"The Roendavarian delegation's position on Resolution No. 19 is overwhelmingly positive. The League was created in order for cooperation and unity to be fostered in the Western Isles, therefore, all must have a seat and be welcomed in this organization. It is time for Aprosia to be welcomed back to the League with open arms and let them have a voice in international matters, regardless of what they stand for." Thelacaliesti Marius declared.

"As for the situation on Mokov, while we respect the sovereignity of nations, the situation is definitely concerning. However, with no League Resolution put forth on the matter, we cannot comment."

"As delegates have already usurped League procedures, the League will now intervene. It is in the League's judgement to halt discussions on the situation on Mokov and voting and discussions on Resolution No. 19 to commence immediately.

Resolution No. 19 is as follows by the Republic of Segentova,

Resolution #19

Acknowledging the steps made by the Aprosian People's Democratic Union to liberalize their economy and improve their ties with other nations through trade and diplomacy.
Recognizing the new-found interest of the APDU-government in a non-interventionist and diplomacy-based foreign-policy.

The league of The Western Isles hereby:
1. Repeals resolution 4 which excluded the Aprosian People's Democratic Union from the participation in the League of the Western Isles.
2. Formally, in good faith, invites the APDU to participate as a full member of the league once again.

Tabled to the league by the Republic of Segentova on the 01.12.2020

As discussions and affirmations were expressed earlier, these shall be counted. The following delegations have expressed their affirmations and will count as a yes vote due to the disorder in the chamber, unless they are willing to contest or retract their statements:

There are have been no dissenting opinions so far. Voting on this resolution shall continue until December 3, 2020. If dissenting opinion shall be put forth, voting will be suspended in order for discussions to have a go ahead.

With the topic of entrance of the Mokovi delegate, this is not the place for delegates to seek recognition from other states. Delegates of the League come from already recognized legitimate states, and seeing as you lack any recognition, you are an illegitimate delegate for now. Return once your nation has the specific requirements. It would also do well to not threaten this chamber. If you wish to defend your nation in discussions, I would advise you to wait until a resolution is put forth or you are given the go ahead. Please remove yourself from the chamber or we will have to call security."

MICHELLE HAYWOOD, WFM: ”On behalf of Prime Minister Clarence Brooks, the Elder Council, and people of Wachovia — I bring greetings.

Over the last 72 hours, we all have bore witness to the dichotomy which has existed in the Isles for decades. Two worlds - two ideals – and two motives, which have consistently proven one thing: There are nations who think of themselves as governors of the world, and those who must comply with their will or be cut out of the international community. This reality is evident by the issues presently facing the League. One, the re-admittance of Aprosia into the League after the nation was ejected sometime ago. The other, an attempt to claim their place at this table of diplomacy on part of Mokov, whose regime change has been a point of contention on the floor of this assembly. Apart, they are unrelated events - the story of the prodigal son returning home, and of a problem child whose siblings are calling for the harshest penalty: Sanctions, if not war. Together, however, they are the latest display of a trend in the international politics of the Isles: Join the Argean Sea diplo-economic order or be castrated..”

”The Republic of Wachovia stands firm in our belief in the principles of self-determination, peace, and international cooperation - but not on terms set by a select few. We vote in favor of Resolution 19, and issue this warning: Unwarrented intervention in Mokov will have long lasting and negative effects for the region.”

"Corindia reaffirms its vote in favor of Resolution 19"

Helen Steuben, Representative of the Republic of Biaten to the League of The Western Isles, stood from her chair.

"Madam Secretary-General, we concur with this League's opinion on the recent situation in Mokov, which is looking bleaker each day, and urge this military government that has placed itself at the helm to allow for free, democratic elections and step down immediately afterwards. Let me emphasise that if any Biatenian in Mokov is harmed by or with the approval of this military junta, we will not hesitate to take severe action in retaliation and for the protection of our people. Additionally, should this League, or any of its members, seek to establish a mission to evacuate non-Mokovī from Mokov, then the Republic of Biaten would gladly contribute towards and participate in such a mission.

