, saying my final words to the nation I love. So let’s get this over with shall we? Truly you are the most superior species in the entire galaxy if not universe. You are the most loyal and creatures gifted by nature to rule over others. Our forefathers landed on this planet, exiled by their own kind and left to die. But die they did not! My great ancestor, Cornus Vulkan, gathered together the might of the our people and together they fought to survive. In an act of defiance against the ones who sent them to die they survived and together they grew and endured. Together they got back up, stronger than ever and our ancestors finally burst out of our ancient cruisers they used to call home and conquered Vanquaria! Now we are on the verge of bursting from our homeworld and conquering the unknown! I say to you, whether a lowly soldier or a high- ranking-general stand together with your brethren! Do not yield to the enemy however powerful it might be. Be brave and fight the enemy, TOGETHER! But to be brave is to also be brave enough to retreat when you are in dire straits. Gather your strength again then come back stronger than before and give no mercy! As my son, Prince Secundus, prepares to ascend to the throne I only have one more thing to say to you my beloved nation…
STAND TOGETHER, FIGHT TOGETHER, AND ENDURE TOGETHER!’’
As the former Emperor gasped his last the armies of Vanquaria launched into the last frontier, reinvigorated by their former Emperor’s speech and ready to do battle in the name of Vanquaria!

Turi system, near Kamose
Regional map for reference
The Archangel was wandering around in a distant solar system. Well actually the Turi system was the solar system closest to their home system, the Scorpii system. The captain looked out of the bridge and admired the planet of Kamose. The beautiful brown gas giant that kind of resembled Jupiter in the sol system. Suddenly the alarms lit up the entire interior of the ship , the loud sirens were almost painful for the ear. When everyone was wondering what it was and looking to the captain for orders. The captain looked at his men in the bridge with confusion. He didn't know what was happening either, but he couldn't show this kind of attitude. If his crew saw the fear in his eyes they would panic too, he could not afford such a thing. He just asked for a report one why the alarm was engaged.
Soon after the question was asked, someone on the computer said that there was a malfunction in the engine room, but a clear scan was not available. The captain returned to his deck and asked over the intercom a immediate report from the the engine department. After a few times repeating his question with no answer he decided to send a guard team to the location. The alarms were frightening the crew, and the captain also. He was tapping his fingers rapidly on the screen of the navigation panel awaiting response from the guards. A few minutes later he heard cracking over his personal radio. "Sir, you might want to listen to this without the rest of the crew." one of the guards said in a worrying tone. The captain responded with "No worries, I am the only one listening."
The guards hesitated on how to tell the news, then one of the guards said "There are 4 bodies here all dead and there is visible damage to the engine."

The captain had to let that news sink in. Almost all of his engineers are dead now.... Almost. He first ordered the medical team to go and clean up the bodies so they wouldn't terrify the engineers that would come into the engine room.
When the bodies were gone he ordered the remaining engineers to try and repair the engine. When they arrived they had no idea what happened. The engine was badly damaged, but with no sign of what could have caused this. The engineers were finally able to repair the engine.... mostly. The FTL drive was still out, communication relays were still not functioning and the energy was depleting rapidly. The Archangel was now just drifting in a solar system that has only information on it from telescopic observations.
When the captain received the report, he just went to his chair, sat down and leaned backwards, not making a sound.

A female operator decided to talk to the captain.
When she greeted him he cut her mid sentence, telling her he wanted to be alone and think.
The woman ignored him and tried to motivate him to try something to save them. "Sir, I am lieutenant Hatale, I served under you on the ANS Trinity during the last imperial war." She saw that he heard her words. He sat up a little bit straighter, interested in what she was about to say now he knew where he knew her from.
"Do you remember our clash with the imperial navy in the northern ocean? We were far from prepared for this fight, but do you know what it was that allowed us to escape and survive the clash? Your perseverance was what saved us all, you refused to surrender, you refused to admit defeat even when all odds were against you, you were the one that saved thousands of lives that day. I need you to became that person again, I need you to start doing something. I know this is all new to you, it is new to all of us. But with a little bit of hope we can make it back to our family and friends back home."
The captain turned around in his chair and looked her in the eyes. "Do you know how hard it is to not admit defeat when you know there is nothing you can do? Tell me what can I do at this moment? We are drifting on dwelling energy supplies with no way to contact Eurion or to travel back."
The woman started to think. A few seconds later she remembered her childhood, and what her father learned her. Her father was very interested in radios and communication devices and passed his knowledge to lieutenant Hatale. "I can try to fix the communication relays from the outside." she said, trying to convince the captain of letting her go outside the ship with a suit to repair the communication relay.

