Well this morning I had an appointment at a place called the "Bayou Barn" with my fiance. We decided it was going to be our venue for our wedding, and we finally set a date. April 8, 2017.
So a very good day here in New Orleans for the Shaz Man.

Yeah, that sounds good. Have a quick not-officially-TFA war involving the TFA nations that are looking for a war, and that way I don't have to rush to finish RC to oblige people and I can take it and the following war at a sensible pace. I like it.
Need a hand designing the scenario, maps, forces, anything?

I had completed the whole thing a while ago, however the scale of the operation was...well...very very large. So it got scrapped until we got around to fixing it. The map doesnt need work as Its perfect. However I need to know where to start afterwards.

So, first thing's to figure out the plot/cause-of-the-conflict, I'd say. And the first question we need to ask there is: do we want all of us to be on the same side? Because that determines whether the OPFOR will be obviously evil so that everyone can gang up on them, or have a more nuanced position so that people can take either side.
Form an OOC perspective, having the "teams" too imbalanced in terms of players can be a problem, just because the larger "team" will always be waiting for posts from the smaller one, just because there are more of them so they can collectively post faster. So I'd say we want a nuanced position.
There are many forms that the nuanced position can take, to my mind, but they all revolve around an issue that a reasonable nation can take either side on. For example: "Is it better to ensure stability in a region or try to help the civilian population? (civil war: support the dictator's regime or the revolutionaries)" or "Is communism or capitalism better? (international war: support the communist nation or the capitalist one)" or "Is international law more important than my economy? (international war: support the attacked nation to show warmongering will not be tolerated or support the imperialistic nation for a cut of the spoils)"
So, with the "The Socialist Liberators" plotline, what I'd say is make the group mainly consists of citizens of the nation in question, either working with foreign military equipment or even with equipment stolen from the army. Then make the government somewhat corrupt and morally questionable (president in power past term limits, etc). Then its a battle of well-intentioned but potentially destructive revolutionaries versus a government that's not the best but is at least stable. So nations will have to choose whether they optimistically believe The Socialist Liberators can create a strong nation, or whether it's better to side with the devil they know and prop up the current government.
How does that sound to people?Die erworbenen Namen wrote:Well, RC will probably tie into it. Deteriorate things a bit.

I think we should leave it unconnected to RC. Say it happens a bit earlier, and we'll leave the RC war until we know how RC ends.
Also, maybe we should create an OOC for this and take this conversation there, because it's no longer really a PW thing.

Yes, this definantly sounds like a good idea, it probably shouldn't be connected to RC.
