Primary - M4A4, M249, MP7

Biography of Unit:
VSF1 is relatively new on the scene. This unit is the top counterterrorism/unconventional warfare detachment in the Vannish Empire. They specialize mainly in urban operations. As Vangaziland is often a wintry tundra, alpine and deep snow operations are also a main focus. This team focuses on bringing direct and indirect fires to the heart of the enemy. Each team carries a JTAC, an air controller who focuses only on dealing with the utilization of Close Air Support. There are many other types of SF units in Vangaziland. They take over other tasks, such as training foreign militaries. VSF1, on the other hand, only exists to combat negative foes and extend the olive branch of peace through the enemy, one way or another.
Short Profiles on Operators (Optional): (I let my characters write themselves)
RP Experience (Example or Link):Forward Operating Base - Valor
The fleet of armored personnel carriers and tanks were lined up. Trucks were dropping off supplies like ammo and food to the line vehicles. Vangaziland alone was providing 160 APCS to help move themselves, Ceneria and Bratislav. Globus also had a line of APCs. As did Guerro. There was also a group of about 35 tanks that would lead the formation. Ceneria would also be providing 6 self-propelled howitzers that would move out escorted and set up an artillery firing point.
Two large fuel trucks were moving down the line, stopping at each vehicle and fueling them up. The Vannish Army was known for its logistics. They had trucked into Guerro with a huge convoy. Now their supplies were starting to run out... Only starting to. But if they could secure this airport, they could bring in regular supply runs.
Especially needed were gasoline and oil to help fuel the many Vehicles in theater.
A convoy brief was going on, where the order of movement and the exact plan was being discussed. The trucks were organized into serials, ie groups that were leaving at slightly different times with slightly different routes.
Each platoon would have a map of where they would be going, meaning how they would get to the airport, which way their vehicles would split once they reached it and even maps of the area of the airport they would be controlling. Some units were told where they would be posting up. Others learned where they would meet their vehicles for a pickup and return to the FOB.
The Vannish Rangers were ready to participate in this historic event. Now they basically had to wait until it became dark.
The ground plan was to encircle the airport and slowly close in. Infantry would infiltrate the terminals and many other buildings and clear them while the vehicles locked down the many roads, paths and taxiways... Meanwhile, the Guerrans and the Mirevians would be air dropping into the center of the airfield to control the most important buildings and runways. The Bratislavians were going into an area where there were a lot of hostages. There might be some in other buildings, but most had been gathered into that one area.
It would be a complex operation, but not an impossible one. This would be the second Vannish mission to retake an airfield. The last time, it was the Marines in UFR. Now it was the Rangers here in Guerro.
Meanwhile in Senice
"Sir we've got 4 Guerran soldiers coming towards us." One sergeant had called out to his lieutenant.
The lieutenant, call sign two-six, made his way to the first floor where first squad was staying. It took the Guerran soldiers a few moments to catch up.
"Welcome", said 2-6 "What brings you to our OP."
The Guerran mentioned food, breakfast and supplies.
"Oh, the truck didn't get you? They probably didn't know where you guys were staying. Let us know and we'll make sure you get added to the next morning run. We are running low, but not that low.. Trust us. The Vannish Army, is a well fed army. We will drop food in the fields before we starve, so don't worry. Now fuel is another thing."
They walked to a room where leftover breakfast had been sitting. It was probably going to be dinner for some of troops. But it would be better off going to the Guerrans. The Mermite trays were already sealed, so it was a matter of picking them up.
The Vannish 1LT got on his radio. "2-2 this is 2-6, get your squad ready to escort these Guerrans back to their OP and help them carry this food."
"This is 2-2 roger." The voice crackled over the lieutenants hand held radio. An RTO was behind him with a manpack radio, used for company and battalion nets..
"Second Squad will watch your back and help you make your way back. I wish we still had our trucks, but they are on patrol. I heard something might be happening at the airfield with them too. So next time you come back, you might get MREs.
He pointed to a stack of boxes. Each one was filled with 12 "Meals Ready to Eat". The wall was full of them. Once we finish securing our new logistical route, we can deliver these to you as well.
The men of second squad showed up.
"Alright, we'll see you around", 2-6 said. Some of the lower ranking soldiers of the squad grabbed some of the containers of breakfast. One grabbed two boxes of MREs. This left 5 Vangazi watching their backs unencumbered, including the SAW gunner.
They listened to last words from the Guerrans before setting out, back into the city, food in tow, headed to the Guerran position. As the heavy equipment was being transferred onto trucks, an advance element was moving by helicopter to secure the organizations' foothold on the island. From the helicopter, one could see the sparse groupings of trees slowly become more dense until the metallic birds flew over a wooded area. The trees surrounded a winding river. A few children, who had been sipping water, looked up at the flight of helicopters and took off running back towards a small, red house.
Lt. Cmdr. Brannick Harlo of the Vannish Navy had been watching the scene from a Pavehawk helicopter. He was going to be in charge of the Vannish military personnel in this operation. He had 900 Vannish sailors under his watch in what translates into a battalion sized element. The unit was a detachment under command of the 35th Civil Affairs Squadron (Naval), one of the most highly funded and utilized humanitarian units in the world.
He tried to point out the scene to his XO, a Lieutenant. She didn't notice.
Soon the wooded area turned into a clearing. The grasses below swirled in the rotor wash as the large flock of vehicles were on their final descent. After flying over a tall wall, the helicopters flew a few dozen feet above empty roads and barrack structures. Everything was eerily quiet. The base had been maintained by a skeleton crew of security personnel and observers from the Wrexwic Army. Again, the government forces were little more than observers out here in these rural provinces.
A few fuel trucks were parked next to a long concrete path; this must have been the heliport. A few soldiers wearing the Wrexwic Army Uniform became visible, guiding the helicopters in for their final approach. Soon the helicopters had descended. Harlo's helicopter landed next to a larger CH-53. Soldiers were in the process of unloading pallets of water.
It was only a matter of time until the Lt. Cmdr. was strolling along the helipad, trying to get involved with guiding some of the helicopters in. He stood next to one of the Wrex soldiers on the flight line, thinking of a way he could offer advice.
The sound of his executive officer got his attention. "Sir, we have to move." Both officers turned towards the CH-53. Some of the aircrew had been trying to unload a pallet and it looked like there had been a spill. Water bottles were starting to roll all over the helipad.
This base was usually used a hub for Wrexwic military units as they train or operate in this region. Only a small Wrexwic detachment was on location at this time. Most of this space would be open to FSA and Purple Cross Personnel. The Purple Cross could convert parts of this base into a secure hospital where they could treat the locals and conduct experiments in a secure environment.
A bright white civilian helicopter came in for a landing. It carried the field team leaders of the Purple Cross. Most of that organization's personnel would be arriving by ground convoy with the majority of the group.
It would take a little while for the people on the ground to secure all the unloaded gear, but the helicopters had already begun to return to the air. Soon the overwhelming roar of engines faded into silence. The Pavehawk that the Naval Command Team had been riding in had turned off its engine. It would be available for the unit and not be returning to a ship.
The FSA and the Order of the Purple Cross were now on the ground in Wrexwic.

Is there a particular way you'd like me to introduce the team?
