No foreign investment allows companies to grow opening stores abroad means more money and more money means more power and more power means America can Tax its companies much much more and that means More money for the government to play with :) Outsourcing is good if its not done to cut corners and make save money if you actually invest properly it can rake you in the money and as of now Persia is an untapped market :P

Also i do hope the world drinks coca cola :P i have an actual interesting forming in my head for that :P

Oh America, Persia isn't muslim. Its Zoroastrianism

Zoroastrianism????

Persia has not been Zoroastrian since the 6th centry A.D. Currently in EE we are approximitly 2000 years in the future from that point.

Now Persia is your country and you free to change the basic religion if you wish but that is something you are going to have to RP over time. Not pop out of thin air. Particulaly since I would think that if you did change the religion back to a Polytheistic dead religion there would be MILLIONS of Persians who would take offence to that.

Very violent offence.

Zoroastrianism is a monotheistic religion and I read the wiki on Persia and it said that Persia was primarily Zoroastrian.

I don't know where you read that, but if you were to read the Iran page on Wikipedia, you'd find that the population is 98% Islamic.

Ok, first things first. Persia, which today is known as Iran is a Muslim Country. Shiite Muslim to be precise and they tend to hate non Muslims and Sunni Muslims. So your probably not freinds with Saudi Arabia either.

So, Persia is Muslim.

Second ,your wiki is probably talking about the ancient Persian Empire during the Roman Era. Not the modern day nation state following the rise of Islam.

The Parthians have been dead longer than dodos. May I just say, you don't seem to know much about your nation- personally I think that the better players are those who have a passion for the nation they're playing. You seem the sort who'll get bored of Persia after a week or two and up and leave. You should really try picking a nation you are experienced with.

Zoroastrianism DOES exist in Persia today and is tolerated by the Iranian state, but there's only like, 100,000 Zoroastrians worldwide. While it is a rather neat religion, it is also, unfortunately, a dying one. I would say that by 3220 it's probably either still barely hanging on or gone.

The Persian Shah would also like to converse with British dignitaries...The Shah doesn't like the British but if they could offer Persia something for siding with them over Russia...Then the Shah could change his mind :D

To note, your EE nation does not need reflect what modern day nation it represents in our time.

Persia could very well rp as restored Parthian Empire with some Muslim religion layered into it.

I mean the Russian Empire has been dead for more then eighty years now, the French Empire since that one year where they made all these barricade thingies across the streets...

Passion is what keeps an EE nation alive, do some research into the history of Persia find out what part you like, then create a way for that to be the Persia you want to rp.

Me? I always like the Franks of the Carolingan era, of Charles the Hammer Martel smiting the arabs at Tours in a glourious battle. Thats why i restored and empire with a Carolingan ruler at its head.

To clarify, since me personally I am a universalist and believe that all major religions are decended from the revelations of one God, it is however far fetched to say that Judaism is deprived from Zoroastrianism.. they both were distant from eachother and in different time frames o.O

If anything they could have intermingled and influenced eachother, which I wont deny.

Well, the Jewish religion did not branch off from Zoroastrianism, it was started approxmitly the same time at different locations.

However, during their first exile (yes, there have been more than one) they were forced to go to Persia and adopted and grafted on some Zoroastrian concepts.

That said, when Christianity broke off from Judaism and created it's own religion it ditched most of the older customs and adopted and grafted European Pagan concepts onto a Monotheistic idea.

And thats our religious history lesson for today :)