The captain had to think about this. Sending someone outside in this situation could be dangerous. He just looked at his console, only seeing flashing icons indicating that something is malfunctioning. The he looked to a picture of his wife and son. His mind snapped. He changed from the point of crying to a hopeful man. He remembered that the VI of the ship almost knows everything, thousands of times more advanced than a normal computer of this era. Using the Virtual intelligence of the ship he tried to find the cause of the engine malfunction. The told the captain that the engine malfunction was caused by an opening in the engine that allowed the vacuum of space to expand into the engine, destroying some vital parts. The VI started to show ways to repair the engine and send this information to the engineers in the engine room so they could repair the engine.

The captain asked the VI what caused the malfunction of the other systems. It seemed that there was a field of space rubble that the spacecraft passed. The shields were not activated to avoid any unnecessary energy consumption, leading of the penetration of these objects. The communication relay was only lightly damaged, but enough to stop working. The captain decided that the lieutenant was allowed to repair the communications if the VI was allowed to assist her.

While the captain was coordinating the repairs a message appeared on his screen, he immediately signaled Hatale that the communications are working again so she would be able to come back inside.
A hologram of Devin Morthal, the chief engineer of the project appeared on the screen. He transferred the blue glowing image of him to the communications panel in the center of the bridge. He leaned over the railing next to that stairs that separated the elevated portion of the bridge where the captain, the second pilot and the captain sit, with the part that is not elevated. The hologram started to move and speak
"Greetings captain Agetor. We have lost connection with your ship three hours after you used your FTL drive. Is there something off, was the mission unsuccessful? Please let me know, we are starting to get worried about the your and the crews well-being." The captain started the hologram program that would allow the receiving end to see the captain in holographic form. "We hit a problem while orbiting Kamose. Some rubble was able to penetrate our light armor. This incident caused 4 deaths and some major damage to the engine. All other tests have been successful, when our FTL drive is operational we will return home. Archangel out." The captain went back to his chair, sat down and just enjoyed the view.

Emperor's Palace

The Emperor stepped out from the transfer chamber. He walked over to where his old body was and moved it to storage. An AI had been installed to his system.
"Cortona, appraise me of the features of this body."
"This body has a built in laser in the left arm, the newest computer software, me of course, a thin layer of the armor which is good at resisting kinetic forces over top the old armor, and a small, very expensive personal shield generator."
"How long until Admiral Sharkin arrives?"
"A thank you would be nice, but he will be here in five minutes, and he has no idea he is an admiral yet."
"Aren't you supposed to do only what I tell you to?"
"Nope, I am a person that is not a person at the same time."
"Okay," the emperor said ending the conversation and strolling to the entrance flanked by two elite Mesot Guards. "I could get use to this," he thought.
"I heard that," Cortona whispered into his ear.
"Shut it."
The doors swung open and Admiral Sharkin strode in.
"You requested my presence?" the admiral asked.
"Yes, follow me," the emperor said as the doors swung shut.
They walked to an area that had a view of troops training. Some of the troops trained with ion rifles and the new rail rifle which had four ion trails shoot out, merging at the target range for devastating effect. Troops use MRAR's with new bullets which had a small ion bubble in the head. They exploded on contact with anything.
"Alright Admiral..."
"I am only a captain, not an admiral sir," Admiral Sharkin interrupted."
"You are now. I have put you in charge of a new exploration fleet."
"What will I do with it?"
"We have found reference to a species called the Nare. A pod was sent to them and we may want to ally with them. Unfortunately, we have to deal with pirates first. With our fleets being refitted and troops retrained, they have grown bold. I want you to put them in their place. Your capital ship is ready."
"What is it?"
I will take this one," Cortona said using her speakers built into the Emperor's body. "It is a battleship-sized ship, built for exploring and it has a prototype weapon on it. It has 40 PD ion blasters, 10 on each side and 5 on the top, bottom, front, and back. It has 20 layers of tritantium armor, the new armor if you have to know, and a large shield generator with a dedicated ion generator for power. For armaments, it has a prototype laser on the bottom, which generates lots of heat where it is shooting. Each side, the top and bottom, have five missile pods containing 20 ion warheads and 5 plasma warheads. for a total of 500 missiles. They also have 3 heavy ion cannons and 25 small ones. 3 light plasma cannons are also included. The front has a MAC cannon and a heavy plasma. The MAC cannon fires one ton tungsten shells at near lightspeed. It has a total of 30 shots before it has to be reloaded. The back has a heavy ion cannon and 2 small plasmas.
"Thank you..."
"Cortona."
"Meet your ship and kill those pirates," The Emperor ordered.
Admiral Sharkin left the palace and went to his ship, the V.E.S. Trer.

