[Latachia]

Nishkov Makanova, Prime minister of Latachia, highly comdemns the actions of the communist party. Prime minister had been granted permission from the Latachian King Henry Ivy for Military intervention in the conflict. We the granted permission Prime Minister Nishkov Makanova had talked with military leaders of Latachia to move 3,000 Army troops to the region. A carrier fleet was also dispatched to head towards the nation to use fighters to conduct Airstrikes over enemy targets. Prime Minister has also called on many allies if they would like to particapate in the conflict.

In response to the Junta takeover of Hai Jin Lao all trade, commerce, and military personnel and vehicles (including but not limited to, Civilian Air, and seacraft, Merchant trade vessels, and Medical Transits) have been effectively banned from the KDMZ. An increased KDF (Karadenian Defence Force) Presence has been placed in Amester and Tyriol to maintain the rigidity of the KDMZ and Hai Jin Lao. Any and all refugees who reach the KDMZ have been pre-approved for Political Asylum. Premier Marowinski has promised that anything that can be done to secure the Hai Jin Lao Government-in-Exiles return to power will be. Only time will tell if the Government-in-Exile will accept this help.

Battle of Hai Nan

The town of Chiangjang has been completely surrounded, and the front line to the north has been pushed further and further into the city. The Naval defenders are truly stuck between a hammer (The Army Forces to the north) and the anvil (Army Forces along the river). The town is effectively under siege, with no hope of victory unless the reserves from sanya can break through the Junta lines within the next day. The counter attack has proven to be relatively successful, it has drawn the Junta troops away from the town and given the island longer to prepare and resist the invaders.

The Hai Jin Lao Air Force (HJLAF) have covertly landed 5 brigades of paratroopers who have begun work on a defensive line around Haikou, the capital. HJLAF airforce activity has significantly increased over the city, and there are reports that HJL Paratroopers have been seen wearing CNB protective clothing. But what is certain, is that Haikou will fall unless Chiangjang holds, once the city holds the troops will full encircle Haikou.



Battle of Burma

FCAR forces launched a surprise attack on the sovereign nation of Hai Jin Lao! Although most of the border forces were able to successfully retreat and form a defensive line, many soldiers were lost in the initial assualt. FCAR air forces launched a devastating series of bombing raids, however due to the eratic maneuvers of the HJL Army, they were unable to completely scatter the forces. The border forces have formed a tight defensive line using the difficult terrain as a natural barrier. Although the main battle has yet to begin, regional command has already diverted troops from the south to ensure that FCAR forces are repelled. At this stage victory hangs in the balance, but one thing to remember is how bloody and difficult the war in Burma was during the Japanese invasion. Many are wondering whether bloodshed shall be seen on the same scale.

Specialist detection and anti-aircraft equpment have been deployed, and the HJLAF are lending their expertise to the army command in how to counter the current FCAR bombing raids.



World Assembly

The HJL diplomat arrived enraged to the assembly, before making a case against FCAR, as their bombing raids were an indiscriminate attack which left many civillians dead, and has also destroyed many agricultural areas which is likely to cause poverty and famine. HJL will not stand for this and calls on all sympathetic nations to the Junta to immediately sanction FCAR!

Admiral Zavak stood at the prow of his ship, staring off at the HJL navy with a pursed lip. His men had yet to show any signs of aggression, so he wondered why the navy was on such high alert. He turned to a crewman beside him, staring at him with Icey blue eyes.

"Make contact with the HJL, tell them that we are here to help them and require to land in order to replenish our fuel supplies." His gaze shifted back to the distant shore. "Tell them we're here to help fight the Junta, as well. I want to know where we need to strike."

As planes fly overhead in the warm air of evening in the tropics, the Central Asian troops continue to fight on.
General Daler, head of the 3rd Division, steps onto a hill and takes his binoculars. His sights were filled with explosions from the bombings. Suddenly, one of the Central Asian Planes blew up in the air, with no signs other than a slight flash. The General went down back into the rainforest immediately and calls all planes to retreat, leaving only the artilleries to bombard the enemy line.

News of the slightly unsuccessful attack arrives the President. The man takes the newspaper in disgust. Suddenly, a loud bang was heard on the door. The Minister of Space Administration and several other officials from the Central Asian Space Administration came into the room.

"Admiral, we have proceeded with an inspection, however reconissance shows a massive fleet in the Gulf of Aden, we should perhaps move our reserves north in case the force is hostile. If they are preparing for an invasion they are likely to take out the patrol vessels and sailors, especially if they have something to hide..."

The High Admiral looked up, a concerned frown spread across his bearded face.
"Expand fortifications in the Horn of Africa, the local militias are now recruited and trained and will be deployed. Additionally, expand the defensive lines within Somalia itself. If that fleet holds an invasion force and is able to land, they are likely to storm through..."

KDMZ Advancements

Today May 13th the 5th Patrol (consisting of 7 Battleships, and 18 support vessels) was moved to Amester, along with the 7th Patrol (consisting of 5 Battleships and 14 support vessels) being moved to Tyriol in response to closing the KDMZ to all vessels from Hai jin Lao (albeit Refugee vessels). The Reserve Fleet (consisting of 3 Aircraft Carrier, 10 Battleships, 8 Cruisers, 6 Submarines, 10 troop transports, 25 support vessels, and 1 Dreadnought) has been moved in between Amester and Tyriol to reinforce the 5th and 7th Fleet, or to independently engage the HJL troops if need be.

Premier Marowinski has stated that if HJL troops or ships enter within 50 miles of the KDMZ they shall be fired upon. The Premier has also stated that he would like to avoid war at any and all cost, except the loss of security that the KDMZ provides Karaden, and Blok.

