With so many people wanting to join, how will it work? Everyone against OP? Sides? :?:

I might be interested, but more or less in a secondary role and as a mentor, and it depends on the quality of the thread. I have defense contractors I could supply.

Well we need to start with a reason for the conflict.

One idea is of unsanctioned aggression towards an allied nation. For example, somebody wants to blockade a particular nation to choke them off from commerce, or foreign aid. Krytak is very pro-national sovereignty. We typically don't interfere in the internal workings of other nations unless they directly interfere with us or our allies. So if someone wants to step up and be the initial aggressor, and someone wants to be the nation that is attacked, speak up. We have no problem joining the conflict in support of the national sovereignty of the nation under attack.

Another idea would be a rogue nation, or new government wanting to assert itself, and go throw it's weight around. They could have a case of state sanctioned piracy aimed at disrupting trade to nations that might be a threat to their new leader, or to intentionally block foreign aid to the legitimate government. This scenario only requires an initial aggressor, waging a small conflict on anyone who they get in their sights. The nations affected by that would band together and declare war, and nations sharing the political ideology of the aggressor would come to their defense.

Anybody have any other ideas?

I like both of these ideas; hard to decide.

In the end, I think the op has the final say as what starts it off, but I'm open to pretty much anything.

I think a good idea would be like you said, one nation blockading another. However, this blockade also affects another nation. The blockaded nation then supports the first nation's rival, who has attacked one of first nation's allies, causing first nation to step in and attack rival nation. Blockaded nation then starts invading first nation.

Also, since there are a lot more people joining, we can safely replace some "nation"-s with "nations."
*cough* I used the word, "nation" too much in this post *cough*

The opening poster obviously lost interest in the thread, so I will be withdrawing from it too. Shame, it could have been fun...

I'm of course open to any sort of dispute, whether it be military, economic, diplomatic, all of the above, whatever.
