With a Category 4 Cyclone anticipated to strike Eastern Bhumidol within the next 12 hours, and extensive rioting occuring in parts of Western Bhumidol, the national government has ordered the nation to be closed for the next 168 hours, until stability is re-ascertained and the situation begans to clear.

More information can be found in Bhumidol's last two news dispatches at the following link.

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=337003&start=25

This thread serves to answer any and all questions foreign governments may pose to our nation on the situation. Our nation is very candid about our policies, and all questions will be answered to the best of our knowledge by the BFAAI (Bhumhalese Foreign Affiars AI). This thread is also the place for nations who wish to donate or otherwise show their support to Bhumidol during this crisis.

First, there will be a period for diplomats from various assembled nations to speak their minds, and to provide input and support on the current emergency. Next, media will be given an opportunity to ask questions to various diplomats or to the BFAAI. Lastly, the conference will wrap up with personal conversations between diplomats and media. Anyone is free to enter or leave the conference whenever they wish.

Due to the volatile nature of Bhumidol at the moment, a large conference room at the International District has been arranged to handle this joint press and diplomatic conference. All media, relevant organizations, and governments are welcome, regardless of opinion on current events unfolding in Bhumidol. Diplomats in the current International Summit are also free to come, so long as it does not impede their current diplomatic work.

"The Bhumhalese Government has called for this international conference, citing concern, and interest on the current events ongoing in Bhumidol, as expressed by the international community.

I will address any and all questions any nation has. I will also confirm and direct any aid offered by other nations."

"Since Bhumidol is currently closed down, the BFAAI will be answering questions through an unarmed civilian PLD at one of the conference rooms at the Western Isles International District.

All foreign media is welcome to the event, as are foreign leaders and diplomats. There is no set time for nations and their people to arrive, however note that this conference is effective only for the next week ((in RT)) while the emergency border closing is in effect."

Jagellion does not like the way you are treating the oppressed people of bhumidol, and hereby officially recognizes The Oppressed Peoples of Free Bhumidol

The Vancouvian 1st Force dispatched from Yorkford today on course through the I.D. towards Bhumidol. No official announcement has been made by Vancouvian leadership on its intent.

The 1st Force includes the entire Vancouvian fleet less two destroyers, which remain in port. It also includes 50 squads VSF.

Several squads of VSF have already taken off in several C-130s and escort fighters, expected to reach Bhumidol airspace within a few hours.

Shancion is officially protecting the Free Bhumidol and has already rescued them. Any nation who dares to threats their safety will be considered a major threat for the Shancionian State and their presence will NOT be allowed in Shancionian soil and every connection between the countries will be unestablished.

Additionally Kefira approves action to save the free citizens, may I offer Kefira as a waypoint as Shancion is very far from Bhumidol for reloading and medical care? As we have no real military currently we would help but instead offer Kefira as a base for fleeing citizens and a waypoint for countries sending troops in. Please contact Kefira International Aid (KIA) through telegram if a nation is interested.

Jagellion has decided to change their decision. Jagellion hereby unrecognizes Free Bhumidol and will support Bhumidol.

Than Qaataq stares at his papers. "What the heck is happening! We're just hanging around while a country closes it's borders, and riots occur?" He says. "Ramussen! Get over here!" "Yes, sir!" "Bhumidol is having some problems, mail them this letter." Qaataq hands Ramussen a letter and he sends it to Bhumidol's government.
Dear, Leader.
We have heard of the current situation in your nation. Our nation would like to assist you financially. If you agree, we will send 50,000 Kryats to you.
Signed,

Than Qaatq, Leader of Greenland-Myanmar.

International Dispatch from Randmar's Department of Foreign Affairs.
The Republic of Randmar after careful debilitation has decided to maintain a wait and see attitude on the current situation. The Republic will however like to note that it will not be directing any trade sanctions towards Bhumidol nor will it not recognize any derivative governments until this incident has settled down.

We wish the best of luck to all involved and hope that regular economical activities can resume as soon as possible

Eiralis recognises the free people of Free Bhumidol, but has not yet taken any action, apparently, against Bhumidol. There is a stir, however, as Timothy Ittriche arrives as the Eiralisian ambassador with an armed escort accompanying him. He is clearly displeased with Bhumidol's policy towards its citizens, especially the restriction on their freedoms.

Our government is pleased to accept your aid! Rest assured that your aid will go to good work, as we have no malignant intentions towards our own people.

We thank you Than Qaataq, and hope future deals can be made between our two nations when stability is re-achieved.

Please, I urge your leaders not to do anything rash. The Vijyana System may be prompted to declare war on your nation if airplanes are found to be over civilian regions of Bhumidol.

I have no control over the actions of the System, as it has suspended communication with the outside world. Current protocol will not allow me to activate overdrive and contact the Vijyana System.

