Statsan Election (Open)

[Statsa]

Steiner, the former leader of Statsa has now been found guilty of war crimes in Caroilly. He was apparently ordering Generals to execute enemy soldiers and civilians. He will be sentenced to life in prison, and new elections need to be held to replace him.

First we have Hamoud Fouad, who was until now a member of the senate. He is leaning towards more scientific advancement and supports capitalism.

Then we have Mario Hojberg, the former leaders nephew. He wants to enlarge Statsan territory into different areas and has a knack for military strategy. He has mostly imperialist ideals.

Lastly there is Samuel Gütenberg, who is a former representative of the Statsan enviormental board and is largely socialist.

The Statsan goverment would like to know who people would like to see in power.

The Office of the Chief Justice

I Chief Justice Miller of The Dominion of Mavenheim would like to formally congratulate The Federation of Statsa and the Statsa people for liberating themselves and overthrowing the tyrant Steiner.

I would like to council the voters of Statsa to vote for Hamoud Fouad as their new leader.

I am also advising the votes of Statsa to avoid electing Mario Hojberg, or any other war hawk, as their leader.

I hope for future peaceful and prosperous relations between our two nations.

We are glad to see a tyrant, whom is guilty of war crimes, removed from power. This shows a good sign in your nation's political system.

We recommend to be careful with selecting your new leader, it's quite easy to bring in another tyrant or someone who is unable to keep the government stable. During regime changes there tends to be much instability, so we recommend you be prepared for some chaotic time periods.

As for whom the people should elect, we recommend Samuel Gütenberg. We suspect he will tend to the needs of the people, and won't end up becoming another tyrant; which could easily happen with the other candidates.

Berlin: Hamoud Fouad made a statement in the capital today " I want people to be more intelligent. Maybe instead of sending men out to die in warfare, we can send computers and negotiate instead. I refuse to attack for imperialist ideas. There has to be something that threatens or offends my goverment. I will not stand for imperialism."

Samuel Gütenberg had this to say: " I want the enviorment to succeed with it's people. We should treat people the same, and the enviorment as it were a person."
The final interview was for Mario Hojberg " If I come to power I will increase the empire of Statsa. I can make other nations believe what we believe. I will continue the legacy of my uncle. Statsa will double it's size with my help."

We are happy that the tyrant Steiner has been imprisoned. People who has been found guilty of war crimes shouldn't be tolerated.

The Kenzinian people mostly supports Mr Hamoud Fouad. To the people of Statsa, we recommend you vote for him as your next leader. We also suggest that you avoid choosing Mr Mario Hojberg as he is a strict Imperialist and has strong ties with your former leader.

Statsan Airspace
The luxury private jet soared through the sky and the two Mig-25 fighter planes for escort. Inside Prince Ivan Turnsonov, 3rd in line for the throne sipped pricey Russian vodka. He rested his feet on a soft ottoman and relaxed. "We are over The Statsan capital, preparing to land. Put on your seat belts and tighten them appropriately." Ivan put the vodka down and said "time to land." He strapped himself in and sighed. The plane came down upon the airstrip. The escorts screeching to a stop on a longer runway and the jet gently kissing the asphalt and cement. The door opened, steps folded out and a red carpet rolled down. Extravagant. 10 men in ceremonial uniform with helmets that had a double headed eagle coming out from the top clutched AK-74s and 5 lined up on each side of the carpet. One shouted "present arms!" The Imperial Guards raised their guns holding them right in front of them in the air. Prince Ivan and his advisors came out and 5 more guards marching with swords at their sides (and MP7s in their coat)
clearly officers. Two men in dark suits came out, secret service. They had Makarov PMs in their coat. There were three limousines waiting, with Statsan chauffeurs so kindly offered by the government. The limos drove off to their destination.

[Statsa]

General of the army, Marco Strauss personally awaited the Garengaden prince at the palace. "I want guards to be discreet. Let's not scare them away with too many weapons. We want them to find a new likeness to this Statsan regime."

[Mavenheim]

Stansan Airspace

"This is the captain speaking. We just have to wait a minute for the runway to open up, so we can come in for a landing. Please fasten your seat belts we should be coming into a landing momentary."

