Description: The Perseid Federation's merchant fleet has begun to restore commercial activity in the Sivulon Trade Network, the old interstellar trade lanes that had been dormant for the past three centuries. As part of the second 13-year plan, the Perseid government has been encouraging merchant ships to travel once more along the routes to resume trade with interstellar states along the trade lanes. The Archon of Minaris, Demosthenes Kyriazis, had stated at a press conference that the restoration of the Sivulon Trade Network will ease the Omospondia's return to the interstellar community as well as promote commercial and economic activity throughout the Alpha Quadrant and possibly with other locations in the Milky Way Galaxy. The Perseid government has also begun to lobby with interstellar states along the routes in an effort to restore trade and commerce with these states, especially with star-states benefiting from the Solarian Trade Corridor and star-states located in the rimward areas of the quadrant.

Potential Greater Impact(s): This may usher in a new period of interstellar commerce within the Alpha Quadrant, which may spill over to other quadrants in the following decades, especially to the emerging Gamma Quadrant. However, with the restoration of the Sivulon routes, pirate activity may be expected to rise, especially along the junction where the Sivulon and Solarian routes intersect — an expectation that may be the rationale behind the increase in military spending by the Omospondia, especially on escort warships.

Description: The date for “Operation Vigilance” draws closer some details of what is to come in this multilateral test of responsiveness and defense measures that the GRF has in place have been released. GRF command; has said that due to some heightened activities along the lines of the alpha, gamma , delta and beta sectors of the galaxy. That the defense exercises that will be undertaken in a few short weeks have been modified to include additional assets; and a new directive specifically designed to counter any threats to interstellar commercial traffic entering allied junction points. While the points in question for these heightened measures and directives remain classified for security reasons; Reaction Force officials state that these exercises may yet be some of the largest undertaken yet, and include additional assets from allied nations including several task forces , rapid reaction brigade's, logistical divisions and mobile ship yards that are to be provided by the Nalydyani Stellar forces.

However other than this increase in assets devoted to readiness exercises; GRF command maintains that these exercises are purely for defensive reasons and that obvious events within the galaxy that could possibly impact allied members in the upper quadrants of the galaxy haven been taken into account. The GRF’s primary missions to provide security for member states commerce, assist neutral ships in distress and to considerably improve interoperability between member assets will all be met. This honing is of course critical to guaranteeing that should a member state request aid, that the GESO Reaction Force is willing, able and ready within sufficient time to to heed the call.


Potential Greater Impact(s): In response to high-tented tensions and piracy; as well as terrorism attacks in sectors with Allied assets the GRF is increasing its commitments and over all sizes of its operations to position themselves if need be to respond to a crisis involving a member state. In addition trade junctions if requested by member states as well other jointly Allied controlled outposts and "way points" with gate stations will see increased security where neutral ships and subcontracted ships alike will be subject to improved security measures. In furtherance of this action an expansion of operation vigilance code named vanguard will include readiness drills to attain increased response time to non allied and neutral distress calls with in range of allied assets or ships.

Description:

With the defeat of the Betrican Federation, and the close of the Long War - the Crux have begun their reconquest of old and new worlds alike. The rapid construction of the civilization's Sagittarium Trade Junction [SJT] has drawn interests from other star-states such as Sunset, who plan on holding a large galactic conference at the Dominion's Essinaar Station in Liu Xiu to establish a multi-state trade treaty that'll link portal-states together.

The SJT is near completion as the Dominion expands into all quadrants across Core-space by taking advantage of the Ascendancy Wars. The Ascendancy Wars are a continuation of the Long War via remnants of the Betrican Allies and their now outcasted, and rogue vessels that've been ransacking trade lanes. The Dominion has announced a new policy, and begun a series of conflicts with these states that assisted the Betricans during the initial 1,500 year conflict.

Along with this new threat of Betrican piracy that is starting to overflow from Crux trade lanes and into other routes, Dominion vessels assisted and saved a Phoenix Freighter in the Gamma Quadrant from a Betrican raid, and as a result the Crux have granted the Traditional Faction of the Phoenix Nomads colonies in Gamma, where they have taken up residence in the Thelora System of the Arnetta Cluster under the wing of the Crux's defence.

