Brief history/description: Alaska went through a period legislation in the 1990s in which infrastructure was built and business and immigration laws were greatly relaxed. Soon many immigrants came in Alaska as the new California since after all immigration was easy and the state paid for transport and let all immigrants in .Soon changes like industrialization emerged and at first came gradual but took rapid speed. Eventually Alaska with it's autonomy ceded from the union as the mainland was breaking up. Now with it's rapidly growing industries and population looks forward to a conquest of its frontier.
Brief description of goals of leader and people (can be different):the goals of the leaders is the same as the people but also expand and the hopes of the people are to claim the frontier, become leading a industrial powerhouse, and maintain peace with force if necessary.

Is your company military based? Military stuffs are not allowed on Antarctica by an agreement of 12 - 50 nations in real life. By not traditionally used you mean Greenland, Iceland and very low population islands?

Well it is military based so, no antartica then.
