well my position on cloning would be that they can be mass produced to a high level, but short lifespans since in most cases, cloning and the growth agents for rapid grown can shorten the DNA's Telomeres.
As for robotics as said above the cost and upkeep would be for lack of a better word, Gargantuan. and while yes with those sleek designs you can counter such costs like in say in S.W.E.1.P.M. but like those droids, the can only really point and shoot and take basic orders.
this is due to the fact that providing every droid with a Smart AI is simply not possible unless its linked in a hive mind sort of fashion.
which also mean that if you take out that main unit, everything dies like in SWE1PM.
there's also the problem that comes with RPing such a large group. While yes its possible, the actions would be have to be fairly open, and the scales of battles would by definition, be simply immense with deathcounts hitting unheard of levels.
And while it can be done it is extremely hard like a diamond in a haysack and takes a lot of effort and time to pull off.
Which is why we usually focus on small groups within the whole to make our stories, because all actions can lead to a variety of reactions.
In the case of the Nare, I have at max five to ten basic storylines which I tweak when it comes to the "Migration"
This is because the migration consists of 10k Members with varying storylines which mostly end up with death or slavery.
In fact I make the rate of return for the migration low on purpose simply because its far more interesting that way.