Montona System
The new FTL engines on the V.E.S. Trer powered down.
"Getting here had been easy," the admiral thought. He had introduced himself to the crew and the ship's AI. They had left on schedule and arrived earlier than expected.
Instantly, a fleet of a dozen pirate corvettes, two frigates, and a battleship attacked from head on.
"Fire the MAC at the leading corvette and fire the plasma cannon at the other," Admiral Sharkin ordered Blaise, the ships AI.
Blaise obeyed and the leading corvette was turned apart as the MAC round tore straight through the armor. The shot clipped a corvette causing it to spew air and crew into the void of space. The plasma cannon overwhelmed the other frigate's shields and burned through the first half of the vessel before disappearing.
"Fire the missiles at the remaining corvettes."
The missile pods opened up and 100 of the missiles left. They detonated on the armor of the ships buckling the armor or even blowing it straight off. The battleship caught a plasma across the front as it weaved. The shields went down as the rest of the fleet exploded.
Taking manual control, Admiral Sharking turned the ship up presenting the laser to the battleship. It opened up and melted through the armor of the ship burning the crew inside. The ship melted into a small ball in space.
"Send the combat report in and take us out of here," he ordered the bridge crew and Blaise.
The ship rocketed out of the system.

It had been only a week since the JCF-0001 "The Advance" had been successfully launched from "Kaguya" into orbit and then after only eighteen hours had come crashing back down to Agenisi with the chaos and mystery that had happen aboard the ship was left for the moment unknown. The two Temptress's that had been laying in a puddle of blood had been while unconscious, wrapped up and sealed within the depths of Kaguya under extreme supervision. As fires within the ship were put out as they discovered the condition of the kaleidoscope's and other few remaining survivors and hurriedly moved to sealing the vessel's engine room while removing the vessels power source.

After that was done they pulled every bit of data manually from the bridge and then sent it to Kaguya as they left the Advance to be dealt with on a later date. for the technical staff as they flew, they could truly appreciate the damage a vessel could cause when crash landing on the surface as they looked at the large lane of flattened land as the underneath was forced to bare, the large grooves of upended landmass and pulverised tree's that was tossed aside.

Keifer 8: Time: 12:34pm
Hyperion Forest: Capital; Seia
Lorthou's Residence L10

In Lorthous's office within Heyperion, she had a difficult expression as she sat at her desk. A light aroma wafted thought the air as jess put on a new pot of tea for the second time. Lorthous lightly rolled her eyes, but silently was engrossed in the video and data scrolling past her vision as she examined it with a death glare. She could see the moment Anyu had turned off her antigravity just as she settled into her station on the bridge. She then watched the violent death of the ensign and slightly averted her eyes when she burst like a balloon. Even she could imagine the horror but yet the captain had remained calm and somewhat collected as she eventually took over the ship from her crew.
The blood soaked Yali was truly a sight to behold as she had entered the bridge looking like she did, she was literally a mass of red and black as if spawned from a place where nightmares gather... no wonder the crew broke she had looked like a psychopath ready for its next victim.
The cleaning was admirable as Lorthous watched Yuli clean what was formally the ensign... she didn't want to imagine the stench, but knew full well since she had opened the bridge's viewport, it was one of the first things to hit her besides the sight of the two temptress's. it was as Yuli left the bridge that things got interesting as Tali was able to activate a limited gravity field for the rooms which explained why the captain had fallen to the floor when she entered her room. However it was when Captain Yuli after her long shower went to sleep which surprised Lorthous. The changes started happening the moment she hit that pillow.
First was her wings as they darkened from white to that solid obsidian black. Then her skin started pail and her hair grew while the pigments within were transforming the hair a strand at a time. She didn't want to think of what was happening on the inside.

