2nd Helsarian Civil War (MT, OPEN)

The streets were choked with corpses riddled by bullets. Although the conflict started just four days ago, it has managed to cripple the whole nation. Supreme Marshal Sereter Varsek was inside bunker, along with a few members of the SSP and the Helsarian Security Agency (or HSA, the secret police of the militaristic regime). The military has been ordered to exterminate any and all hostiles, regardless of ethnicity, gender, age or anything.

A small group of communist dissidents were hiding inside a run-down building, taking turns at keeping watch in case the military showed up and tried to kill them. This small group was actually a lookout squad of the Red Helsarian Party (RHP), a political organization which was banned long ago, but continued to exist as an underground guerrilla movement. The RHP has currently started an operation to attempt to capture the Marastoy Military Base, which is 28 kilometers away from Beelziker City, and which contains 2 nuclear missiles. The siege of the base is currently in a stalemate, with neither side managing to gain a decisive victory over the base.

Another faction, calling itself the ''League for Freedom'', has yesterday managed to completely take over Revolution City, and have since been trying to reach peace talks with the government, but any attempt at resolving the conflict peacefully has failed.

The rest of the Helsarian citizens are just randomly looting stores and burning buildings, in order to show their strong opposition to the government.

The LFF (League for Freedom) has addressed this message to the international community:

Greetings, esteemed heads of state.

As you may or may not have heard, there is currently an all-out civil war in Helsary. The conflict is primarily between 2 oppressive groups: our current government, which is a military dictatorship that brutally gets rid of anyone who even lifts a finger against it's atrocities, and a group of communist rebels, who plan on changing the current dictatorship for another. We ask you for your help, either directly or indirectly. Please, help us finally reach a state where people are allowed to think for themselves.

Even though we are not aligned with a faction or another, we will still send several squads of relief workers and medics to help the wounded and homeless because of the war through air, which will arrive in 8 hours. They will be scattered across major cities in the country.

We are requesting the warring powers' leaders to hold peace talks in the capital of Helsary, in which we will mediate. As we are a nation that values peace, we would gladly like to end this conflict through diplomacy rather than fighting.

If you could launch a series of airstrikes against Revolution City, which was completely occupied by rebels, that would be highly appreciated by me. I am willing to pay your country a large amount of money if you would manage to eliminate all rebels or at least cause them enough damage for us to be able to regain control over the city. Don't bother avoiding civilian casualties, everyone who's in there are traitors. The patriots of Revolution City have either died or fled from the separatist horde seeking power.

IC: 3 AC class (equipped with chemical weaponry, high powered missiles and flares) drones approach the island at the far north of Helsaria. An initial scan of the island shows masses of enemy occupied jungle and there it is on the horizon... Revolution city. One of the drones approaches 3 miles above the city and starts to fire upon known militant strong points, whilst the other two remain above the forests waiting for command.

Revolution City:

The rebels of the LFF have retreated inside the sewers and tunnels beneath the city after the initial bombardment. The streets above were completely desolate, full of carbonized corpses. Still, the war goes on in the underground for the LFF, as they are making improvised explosives in a preparation to take over the Gaharev military base, 12 kilometers away from Revolution City.

Beelziker City:

The HAF (Helsarian Air Force) was conducting raids above the city, dropping napalm and phosphor bombs into areas crowded with rioters. Meanwhile, on the surface, the Helsarian Army was fighting a losing battle against the communist rebels, who have acquired secret, high-tech weapons after looting the S.S.P. headquarters in the city center. The S.S.P. now temporarily moved it's headquarters into ''Palace Oblivion'', a huge underground bunker that was built 19 years ago, capable of housing over 90.000 people in the event of a nuclear attack. The S.S.P. is currently trying to determine how many of their secret weapons were stolen by the rebels, and how to take them back or destroy them before the rebels figure out the weapons' full potential.

President Rodriguez sits at his desk reading the plea for help from the LFF and thinks of how he can possible work with the communist rebels and the LFF to meet at commen ground and set up a democratic socialist state but until he figures out a worth wild plan he announces neutrality to the situation and sends an official letter to the the Hillary goverment and both factions.

Upon hearing the news his Royal-Gracefulness Commissioner Callum Frank stands to make a speech to international listeners.

"Once again, I stand here today to address the issue of war. In Helsarian a stupid, in-justified civil war has broken out - sadly. I'd like to remind you all of a story; when I was a young lad, my father - Royal-Gracefulness Commission Mason Frank - said to me one night "As long as we live proudly, wisely and we live as one we will be happy and peace will be achieved. Helsarian obviously needs to start following that phrase and our great nation's motto. If you're wondering if the Isle of Freemen is going to help, the answer is no. No, no, no. This civil war is pathetic, stupid and quite frankly silly, if I didn't know any better I'd say they're playing war like a game. I have to tell you now, war is no game! Lives on innocent men is not something to gamble for stupid reasons. If, and only if, I feel the civil war is causing too many lives of innocent people, I will step in and show Helsarian what war really is, not a game but a non-diplomatic way of taking action. I have also started to load ships with food and drink supplies for the locals if I hear news of them starving.

