Well, we either do that or clandestine marine insertion. Not that many options to get a platoon-size troop of operators with heavy equipment into a hostile city.

Personally, I was thinking of a HAHO insertion in the dead of night. That keeps the low profile, and allows for many people to be inserted.

If we're planning on assassinating a King, the assault on the port could be handled by whoever's marines, send TF Atlas in via HALO or Scuba insertion, go quiet then hoof it from the IP and attack the compound? Basically the assault on the port itself could act as a diversion while Atlas converge on the King's compound. I personally don't want to have to fight through an entire city to get one man, let the main force handle the direct contact.

Also, is it cool if I go ahead and post AWD's arrival in Caesar?

Well, one of my supercarriers will be right behind them, if you're willing to escort it. I'll lend you a battalion of my Sentinels to help in your assault, they're your's for the operation.

Might I suggest one of my planes? I have the B-51 Stealth bomber, and it can drop troops from it's bomb bay instead of bombs if it has the proper modifications. Holds 100 soldiers.

Well, one of my battalions is 1,000 troops, so you may not need to commit that many if you take that battalion.

Oh, I can certainly commit soldiers to the assault, say, a division? I should make it look at least CONVINCING, and not some half assed attempt. That being said, I will take the battalion. Ten thousand is so hard to move via ship in an inconspicuous way.

So, any one else here getting majorly involved? If there is, I'm probably gonna ante up the invasion force to a larger one. Maybe a Corps.

Definitely would not need a corps to temporarily hold a city. This isn't an invasion, it's a diversion. A division with an attached battalion would be more than enough.

And if you need a marine assault ability, I have a good amount of ACLCs and MLCs.

I can provide up to two Sovremennyy class Destroyers for a naval bombardment on Port facilities for the assault, or keep them at hand as fire support for Atlas, armed with four twin barelled 130mm naval cannons.

For Atlas' insertion, I'd suggest inserting via scuba to the coast from a helicopter, or via RHIBs as a HALO jump would leave forces scattered over a heavily fortified AO in an active battlezone.

Atlas in general and the nations specifically have no reason to enter into a war of aggression against this nation, only the one assassination.

But hey, if you wanna keep fighting after Atlas does their job, then you can talk to Nova about the war effort.

You know what. How about we follow the initial idea behind Atlas and we don't have any carriers or anyhing like that. Instead how about a few teams go in to assassinate the team while the remainder make a diversion at the port. I mean this is Atlas right? Not a war RP. That means that we only use the teams that have been sent in. No help from the outside.
