Stephanie looked at the Corindi delegate, "My friend, know that you will always have the support of the MSTO. Whether it comes a day late, or a month it would come for you."

Stephanie flicked through the pages laid out before her, "I believe though that with all this excitement of the drone strike, and the EUSR, we have wandered a way from a topic that has been nipping at our heels for the past couple months. The possible genocide in Moukere."

She looked to the delegate from the EUSR.

[Corindia]

"Forgive me if I implied there was doubt among the Corindi that our allies would support us, we trust them implicitly. I was merely acknowledging our resolve and ability to defend ourselves, which has not waned since our entry as a Peace Partner."

[Ventlimer]

"I was hoping this wouldn't be brought up again until more evidence was brought to bare."

[Ainslie]

Callum Parkes looked at the Svalbardian delegate and was visibly agitated at the accusation of ignorance.

"May I outline to the delegates that it is true that Ainslie is not pleased by this merger and frankly we believe that it's time to closely monitor the nation, but we need to take this merger as an opportunity to redefine and renegotiate. None of us are wanting wars, and our nation sees this as a new possibility to end one."

[Ventlimer]

The Ventlimian delegate stood.

"Gentlemen, a statement from my president."

Once they were listening, he read it aloud.

"It has come to my attention that two aggressive ideologies have unified under a single party and government. The puppets of tyranny which mascaraed as nations have also unified their military commands at a time when war is being fought because of New Aapelistan and its defeated allies. My feelings regarding this, of course, should be made clear: We will not recognize this union as legitimate in any manner. It shall be the opinion of our nation that their union will be the undoing of their homelands or, alternatively, the ruin of the region. I assure you that the former is far more likely than the latter and made ever more likely by the strong friendship of nations which oppose such aggressive ideologies as Authoritarian Communism. Today, I signed an executive order which bans all trade with these nations. Let this be the first step in defense of Ventlimer's position on communism."

[Tectonix]

Ambassador Entemont read through his folder, before asking, "to the Ventlimian delegate, I ask whether they propose for this chamber to revoke its recognition of the EUSR, per their provided statements."

[Athara Magarat]

No, it would not even have a meaning. The EUSR would be voted against by a majority....It's not like Athara Magarat care about this new communist union or anything. Dear Lord, why do you keep on estranging us from our brothers and sisters. Why do kith and kin have to be enemies?

"I agree with the Ambassador from Tectonix." Ramesh nodded. "The ones who do not want to recognize EUSR should put forth a proposal."

[Ventlimer]

"I do not have instruction regarding the requirement of other nations to revoke recognition of this union. I also believe that proposing a resolution would give the union too much credit and an informal kind of recognition. However, Ventlimer would support a resolution barring any representatives from this union as a banned nation is a part of the union. To that end, I will seek permission to write a Resolution to be voted on."

[Athara Magarat]

"Then let this be done in the democratic way. Delegates, you say you are afraid of the EUSR's undemocratic ways but you shy away from the democratic process of seeing if this union should be recognized or not? I fail to see the logic behind this." Ramesh was amused; he was smiling for the first time in a while; after the fiasco his nation had.

"If not, then, Athara Magarat would like to put forth a resolution."

Resolution 3: The Barring of Representatives from the Eastern Union of Socialist Republics
The Assembly of the League of the Western Isles

Recognizing that New Aapelistan and Bhikkustan have entered into a political union which enlarges already existing conflicts and presents the liklihood of further conflict;

Understanding that this League has formally banned New Aapelistan in the past;

Concerned that New Aapelistan is at the head of this union despite its aggressive behavior;

Noting that Bhikkustan has entered into this union with an aggressive nation;

Hereby:
1. Removes Bhikkustan as a member of the League of Nations;
2. Forbids any representatives from the Eastern Union of Socialist Republics from partaking in the League;
3. Mandates that the league does not recognize the Eastern Union of Socialist Republics as a sovereign entity;

"Mr. Chairman, after careful consideration, Tectonix is in support of this resolution. As a warning to any delegates that may wish to block this resolution by other means that are not voting, I remind them that I am well-versed in parliamentary procedure, and will use all of my knowledge and strength to prevent this resolution from being derailed on its path to a democratic vote."

[The Grand Force]

Zachary stood up
''Seeing the aggressive movements by North Aapelistan in the past and continuing and in firm belief that by this union will only spawn more aggression The Grand Force hereby supports this resolution.''

[Athara Magarat]

"Nay. Athara Magarat is against the resolution." Ramesh was the first to speak against the resolution. "We stand with our cousins in Bhikkustan and New Aapelistan and it is their right to form what their citizens want."

[Tectonix]

Entemont shook his head in solemn apprehension. "Ambassador Ramesh, consider this situation thusly — the EUSR's New Aapelistan is very close to Tectonix. With this proximity, coupled with the nation's notoriously aggressive history and military build-up, it is not a stretch of the imagination for the EUSR to consider our nation as a target. As both of our nations being members of the CU, such an action would have an incredibly large impact on your nation's economy, along with the entire CU economy. Do you really desire for your economic fate to be tied to this unstable, aggressive nation?"

