The rules at this point are more a suggestion to staunch wankery. Seeing as how we have cyborgs, animal-people, androids, exoskeletons and the like.... I think it's obvious I make exceptions as long as you're serious about RP'ing seriously.

Going as far back as possible, I can guarantee that my tech at that level is only a notch above technothriller. Powered exoskeletons are pretty basic, and merely equip their operators with increased strength for extra weight capacity and the ability to perform a few feats of otherwise superhuman strength. It's a far cry from Iron Man, put simply. In addition, active camo at this stage is very expensive and only mildly effective.

Yeah, pretty much. BO3 and AW are alright benchmarks for my tech level at that stage, sans a few things here and there.

In all seriousness though, what are the upper limits of permitted tech? I ask because my primary canon is technically set in 2150--certainly too far ahead to qualify--but I can probably go all the way back to about 2035 for a timeframe to set my special-forces outfit in.
