Vladimir is immune to her feminine charms

He lost his sex drive in the war. That and probably other things....

That would explain why he's so grumpy.

Maybe she can still help him feel like a man again.

Heh

Maybe not him, but I know of a few people in the squadron who would.

But I digress.

Is it too late to join any of the current operations?

Jackel should still be open, it's a bit of a fuster-cluck at present.

Firestorm is wrapping up, so I don't think you'll be doing much there, blind knife is full, and jackel appears to be open, but quite confusing.

It looks like the basic mission for that is to capture or assassinate an arms dealer, right?

Can we have a new OP for that mission? The current one has not posted for a while.

Unless he comes back, we'll have to scratch it.

DEN, I assume Vladimir will allow Leighton's squad to go off and find the STU, correct?

I have absolutely no issue with that. As long as we have a good group together to get the VP, then I have no complaints. Hell, it might help.

Honestly Cong, there are a few other tasks to complete other than the rescue op. If you want to try to locate the STU you can since I think Hurty is going to tackle the Anti-Air defenses. At that juncture, you could just take one of the 5 soldiers with you and walk on out.

In other news, Mon's medics are also highly-qualified veterinarians.

Also, chances are URA may want to stick with the Hurti squad, unless they like unpleasant surprises without a paddle.

BTW, happy Thanksgiving. Best made-up holiday ever.

I may split up my squad, but yeah. Depends.

Yes. Yes we will.

Well I was hoping it'd be operating at least in pairs.

How many people (troops) do we have in Blind knife?

I've got two. DEN appears to have four still alive, and URA brought his usual team of four.

Not sure what Cong is bringing, I only saw two sets of names plus an AI.

It's my usual four (Leighton - squad lead, Thomas - ammo and explosives (for this mission, at least), John - marksman, Charles - drones), and they've all set off to find the STU. Also they have Sholokhov with them.

By the way, what sort of radios does Kayora have built into her? What's her communications range? Can she talk to satellites?

None. Currently, she can plug into her rifle/gun-launcher's sighting system for better realtime-control over a spotting-round, and maybe even plug into a standard radio and create a sort-of presence over a Wi-Fi network if things get loud.

Those plugs were originally developed for hardwiring her into a mech, permenently; not for visiting internet chatrooms while on missions.

BTW, Kayora had children/offspring, emphasis on past-tense. Gothart went the full-measure to try erasing all evidence of their human-rights violations.

Note to self: taking a double-shot of brandy makes posting and/or walking in a straight line difficult in less than 15 minutes.
-No making fun of Hurty being a featherweight in terms of getting ridiculously plastered. He's fighting a flu with home-made booze.

DEN's reaction to reading this is in here somewhere

OK, due to college life and family visits, seemingly every week, the Operation Jackel RP is going to be put on hold until I can find the time to continue it.

URA brought five. Jackie, Koopa, Ninja, Tarzan, Oreo.

I'd appreciate URA and DEN not sticking with Hurty since he's going on a secondary objective. Are you sure you want to do that?

I'm sure it was mentioned in the past, but I can't remember: How old is Kayora, and how old was she when you, er... stole her?

Also, I didn't realize she wasn't frequently plugged into computerized attachments to some degree. I have a million questions about her and her mind work. Regrettably, Those will have to wait until they come up on some IC, though, because I doubt I could keep myself from accidentally metagaming if I knew the answers OOC and not IC. If it's not sorted out by then, the answers will defiantly become apparent in Rebellious Citadel.

That reminds me, I do hope she will be joining us for that operation, because I cannot emphasize enough how much the mission does not work without her. If she is unavailable when the MAAPS is abducted, the Congreveopian government will probably just scrap the mission plan and destroy the multi-billion dollar vehicle instead.

EDIT:
Monfrox wrote:

I think it leads to an okay ratio actually:

-Primary objective: ~7 Atlas + 1 Monfrox
-Anti-air objective: ~4 Atlas + 1 Monfrox
-STU objective: 4 Atlas + 1 Monfrox

The only concerning part is that we're splitting a squad to do that, and that a group of 5 people ends up spanning 3 units. I think the limited number on the primary objective is okay, though, because the objective doesn't appear to be time critical on a small timescale (at least not until the enemy is alerted), so the Primary objective group can wait for the Congreveopians to return or the AA to be dealt with if they think they'll need additional support.