[Athara Magarat]

"I understand your words, Mr Entemont. Athara Magarat is a responsible member of the League and the CU. And I know you all would expect us to speak against the EUSR and the National Assembly is speaking against the EUSR and trying to cut off relations but this union was created by the choice of their people; and the people's power is more dangerous than any nuclear weapon."

"Is it wrong to recognize a union formed by the will of their people. Is it wrong to wish that your kith and kin in some other nation can be your friend despite ideological difference? Is it wrong for us Athara Magaratis to embrace the decision our Bhikkustani and Aprosian cousins?"

"Hence our answer is no to this proposal. We will say no as long as the Bhikkustani and Aprosian people support their union."

[Tectonix]

Entemont frowned. "The democratic decision of these people is something I would call into question, though there is really no way of proving either or. Your opinion is understood by your Tectonixian allies, Ambassador Ramesh, whether we agree with it or not."

[Athara Magarat]

"And it is not my personal decision, Mr Entemont. I am just a mere representative of my people and government." Ramesh sighed. "No matter the difference, Bhikkustanis and Athara Magaratis still migrate to and fro and inter-marry with each other. Believe me, there are more Athara Magarati students in New Aapelistan than any other nation; even CU nations or neighboring Atnaia and Miklania. What we do not want is for our long historic and cultural relation to be gone just because of a proposal. What we do not want is for our families to be torn apart. I hope you understand."

"Because in the end, we all are humans and most of us want to live in harmony with each other."

"Then again, there are those who would logically argue that the recognition of the EUSR would lead to more problems and destruction, which does not seem far-fetched. But to early to say anything."

[Bhikkustan]

Entemont frowned. "The democratic decision of these people is something I would call into question, though there is really no way of proving either or. Your opinion is understood by your Tectonixian allies, Ambassador Ramesh, whether we agree with it or not."

Thaksin laughed softly, allowing his hidden frustration at how this had gone down.

"I assure you, any doubts you may harbour are misguided. A referendum was held in both nations. This was a democratic decision. And from the anger and attempts to act against us that have been shown, I believe that they prove the necessity of this union. I thank brother Ramesh for your diplomatic views and not joining in on this commie bashing that achieves little. While our politics may differ, know that our nations stand together. Also, a warning to those who would try and remove their recognition of our new nation. There shall be repercussions against those who impede the democratic will of the east."

[Corindia]

"Do try to remember that the two of you aren't the only nations in 'The East'."

[Ainslie]

Parkes was suprised by the agression of the other delegates.

"We stand with the delegate from Athara Magarat on this one. If we remove them from the league it will only estrange and exclude them. Many times we've seen where this has led in all spheres of our lives. If you want change in EUSR, this is not the way to do it. We need league sanctioned negotiations. This ejection is too fast of a response, even for nations who are as aggressive as New Aapelistan. The league must be neutral, it should not be a beacon for hastily formed national agendas - but rather neutral ground in which we can discuss and advance and take things slowly. Fellow delegates, this is not the way. We also take offence to the direct threat from the delegate from Tectonix. May I point out that we do not truly know what the EUSR will do yet."

[Belle Ilse en Terre]

"O, I daresay we missed quite a bit", said a dapper Englishman to a monk and a Frenchman with an exceptional moustache. They went to Belle Ilse en Terre's spot and sat, whence all three listened attentively.

[Ventlimer]

"Parkes, I do not believe you understand the situation. New aapelistan has been an extremely aggressive nation. They transferred nuclear weapons to other nations, are in the process of invading another as we speak, and attacked yet another without provocation. On top of this, New Aapelistan is already banned from the league. So, since they are at the head of this union, it should automatically be banned."

"And yes, removing them from the league will isolate them. That is the point. We are attempting to limit their influence because they are s dangerous entity which seeks nothing but the expansion of their ideology. This is proven by the actions New Aapelistan has taken and by the fact that Bhikkustan is now a participant in those actions. But, if you wish to play nice with a prowling bear that looks for a fight at every corner? Well that is your deal. But that is not what the league is built for."

He then turned to the bhikkustani delegate. "Threatening other nations for not doing what you want?" He shook his head. "You see, Parkes, this is who you are defending."

[The Grand Force]

''Democratic will of the East? What is this guy a play write?'' Zachary whispered to himself
''Delegates we have removed New Aapelistan before and recognizing this new entity would give it a way to reenter the League making the decision to remove it obsolete. It pains me to say this but I have been told by my superiors that The Grand force is cutting all trade and communication with both members of the EUSR.'' He said aloud to the other delegates.

[Ainslie]

"May I point out that I am not necessarily defending them. I'm seeking to retain some order and civility here in a situation which appears to be intense commie bashing. I'm just saying that we should wait out until we have a clearer view of the EUSR before implementing such extreme measures. Excuse me, honourable delegate. The League is designed for interaction and conversation, not nationshaming. "

[Ventlimer]

"Here you will find no commie bashing, dear delegate. You will find us discussing this entities past and disallowing it recognition."

"Also, the league has a charter that defines what it is and lays out punishments for aggressive nations like New Aapelistan. Its not just meant as a place to chat, but as a force of good. If you think that New Aapelistan deserves a seat at this table, you by no means understand the purpose of it."
