"The time is now. This is not a matter you can skirt the edges of, especially given the announcement made by Ilsan newspapers just moments ago."

Mipax glanced around. "We need investigatory teams on the ground now. Before Belle Ilse en Terre can affect the evidence."

[Thuzbekistan]

A message arrives at the league from the People's Republic of Thuzbekistan:

"Thuzbekistan condemns the actions of Belle Ilse En Terre and offers our greatest sympathies to the Lortik victims. In this act of oppression, the Ilse has shown it is incapable of empathy or reason. Regardless of alleged ties to shock, the treatment of the Lortik is too oppressive and evil to be ignored. We cannot in good faith not offer our assistance to any league sanctioned actions. If the league needs assistance in any way, thuzbekistan is willing to help. If not by military aid, then by accepting Lortik refugees."

[Athara Magarat]

"Ah yes. The Lortik refugees. Our reports indicate at least 40,000 people would attempt to seek asylum if this crisis is not solved with addrressing the actual problem that started it. The League reports might also come to that conclusion as well."

[Menna Shuli]

"The University of Shuhakallu has compiled a short-list of forensic anthropologists to aid in the investigation as quickly as possible, but we will obviously need more than skeletal experts..."

[Polar Svalbard]

Stephanie smiled, "Polar Svalbard will be more than willing to assist with both Peacekeepers and will naval vessels in conjunction with our fellow MSTO allies. Furthermore the Svalbardian University at Alta will be more than willing to send experts to assist those sent by our friends from Menna Shuli."

[Menna Shuli]

"With the Ilsan declaration of victory and their following legislation, how does the League want to move forward?"

[Weinam]

"The new President of Weinam would like to offer repayments to the nation of Belle Ilse en Terre for the conflict undertaken by the previous administration of Weinam. Weinam would also like to begin investigations relating to the discovery of SHOCK terrorists among the population of the Lortiks. Finally there is the matter of the small remaining Lortik natives currently seeking refuge and health care within the borders of Weinam, are they to return home or is it deemed too dangerous to consider such an action".

[Corindia]

"Regardless of the nation of Weinam's clear dereliction of human rights, the League must not accept this as fait accompli."

[Belle Ilse en Terre]

“Perhaps the timely victory should be accepted.”

(OOC: Shall we do something about this? What can I do?)

[Menna Shuli]

(OOC: There is nothing we can do that you don't want to happen. You have the last word on the matter. Frankly, this completely destroys everything about out conversations here in the League up until this point other than maybe the investigation team. Personally, the only way I can see to rectify this is to send in the investigation team and work out what they find and how that interacts. I'm pretty salty over this because I feel like our time was wasted. We really should have been told before voting on a resolution what your plans were.)

"The war has been completed, less so the accusations of Genocide. We still must send the investigators."

[New Totzka]

The Totzkan delegate, Jayashri Nirupama, discretely slipped into the chamber and took his position, flanked by a few aides. The New Totzkan Union had failed to send a delegate to the League since President Korrapati had been forced from office four years ago. During the interim the chaotic office politics of the Amero administration had meant the Bureau of Foreign Affairs had failed to find anyone loyal and compliant enough to represent the Union. Jayashri was eventually given the position by the director of the Bureau herself, who had been raised in the same Academia de Vie as Jayashri. She remembered him as nervous, untalented child and his lacklustre career within the bureau suggested little had changed. Jayashri cut an unimpressive figure, he was a stick thin individual with pasty skin and sunken eyes that were rimmed red and underlined with thick bags. Someone had given him a gaudy green suit to wear which looked expensive, but it hung off his frame suggesting a tailor had not been involved in it's purchase. An observant viewer might notice the delegate's tendency to wince when others spoke. He sat down silently, hunched his body forward, crossed his arms tightly and stared around at the other delegates.

[Weinam]

Chi rose to her feet and nodded to the room. "Members of the League. The Weinamese government announced this morning that it has captured a key member of the SHOCK terrorist group during an in-depth counter-terrorist operation. The individual has been confirmed as Bokhim Khangba, a known SHOCK lieutenant who resided and operated within the Mesder and Argus regions. Weinam is currently undergoing interrogations with Khangba as part of an undisclosed operation, but I ask the League whether Weinam is to hand over the individual to an international agency given the nature and geography of this groups activities".

[Athara Magarat]

"We handed Lilimhang Lekhongwalong to the ICJ. I believe you should do the same, especially if the man in question is a Speaker. But then again, honorable delegate, this is entirely your nation's matter."

[Ainslie]

"You are fully within your sovereign right to prosecute by yourself, but keep in mind now that you've brought this to the League's attention, it will be watched closely by the governments of the Isles. However, you are also able to refer it to the ICJ, although it would be wise to ask the court whether terrorism is within its jurisdiction."

[Verona Beach]

"It is good to see a communist nation bucking the trend and striving to work with international bodies. It is Verona Beach's national policy that international terrorism be prosecuted internationally, and it is thus Verona Beach's prerogative that international terrorism be defined in a resolution as part of the ICJ's jurisdiction."

