Alright well, while Sweden would be nice, I am going to go with the Saudi Imamate. Especially with those conquest rules I will have a good time rping. I will probably declare a Sultanate or something later. Sweet. I'll get to work on a Factbook and create a puppet. Thanks!

Sorry, I'm going to be gone for a week or two. Not doing any NS stuff for a while.

Not quitting, I'll be back soon enough.

So long as you don't step on our toes, we'll assist you in your goals north and westwards.

And, of course, the Russian and Eastern Roman Empires will probably say the same thing. Only instead of north we'd prefer you go south ;)

Since I'm on a wonderful booting spree here, I suppose it's activity check time.

Portugal - Last post was Dec. 9. A cookie for you.

The Great Ming - Dec. 7. Cookie.

France - Dec. 6. Is there a pattern here?

FS_America - Nov. 22. Probation.

Britain - Dec. 1st.

Japan - Dec. 5th

Prussia - Dec. 9th, cookie.

Spain - Vacation.

Afghanistan - Nov. 13. You're outta there.

Netherlands - Dec. 6

Eastern Rome - Nov. 24. Probation.

Venice - Dec. 6

EE Texas - Has a good excuse for not having posted since Nov. 12.

Dui Sicili - Nov. 25. You're close. I would post if I were you.

Khmer-Siam - I'm sorry, but you claimed your state a long time ago and have not posted since. I need an IC post within the week or you're off.

@Bavin
I'm afraid it's a certainty. If you want to reclaim Sweden, you can do so, but you'll be on probation. As per the rules.

The Savoyards would be willing to provide training and funds for a Saudi Risorgimento; anything to play havoc with the existing colonial powers in the world. OMG'll have to correct me on this, but the Savoyards, if memory serves, have significant financial clout through the Genoese merchant guilds, Milanese banking and other areas.

@Savoy

Actually, Savoy has little economic influence at this point. It has potential, of course, but right now they have to sort their government and military out after the chaos of what was, essentially, a civil war resulting in the fragmentation of Italy.

Also, if you wanted to switch to Hungary, now's the chance.

@Bavin
Roger. Remember, if you go on probation you can't claim Sweden again.

@Midwestern America
If Savoy doesn't want it, sure. I believe he has dibs.

If not the Magyars, is there anywhere else you'd like?

Sure I can start with a Savoyard. I would like to control him for the most part (just for ease in my internal rps), but you could rp as him some times if necessary. It works nicely since you have a ton of mercenaries he could be a mercenary officer. Maybe later I will hire some condottieri to do some dirty work.

And sweet, an entire regiment paid for by you. I will also like to control them immediately because I want to get my internal rps going.

Edit: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=83600 - link to factbook. Its a WIP. Tell me if anything's wrong with it. I might start the internal rp soon.

Also, Savoy, if you switch, would you still provide an officer.

Also Russia would you supply an officer/ have had my Prince be educate at one of your academies?

The Russians and Eastern Rome might be interested in stabilizing the Arab region, since it would mean fewer nomadic raids across the Roman-Arab border.
But keep in mind, the Arabic mindset is not suited to European style warfare and, in general, the first European style troops trained by Eastern nations were not very good (The Nizam-I Cedid being something of an anomaly in that they proved to be rather decent) but historically both Persia and several Indian states tried and failed to produce good Western-style armies. Although several Indian states worked out the kinks eventually.

@Midwestern America
Yes, however, Switzerland doesn't really go in for big shiny things. They seem to prefer the acquisition of money to the spending of it. You do, however, get to have your entire population in the militia.

Midwest can have Hungary; I've got a good start to an Italian unification RP going, It'd be a shame to have to start again. Though I'll have to give him fair warning; the Hapsburgs will want to try to get back their ancestral homeland in Austria at some point, so be ready. :)

Sure thing. Though as OMG's said, they'll probably be paid directly out of the Grand Duke's personal fortune, as there isn't much money to go around for Savoy beyond that. Other than that, feel free to take whatever creative license you'd like, within reason of course. :p

Republic = Form of Government (How said government is organized/operated)

Democracy = System of Government (How said government operates in relation to the nation as a whole)

The UK (NOT England, the UK/Great Britain consists of England, Scotland, Wales, and N. Ireland) is a Constitutional Parliamentary Monarchy. Monarchy being the form of government, in that, the government is organized around a monarch in relation to the nation as a whole. This is evident as the Prime Minister, Cabinet, Parliament, etc, are all serving 'at behest of Her Royal Majesty Elizabeth II'; Constitutional is a pronoun describing the subform of Monarchy, being that it is restricted by a Constitution (Or in the UK's case, a series of government decrees that make up the defacto 'Constitution'), as opposed to a Absolute Monarchy or what have you.

Parliamentary is the system of government, being how legislation/governance operates in the UK in relation to the nation as a whole.