She fast-forwarded to when Yuli was practically drowning herself with water, and hen the lights flared on her shock, dismay and confusion etched on her beautiful face. Lorthous couldn't help feeling bad for her as she once again fast-forwarded through her movement in the halls as she floated through them, missing the areas she wanted to go through, and well past the testing to the very moment she left the bridge. This is where the mystery was that she needed to solve... what had happened to her while Tali held the bridge.

Kaguya Navel Port
(Approximate Unknown)

There was a stiffening darkness as the girl opened her eyes, she was unable to see, but as she tried to move her limbs found that she was unable to, was she bound... had she lost her limbs, she didn't know, but the last thing she did remember was the sound of meat being chewed and a strange pain flaring on her right arm before being numbed.
Slowly the girl felt around with the only unbound part of her body which was her head but it could only bob side to side a few centimeter's and lightly held it down. Immediately something cold met the skin and she jumped in responses flinging her head backwards only to hit something hard which caused her to grunt in pain.
However knowing it was cold, the girl lowered her head once more after the pain had dulled and felt the cold object. It was soft and held no resistance as if like water and yet when she tried to push through it would harden like rock in an instant. The girl was befuddled on what the object was and with the only sensation she could use was her head, she couldn't tell if she was standing or laying down and thus sighed lightly in partially defeat and then spoke lightly.

"Gezz, where am I?"
Instantly something beeped as soon as the words left the girls mouth and a small light flooded the area above her, as she struggled to look at it the strange white plushy walls of her prison were slowly put into existence around her. She was surrounded by those pushy white walls in every direction but one. It was a small window with only half a foot in area, far too small for anyone to really fit through.
But it's glass was mirrored and only reflected the room back, but near it was a small mechanism with a varity of buttons.
"Very funny." The girl thought "I'm bound but you put a touchpad out with buttons in front of me... are you trying to torture me?"

However before the girl could even sigh in a sarcastic manner, she was assaulted by a strange sensation in her lower regions. quickly the girl put pressure on her groin in agony and quickly started speaking, her golden eyes looked pleadingly at the window while her face had the look of pain on it.
"Ahhhh... please help... it's.... coming out.... i'm going to leek...oh god... oh, oh god..... NOOOOOOOOOOO!"
The girl yelled out a the top of her lungs, she could feel her body releasing something, her lower body moistening unpleasantly, quickly tears started rolling from the girls eyes as she sobbed bitterly from embarrassment and shame.
She had just wet herself... what was she a child? no... it, it wasn't her fault, it was whoever had bound her's fault... that's what she tried to convince herself of as she cried. However a sudden voice speaking from everywhere made her freeze from her sobbing and look up.

"hmm, humidity is rising... what... oh sh.... your awake Lieutenant Tali... one moment... one moment... oh gezz what button is it."
Quickly a beep was released beside her and suddenly she could hear something unraveling and changing form. Suddenly she could feel her body and quickly got up and rushed at the window in a single minded process. Her fingers nimble hit the touchpads buttons, but the machine wouldn't respond.

"Don't bother Lieutenant, your currently under supervision, please just laydown and rest... you've had a long journey... Mistress Lorthous will be down in a few hours... it's been rather busy since the crew of the advance got back."
"What are you talking about? how did I get here!... Where's the Advance... where's the captain?"
"Oh I can help you with that... its simple look behind you."