As for Aprosia, we believe that prohibiting a nation to join this League only weakens international cooperation and the League itself, and so we will vote in favour of Resolution 19."

Wellsia supports the return of Aprosia to the League.
We also feel that we recall the Mokovi and set up a means to have the Tsarina and Tsarivitch safely escort from Mokova to any nation they wish to go.

"The period of voting for Resolution No. 19 has surpassed. Here are the results as follows: 15 for, 1 abstain, and 0 against. With this, Resolution No. 19 hereby passes. Resolution No. 4 is officially repealed. The Aprosian People's Democratic Union is formally welcomed into the League and a delegate from them shall be expected in the near future." Cirasephona declares. "Let this be a testament to the League's commitment in cooperation and discussion."

[New Aapelistan]

As the Assembly doors open, a delegation consisting of aides and the designated Ambassador enter the chamber. The ambassador, with dark hair swept to the side and a dark blue suit decorated with small party congress badges, leads his delegation to their place in the Assembly. Following the Resolution 19 and the Secretary-General welcoming an Aprosian delegation to the League after several years, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Aprosian People's Democratic Union had assigned this man, Danír Madeiném (M), as the Ambassador of Aprosia to the League.

Upon their seats, Danír placed a few important papers from his case on the table and a pen beside them, purposefully placing it straight next to the papers. Lifting his gaze from the papers towards the Assembly and bowing slightly to the Assembly and its members, before beginning to speak in his slightly accented, monotonous voice, stereotypical to a party official.

"The Aprosian People's Democratic Union and its Federal Government offer their gratitude to the League and its member nations regarding the passing of the Resolution 19 of the League. I am Danír Madeiném", bowing once again after saying his name, "the representative of Aprosia for now. It is a pleasure to be here among you.

After the rather concise statement of the first Aprosian representative in the League in five years, all members of the delegation take their seats, ready and prepared.

"A great injustice has been undone! We welcome you, delegate!"

[Havalland]

Sebastian rose to begin speaking.
“Ladies and gentlemen heed my word as I am the voice of my king, we have come to the decision to submit a formal resolution. Havalland refuses to do nothing it’s not in our nature, so we shall fight the hateful Regimentalist regime, we will fight them in the league chambers, we will fight them in the media, and if we must we will fight on the seas and on the beaches... Havalland will never surrender to hate... so I, Knight Paladin Sebastian Winters wish to put forward resolution 20!”

Resolution #20

Recognizing the danger that the Regimentalist government occupying Mokov poses to not only the Mesder Sea but to the whole region and enforcing appropriate actions against them,
Recognizing that such a hateful and racist ideology has no place in the international community nor the Western Isles.


The League of the Western Isles hereby!
1. Denounces the Regimentalist government in Mokov.
2. Enforces an international sanction upon Mokov.
3. Encourage an international embargo upon the regime
4. Bars the Regimentalist regime in Mokov from the league until further notice.

"Not recognizing them is one thing. But what reason do we have to make the people of Mokov suffer through an embargo?"

[Havalland]

“This is why I suggested to encourage an embargo it wouldn’t be mandatory, plus if we hat to havalland would gladly attempt a humanitarian aid effort we would also open our borders to refugees although we would have to comb groups for spies we are willing to take them in and give an opportunity to these refugees.”

[Shanzie]

"While the situation is alarming, sanctions are an extreme measure. We can refuse to recognize them. But sanctions? That hurts no one but the people."

[Havalland]

“Well their own government is going to hurt them worse than anything we do in this assembly, I am concerned for the people as well but I refuse to sit by and be the good man doing nothing... letting bodies pile up and evil triumph as we sit on our hands too afraid to intervene because you don’t want to make the toughest decisions, a slap on the wrist won’t be enough for these Extremists!”
sebastian put a lot of emotion into these speeches he seemed truly passionate about going against this ideology and in true Havallish fashion he was a stubborn fighter.

