The First International Taigawanese Banquet IC/OPEN)

[Taigawa]

For the first time since she became empress, Neyla walked the ancient halls of her palace, waiting for guests to arrive. She had had tables set up in the audiance hall, arrayed with every food known to the people of Thessia. The purple, blue-striped tigress had to resist the temptation to begin eating the food laid out before her. This celebration was to mark the biceninnial of her nation's rise to prominance on the interversal stage, and as such, she wanted to showcase her culture to her nation's allies, and through the celebrations to come, learn of theirs. She was dressed in her red and golden robes, determined to look her best for the coming guests.

[Honnen]

President Okada lectured the young Head of Cultural affairs on their way to the Grand Thessian (Taigwanese?) Palace. "Now Yuki," she began, "I know younwill be curious about the customs of these people, but you must retain some dignity when collecting data." The boy genius adjusted his glasses and pulled up his holocam. "What do you mean, Ai?" He said, snapping images of the nation's distinctive architecture.
The president sighed. "Mr. Misuzawa,You are the youngest, brightest Head of Cultural affairs our nation has ever known, but you have to understand the weight this banquet carries on our relations and stature with this nation." Yuki waved the comment away, busy taking photos of a startled resident.
"Just look at this place!" He said, excited electricity crackling through him, making his platinum blond hair stand up in a halo around his head, "the people are TIGERS, Ai. TIGER PEOPLE." The president gave him a stern look that shut him up as they came to the door.
"Just Treat them well, Yuki," she said, smoothing down her flowing blue and silver robes and adjusting her gear designed necklace. "Be cordial, stay pleasant, and make our nation proud." The boy nodded as the doors opened to the hall.

Neyla saw him come in. "Welcome to the White Tiger Palace. I am Neyla, empress of Taigawa. I bid you welcome to the heart of my empire. The other guests should be arriving shortly. If you need anything, just ask my serventss. They're here to assist you."

[Honnen]

"Thank you, empress Neyla," said Ai, bowing low, "I am President Ai, of the Confederacy of Honnen. It is truly an honor to be here. Your empire is most impressive; Taigawa has certainly florished under your rule."
She waited for a moment, then elbowed Yuki, who was staring off into space. "Wha-What? Oh, sorry." He said, snapping back to reality. "Yuki Misuzawa, head of cultural affairs.ts an honor to meet you." He bowed, and Ai elbowed him again. He looked at her, confused at first, but then began to rummage through him pockets. A small glass box was produced, and he held it out to the empress. "Uh, a gift for you." He stammered, "its a data crystal, it contains nearly all honneni knowlege on peace and negotion tactics." He opened the box, revealing a translucent sapphire with barely visable code etched into it, set in a silver bracelet.

(OOC: sorry I didn't include a rp example! I forgot to scroll down, so I didn't get all of it. I hope the quality of my writing is alright though.)

"That it has. My goal is still out of reach however. That goal is this: to reclaim the technology of the Forerunners, and to attain The Mantle. I have helped my people move closer to that dream, but it is still elusive. And this crystal...I will have my scientists work on a way to interface it with our technology." She stated proudly, accepting the gift.

Ai nodded, and her brow creased thoughtfully. "Ah, if you don't mind me prying a bit, what is the "Mantle?" She glanced over her shoulder and motioned for a servant to bring her a drink.

Yuki's holopad matirialized in front of him, and he poised his hands to type, staring intently at Neyla "yes, and what are the forerunner? Were they tigers too?" Ai shot a menacing look at the teen, making a mental note to reprimand him for his rudeness later.

"It is a very long story. And actually, we have no idea what they were. Their whole race just....vanished. The Mantle...It was a merge between the political and socio-religious beliefs held by the Forerunners, which underpinned their authority. The Mantle, from what we have found, was their right the rule their galaxy-spanning empire. We are not ready to attain that power yet, but we will be before Shiala inherits the Crystal Throne from me."

"Interesting philosophy, " she said, "but I would not bother you with the details if you would rather not." The president smoothed her hand over the cool medal part of her face, "though I would imagine that that may be a problem with other imperial forces in the galaxy..."

"The Forerunners had weapons based on Hardlight technology, which we are finally able to create ourselves, thinks to out scientists. They also had Particle cannons, and a device called The Composer. That weapon can take out a city like Illium instantly. Plus there are other weapons we are beginning to find....and we have and use Forerunner starships to lead our fleets." she said proudly before noticing another guest enter. "Welcome to the White Tiger Palace."

