In the north, a great and terrible army grows - an alliance headed by a queen. The gaze of the world rests on Cardulan and her allies, waiting with baited breath. What will the winter months bring? How will Oehiton fare with no food, no fuel and no electricity?

The fragile, paper thin interim government of Fjordland plays a desperate game as juggles the need to rebuild its homeland with the desire for vengeance against the Pagan minority. Tempers fray and games are played - games where if you win, no-one will ever know, and if you lose, you may see your homeland plunged into the abyss of violence and hate it has so recently crawled out of.

The battered Sundland has raised the white flag, offering surrender. Will its terms be met? Occupying armies carefully weigh the options - the very lives of its people hang in the balance.
