Oh God you're actually going to do it.

A thousand Spetsnaz. That is a lot of Special Forces to deploy into one very condensed area for a very short length of time. Logistically it's horrifying, the body count is horrifying, and projected casualties on my mind are horrifying as well. Horrifying for the enemy mainly, but something about throwing wave after wave of well-trained men at a heavily fortified position just sounds wrong.

How is it horrifying logistically? They're onboard an aircraft carrier.

Just so you know, Spetznaz isn't that much of a special forces unit in DEN. It's akin to the Marine's Recon. Basically, it's naval infantry. Yes, they are categorically 'Special Forces', as they are trained a lot, but honestly? I have over 250 thousand of them.

As for wave after wave? Bah. It's not wave after wave. If I was going to do it, I would open a path for the soldiers via artillery and cruise missiles.

Fair enough. Logistically it's just if those were well supplied top notch SF guys you'd be throwing away a lot of top-grade gear. Personally I'd prefer to just bypass the city entirely and hit the compound itself, just run some air raids or naval batteries at the port to provide the distraction instead of sending in the extra men for the assault. Something tells me extraction is going to be a little messy with that amount of boots on the ground, unless NS actually intends to occupy this settlement as part of his strategy.

Biography of Unit: The Imperial Commandos were created in the 1970's when a need for unconventional warfare was needed. Since there formation their missions have been expanded to include counter terrorism operations, unconventional warfare, hostage rescue, and special missions.

The standard operating team consists of six personnel, each with an assigned job in the team. Typically team lead, sniper, two assault personnel, communications, and medic.

Many facts about the commandos are classified and thus no more information may be given.

So, the green stuff is good to. I love the detail you go to in equipment, it's amazing. The weaponry is just a list of options, correct, not gear that goes out all the time, right? I ask that for everyone.

The Yellow stuff needs work, obviously. If you look at some of the other apps that have been posted on this thread, you'll see what the standards usually are. Just, you know, expand upon what you have, add detail, and for God's sake, don't use the classified excuse. You can say it's classified, but explain it anyways. You don't get to pull that on an OOC application.

Red's a no-no. I see you have a low post count, so that's okay if you don't have anything to link, we've all been there. However, no, your application doesn't speak at all for your RP'ing or writing ability. Your equipment is just a listing, albeit a good one, and your biography is lacking, so your claim isn't set on anything. For an RP example, you can make up a random situation and RP it out for a medium-length or so post, basically a paragraph or so.

So, you know, work on that stuff, and you'll be all set.

Biography of Unit: The Imperial Commandos were created in the 1970's when a need for unconventional warfare was needed. Since there formation their missions have been expanded to include counter terrorism operations, unconventional warfare, hostage rescue, and special missions.

The standard operating team consists of six personnel, each with an assigned job in the team. Typically team lead, sniper, two assault personnel, communications, and medic.

Selections are held twice yearly, in summer and winter. Selection lasts for five weeks and normally starts with about 200 potential candidates.[81] On arrival candidates first complete a Personal Fitness Test (PFT).
They then march cross country against the clock, increasing the distances covered each day, culminating in what is known as Endurance: a 40 miles (64 km) march with full equipment scaling and descending a 840 meter tall cliff in 20 hours.[81] By the end of the hill phase candidates must be able to run 4 miles in 30 minutes and swim two miles in 90 minutes.
Following the hill phase is the jungle phase. Candidates are taught navigation, patrol formation and movement, and jungle survival skills. Candidates finish training in battle plans and foreign weapons and take part in combat survival exercises, the final one being the week-long escape and evasion. Candidates are formed into patrols and, carrying nothing more than a tin can filled with survival equipment, are dressed in old uniforms and told to head for a point by first light. The final selection test is arguably the most gruelling: resistance to interrogation (RTI), lasting for 36 hours.
Typically, 15–20% of candidates make it through the hill phase selection process. From the approximately 200 candidates, most will drop out within the first few days, and by the end about 30 will remain. Those who complete all phases of selection are rewarded with a transfer to an operational squadron.
