[The League of TWI]

"Since we have already surpassed the period designated for nomination, elections have now begun. The candidates for the position of Deputy Secretary General are as follows:

Candidate 1: Professor Alexandre Darcy Paquet, nominated by The Commonwealth of Segentova
Candidate 2: Ms. Erika Lewis-Smith, nominated by the Republic of Littolyo

All endorsements that have already been given are considered and counted. The election for the position of Deputy Secretary General shall last for 7 days and will end on November 17, 2020. The candidate with the most votes by then will be declared as the Deputy Secretary General."

Mason Tanabal slowly stood up and looked out over the assembly. Pulling is tunic straight, with his deep gravely voice he spoke. “Gentlemen and ladies, I apologize for not being here for the election of the Secretary General and offer my and Wellsia’s congratulations to al-Fel Refihhlia. For Deputy Secretary General, Wellsia supports Professor Paquet from Segentova.

Naty O̦cenharemedy briefly looked up from his papers. "Nhoor, too, supports Professor Paquet for Deputy Secretary General".

"We to continue the train of support for Professor Paquet."

[Littolyo]

Ambassador Trindl takes the dais. “We could not be more proud to cast our vote for Erika Lewis-Smith of Littolyo.”

"The Republic of Biaten will vote for the candidate from Littolyo, Erika Lewis-Smith."

Ambassador Shenjin Magano of Shidei patiently awaits his turn. Pushing up his wire-rimmed glasses he addresses the room, a rare departure from his normally tacit behavior.
"It is my pleasure to announce support for the Honorable Ms. Erika Lewis-Smith of Littolyo." He then leans back, gaze sweeping across the room as the delegates continue to vote.

“The Aguanist Monarchy of San Jimenez casts its vote enthusiastically for Ms. Erika Lewis-Smith of Littolyo.”

Maria Toussant of the Union of Central Argus spoke clamly and softly, "the Glorious Sovereign Union of Central Argus will cast it's vote for the candidate of the Republic of Segentova. The historic ties between our great nations cannot be ignored."

[Roendavar]

Lord Marius pondered on the current nominees for the position of Deputy Secretary General. Ugh. Why does it have to be these two nations? Segentova is way off our beliefs and Littolyo... well, their actions seem suspicious. The delegate thought, rubbing his temples in disappointment and outright disbelief. A small note is slipped in front of him by one of his aides, a response from ai-Fel. Learna Thaelmeris Iscreforulien, the Minister of Foreign Relations. "NO LOL"

"The delegation of Roendavar proudly abstains from this vote."

[Ioudaia]

Representative Asteria bat Nitza stood and addressed the League. "In light of favorable diplomatic developments, Ioudaia votes for Erika Lewis-Smith of Littolyo.”

[Nurbaria]

Nurbaria does vote with confidence for the candidate offered by Littolyo.

[Corindia]

"Corindia votes for Professor Alexandre Darcy Paquet as Deputy Secretary-General"

[The League of TWI]

The Secretary-General, Cirasephona, rose from her seat, signalling the end of the voting for the Deputy Secretary-General of the League. A close match. She thought, counting the tally from her paper.

"Not counting self-votes and votes from non-members of the League, the nominee from Littolyo has received 9 votes, the nominee from Segentova has received 8 votes, and 2 has abstained.

The position of Deputy Secretary-General of the League of The Western Isles is awarded to Ms. Erika Lewis-Smith of the Republic of Littolyo.

The Secretary-General, and on behalf of the League, extends her congratulations and hopes that the leadership of the League will be dynamic and cooperative."

[Havalland]

Knight Sebastian stood from his seat after and began to speak.
“As representative of the Kingdom of Havalland I would like to call attention to Mokov, the new party in charge of mokov has raised many red flags and disturbs the order of the Mesder sea. Havalland has issued an embargo on mokov I would hope to see the rest of the international community join this embargo, I also suggest we put international sanctions on the regimentalists and perhaps even organize a blockade to enforce our sanctions, Havalland is willing to lend a significant portion of its navy for this if it is agreed upon as we believe this Hateful racist ideology to be a danger and a threat to the idea of peace.“

Sebastian sat down satisfied and hoping for support.

[Segentova]

"This is hardly going to be an easy day..." Hugo wiped his face dry and closed the faucet, he put on his glasses and checked his hair in the mirror. Stepping away from it and brushing a few drops of water off his lapels, hopefully, no one would notice or care to notice. Today was the day he would do something unthinkable? Invite a shunned nation back into the league, unthinkable. He kept his composure as he left the men's room and headed across the hall into the debating chamber, finding his seat at the front of the Segentovan Delegation. He sat down deliberately, filling his glass with water and taking a sip, deliberating on what he was going to say. Sighing, he pressed the button to activate his microphone and leaned closer to it after he was given the signal to speak. "My dear colleagues, I wish to inform you that the Segentovan delegation wishes to discuss the possibility of renewed membership for the Aprosian People's Democratic Union. It's clear to us all that dialogue is the way forward in diplomacy, and excluding a nation from it will bring us nowhere in the quest for peace and stability. I hereby present this resolution to bring the APDU back into the international community, by allowing for their representation in the league"

Resolution #19

Acknowledging the steps made by the Aprosian People's Democratic Union to liberalize their economy and improve their ties with other nations through trade and diplomacy.
Recognizing the new-found interest of the APDU-government in a non-interventionist and diplomacy-based foreign-policy.

The league of The Western Isles hereby:
1. Repeals resolution 4 which excluded the Aprosian People's Democratic Union from the participation in the League of the Western Isles.
2. Formally, in good faith, invites the APDU to participate as a full member of the league once again.

"Thank you for your time." Hugo then slouched back in his seat, looking nervously across the room, he felt like he had just been caught swearing in the middle of mass.

[Littolyo]

Ambassador Trindl felt confident in the path forward, but she fired off a brief text to President Drake and Secretary of State Strivers, summarizing the two proposals put forth by Havalland and Segentova. The three were in agreement, and Trindl signaled that she would like to speak. Recognized by the presiding officer, she offered Littolyo's support:

"The Republic of Littolyo would support an embargo against the fascist regime in Mokov, although we cannot at this time commit to the step of supporting a blockade. On Resolution 19 brought by Segentova, in light of President Drake's policy that every nation is worthy of dialogue, Littolyo would support the resolution to invite Aprosia back into this critical forum."