The 2nd + 3rd Patrol is being sent from Istaven to reinforce the Northern Coast of Amester. The 1st Air Command is being sent from Karkora to Amester, and the New Tov Vol. Marine Corps. is being sent to Tyriol to defend against any aggression into the KDMZ. The Central Admiralty is to remain patrolling between Karaden, Die Pfalz, and Aurora.

The President would've been escorted back to the Bear Coven situation room where he could monitor the events of this conflict. The President of Draica, Timothy Retherfold, skitted into the situation room which was located comfortably in the basement of The Bear Coven. He sat down infront of a table lined up with four and five star generals. The command room was lined up with 20 telescreens built into the wall and two major screens in the front of the room. Outside of the room would be thousands of Draician workers doing their best to transmit images, sound, audio and video to the command room. As well as up-to-date data. All of the screens were focused on the situation at hand off the coast of Vultoria showing live audio and video of it. In the room with him was his joint chiefs of staff, the top military advisers in Driaca, and his Secretary of state, Alissa Canton.
"Sigh..Another one bites the dust, war, terror, chaos.-..What do you have for me today, Canton?" He said, sighing once more.
"Hai Jin Lao, basically the Government declared a meritocracy and the socialists didn't like it, so the Navy broke off and took over a few territories and are now fighting against an "illegitimate" Government. What will our course of action be?"
Retherfold sat back in his chair, pressing his hands together as he closed his eyes, descending deep into thought. 10 minutes of this went on before his eyes snapped wide open and his gaze shifted directly for his pen, and he stood up. He went towards the exit of the room, his advisers and the Secretary staring in shock.
"Sir, where are you going?" The secretary asked.
"To make a speech," were the only three four words he muttered in a hush tone before exiting the situation room and walking out towards the Rose garden.

Retherfold walks out to the beautiful Rose garden of the Bear Coven. No one except him was in it. He placed his sheet of paper onto the podium, which was adorned with a Executive Bear Symbol(a symbol for executive office in Draica), and looked right into the camera.

Now, having said that, I will say this, Democracy is one of the greatest things birthed from the canals of intellectual thought. It is an amazing thing that every human should cherish and appreciate. Having said that, some things can be concealed as being democratic in goal but in all reality they are not. The Government of Hai Jin Lao ridded themselves of socialism, which is something I applaud, but at the same time they put in an even worse system: Meritocracy. A meritocracy is a system in which someone else's standards and definitions of the word merit, of the word smart and of the word competent can decide if you can succeed in society or not, if you can elevate yourself up the public or private sectors. I move to say that this is a very dangerous system and it is also dangerously undemocratic, because a single individual's, a group of individual's or even a society of individual's opinions on your intellect are not infallible. In the universal sense of things, they can be deemed completely false. Some may argue that societies that don't define themselves as meritocracies are in themselves meritocracies because you succeed or fail based on your own merit. While that is true, you succeed or fail based on your OWN merit, in a meritocracy you succeed or fail by a single individual, group of individuals(government) or a society of individual's merit and standards, not your own. That, ladies and gentlemen, undermines everything capitalism stands for.

Draica has always supported countries against the plight of socialism, the plight of communism, and the plight of any other undemocratic, big-government system. However, this is the exception. I am making this offer to the Navy that has defected: Embrace democratic, free-market capitalist ideas and I will supply your movement with direct Military aid and declare war on the Government of Hai Jin Lao. A recent poll in the popular online news site The Colonist of Ostyln has found that over 70% of the pollers were in favor of supporting the Socialist Hai Jin Lao government. This, coupled with the ever growing protests, has finally convinced Victor Subari to declare war on the Military Junta which currently controls mainland Hai Jin Lao.

Ostyln will be sending a small force consisting of a single division, and an independent regiment, and will be landing in the port of Berbera. The division will be under the command of Major General Riaz Ibrahim. It will consist of 2 heavy mechanized infangry regiments, light regiment, and a tank battalion. The independent regiment is under the command of Colonel Hameed Ahmad, and consists of a mix of light, and mechanized elements.

Ostyln will not be sending the force as an independent; the division and independent regiment shall be under the control of the Hai Jin Lao government. Ostyln does however, request that they be recognized as a force which is not from Hai Jin Lao*

Operation Cold Thunder
To commander in chief of the army of The Don River, we have been working endlessly on genetic engineering in order to make an unthinking unfeeling super soldier. As you know we have been using the power of the animal kingdom, to make units that are suited to the positions we may find ourselves in. The 1st Air Command (consisting of 100 bombers, 150 fighters, and the KAFZ FLying Fortress) has been tasked with two separate bombing campaigns, the first in Bangka + Belitung, and the second bombing campaign in the Riau islands in hopes of disabling any and all Naval and Aviation reinforcements to Sumatra. The 2nd + 3rd Patrol has been moved into the South China sea to prevent a naval assault into Amester. The New Tov Vol. Marine Corps. Aboard the D.S. Nacht, a crewmate sat idly at the radio, when he hears a distress signal coming from a ship called the Subotai. His eyes widened, and he rushed from his seat to tell Admiral Zavak. Thank the Gods that the ship had been recently refueled, or else the trip would have been impossible to make.

"Admiral!" He said exasperated. "We have a distress signal coming supposedly from Junta naval territory! We must act immediately!" The Admiral only nodded, placing a hand on the boy's shoulder and telling him to alert the other ships for departure. The Drakorvanyians had been idle enough for too long. Within the hour. The Drakorvanyian fleet of 13 ships and 13 submarines made way for the distress signal. It was time for the Junta to be afraid.