[Ainslie]

"Whilst we did abstain from Resolution 19, we are very pleased to see the Aprosians return to the chamber. Welcome, delegate Madeiném. It has been a long time since we have seen a delegate from your country and we wish you the best in your time here.

As a matter of technicality concerning resolution 20, I must say that it is not standard procedure to have an exclamation mark after the word 'hereby' in resolutions.

As for the resolution's material points - what sanctions are being proposed by the delegate from Havalland? What is the extent and length of the embargo against the regime that is desired by the delegate? As we have just seen with the passage of Resolution 19, banning a country from the League too hastily can be an isolating and exclusionary move - it only adds more evidence, more justification to what the self-declared government of Mokov is in the streets trying to tell its people in order to legitimise their actions. Further if we were to ban the Regimentalist regime, what does 'further notice' mean? What mechanisms would we use to review their barring or would we leave it to a less formal assessment such as we saw in Resolution 19?

Beyond that, there are the concerns and ramifications for Ahnslen sovereignty that this resolution poses. However, first it is integral that we understand what exactly this resolution is trying to do and just how much power on a national level is going to be limited by it.

In its current form, Ainslie cannot and will not support this resolution both at a domestic and international level."

[Segentova]

Hugo leaned into the microphone, taking the word "First of all, I would like to issue a warm welcome to the APDU-delegate from the Segentovan Delegation on behalf of our government here in the League. Segentova will never forget the contribution your people made to Jacob George Rémy's expedition. I sincerely hope this can be the start of pleasant relations between our two nations."
He paused and had a sip of water, refocusing his attention on the Ahnslen delegate after setting the glass back on the table.
"The Segentovan delegation agrees with what monsieur. Kerslie has to say. Though the spirit of resolution #20 is commendable, we find it's stated goals not to have been delineated clearly enough. A more concise set of points would be needed for us to support this resolution, however reprehensible the GZR government may be. That having being said, our delegation wishes to carry forwards with talks on how this resolution can be improved and potentially ratified."

[Havalland]

“We suggest economic and diplomatic sanctions and we bar them until they allow a free and fair election, as for isolating them that’s kinda the point it’s clear to me you understand what the ideology it cannot be allowed to spread, if want to do nothing about this cancer then how can you call yourself a defender of peace or human rights?”

[Aizcona]

The Estral delegate shook his head for a second looking bewildered as it sounded like the Havallish delegate just had a stroke, "What are these diplomatic sanctions you speak of? How far are you willing to go to isolate a nation of people due to your own lofty standards? Which I will say confuse my government as your nation has an unelected monarch that has control over politics. When did you last elect your king?"'

They swept their hands in front of them, "This is a uniquely Mokovi ideology that is unlikely to spread anywhere outside of itself. The Estral government does not believe it to be a threat to anything other than itself. And at the end of the day, it did look quite like a popular uprising. Who are we to dictate the government of other peoples? That is a large step for the League to breach sovereignity."

[Havalland]

The Havallish delegate coughed a bit seeming to be coming down with something
“Havalland is different a tyrannical King can be deposed within a day by the parliament which is made up of vassals and elected representatives, we may not be the most democratic nation but we are still free. Also the GZR is openly racist and extremely dangerous!”

[Aizcona]

Feeling like the Havallish delegate was backpedaling the Estral delegate pressed in, "And are these vassals elected? Who decides when a king becomes tyrannical? Did the Mokovi not just depose a king that the people were unhappy with? Furthermore, in what way are they extremely dangerous? We Aizconans are the closest nation to them and we are not fearful. The only thing that feels dangerous to us is the League casting stones in our backyard. This sounds like your nation is projecting itself onto Mokov and wishes to take out a scapegoat for itself."