The way we keep trying for international peace, soon we'll be the international peacekeeping police. Which I don't want to happen, however I am afraid that if wars keeping bursting out the Isle of Freemen will have to go into Isolation to the worlds problems. Tanks roared across the border knocking light and medium brush aside as trees cracked and fell over. Infantry were following close behind, and jets screeched over head to try and assist the
Helsarian forces with airstrikes. Meanwhile, the 6th Infantry Regiment was way ahead of the rest, moving quick in apcs and Humvees. Commander Langlois was waiting patiently in a Humvee till they reached the first town, they earlier received information that it was being used as a communist ammo dump. Before they could even make themselves known a machine gun opened up on them just at the entrance of the town.

Men piled out and scattered, listening to their officers as they were advancing, apcs were returning fire on a group of commies pouring out of an ally way.
The commander and his personal squad assessed the situation and one by one crossed the street making their way into the town. An airstrike was called and
a fighter flew by and strafed the street killing some civilians and commies. For now it seemed it was going to be a long fight in this place.
Commander Langlois reported the situation back to command who forwarded the report to the Helsarian army.

Rodriguez begins to pump pro democratic socialism propaganda into the nation through powerfull speakers who visit the nation and give the people hope and these visitors to the nation in war also put posters up everywhere, hold meetings and rallies with supporters, and try to unite the population that is not at war to push for democratic socialism to be established in the nation regardless of the outcome of the war. (Keep in mind that these are peaceful and rarely break out into violence)

As the rebels retreat into the sewers, The AC class drone starts to disperse a strange coloured mist over Revolution city, a mist which encompasses most of the rebel held areas and seeps down into the sewers. phosgene, a pulmonary poison. it paralyses the lungs of those who breathe it in, stopping respiration. heaps of rebel cadavers fill up sewers as many fall pray to the deathly mist

A group of rebels come out of a building waving there hands above there heads and a white flag. Before all of them are even out of the building an apc opens up on them, cutting them all down.
Soldiers of the 6th Infantry finish the job on the rebels still crawling. The battle in the town is still raging but the Demogorgon forces are pushing in steadily.

[Helsary]

Sereter City:

The city has fallen to the HRP communist rebels, after the remaining members of the military in the city deserted and joined ranks with the rebels. They have gotten their hands on the 4 nuclear missiles in the city's underground military compound and have sent a letter to the Helsarian government and their supporters.

We are the united workers of Helsary. For far too long you oppressed us and kept us slavering away to make ends meet, while you and your associates were leading easy and relaxed lives, away from the people you have oppressed. You shall pay for that. If the Helsarian government and it's allies do not surrender to us within the next 48 hours, we shall have to make use of our newly-acquired nuclear weapons.

We hope you will do the right thing.

Marastoy Military Base:

The HRP has pushed the governmental forces into the underground of the base, capturing the surface. The soldiers fighting for the government have surrendered due to running out of rations, and the HRP has captured the base, along with the 2 WMD's.

Classified Location Inside of Helsary

"The 6th Infantry are still in a bloody fight, and the rebels have made serious
advancements in Sereter City and have taken over a military base." an officer said during an emergency conference.

General Leo Clause was assessing the situation in his mind and stood up. He was the commander of
Demogorgon operations in Helsary. "Alright here it is, we go for the military base first. It'll
be easier to regain that ground than another urban assault." he ordered.
Men started moving and giving orders over telecoms and a battalion of 2500 men
including 2 tank divisions moved to the military base engaging in a bloody fight.

2 AH-64D Apaches arrive with one chinook loaded with a special operations task force (25 soldiers) equipped with gas masks, silenced 80.00cr weaponry, night vision goggles, heat goggles and combat knives land under the cover of dusk in the streets of Revolution city. There is absolute silence when the vehicles land. The poison mist still remains, as a greyish miasma floating over the corpses of the enemy soldiers. Out of the chinook comes the task force, their mission: destroy the rebel chain of command. In the fog they see one. An enemy soldier laying paralysed in the dirt and rubble, gasping for his final breath. He is hauled up of off the ground and injected with what is presumed to be the antidote.
"where are they" asks a armoured, hooded soldier, stabbing a 9 inch blade into the rebel's thigh
The rebel screams in pain and collapses to the floor. He is then dragged over to his addresser, a trail of blood following him.
A note is taken from his jacket pocket and handed to the spec ops leader. Reading the note, the soldier looks down at the rebel. Without hesitation a silenced pistol aimed at the rebel's heart is fired. The soldier looking into the rebel's eyes sees his life force fade as the rebels coils backward, limp, stagnant, deceased.
The note contains a location located in the jungle outside of Revolution city.

The information gathered on the rebels is handed over to the Helsarian government, as the task force have to attend urgent matters within Stagmar.