The Ascendancy Wars have also taken an interesting turn as Crux pursue Betrica's old allies across Core-space into near-by quadrants. Large migrations of refugees from these civilizations have begun to flee the encroaching fires of the conflict. The Perseid Federation has begun to see an increase in these refugees, sparking a small refugee crisis - specifically Betricans who fled Betrica following the Day of Rain. Populations not fleeing have either been intentionally displaced, or enslaved for labour or to be sold.

The Crux Dominion and the Empire of the Ashren'Vo, after several secret agreements, have signed the Union Convention uniting the two star-states into a single political unit, known as the Coven Hegemony or simply the Coven. This agreement has doubled the Coven's size and population, now composing of the annexed Betrican worlds within Alpha, the Dominion's systems within the Gamman Corefield, and the Ashren'Vo systems in Gamman space near Liu Xiu.

Potential Greater Impact(s):

• Betrican Piracy is spilling into other trade lanes across Core-Space [Betricans are now cleared to be used in other people's RPs freely as Pirates or Mercenaries]
• Massive displacements of populations as refugee ships increase in frequency to flee the Ascendancy Wars [Sets up RPs for random encounters with pursuing Dominion vessels, Refugee crises, and other relative RPs with interested parties]
• Near Completion of the SJT Gates around the Core will drive trade towards the Dominion [Sets up the Essinaar RP with Sunset and others, and future RPs with interested parties]
• Phoenix now has a somewhat stable colony under the protection of the Dominion
• Large Syndicates are appearing in Dominion ports [Sets up RPs to extend these syndicates to interested parties]
• Bounties set by the Dominion to pursue Betrican and Betrican Allies [Sets up RPs to extend these bounties to interested parties]
• Dominion regains strength as it begins the Ascendancy Wars to reconquer or annihilate what's left of Betrican Allies [Allows First Contact RPs, and Tension RPs with neighbouring states in affected Quadrants for interested parties]
• Doubling population, and greatly increasing the political sphere, a substantial increase in Coven trade is expected, with the creation of new trade lanes, especially between the two signatories of the Convention, and star-states with treaties that were negotiated prior. [Establishes trade lanes from Coven regions in Alpha, to Gamman Corefield, and Ashren'Vo regions near LX]
• This may raise tensions in Gamma, following the Convention, with other star-states becoming wary of the newly created Coven and its growing trade sphere, and proximity towards major trade lanes. [Creates more potential RPs of either contact in the form of hostility or trade opportunities]
• Piracy, particularly of Betrican in origin is likely to have a substantial increase over the newly created Coven trade lanes, prompting a much larger build-up of joint Coven forces [More widespread Piracy, particularly along Coven trade lanes]

Description: The flood of refugees spreading throughout the Gamma Quadrant has sent echoes throughout the whole of the quadrant, including nascent outposts of the R.u.B Union in the Talosian Expanse, just over the boundary line between Beta and Gamma. Many of these refugees have been attracted to the R.u.B Union's frontiers in search of protection and work. In response to this, as well as the departure of the Huerdaen Fleet, the R.u.B government has announced a massive expansion of the Military Frontier system of border defence. Refugees are being offered the opportunity to gain the protection of the R.u.B government, and eventual status as Federal or Imperial citizens, in exchange for their military service on the frontier. Many refugees have taken the Union up on this offer, and new colonies of the military frontier have been popping up throughout the Talosian Expanse, as refugees settle in as new Grenzers of the R.u.B Common Army.

Potential Greater Impact(s): The expansion of the military frontier--and increase in available manpower--throughout the Talosian Expanse will no doubt assist the Union in maintaining hold on a territory still unstable from the events of the Frontier War. With a solid foothold on the Delta side, the Imperial & Federal Union will continue its expansion beyond the boundaries of its home cluster, and into open space. The increased security of the area will also improve trade relations, as Charter Companies move into the newly created vacuum.

Description:A Betrican transport vessel has been spotted entering Perseid space within the Thalassa Apophones region of the Sivulon Reach. The Betrican vessel, named Silvitas by its passengers, was carrying hundreds of refugees fleeing from possible pursuers — this hasn't been confirmed by the Perseids yet. Perseid authorities have no idea where the ship came from, but they theorize that they may have come from the coreward regions of the galaxy. A patrol frigate of the Astronautikon had accommodated some of the refugees, who call themselves Betricans, but it doesn't have enough room for them. In fact, crew members were overwhelmed by the sight.

