Earth Alpha is a combination of Earth and A modern World. We use Earth locations and have more rps involving just about anything in a real world situation but also have realistic earth populations. Note you can do regular rps as well. In Earth Alpha you can choose a location and a population that would fight that location. In example if you were to pick say Canada you would be able to have about 30-50 million in population. Yet if you want to pick different multiple countries ( like Poland, Romania and Western Russia) you could combine certain population of those forming you nation in Earth Alpha.
You can use any encyclopedia you can find for the populations. Like the CIA world factbook or Wikipedia.

There are no limits on the amount of territory but I do ask that you don’t go overboard. For example don’t go picking Russia and the rest of Asia.

Population: 57399160 (Combined number of Portugal and Spain in population. Aragon isn't counted because it's a municipality in Spain or at least was. Gibraltar's population is also accounted for in this number.)
Culture: Presudeo - Castellian Spanish Culture with a mixture of Russian elements. High moral values and a respect for honor and chivalry.
History: The Greater Russo-Spanish Empire was founded in 1100 A.D under Nikolai Yordanov after his campaigning to unify the warlords of Spain, Portugal, Aragon and the surrounding low-countries. In 1200 The Island of Gibraltar thusly named "The End of the World" by the Greeko-Romans is conquered in the name of the Empire. Resilient and strong it has survived for more than eight hundred years almost continuously under the control of the Yordanov family. (Short but it should suffice?)

Nation name: The Workers Soviet Republic

History: just as a suggestion I think it should be a fusion of RL and alternate.
I follow the history of the Russian state/Ussr until 1990.

On the Eve of the USSR's collapse an enterprising general by the name of Ivan Katushka Seizes his home region of Leningrad. Following the lethargy of the governmental response he rallies to him fully half of the Soviet Military. What follows is a ten year civil war ending in may of the year 2000 AD. Over the course of the war many territories were lost to the now renamed W.S.R but the Ukraine and Poland were held. Estonia and Latvia broke away until 2005 when the Red army unleashed it's full fury against the small republics. Now with it's immediate neighbors firmly under the re-newed banner of Communism the WSR entered a phase of social progress from 2005 to 2010. The populaiton crisis of 2008-9 caused a massed governmental relocation campaign that replenished the state's population to pre-WSR levels. The economic style of this new shadowy Marxist state leads to increased prosperity amongst the middle and lower classes and the rule of the government is assured by the 2012 elections. Winning in a land slide victory the Communist party retains it's gains and unfurls the newest evolution of the Scarlet Banner. A new Premier Mr. Dmitri Granin is named, it remains to be seen as to whether his rule is one of progress.

Yes we should begin at once to attract new members, let's first off decide a general history like if WW2 happened and so on, any changes to the basic structure of the modern world, and limitations for technology. I think we should start with the tech issue. Should we keep it real weapons only? or realistic designs? Also can anyone make a forum?

History:

Originally seperate countries under Brotosh control this all fell apart after the New Zealand Land Wars that lasted from 1838 to 1856. This caused the British Empire to lose a inferior equipped and native population, this also lead to the rebelling of several nations under British Control near New Zealand, although the bristish were able to quell these rebellions by 1873 they were left weakned and tired and left all the colonies east of the suez canal, because of the time left to the maori from 1856 and the capture of several british ships they started a campaign abroad and werre able to colonise and defeat the native of populations of australia, papua new guinea and parts of polynesia, the rest of polynesia ceded to the maori after threating of destruction, this ad all been accomplished by 1905 and afterwards was fairly isolated until 1939, where the japanese attacked the then Polynesian Empire, this lead them to side with the allies and led to the defeat of japan, germany and italy, then they went back to isolation, however was more known and face showing then before.

They have kept a one of the most feared Armies in the world due not to size but the sheer skill and ability of Maori Warriors, there navy and airforce however leave much to be desired.