[Dormill and Stiura]

Roger Van Adrichem walked back into the empty Assembly Chamber, it has been a good while since the League was back in session after the issue of the Lotriks was elevated to the courts. He briefly sat in his seat, still marked for the Honorable Ambassador of the United Republics even though had hadn't sat in it for months now. A few days ago, Dyson's "Triple Alliance" as the media has come to affectionately call it announced to the Isles of a plot most foul, the Communist government of Thuzbekistan and the President of Samudera, Justuva Susanto, a member of Samudera's Socialist Party, knowingly and covertly aided and supplied the Orsandian terror army, the People's Liberation Front. Van Adrichem's job was now to rally the League to punish both Samudera and Thuzbekistan to the limits of international law, laws which unfortunately remains a topic of debate among scholars in the Western Isles. Regardless, Dyson made it clear to every person under the effect of the Ministry of State that punishing these "rogue states" was of their top priority. Internal communications with the United Republics' ambassadors abroad have already indicated positive talks with both Prime Minister Crassus Gais of Covonant and the Miklanian President on the issue.

He stood up from his seat and began to walk for the door just as Secretary-General Sveihl Nikhal walked in. "Mr. Secretary-General, I didn't expect you to be here."

"Well, when your government decides to condemn a pair of nations without the League, I felt that somebody would be back to get the rest of us involved."

"Perceptive, no wonder you're the one in that special chair of yours." Van Adrichem replied, chuckling mildly.

Svehil took the joke favorably, and the two continued to talk for a few moments more before the Republican lodged the important question.

"Do you think you can call the rest of the Assembly into session?"

"I don't think it's impossible, assuming people aren't already on their way after that announcement, but I can expedite that process if it's critical for you."

"Well appreciated, Mr. Secretary-General, I'll need a few hours to prepare my arguments so you don't have to be exceptionally urgent."

[Samudera]

Saraswati sat nervously in her chair. After receiving frantic calls from back home, she wasn't comfortable at all with current situation. But her order was clear enough, and she won't disappoint her mother nation. No matter what.

[Ostehaar]

Updates regarding the Origins of the Orsandian War was the title written on the batch of files Tomas Jeh Maalder carried with him to his office in the International District. He had just finished a call with the Minister, who updated him on delegate Van Adrichem's intention to finally bring the issue to the League. "Any Oster involvement would naturally color this matter anti-Thuzbek to begin with," she told him. Shame, he thought. He wanted to be the one to lead.

These files would be handed over to the rest of the delegates when the session will start. With the much accurate information and sources - so Tomas assumed - there would be very few objections from most nations. But nothing in The Western Isles comes easy, he knew. He and many other Oster representatives would probably have to tour the isles and persuade governments. He was ready to do that.

...But let's start here, first. In the League.

[Weinam]

Chi walked back into the assembly with an armful of files and reports. She somehow manged to drop a note on the desk of the Samuderan delegate instructing them to contact the Weinam Foreign Office ASAP before she made her way to her seat and began to organize herself. After a few moments she rose from her seat and turned to the Secretary-General, coughing to clear her throat.

"Mr Secretary-General, members of the assembly. It is my duty to inform you that since Thuzbekistan is not within the assembly of the League, Weinam has agreed to mediate between Thuzbekistan and the League during this process as Thuzbekistan's closest ally and international friend".

[Dormill and Stiura]

Van Adrichem came back into the Assembly hall after assembling his own papers and consulting his allies both internationally and at home, he was prepared to hit both nations ferociously. It was convenient for him that he had sat down as soon as Chi begun to speak her case.

"Well, it makes my life easier to know that the Thuzbeks still have friends in the international community. And I do hope that cooler heads can prevail as we assess the facts of the situation." he began, not standing to get his point across yet.

"Presented before this assembly are declassified documents from the United Republics' Bureau of Special Intelligence, Ostehaar's Foreign Ministry, and Orsandia's Foreign Ministry that detail the buildup to the recent conflict plaguing the otherwise peaceful and productive member of the international community. These documents also detail the facts behind the involvement of the People's Republic of Thuzbekistan and the President of the Federated Islands of Samudera in the arming, training, coordination, and support of the communist revolutionary terror organization known as the People's Liberation Front.

The United Republics, in light of these undeniable and indefensible acts of violation against both international norms and treaties, would wish to propose a resolution to this Assembly to officially condemn the governments of both Thuzbekistan and Samudera, levy sanctions against their trade, and demand their governments to cease involvement in the hostilities and provide apologies and reparations towards the United Kingdom of Orsandia for all damages inflicted against their nation. Until this, the United Republics and her allies shall act as if these accused nations are belligerent powers, however, the United Republics shall not consider a state of war to exist between our nations unless no satisfactory solution can be reached by this Assembly."

[Polar Svalbard]

The Secretary General nodded to both the delegates from Weinam and Dormill Stiura.

"Delegates I am glad all of you were able to make it back so soon, even though the League's Recess was not over. The matters brought forth by Mr. Adrichem are quite pressing and should be taken very seriously."

Sveihl looked towards the Weinamese delegate, "While I appreciate that you will be representing Thuzbekistan, I will still be requesting that they send a diplomat to speak for them. While they do not have an actual seat there, they should still be allowed to converse with this matter that affects them."

"Now that all of you have the documents procured by Ostehaar and Dormill and Stiura I will open discussion on this. Hopefully the Thuzbekistan government will send one of their own to represent them, but until then I am sure that Weinam will do their best to represent their case to this assembly."