Potential Greater Impact(s): Authorities believe that this ship may be the start of a refugee crisis that will affect the Perseid Federation for years to come, especially if the news of the Omospondia granting asylum to Betricans reaches the ears of more refugee ships. Should more come, the spokesman for Archon Silvanos Onassis has stated, the Perseid Federation will grant them asylum until it is safe for them to return to their location of origin.

*The Perseid Federation was not aware of the Crux Dominion's existence from an IC standpoint.

Description: After seeing the Dominion leave the Galactic Economic and Security Organization another former member of the same group has saw fit to try and reopen relations with their former ally especially after the Dominion has received thinly veiled threats from GESO in the form of wargames. The reopening of relations is also another attempt for the Consortium too expand its influence into the Gamma Quadrant.
Potential Greater Impact(s): With the rising tensions and escalating refugee crisis mounting in Gamma the Consortium allying again with the Dominion has the potential of creating a military and economic power bloc in Gamma that may be able to provide stability for the region or escalate tensions even higher as more star states raise their military capabilities to meet the new perceived threat

A small human smuggling vessel has re-appeared with serious damage and most of its crew dead near the previously nearly-unexplored Quiahuitl System, warning of aggressive, advanced cephalopod-like beings that the shipboard AI has given the informal moniker "Ahuizotl" after the mythical Old Terran Aztec water creature. It apparently was the only ship to escape from a convoy of smugglers and human traffickers carrying refugees from the myriad conflicts going on around the galaxy, which was attacked without warning by a ship of these Ahuizotl. The surviving crew and the shipboard AI claim that they managed to fight off a boarding party, and presented several cadavers, which were extracted from captured exosuits. These peculiar beings are reported to be highly aggressive, and the crew and the AI report that they did not seem to understand any known languages that they tried to use.

The surviving crew have been arrested on charges of smuggling and human trafficking while the relevant authorities investigate.
Potential Greater Impact(s):
Assuming the incident was not somehow staged by these criminals for nefarious purposes of their own, the sudden appearance of a new and apparently aggressive advanced species in the Delta Quadrant could prove to have an interesting ripple effect on the galactic stage. However, more remains to be seen as the so-called "Ahuizotl" emerge.

Upon consideration and the of statutory limits for events to normalize , GESO..Has after sometime of decision beyond group A or B decided to recant its request for its name on an organizational level not to be mentioned. We do stand by our certain concerns that we believe all of FT shares in any group but think a step toward addressing any issues of barriers and how to raze them should start here. Not outlet is perfect; even with the best peer-review however we can all stride to make FT less divided by therefore providing inter-connectivity between events.

In short;for the cohesion of the FT community we recognize that a certain level of professionalism must be maintained on both sides. If we keep a barrier between FT segments no one is a victor, and it would lead to an atrophy of interaction. GESO dose not loose anything by facilitating the movement of ideas, in closing the previous demand for the organization known as the GESO to not be mentioned is officially rescinded.

The surviving crew and the shipboard AI claim that they managed to fight off a boarding party (which they do not know how it managed to get aboard), and presented several cadavers, which were extracted from what are apparently damaged or destroyed combat exosuits. These peculiar beings are reported to be highly aggressive, and the crew and the AI report that they did not seem to understand any known languages that they tried to use. They apparently did attempt to send electrical pulse signals similar to Morse code, but their apparent messages are reported to have been indecipherable.

The surviving crew have been arrested on charges of smuggling and human trafficking while the relevant authorities investigate.

Assuming the incident was not somehow staged by these criminals for nefarious purposes of their own, the sudden appearance of a new and apparently aggressive advanced species in the Delta Quadrant could prove to have an interesting ripple effect on the galactic stage. However, more remains to be seen as the so-called "Ahuizotl" emerge. So far, no official contact has been made, and it may be they are just another rumor in a vast and troubled quadrant or a mere thread in the vast web of lies that is the galactic underworld.
