2. No. Just, no. That is not how this works. The Pz III's would be melted down and reused for anything else. They were already shit by the end of WW2. They'd be a waste of supplies, money and people. You'd be throwing tankers to their death, and if used for anything other then combat they'd be so inefficient that'd you'd still have to melt them down to make something even a hair better.

As for the skies, that's not at all how it works in modern combat. Not one bit. These days, a single modern jet can completely wreck anything from that era with the pilot's hand's tied behind his back, blindfolded, and getting an inflight meal. There is no reason to ever use either of those.

Well, the etire operation was aboard the aircraft carrier on the way to the infected city. We never got to the city, and I think NEC just basically cordoned it off. We could always go into the city for some MacGuffin or another like a month or two after the city was blockaded off.

While your Panzers of the German 'military' fire potatoe guns at my tanks, I could wipe them out dozens of miles out of your range with not even a blink of an eye. While your Luftwaffe struggle to take off, 50- even 160 km away I already launched my missiles at you.

I'm operating under the assumption that I can just use their own weapons against them while sitting cozy in their APCs with armor thick enough to bounce a 50mm cannon-shell.

Also bearing in mind that a portion of my military was designed around slaying truckloads of zombies that may or may not be mentally competent enough to hold a firearm.

Anyways, IRL, the FW-190G ended up replacing the Ju-87 for ground-pounding on the Eastern-front, where the up-armored/gunned '190 earned a dubious distinction of being the absolutely-least maneuverable 'fighter-plane' of the entire war. Only well-liked because the wider undercarriage made it better at rough-field crosswind landings than the '109s.
-In terms of engines, the Jumo 004 was cheaper than the engines of the '109 and '190, and could (and did) burn pretty much anything that could flow through the fuel-lines.

Better uses of the old junks is to use them for training and glider/target-tugging. Or as target-drones. Same goes for the tanks, remove the explody-bits, park on the arty-range, and fill with concrete. The gunnies will love you.
