This is the official NWU Regional Embassy Conference. It hosts a meeting between New World Union and embassy Regions. NWU is the host of our conference. This is an invite only Conference.

The Unovians opened the Conference as the delegations arrived. "Welcome to the Conference. My name is Benjamin Connors, President of Unovia. I welcome you to this meeting. By the end, I hope we can produce a closer spirit of unity among the 9 Regions that will be represented here. I hereby open the floor to the first topic of discussion of this meeting."

I am the founder of Gay Equality. Recruitment is an interesting subject, but do you mean recruitment to a region or recruitment to the NEU?

"I'm King Frederick of The Green Empire of Frezland, and am here as part of the delegation from The Confederation. We prioritise recruitment highly in TC, as it's one of the most important aspects of regional management."

Recruitment should be the main subject of discussion

We have tried to recruit but with little success. We lack the technical savvy, I suspect. I certainly do.

We are a small region (24 nations). The region of Gay (250+) is an older region and recruits successfully. We would like to have more members, but the last time we targeted newbies in the Pacifics we got seven new members. I believe they have all since ceased to exist. Quality is more important than quantity, but two or three more nations in the region that take an active interest would be welcome.

"A new recruitment process should be considered." Justin Burns replied.
He was one of the few that were representing NWU.

"New Zealandia has no recruitment program, but in one year of it's existence we've hit 80 nations. We normally get new members from those viewing our international incidents who wish to take part, and those from New Zealand."

Connors listens to the delegations. "For those who are in fact successful in gathering nations, what do you all think the nations look for most? I was hoping to create a standard process for recruitment that can benefit us all."

"The Confederation is growing, as it brings in about 2-3 new nations per month (our current size is around 115). Several nations send out recruitment TG's - I, for example, have a 1.2% conversion rate, which is quite high, but then the telegrams that I send out are not exactly conventional. I feel that to stand out, you need a telegram that is different to all the others that are sent out - you need to stand out."

Yeah, recruitment in TC is relatively high on the priority list, but the best way to have successful recruitment is to have a lot of stuff to do (so you have tons to offer) make sure you tell the recipient just HOW MUCH you have to do, give them all of the positives and tell them why they should choose you and not the other guy that sent them a recruitment TG

Make sure you get your region active as that is definitely a good way to interest other nations and ensure that they will be accepting to all new nations (if you see someone join in and get an 'eff off you scrawny prat' thats not gonna interest you now is it?) Make sure you are involved in a lot of interregional politics and summits (there are many throughout the year you just have to get some connections to get into them) the more influence your region has the quicker it grows

Make sure you have an appealing WFE as that is another thing that potential recruits will check out, its basically a big picture of what your region is, for example: if it has a "to be written later" your region pretty much doesn't exist or its new; if it has a nice long list of activities and offices and stuff like that then your region is a region for participation (but it can be overwhelming to see at times); if you have a bunch of links to different pages pertaining to your region it can be appealing and send the message that you care about your region and want to see it grow

Make sure your regional purpose is public (for example: The Confederation's purpose is to provide an accepting safe-haven for those who were not accepted elsewhere) and that it is one that will draw positive attention to your region and in turn more migrants

Thats basically all I have to tell you about getting your population to grow as quickly as possible, any other questions feel free to TG me or one of my region's representatives who are present (they'll hand you off if they aren't sure of how to answer the question)
