Tiandi is more multipolar, haha. Jeongmi being like the US is more from back when we all had much larger populations; Jeongmi's population was cut by two thirds from 327 million to 109 million last year.

Jeongmi has impressive military spending, but the presence of blocs such as Akitsukuni's CPSDC means that Jeongmi cannot take on the world alone. It's been trying to integrate much of Sinju (East Asia region) together in an alliance that promotes common interests, and also takes advantage of its ties with former settler colonies such as Haeseon and Parhe.

Jeongmi and Sinju at large are heavily influential in global institutions such as the Congress of Nations (our UN) and other organizations. Civilian leaders of developing nations and heads of international organizations are generally Central-educated (as Sinju institutes of education are much more prestigious and generally of much higher quality) and instilled to a degree in Central beliefs.

Of course, organizations like the Yuhua Alliance and the CPSDC aren't going to be actually that opposed to one another, especially in regards to territorial desires, despite incidents such as the brief war between Meisaan and Akitsukuni last year. Nowadays, land disputes should be for nationalistic purposes rather than any economic ones; based on Aki's recent post, part of the reason as to why the war happened last year may have been more due to an internal power struggle within Akitsukuni. Nowadays, global capitalist elites should largely be in bed with one another.

Jeongmi is pretty powerful though, and should be, haha. It's intentionally very powerful in order to keep things in check both OOCly and ICly.

I don't know if Jeongmi has any bombs at all...

Also, this is something that I'd been considering when we got rid of the offsite forum signups.

Should we make a new signups thread? It would give an appearance of newness in addition to being less clogged OOC discussion and numerous apps which no longer apply at all to Tiandi.

Existing nations would have to repost their apps. I'd actually like this for nations who only signed up on the offsite forum, since it's difficult for me to keep track of stats without having a single place to look everything up. It would also weed out some of the more inactive members whose canon and reason for existence are long outdated.

People who want to keep puppets in Tiandi but have their main elsewhere should keep a nation alive in Tiandi. Letting it die shows a lack of commitment to the region and inactivity. I've already been sort of enforcing this, but I think I'll put it in the OP.

I think I'll be keeping a list of all active apps somewhere. This is for both my convenience and the convenience of anyone who wants to know.

Furthermore, should people make at least basic outlines for their nations on IIWiki? This would include any NPCs anyone makes as well (which, tbh, anyone in the region can use and edit without the original creator's permission).

I also think I should add a section in the app asking if the nation they're making is a main, a puppet, or an NPC.

These changes can also be made without creating a new thread.

I made a really basic page for the Yuhua Alliance. I don't want us to slow things down by arguing over what the name should be, haha.

An issue is that a lot of this post-Eulhae order stuff is going to have be decided on how Eulhae plays out. We should get at least the basics down.

I think we should have had one or two major "world wars" before Eulhae as well.

Yeah, I can do that.

Also, Sab, even though Kewhira uses an ethnic group that's present in the highlands of Northeast India, IRL they didn't interact much with Indian cultures I think until around the 19th century or so, so in terms of culture it should be pretty different from India.

Here though I have them having more foreign influence and contact beginning in the early 17th century... actually yeah I guess they would have mostly interacted with neighboring Indian and Southeast Asian groups, though Jeongmi would have been heavily present.

I also think we should have had several wars over certain areas in Barujaya.

But I think this would also mean us fighting each other in Sinju?

edit: I completely forgot about this but this was actually pretty cool. We should have something like this again! I actually have a book on Chinese and European innovations in gunpowder weaponry that uses the same exact picture we used for its cover HAHA.

I think the rise of liberalism should correspond with the rise of the bourgeoisie as a class following developments of increasing materialism and commercialization of society that come with capitalism.

Nomyo wouldn't be in a vacuum and so should be heavily influenced by events and thoughts taking shape outside of its borders as well.

The new, largely urban bourgeoisie feel left out of power despite their influence in capitalist society due to existing political systems at the time reflecting the long-time dominance of traditional land-based agrarian elites (think feudal lords or aristocracy with titles in general). They want more power for themselves and thus have calls for greater inclusiveness in the political system.