Slowly Tali turned, on her heels as if afraid to look afraid of what she might find. and then her eyes rested on Yuli resting comfortably against the wall with her hands behind her head while looking lightly in her direction.
She still had that odd black hair, and her clothing had been replaced with newer uniform. but her look no... her presence had changed even further in a way she couldn't quite tell.

"Morning sleeping beauty... took you long enough here I've been all by my lonesome for hours."
"Captain... where are we?"
"Planet side Lieutenant, currently in the furthest reaches of Kaguya in isolation... seems we've made... no... I've made a mess of trouble for Lorthous..."

"I... I don't understand..."
"Don't worry, you will, but for now... sit by me and relax... you'll feel better. "

Tali was only getting more and more confused... what had happened... why were they back on Agenisi, what had happened after testing? she couldn't remember at all, but slowly her legs her away from the mirror like window and then placed herself beside her captain. she sighed as she was already over her head, as Yuli dropped a hand on her head and lightly stroked her hair.
Instantly she felt good as the captains fingers lightly pulled against her hair, strange her promise of feeling better came true. but it didn't explain the situation but as an hour passed in the quietness of the room a beep resounded and the a door from the window appeared and Lorthous in her white bandage like uniform walked in gracefully.
Instantly Tali started doing double takes between the Captain and Mistress Lorthous as her mind when into overdrive.
The captain looked like Lorthous, no it wasn't something as cute at that. They looked almost exactly the same as if twins separated at birth.

However as Lorthous got to be in front of them, she then suddenly laid down on too her stomach and then put a arm under her head as a pillow while the other supported her head and then spoke. "So... where would you like me to start?"
Her eyes and aura seemed to be rather light in feeling, but her tone was rather annoyed from its frequencies.

"... your saying I've turned into what?" Asked Tali, her face was slightly even more pale then before as Lorthous had went over the sequence of events. In her hand shaking lightly she gripped her new black hair as she waited for Lorthous's response. But from the story that she was still thinking silently about she was no longer an Arkor with there tribal red tattoos engraved all over the body and distinct crimson wings, but of a different mutation called a "Temptress".

"I said you've both turned into Temptress's, generally they are of a rarer mutation. Extremely dangerous, your more prone to your emotions and instincts which eventually have lead to self destruction."
Lorthou's paused to let those words sink in, Yuli gave no response, but Tali was more visibly shaken. Lorthous couldn't blame her, the life of a Temptress was a dark one, a endless bloody path, where you would watch yourself kill endlessly unable to control your urges.

It could start with a passing look, a glace of a sudden target to a temptress's taste, it could be something as petty the way someone stands, or how their eyes look, but to a temptress they would fall in love with that target in that instant and they would pursue it as they would be filled with an unholy urge to feast upon that love until there was not even a single scrap of blood left on the ground.
With nothing but charm and an unnatural beauty, a temptress could sink her fangs into even the most well guarded of castle and lead them to ruin.
Love... hope and happiness. Such things were meaningless to a Temptress until their destined one competed them.
"Or that should have been the case... but you two seem to nullify each other."

"What do you mean, I thought that a temptress is usually killed no matter the circumstance."
"Generally yes, that's because alone a temptress will continue to seek their destined one, their polar opposite. This usually leads to a mountain of corpse's. But in your case, you two are completely stable, I don't know if I can call this a miracle or not considering that I knew you were going to mutate Yuli."

"You knew what... Exactly?" suddenly Yuli who had been quiet the entire time raised her eyes dangerously. She gave off a stare that could make even the most hardened of soldiers whimper. and she was issuing it right directly at Lorthous. However Lorthous lightly chuckled and then gave an even fiercer gaze right back and spoke with a voice of pure hostility.

"I said... I knew your fate of becoming a Temptress... why do you think I selected you as the captain of an experimental ship... I was planning on destroying you before you had awoken as an act of mercy... failing that, you were suppose to have crashed and been trapped on Nora-Vas'tal for the remainder of your days until you died."

"Oh... I'm impressed that you so blatantly tried to kill a friend..."
"Friend or not... you where a threat... although i'm honestly glad that this has worked out how it has."

