Also, Xin Ming, I'm a little curious. Is your factbook supposed to be IC? 'Cause I'm fairly sure that there are lots of buildings that have been in continuous use since before 1400 AD.

The Pantheon in Rome, the Moscow Kremlin, or even the Horyu-ji in Japan.

Rather ironically, the pyramids you listed have not, in fact, been in continuous use since their associated tombs are all empty. Unless you count their use as landmarks over the centuries :P

Wow I just found out that Persia and Russia have a war in the 1800s. Anyway...I am going to increase the central governments control by sending out the Shahs sons and relatives as governors of the various provinces, so they would all answer to him. I'm going to bring western sciences, technology and educational methods from the West...I am basically going to model my Shah after Naser o-Din Shah . :) everything but getting assassinated. Also I will do some of the stuff Mirza Taghi Khan Amir Kabir did when he was in power.

It was a rather fun war for the Russians. Especially the bit where 320 Russian jaegers beat an army of 20,000 Persians. And they didn't even have oiled muscles or CGI blood effects.

Just remember that doing stuff like that tends to upset the upper class, which means you'll probably have to put down a rebellion at some point

@China
I'll send some chaps from Hawaii over too. They're Asian-looking, so you should get along just fine.
Of course, 20th century Hawaii was the favored tourist spot for China and Japan, so they're mostly one or the other anyway. All the actual Hawaiians moved to Baja.

@Persia
Technically he still has his land. The area that's green on the map is not a formal part of the Russian Empire, but a militarily occupied area. Skobelev is injecting a measure of truth into what he's saying. Pretty much the only reason Russia occupies that area is because the British are in the south. Of course, they don't really give a damn about Persia outside of Nicholas' generalized goal of increasing Earth's number of space-faring states.

Silence you fool! This talk of companies will remind OMG that he can viable produce Gazprom and unleash it upon the world! The fact that Europe HAS to by now import natural gas from Russia (via Gazprom) or offworld only lends more power to this as those states that lack extrasolar colonies are surely at the mercy of the Energy Giant.

I only pray that my rant has not given OMG ideas regarding the deployment of Gazprom.

@Persia
Perhaps, p'raps not.

@FS
Ah, yeah. That's actually the Russian jaeger uniform from the Paulian era/late 18th century.

As to companies, you could probably start a claudia import scheme, vehicle production (Ford?), arms, consumer goods, and stuff like that.

@Abruzi
There's not enough natural gas on Earth to make it worth harvesting at this point >_>
Not unless you want to extract it from cows.

@Gratislavia
There was only one that I recall. It was half of Europe coming down on a revolution, kicking rebel ass in Budapest and Russian soldiers shaking hands with Austrian generals at the gates of Buda Palace. Lots of neat photograph(or portrait)-worthy moments.

Don't we already have one? Anyway, as I never use IRC I'd probably be against this. It was the same with the forum- there's no need when we can just discuss things here quite easily.