Coralie Jauffret, taking a break from the Second Regional Conference, took a cab across the International District to the Bhumidol Conference. She brought with her a dispatch from the Tuernian government.

"Ladies and gentlemen," she said, "I have a statement from the Tuernian Ministry of Foreign Affairs."

The Tuernian Republic is deeply concerned with the events unfolding in the nation of Bhumidol. Accusations of human rights abuses and state-sanctioned murder are very troubling, as is the potential death and destruction that may be wrought by the cyclone. Due to Bhumidol's peculiar interpretation of diplomatic immunity, we have decided to cancel our plan to send an ambassador to Bhumidol. Until such time as we can be sure of our diplomats' safety in Bhumidol, we will conduct diplomacy through the Bhumidol embassy in Theveste.

The first VSF squads have touched ground in Bhumidol, immediately making camp and hunkering down on await of reinforcements. Approximately two dozen VSF squads have been strategically airdropped into Bhumidol, scattered around the countryside near potentially key areas. Assuming radio silence, casualties, if any, are currently unable to be fully determined by Vancouvian command.

The VSF squads have a rough night ahead of them. Their foxholes have been dug and they have begun their nightly watch rotations. Able to work as a completely separate unit for extended periods of time, the VSF squads are used to this kind of combat.

Meanwhile, the Vancouvian 1st Force and its fleet has passed through the I.D. waters in great pomp and circumstance, announcing their passage with a typical Vancouvian 72 gun salute. The fleet should arrive near Bhumidol waters tomorrow.

The Vancouvian Special Forces are approached by Eiralisian Infiltration Units regarding strategy. This is their first large-scale operation, and no amount of training can quite prepare them for that. They look to Vancouvian leadership for direction; this is a cooperative effort, after all, and one learns by experience.

"Human rights abuse? What are those people talking about? Bhumidol has good intentions. We should publicly announce our support." "Good idea, sir."
A large crowd has gathered in a public speaking area. Than Qataaq steps on to a podium, flanked by two guards. "We have gathered here to announce our support of the Bhumese government. Also, we would like to announce that we are sending an additional 25,000 Kryats of financial aid to Bhumidol." The crowd cheers and Than steps down.

Rogue Nation: Vancouvia.

The System's parameters have identified your nation's military engaging in aggressive behavior within Bhumhalese territory. Based off of our speech processing indices, and past relations, we believe your nation is extremely likely to began attacking our nation and it's civilians. If your nation's military is not withdrawn from within Bhumhalese territory within the next 1 hours, or arrangements have not been made to withdraw your military, Bhumidol and it's allies will be prompted to declare war upon your nation.

The South Afrikan Reich of Vidnoye Foreign Affairs Ministry
Recognition of Free Bhumidol

The Foreign Affairs Ministry today has swiftly declined a motion to recognize The Free Bhumidol and has classified the group as a possible threat to the stability of the International Community, not to mention Bhumidol itself. The Reich extends an offer to help the Official Government of Bhumidol to help anyone displaced by the disaster or to assist in a possible strike against Free Bhumidol should the rebels decide to stand against Bhumidol

Several VSF squads have linked up with Eiralisian Infiltration Units throughout the countryside. In addition, several rebel fighters under the flag of Free Bhumidol have been scouted and surveyed by roaming squads. VSF officers on the ground hope to link up with some of these freedom fighters tomorrow morning to being a large scale revolution against the tyrannical Bhumidol A.I.

Reports by the Vancouvian Espionage Organization (VEO) over the past few days have been confirming Vancouvian citizens' hopes that a majority of the Bhumidol populace would support a revolution.

The Eiralisian carrier ENP Vili approaches Bhumidol's shores, escorted by submarines. It maintains a safe distance, but readies to launch reinforcements into Bhumidol whenever necessary, teeming with Tac Ops Units and a few Sniper Units. The Eiralisian government has yet to make a statement on the issue, but their stance seems clear.

Declaration of War!

The Vijyana System has declared a state of war against your nation and the nation of Eiralis. Both of your nation's carbon-units will be, 'released', without warning, and further plans will be made in the future to send invasion forces to neutralize each of your nation's violent tendencies. We have assembled 20,000 Army Soliders with lethal-PHASR's near our nation's metropolis'. All major cities, the Capital, and prefectoral capitals have each called upon a minimum of 4,000 lethal-PLD units to create defensive formations around each city. Around 10,000 reserves have already volunteered to defend the Capital, Yogikarta, and Mylapore.

The government of Dansawae wishes to declare neutrality on this crisis. Neither will we support economically Bhumidol AI governemt, neither will we support military the Free Bhumidol as countries as Vancouvia and Eiralis have already done. We recognize, however, Free Bhumidol as a sovereign country.
