"No thank you sir. I can get there." Sainman told Lero as he flipped a few switches on his shield and started to dematerialize, reappearing on the ship.

Lerocav shrugged and took off. 10 seconds later, he was on the roof and sheathing his Handle.

Everyone was ready to go on the roof and so Lerocav hopped in and took the center seat of the ship.

"Let's get back to headquarters," he said with a grin, and the ship took off from the roof at high speed, heading to the D.S.F. Legacy.

Sainman looked out to the streets below, seeing the various police cars and halted traffic.

Sainman stared at this for another moment before he took his shield off and began to tweak at it, opening up a hatch and poking at what seemed to be a variety of computer parts and glowing stones.

Shade decided to take down his hood, but not his face-mask. He started picking at his guantlets.

After a very long awkward silence, he spoke

"Totally nailed it."

After a moment of considering whether or not Shade was being sarcastic, Lerocav shrugged and replied, "Besides the fact I got shot, it was pretty friggen awesome ... No lie. Especially when Sainman wrecked those guys in the stairwell," he chuckled, absentmindedly rubbing the quickly fading scars from when he'd been shot.

Once they exited the Metropolon city limits, the Legacy was visible again. It was just how they'd left it, hovering over the fields outside Metropolon.

When the ship docked, Shade raised from his seat to go inside, stretching and murmuring curses

"Oh Ksah, zatknënehsk..."

He stared at Lerocav, thinking to himself

Gorrahm Lerocav...I will seek retribution.

Sainman mostly ignored what was being said and stayed focused on his shield.

He seemed to be frustrated with something.

Saint an looked up.

"Huh? Oh, I was just trying to add a new feature to my shield. It's just being a little difficult" Sainman said, going back to his shield.

Shade was fascinated with machinery and technology.

Lerocav saw Sainman tinkering but he figured Shade would cover it. Besides, he didn't want to create more tension by trying to compete with Shade for helping Sainman.
So instead, he left the shuttle and started exploring around the ship. Mainly he was looking for a bathroom.
"Really dad? No bathroom signs? That's just like you ..." he muttered as he wandered about.

"This is a mixture of magic and technology from all over." Sainman replied as something from his shield made a snapping sound.

"Ah, here we go." Sainman relieved. "Stand back and throw something at me."

Shade did as instructed, he went over to the far end of the shuttle, and threw a spearhead.

Sainman held up his shield, but before the spear could hit, it just suddenly stopped, and hovered in the air for a moment, a light, blue essence surrounding it.

"I finally managed to install levitation into this thing." Sainman said proudly. "Now make sure you duck" he warned as the spear turned back towards shade, and flew back at him.

Shade just lifted his hand and the ricocheted spear stopped in mid air, as the light chain dissolved into an energy cell, and threw it to Sainman.

"Use this to power your sheild. It lasts a long time.

That shield is exquisite! How did you acquire such a device? Oh, let me guess, you made it yourself!"

(^this isn't sarcastic btw)

Sainman caught the cell. "Got it." He thanked.

Sainman became slightly uncomfortable at shades question however.

"P-Paceman had this specially made for me. He used the combined technology and magic of various parts of Sonnel, Mushcap, and Katrasen. I think some Brytil components too." Sainman explained as he looked down at his shield.

Shade noticed how everyone was gloomy, remembering their respective mentors. He couldn't help but think of his own father as well, but knew he had to something to avenge them all. Looking down at his spearhead, he questioned even his own motivation as to why he was even fighting in the first place. His father was always out, with the Embassy on some fun, adventurous, life-threatening missions, and Shade felt...neglected. He let his hood down, and the mask retracted. He showed off his longer, silver-white hair and deep gold eyes. Looking at all the weapons everyone had, he had a revelation. It seemed everyone needed more motivation to fight their enemy. He noticed flaws in everyone, including himself. It was time. This is what his father was talking about. Shade was ready to get started on making everyone a team.

"Hey. Everyone, can I say something?"

"no-"

"Too bad. I know everything is going so fast, and we've had...." Looking directly at Lerocav, "issues. However, I think with a little more training, the next gig we get wont be such a bust. And I'm willing to do whatever I can to make us better. "

Shade now looked at all the members of the team, and walked over to Lerocav, and looked him dead in the eye.

"...but, I can't do it alone."

Lerocav had just got out of the bathroom when Shade began speaking.

Lerocav understood what Shade was saying, and he nodded, looking right back at the Xhay with equal intensity.

"The real question is, what is our next gig gonna be?" he asked.

"Im going to find where my quarters on this ship are." Sainman told the group as went off into corridor.
