The Republic of Abkhazia-Adjara Official Government Communique  “Abkhazia Lives On” Date: January 11, 2015 To: The Governments of the World We are proud to announce the declaration of independence of The Republic of Abkhazia-Adjara. The Republic of Abkhazia-Adjara was founded after the crumbling de facto nation, The Adjara Peoples Republic and the semi-stable de facto nation (used to belong to Georgia but there is an heavy presence of Russian Military troops as of after the 2008 Georgian-Russian war) the Republic of Abkhazia signed an agreement to merge the two nations together, making The Republic of Abkhazia-Adjara. Abkhazia has been noted as the Sovereign State, and Adjara as the Territorial State. This means all state matters (excluding the government) will be under the name of Abkhazia. Abkhazian Army have re-taken control of several towns and villages under control by the Georgian Military. We have also destroyed and taken over camps and air force bases being used by the Georgian Military on our border, and destroyed several road blocks.
