th Soldiers examined the room and noticed Fredrik was still alive, one of the men alerted Leonardo "sir, he's still alive". leonardo walked up the fredrick who was no laid down on his back desperatly trying to stop his shoulder from bleeding him out. when he noticed leonardo " VAr got away, now you're FUCKED. *coughs up blood*, he'll kill you and turn this pathetic nation into a true superpower". leonardo looked down at fredrik with disgust " Th CIS is already on th world stage, you'll do nothing but kill her". Frdrik let out a laugh, "ON THE WORLD STAGE?!?!, you SOLD your freedom to Vladimir, and made your nation a patsy". "i saved the CIS, otherwise we would'be been destroyed by the glory and steel". "SURE , sure. keep telling yourself that leonardo, but you want to know how your father REALLY died?". leonardo looked interested. "we poisoned his medication and now......he's dead along with his b*tch of a wife. and here you are leonardo, alone, and soon to be kiled by the facist party". leonardo loaded his pistol behind his back and pointed it at Fredrik.

"then i'll see you in valhalla jork"

Garens duel.

Çelmarin Capitol building, 1916
Garens quarters
6:49PM

As he picked up his fathers sword, Garen knew that this would be the last time one of the men around him breathed. He couldn't kill Sumal, And he couldn't fully trust the spymaster. But he had to make a choice, one that no one would expect. He turned to face his opponent... The spymaster. It was clear now that he wasn't Moorwhyneic, the way he fluently spoke Hungarian and the way he looked gave it away. Garen had a stunning realization, the spymaster may not honor this duel. He had to push all of that past him, he had no trouble believing that the spymaster killed Cilia. But it was just as easy to believe Sumal had a part in it as well. Garen could trust no one.

Garen: So Janos, It has come to this, a duel
Janos(the spymaster): I don't wish to duel you sir! But if you take hostile action I will retaliate!
Sumal: Cut the shit Janos we know what you did!
Sumal makes steps toward Garen, Garen whips around to point his sword at Sumal's neck*
Garen: Don't think just because I'm dueling him you can approach me! For all I know you had a part in this to.

Garen turned around to find the spymaster in dueling pose. As Garen got a feel for his fathers sword, he couldn't help but wonder how or why a non Moorwhyneian would go through all of the trouble to learn a language and a culture, just to assassinate him. What would Janos gain? A puppet nation, the sultan would cut him down before he could praise Allah. But nonetheless Garen had to fight, for his families honor. Garens sword was a rapier while Janos had a wicked short scimitar of Baltic origin. Garen would have the range advantage but Janos only needed one hit to hack of a limb.

The fight began. Garen and Janos circled each other ominously, like two predators ready to pounce. Janos struck first his blow barely dodged by Garen. The fight went on for a good 2 minutes like that, Swinging, dodging, blocking, stabbing. Neither of them managed to do damage, until Garen parried Janos and pierced his left shoulder. It was a bad blow, Janos was growing tired of fighting. As Sumal gazed on the most glorious fight in his life, he noticed that Janos was reaching into his back coat pocket...

Metal shined, warped black metal. Without thinking Sumal rushed at Garen.
Garen turned only just in time to be tackled out of the 3rd story window by someone resembling an angry god.

The sounds of braking glass were only priced by revolver and rifle rounds, and the pained cries of a beast of war.

Sumal and Garen crashed into the hedges of a garden on the far side of Çelmarin Capitol building. Sumal picked up a loud and very angry(but luckily disarmed) Garen Brunhile, and began sprinting towards the outside of the estate. Sumal kept running until they were almost in the suburbs of Çelmarin. Then he collapsed dropping Garen.

Garen: Sumal? Hey, Sumal you ok?
Garen flipped over his childhood friend and mentor, and was horrified by what he saw. 4 tears in Sumals clothing turning his military uniform a dark red.

Garen: NO, GODDAMNIT!. Stay with me you big bastard, come on!
Sumal: Go Garen... don't make my death for *coughs up blood... Nothing...

Garen: NO! Don't even talk like that, Your coming with me! Wither I have to drag you or you walk!
Sumal: ... I..I appreciate your... concern Garen. but I will... *coughs.. only slow you.. down.

Garen put his trench coat over Sumal's face and body, then began as promised to drag him. Garen dragged his friend for about 30 minutes before collapsing with exhaustion.

Garen: I'm.. NOT going to lose anyone else!
Sumal: Garen listen to me... Remember my last words..
Garen: Tell them to your wife on your deathbed friend, I don't need to know them!

Sumal grabs the dirt and stops Garen. Garen drops the makeshift sled and sits down next to Sumal.

Garen: What are your last words friend?
Sumal: ..... My death is not in vain... Moorwhyne yet lives...
Garen grabs Sumal's hand with one last brotherly shake.
Sumal: I... Have never felt.. so alone Sumal's hand goes limp

Farewell... friend

A single tear was shed by Garen, as he left Sumal's side...

