Okay I got something quick up. I kinda went with a Russia circa WW1 thing, when they went into a Period Preparatory to War combined with Japan around the time the Shogunate was dissolved and it became what it did over the next 40 odd years.

Posting shortly, for reference and to prevent confusion my nation is the Kushan Empire until FT when they leave for a garden world they call Hiigara, until then Hiigara is paradise akin to heaven.

Is it possible to create a anschlusch? Like Austria joined Germany in the 1930ties? The small nation to the north of me looks appealing but going to war over everything is a bit harsh to my people.
Ofcourse i'm not going to call it today i will try to devolve a background story. And have it slowly turned to joining me.

There was actually a Japanese carrier type vessel at the start of the war but I'm using the Argus as a class.

No it came in at 1920...