"And I'm now officially lost... Captain... what is she talking about?"
"Well Lieutenant... pretty much the "Advance" was rigged to explode to kill me."
"wait...Wait... WHAT!" said Tali suddenly looking at both Lorthous and Yuli.
"So Lorthy... what now?"
" I really hate when you call me that Yuli... as of for now... since your both stable, you'll be free to resume your lives... in proximity to each other and... would you please finish the final test?."
" I don't think you forgot... but I'm out of a ship..."
"Oh captain... my cute little dangerous captain... you don't think I have others ready for you... it has been a week, and of course after reviewing the former tests your lieutenant had done, we've changed the vessels blueprints for their liability's."
"How so?"
"Oh we added on external plating over the hull in addition to the external armored shell. So while cargo has decrease slightly, the overall defense has been increased."
"You never cease to surprise me Lorthy."

In less then an hour, they had been released for the solitary confinement within Kaguya. Were forced onto a new frigate with a mainly new crew save for the ones who had survived who had been added to this ships roster and were back in space... It was in its own right mindboggling how much insight Lorthous had, that's what Yuli thought silently. and in normal cases would have been happy to say it, if it wasn't for the fact that Lorthous was happily sitting beside her silently reading a book as they once again orbited Agenisi.
As Yuli sighed at just how prepared Lorthous actually was, she looked over the bridge crew. They were silent for the most part absorbed and focused on their stations save for the fact that they all wore dark gray uniforms. They were in actually the security team that had survived from the Advance.
Silently Yuli sighed and then lightly touched her console.
Displayed was various coordinates from within to outside their solar system. As Yuli looked at it lost in thought Lorthus silently watched with a small smile before putting her nose back in her book, she knew that she would start the FTL test soon and thus confident that the testing would actually start. However an hour passed in relative quickness which made Lorthous look up at Yuli lightly concerned.
"Um... Captian... you can order the test anytime now..."
Yuli woke from her deep seated thoughts to find everyone staring at her. Nervously she started smiling and then lightly laughed hen the bridge door opened from behind and Tali walked in with a annoyed look on her face. as she stood behind Yuli, she raise her right hand which held an object, it was a large paper fan that Tali had crafted for just this moment and then brought it down on Yuli's head with a loud crack.
"Get on With IT!"
"alright, alraight... helmsmen, are the coordinates locked?"
"Ma'am. coordinates locked... Reactors are at full power, were just waiting on you."
"Right... Activate FTL system "Rosen-Bridge" target short ranged jump. Co-ordinate's 00.HT5X3."
"Ma'am Rosen-bridge online, Target co-ordinates entered, short ranged jump to the edge of the system locked. "
"Wormhole detected, it's forming in front of the Reposia."

JCF:0002- Reposia(In Orbit)
Captain: Yuli Ronqi.

The Reposia was the second frigate n the Jericho naval line, it had been completed at the same time as the "Advance", but in the week since had undergone rapid refitting to its new specifications. As the vessel orbited its small world, in front of the vessel a small dot no bigger then a few atoms appeared and then rapidly enlarged. As it grew a visible whirlpool of blue light entered the spectrum. As the whirlpool grew it quickly enveloped the Resposia as it released thunder like bolts of pure energy out and then in a flash of dazzling light faded together with the ship out of existence as a beam speed out away from Nora-Vas'tal.

From the inside, they saw a large swirl of light blind them as the windows shields rapidly dimmed, at the same time the ship violently felt like it was shaking from the outsides of the whirlpool. however the whirlpool looked like clear shiny water which was rapidly spinning around then while pulling them towards the center. However at the center another image of space could be seen rapidly growing before them. Until it suddenly took the image around them as the whirlpool suddenly unraveled and then faded as if it never existed at all. the shaking stopped and then it was just quiet as they held there momentary silence.
They had now jumped billions of miles away from Nora-Vas'tal, in an instant, sure they were in the same system, but they had actually jumped to its edge and were looking back in. Suddenly someone started clapping until the entire bridge was clapping in amazement.

