Gibet will send medical and food supplies to The New Heritage. Their people are being vaporized and driven from their lands. We do not believe that the very nations who saught to stop Nuclear Weapons from being used, are actually firing them, (or Thermobaric Missiles) at the New Heritage's civilian Populace. You killed less Military Targets than Civilian Targets. You haven't so-much crippled their Armed Forces as much as just gotten the rest of the world's attention. You have commited War Crimes and must be punished. Why would you destroy innocents when you could still just as easily invade their country and it be over emmediatly? You have a larger Military Force and yet you use the very weapons that many of the nations who sided with you are against? Honestly, you should reallt take another look at the map. In the eyes of your "friends", your just as disgusting as Gibet or New Heritage.

We apologize for our mistake in thinking that it was your nation who fired nuclear weapons on us. Upon further review it was the Nullivan empire who so brashly launched their missiles against us. Currently, the remaining government officials, as well as myself, have taken refuge among the people of Tardaria, who so graciously admitted us into their protection. Seeing the complete devastation that has been brought down on our country has saddened me, but we still feel that it was you who was in the wrong. Seeing this, we would like extend a peace treaty with your country. Also, will you do nothing in the face of Nullivan's balatent use of Nuclear weapons as a sheer offensive weapon. Notice that we did nothing to antagonize their nation, and they have brought destruction upon our lands in biblical scale. Was it not your intention to stop Gibet from committing such atrocities and now under your own nose they have been committed by a nation you were on the verge of war with yourself. Well I hate superweapons. I prefer to do MT Modern Wars. Not any of this Nuclear War ---- that seems to be happening much more nowadays.

OOC: Totally agree with the above statements. I am completely new to this, but I figured people would follow the logical progression of escalations. In the point of Nullivan, I didn't really expect to declare war and then immediately get nuked. Normally, one would assume that Nukes are used as a last resort, considering the scale of problems associated with doing so. Also it was known that my country was very primitive compared to Azura or some of the larger nations taking place in this RP. Being so primitive, I don't think it would take much to overpower my country, without using nukes. Now perhaps Nullivan is RPing as a psychotic dictator, much like Chancellor Winklestein, and if that were the case then I could see someone like that using nukes to begin with. Now I didn't get that intention of character from reading what Nullivan had posted before. In any case, this being my first RP with nation states, I am going to go along with it as much as much as I can. It may not be too much further considering how most of country has already been wiped out.

The newly appointed Chancellor watched the scientists through five inch thick bullet proof glass. Working very slowly and carefully, the lab technician inserted the petri dish into the testing unit. After closing the door to the testing unit, the technician sighed with relief and moved to the computer monitor on the other side of the room. Through the visor of his hazmat suit the tech strained to see the results on the monitor. After keying something into the computer he read back the results.

-The testing has been confirmed. The mutation was a success. Gentleman, we now control the world's deadliest virus, The technician said.

The Chancellor had an almost sheepish grin on his face. Almost like a child on Christmas morning. For the last several years, this lab had been working on creating a virus that would give the Empire what they deserved, respect. Hidden away in the deepest, most remote parts of the Heritage jungle, only four people (besides the scientists) knew about this place. If any information leaked about this place nations would have acted fast to invade and steal the secrets the empire had been collecting. Now, after the Empire had been decimated, this was the perfect time to reveal to the world what the Empire had at hand.

It took seven years and hundreds of lives, but the work was now complete. Scientists had been able to splice the enzyme called VIM-2, an enzyme that breaks down antibiotics, with the genes of Yersinia pestis bacteria. Essentially, the end product was a drug resistant form of the bubonic plague. It was a terrible weapon to use, but the times had called for drastic measures.

The plan was to send 20 "agents" into Nullivan cities and airports and have them spread the disease. It would be hard, but if enough people were infected, Nullivan would be crippled within days. They would almost certainly recognize the symptoms of the victims, but once they realized that the treatment was doing nothing they would lose control.

48 hours later

Agents of the Empire have arrived inside Nullivan cities. They were able to enter the country through obtaining false visas. They were ghosts, if they were caught they would have no history of being in the Empire at all. Each agent had a different background and they came from a different country. They were instructed that if they were compromised they would kill themselves with cyanide capsules. They were to enter the major public areas of the nation and spread the bacteria through any means possible. The infected would have roughly four days to live. Any antibody administered would fail due to the VIM enzyme. The government would begin to see the cases reported within the next two days, by that time enough people would be infected and the agents will have disappeared into the night.

OOC: What exactly do you plan to do once the virus spreads to the rest of the world? If it's like the actual Bubonic Plague, I'm preety certain that it would spread like wild fire and in-gulf the world. I'm sure others would agree.

Bubonic Plague isn't incurable, though. If you want real world-rearing power, you'd need something more akin to a genetically modified hemorrhagic fever-inducing virus, like Lassa or Ebola. Smallpox also would do the trick. Outbreaks of bubonic plague still occur, even in the United States, and you don't even hear about them half the time.