I'll Tell You A Bit About Myself; I Have Been Emperor For 23 Years, Long Before That I Was Chancellor Of The Republic Which I Solely Broke Up, Before That I Was A Senator And Was Manipulating Galactic Politics, I Am A Sith Master Lord And Started And Won A Galactic Civil War, I Eliminated The Jedi, And I Have Complete Control Of My Galaxy. This Is A Very Lovely Palace, I Am Excited For This Banquet; It Is Nice To Take A Break From Crushing A Rebellion To Go To A Party. Prince Colonel Petasos, the Duke of Shamrock, son to Princess Celestia, Alicorn Stallion with wings tucked to his side, blonde mane and white fur groomed, blue eyes sparkling, clad in the red uniform of the Royal Army, sabre and blaster pistol for ceremonial purposes at his side, adorned with the symbols of the 7th Loyal Shamrock Hussars, sighed.
He was proud to represent the Reign and to represent his mother at this banquet, but they overdid it a bit. He was alone on the ground, yes, but while he asked his mother for a small transport to bring him to the banquet, she placed a whole battlegroup in charge of the transport of her son.
Battlegroup Jewel of Life.
Led by the Dusk's Shine class Large Star Destroyer GAS Jewel of Life, five Escort Cruisers and a whole lot of frigates. He was thankful, as he stood on the bridge, hyperspace at the front window.
At his side stood Vice Admiral Rower, an old and wizened officer and mare. She, of course, saw the sigh and raised an eyebrow. "I hope that wasn't the usual 'It sucks to rely on the Golden Armada'-sigh you RA-colts always have..."
"No, no.", Petasos said with a embarrassed smile. "It's just... I requested a small transport. I got a large Star Destroyer."
"Look at it this way, colt!", the Bridge Eldest, the Sensor Officer Captain Lookout, said with a huge smile, "This is one way to pick up fillies!"
There was a round of laughter, even Petasos found himself joining in. Legend had it, that Lookout was around, when his mother had been a little filly, but that was a question for another day.
"Besides...", the Vice Admiral added, "We are small. When compared to a moon."
"Coming out of hyperspace!", the navigation officer called out.
The crew went back to business as there wasn't much to do in hyperspace. Sure enough, a few seconds later, there was a bright flash and the large ship with her escorts were in orbit of a planet, beautifully shining down on them.
Immediately, the transponder sprang to diplomatic mode, sending a message, that they were on a diplomatic mission. A few seconds later, after all status-green-reports were taken care of, Vice Admiral Rower followed it up with her own message, only in audio: "Attention Orbital Defenders of Thessia, this is Vice Admiral Rower aboard GAS Jewel of Life on a diplomatic mission - with all due respect, the ambassador of Her Devine Majesty wishes to request coordinates to park us and to send a shuttle to. He also wishes you a good day."
Petasos facehoofed behind her.

"Servent, see to my guests." the tigress said as she sat at the head of the grand table. "Appitisers will be brought out, but I won't let it begin in earnest untill more guests arrive. As for me, I have lived for 151 years, 135 of which I've served as empress. I continued the efforts my mother began in order to advance us. You no doubt noticed Cheng Yiån on your way here. The arcologies there and across Thessia are recent constructs compared to the building I call home."

"Please be advised, that this is a fifteen kilometre long Large Star Destroyer on diplomatic mission coming to dock at your station. It might take a while and we might need tugs." The Admiral considered her next words carefully. "In order to deliver the Prince in time, I request to send a shuttle with him aboard to Hangar Bay 11. Or you sending a shuttle to us, whatever you prefer."
A nod send the Prince towards the main hangar, on the ventral side of the gigantic ship. He would be there in fifteen minutes - a small text message was sent in order to prepare for visitors.
Meanwhile, the large starship and her escorts altered course to go alongside Armarli Station to dock - the frigates and escort cruisers wouldn't be a problem, but the Jewel would be.
In case of trouble, the fighter complements were ready for launch - not that anyone expected an attack by the Taigawanese, but rather an attack on the Taigawanese. In the long history of the Reign, there had been weirder things.
And it paid to be prepared for the worst case scenario.

[The Kanto Moons]

Ai bowed respectively to emperor and Vader (though she did not care much for being the only democratically elected head of state present), and introduced her self. "Hello, I am Ai, president of honnen. And this is-"
"Ohmygoshohmygosh!" Yuki interrupted, "Emperor Paplatine? !" He bowed furiously, his hair standing on end as his electric body filled with energy, "I-ive seen all the movie dramitizations of your take over of the Republic--"
"Not now Yuki...." said Ai, shaking her head. "Fanboy over infamous dictators later, please..." she grabbed a small silver ring out of her small bag, handing it to the Emperor. "A gift, in all good spirit. "

[Honnen]

"The Planet-Breaker Wrath of The Mantle will assist you. To avoid mix-ups with customs groundside in and around the palace, a shuttle will be provided to you by the Imperial Navy." At that moment, a large Forerunner ship approached and fired hardlight teathers to drag the battlestar into position.

"Thank you very much.", the Vice Admiral replied over comms with a nice smile - of course, it was still audio only, but it usually krept into the voice anyway. "Jewel of Life over and out."
Planet Breaker, huh?, she thought with a frown towards the admittedly impressive ship moving towards her. Sounds like a fun ship...

Meanwhile, the main hangar was prepared to receive guests, meaning, that some of their own shuttles and landing craft were moved out of the way. A small group of Royal Marines came in to secure the proceedings.
None of them would escort the Prince, who arrived via Speeder, to the ground, but as long as he was onboard of their ship, he would be under their watch and that was final. With the large, ventral hangar doors open to receive their guest, and having a simply splendid view of open space, one couldn't help but wonder, who was mightier: The one, who claimed to have all the grains of sand on the beach or the one who had a handful in his hand?
With these thoughts, Petasos waited, his red uniform prim and proper.