"It... actually worked... I now it was a short jump... but a connection from one point to another was actually made..." said Tali in disbelief. she was honestly shocked, they all really were in reality, but the excitement held them. Yuli and Lorthous remained calm however not letting themselves be swayed by the commotion and quietly talked amongst themselves.
"Is this really alright... were not exactly a safe species to be traveling the stars one wrng move and we'd likely destroy it..."
"I know your concerns captain... its also why I was against this... but... if that message is true... we will need this power in the days to come."
"I'm guessing you have a back up plan of sorts?"
"Yes... although it will take a long time to set it up... should we need to completely one day disappear... I have a system that will in design that will... move the entire system out."
"How long would it take..."
"Maybe twenty... no twenty five thousand years..."
"Well as long as we have a plan, then I'll follow wherever this path takes us."
"Indeed. the next few thousand ears might be exciting indeed... but for the moment... take us home will you."
"Yes, your majesty..."

Yuli then looked forward, this was there home... although they were quite a distance from the world they called home. As the Reposia's two massive engines glowed a fain blue, the vessel started moving slowly back towards home in real space. It was going to be a long trip homewards... but with the future now truly at their backs pushing them forward with destiny... they thought that they had all the time in the world...

How utterly foolish that hope was.

Ere Mantil

In the system of Weiniss IV. Inside the constellation of Savo's Arm and the Oto Cluster. It lies the Dead System of Dogma and its once planet of Ere Mantil. Once they were near the level of a spacefaring civilization until the rise of the Cult of Xeniki. The people that once ruled the planet became the Unuk and they live as the Xeniki's servants and their mental network across the garden world where great cities still are kept restored in some way thanks to the technology that was kept before the Collapse.

The tribes of the Unuk had reached into a planet of 3 billion after the Collapse thanks to the unity of the Xeniki, but still they compete amongst each other. Rather it is hunting, or scavenging for technology of the Pre-Collapse World. The world of Ere Mantil still had many treasures to be plundered, but it would take them centuries to get it all back and restore their dominance over the land.

To them, this hostile world was their paradise and they didn't want to leave for they didn't know how. Until the Message came. It was just another day for a sky fishing trip over the ruins of the city of Omnuga Pae. Once the city itself was a place of art and culture. Now a place that was a roost for the large skyfish who are as large as the skyscrapers that could feed a tribe for years. Those that hunted the skyfish were known to be the riches and elite among their kind were able to have airships and could even have their entire tribe be lift in the air and move as one with their powerful engines by a sphere of strong magnetism that was generated from by large magnetic coils of positive, negative, and neutral poles in order propel their ships. and used them like fins and built them with the intention on mimicking the skyfish.

They were able to move as fast as the skyfish who were able faster than the speed of sound when they filled their sacks with air and started to move in a straight line. However, the Unuk ship was capable of using a static charge to catch up to it and use their hunting buoys to bring it down. As the ship started to move in to hunt the skyfish, a large light appeared from the sky and made large holes in the clouds and sonic booms that scared the skyfish away.

The Unuk had became curious of what scared their food source and went deep into the city's ruins to where the light had landed. When the had sent their buoys to the surface to where they had found something that wasn't a light, but a machine. They wandered if it was lost technology from the Collapse, but it looked nothing like it. One of them touched it then a spark of light came on and a virtual hologram came on with an alien that was not the Dogma and it spoke in a language that the Xeniki taught them.

The chieftain had recognized that this probably came from somewhere else and took it to their computer that they needed to bang a few times to get a direct line to the Xeniki Talhorne and tell them of what they had found. It took a while to find the right interface since there were over 2 billion Xeniki on the planet alone that live light four-legged plants. " Um nashi Talhorne, e'tey poul?"( This one is Xeniki Talhorne, what is it)

The chieftain held up the pod to the computer," it is alien. " she turned it on and played the message. The Xeniki had shivered and the acknowledgement of the first contact," this...is treasure beyond anything that the Dogma had made. Bring this to Xeniki Talhorne and you shall have enough skyfish meat and wealth that your tribe will be the envy of all others."