Chief Justice Miller, the de facto head of government, sat looking out the window at the Garengad jet landing. "We should actually buy a jet. One that is more conformable then these chartered things."
"Yes Most Honored" his secretary replied.

"This is the captain speaking. The runway is clear and we are coming in for a landing."

The small jetliner gently started its decent. The landing was, relatively, smooth and fortunately ended quickly.

The flight attendant opened the door and the small party started to walk out. Chief Justice Miller, in his black robes, followed by his secretary and a security detail of sheriffs and deputies, in their brown and gold uniforms. Also in the party was a Security & Intelligence agent; who came to provide information on the current situation in Al-Uzza. A limo and two black SUVs awaited the group. The Chief Justice, his secretary, and the agent entered the limo while the Sheriffs were divided between the two SUVs.

The all clear came over the radio as the group started driving to the palace.

Maids and butlers at the palace rushed to have rooms made for the leaders coming to the palace. The cooks were running around throughout the kitchen preparing for the big dinner. The Garengaden royals had their own room, and Chief Justice Miller had his own room prepared. The leaders were to be well taken care of in the Statsan palace.

Statsan Palace
After speaking to the Major, Prince Ivan took off his suit and tie and took a quick shower. He then put on his military uniform with it's 15 medals and honors he took out his copy of War and Peace and resume chis place, reading it for the 17th time. No, 18th. He straighten his medals and read waiting for the call for him to attend the party. Soon he felt lonely and went to see if he could see General Strauss or candidate Fouad.

The Chief Justice quickly enters his room with the S&I Agent to receive a debriefing on the current situation in Al-Uzza. The Sheriffs were going around the room looking for bugs or listing devices just in case.

The party was awaiting the delicious smelling dinner that was being cook in the kitchen not to far away.

Statsan Palace
Ivan walked around the palace, two guards always behind him. When he couldn't find anybody he smelled the delicious aroma of dinner. He went back to his room to comb his hair again and straighten his medals.

[Statsa]

The food consisted of chicken,duck, and ham. Sides of pepper and cream cheese (popular in Statsa) was offered. The Statsan orchestra played in the backround. Champagne and wine were given to all of the guests. The candidates ate at the head of the table with the prince and the Chief Justice.

[Aldinainia]

Meanwhile, 25 miles from the nation, the Aldinainian Free Army were stationed at their european military base in Machtenburg. The leading officer of the area, Balfagh Dodden, received a communique.

'Former Statsan leader, Steiner, has been arrested and is held in life imprisonment at Galhenhagen Prison'.

The phone suddenly ranged and the general immediately picked it up.

"Yes, this is General Dodden speaking?"

"Hello, this is the Aldinainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We have hear the news that the former leader of Statsa, Steiner, has been imprisoned."

"Yeah. Why should I know this man?"

"This man happens to be amongst the greatest heroes of our war. He was a longtime advocate for our nation and among the few nations to provide foreign supplies for the military."

"That's very interesting," replied Balfagh. "What is it that you're calling me about?"

"On orders of Despot Hitaldé Sodor, we are addressing you a standby alert for any event of mayhem that will occur."

"What mayhem do you speak of, sir?"

There was a moment of silence. Then the man talked. "The government has authorized our ministry to reactivate the Bureau of International Correspondence, infiltrate the country without any recognition, and spring out Steiner."

"Haha! You guys are nuts, but have got guts. What are we to do?"

"For now, nothing. We don't want you to engage because we don't want to initiate a war with them. We want your men to standby and await further instructions."

"Fair enough. Thank you."

He placed down the telephone and sits back down, inhaling his cigar.

In Aldinainia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs arranged their preparations in assembling the highest trained troops in their arsenal to conduct their quick operations. They appointed a veteran of the war, Ulghar Vacti, to lead the small forces.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dheskur Yis, approached the battalion and presented a small speech.

"Gentlemen. This mission is not to be known by anyone, including the Statsan government. This operation must a quick, decisive, and swift action. We prefer that there will be no bloodshed by any means to jeopardize our involvement. You will be sent to the airbase and you shall go by foot, rescue Steiner, and return back home. If anything more, we must have him alive and well."