Stornoway
Invictus A
42.1 degrees with a UV Scale of 12

"Hi, this is your regional weather report. Today is April the twenty second. Today has been the hottest day of the year as temperatures topped at 42.1C in Stornoway due to a anticyclonic high pressure system which is bringing hot, sticky air from the equator, tomorrow infact may be even worse as the anti-cyclonic winds strengthen, we predict forty eight degrees in the Centre of Stornoway, the protesting may have to stop by then as it gets dangerously hot and humid, already four elderly people have died of the heat. Stay inside, don't go outside unless you need to, drink plenty of fluids, thats all from Invictus Weather Regional, have a nice day."

On the hottest day of the year, thousands of men and woman protest about the little action being taken by the Belivonian Alliance about warming on Invictus. Reports confirm that already over twenty people have died after what is claimed to be police abuse.

Invictus News
Reporting from Invictus Orbiting Station (The Citadel)

"as the protest's continue thousands of workers and jobs have been disrupted, it is stirring a lot of trouble already as twenty people have died after instigating chaotic attacks upon the police, John Baker reports at Alliance headquarters,"

John Baker is flying in a old-helicopter, after not receiving any new funds the news company hasn't been able to fund new vehicles, the new funds that were suppose to head straight towards the company, has been sent into the research of the unidentified probe.

"Yes, it is chaotic here, riot police are reporting many officers fainting due to the heat, They picked a smart day to protest, at the minute it is not violent however some marauders have decided to attack unsuspecting officers, causing two to die due to head injuries. Many other civilians have decided to stop protesting all together as it gets too hot."

Endeavour
en route to Minnars

"practically no fuel was used, over." the brave astronaut was fascinated in how the engines used very little fuel in a very big burn, "You have two hours of sleeping and waking to do, we have installed a internet signal on your pod, you will be able to use the internet, ofcourse the farther you go from our satellites the slower it will be. We will prioritize your most-visited websites for usage, right now it will take you around four minutes to load up a webpage, make sure you take your tablets everyday to lower the risk of any cancers growing in you throughout your trip. Goodnight, when you land we will make contact, goodbye." Mission control popped from the screen, and the endeavours astronaut had a long wait.

Invictus B
Science Station

"Don't touch anything," yelled Chris. "Okay, okay, jesus." The scientist backed away and started working on his own thing.
Chris was using the information in the pod and materials to create a weather changer. It was ordered by the Alliance as the weather in Invictus A has changed and temperatures are rising by the year, he had to put all his priorities to the bottom to work on this.
"So, any news?" the space commissioner walked over. "Yes, I've been able to control the winds, I must have messed up though, when I want it to go north, it goes south. Not a biggy, to be done tommorow." Chris said.
"That is good, keep working hard. The alliance cant handle any more droughts, heatwaves and protests." the space commissioner walked away through a automatic door, with his hands in his pockets.

this is updated every year in the roleplay.

Vogega System
Vogega

"...if you see this outsiders when you are meeting with the Nare, just gather intel. The data on these foes, potential ally, is lacking and vague."
"I will keep that in mind," Admiral Sharkin said as he cut off the transmission.
He gazed out of his window towards his fleet. He had 10 corvettes, 5 frigates, 5 freighters and two missile ships. The missile ships were for the defense of the fleet. They looked like long flat pancakes that had been burned to an absolute crisp. Each one had a particle beam on the bottom which fired negatively charged ions towards a target in a controlled field. They also had 20,000 missiles spread evenly across launchers on the top and bottom with a few ion cannons on the sides. They had a shield generator and 10 layers of triranium armor. They also carried a compliment of 500 marines trained in the Nare's physical structures. He also had is ship of course.
"Blaise, how long until we arrive at Keifer 8?"
"We will arrive in approximately e weeks."
"Thank you."
The fleet of ships rocketed out of the system as they slipped into the sub-dimension of hyperspace.

Vogega
Emperor's Palace

The Emperor stopped looking over his reports. He had been reading the results of tests, the naval yards refit finish, and the troop training reports.
"Cortona, contact the minister of exploration.
"As you wish," Cortona replied.
"Minister," the Emperor said as soon as the minister appeared on his holographic display. "I want you to send a probe to where the only uncorrupted file said a battle took place. We must gather more information."
"Of course."
A probe rocketed off of Vogega heading towards sector V7.