The Bureau soldiers boarded a specialized supersonic plane and started a three to four hour journey to Machtenburg.

[Mavenheim]

"How do y'all do?" The Chief Justice said as he went to shake everyone's hand. "Tonight will be an exciting night, we got rid of elections in my nations so it will be exciting to see one unfold. Plus the food looks delicious."

[Garengad]

The Prince was poured some red wine and he sipped it. He ate some duck too. It was delicious. "Leadership in Garengad is hereditary but there are local elections and for the parliament. It is not as exciting as this." He sipped his wine. Raised his glass and said "to Statsa!"

[Statsa]

At the end of the meal the winner of the election was announced. "The new Statsan leader is to be... Hamoud Fouad!" Everyone cheered except for Mario Hojberg. "What?! This is unbelieveable! I am the heir to the throne. I will not stand for capitalist fools!" After this he stormed outside with his guards. Hamoud cleared his throat and said " Ladies and gentlemen, I am honored by your acceptance of me into this major part of the goverment. I know some people dissagree with my ideas. Some people may think my intentions are not what they seem. But for supporting me even when he lost, I want Samuel Gütenberg to assist me in my time as the leader of this great country! He will be my Aide de campe. I also want to thank the voters for choosing me as the leader of this country." Samuel Gütenburg stood up " I am very happy that you want me to work in the goverment with you. It is just more proof that you didn't think of people running against you as enemies, but as allies. That is why I think you are more fit for the job than I am." General Strauss looked at the group. He was happy that Hamoud won, but he was worried about Hojberg's exit. "I want double the guards at the prison where Steiner is being held. I don't want them to let him out. Enough people have died from his actions. No more shall this be true."

[Garengad]

Ivan cheered at the victory of his ally but was deeply disturbed by the reaction of Hojberg. He clapped in celebration but then said "shouldn't someone go after that guy!" A few security staff went to see where he went and the dinner soon dispersed. In his room Ivan contacted his Secret Service and told them "grab your guns and spy on Hojberg. Take a Guard. I'm having some suspicions on him. Don't shoot to kill even if he fires at you!" Ivan heard the officer say "da ser." Then Ivan went to sleep unsure of his actions. The Secret Servicemen walked the streets barely keeping up with Hojberg. They saw him turn towards the State Prison and he disappeared.

[Statsa]

Hojberg and his guards went to a nearby hotel. Inside, they prepared M4 rifles and other heavy weapons. The most notable thing they were carrying was a large amount of plastic explosives. Soon after, more people came to see Hojberg. They seemed to be prepared for war.

[Aldinainia]

The Bureau of International Correspondence arrived at Machtenburg. They left their plane and went to the command room. The general was in horror.

"What is it, General?"

"The nephew of the dictator is on the run, which we need to bring him too. However, the prison is now heavily guarded."

Ulghar thought for a moment. "It'll be a bit tricky to get into the prison, but we must infiltrate it without alarm, and we must find out how to free Steiner."

"Well we need to also make contact with Hojberg," the general said. "Guards are now looking for him."

"I think we'll have to go dark. We can travel through the city in the night, without anyone spotting us. From there, we can be able to trek across the rooftops silently and skim the streets to locate the prison. By then, we must get inside and find both people."

"That's a good idea," agreed the general. "But did the Aldinainian government state exactly the intention of him?"

"Vaguely," said Ulghar. "But now, let's move by land. We just need a small team of your own to accompany us. We shall hide a few clicks before the entrance of the city and we'll let you know if backup is needed."

And so, the Bureau of International Correspondence and a small squadron of the AFA began their hour and a half journey to the city to find Steiner.

Ivan after hearing the report of his men ran to Strauss and said "Mojberg is gone the bashi-bazouk! My men say he went around the State Prison and the Hotel District. We must find him! He could look to free the tyrant Steiner! You must send the police to find him!" Ivan's secret servicemen said "sir, we could take our PSL sniper rifle and scout for and further suspicious activities?"
"Da." Ivan replied. "Take a guard with you."