For the last time...

Çelmarin National address stage, early 1917

4:00PM

János Irinyi, the new king of Moorwhyne addresses the crowd in a flawless Moorwhyneic accent.

"My people, brothers, sisters, workers, nobles. It is with great sadness that I confirm our prime minister was assassinated on December 28th 1916. By none other then Sumal Gaest, Garen Brunhile's friend and mentor, and prime commander in the Moorwhyneic army. We are happy to report that we executed Sumal on the spot.
*Wild cheer's from the crowd

I will now be taking over as the acting Prime Minister for the United Kingdom of Moorwhyne, and I have great visions for this country. One's that will hopefully keep us safe, from the world and from ourselves.

That will be all".

The crowd claps as János, the spymaster turned king exits the stage, and a huge banner of the new kings face is unraveled behind the stage.

[Reykjavik, Vahn]

Wilco finished reading the telegram and surveyed the faces of the men assembled in the Premier's office. The two diplomats attached to relations with Moorwhyne wore disingenuous expressions of concern, less for the late leader of Moorwhyne, and more for the future of their careers. The Spymaster, sitting in his chair away from the group as is customary for him, wore a mask of contemplation. The Premier's bodyguards held grim looks and cast sideways glances at the Premier of War, S. Jun, who frowned furiously into his beard.

The Premier himself was characteristically stoic. He had bridged his fingers in front of his mouth, concealing half his face. His glasses obscured any clear observation of his eyes. To most, he would seem apathetic. Wilco has known him long enough to tell from his posture that he was rattled.

Premier Kador gestured to his bodyguards, who proceeded to usher the diplomats out before shutting the doors to his office. Wilco lit a cigar and began pacing as Kador began to speak.

Kador: God damn it. I know world leaders live within a day of the void, but Garen? He wasn't much older than me.
Sven Jun: There were men gunning for you two months ago. Remember your tour of Scotland? You almost returned in a coffin. Hel, there's been five attempts since those men broke in here 2 years ago.

Wilco understood Kador's outrage. Kador and Garen had met while Kador was in exile. They had apparently become friends in some capacity.

K: *Looks intently at the spymaster* Do you recognize this Janos Irinyi man from anywhere?
Spymaster: *a troubled look crosses his face* Strangely, no, I don't.
K: How is that strange?
SM: Men like Irinyi leave a trail of some sort. This man, as far as my sources can gather, HAS no trail. No past that stands up to critical examination. He could be from anywhere, be anyone.
K: So you don't trust him.
SM: I don't trust anyone. *Pauses* But I'd be weary around this man.
K: Thank you.

Kador nodded and dismissed him. The Spymaster stood, bowed, and exited. Kador turned towards the Prmier of War.

K: Jun, are the ships in position near Greenland?
SJ: Yes. Just waiting from the words from me. I'm just waiting for the words from you.
K: Just as I'm waiting for world from Prusko. I think that'll be all for today. Stay for a moment though.

After Kador says this, Wilco strides to a cabinet at the far side of the room.

Wilco: Need some medicine?
K: Yes please
SJ: Damn right I do.

Wilco returns to the Premier's desk with a large bottle of liqueur and three glasses. Wilco pours the whiskey and passes the glasses to the men beside him. Jun quickly downs his while Kador stared into the glass, as if he could divine some guidance from the potent liquid that filled it. His face hardened, as if in determination, and he drank.

OOC: Too long? Tell me. I hope this doesn't interfere with your plans for the story Moorwhyne!

The Mediterranean Sea, 1917

Captain Szoke Ferdinánd looked out from the balcony of the SMS Tegetthoff, one of Austria-Hungary's greatest battleships and now similarly among the pride of the Vaelgracht Kreigsmarine. As the waves crashed over the sides of the ship, he heard some call out to him.

"Linienschiffskapitän Ferdinánd! Großadmiral Vaelhjmr is on the line," said Szoke's lieutenant and translator, Albert Herrman.

"Hm. What does he want this time I wonder? Albert, have you gotten that little dispute settled between our Hungarian gunners and Croatian engineers?"

"Yes sir, but it seems the Italian sailors have started a fight with the Austrians in the engine rooms. Something about a woman? Or maybe several, I don't know."

Szoke sighs, rubbing his temples. "Thank you Albert. Get the translators down there and patch things up please." One of the problems with have such a diverse empire was the vast number of languages spoken by its military personnel. Translators were in short supply and officers could only speak so many languages. At least the Grand Admiral spoke Hungarian. "Hello, Grand Admiral Vaelhjmr! How may I be of service?" Szoke was distracted as the Admiral's vessel crested a wave about three kilometres away from the Tegetthoff. The SMS Mikhail I Vaelgracht, the first of the Ersatz Monarch-class, outclassed the Austro-Hungarian Tegetthoff-class in nearly every way, with the exception of speed.

The Admiral's voice crackled over the radio. "Would you be so kind as to escort us back to Venice? The Balkan coastlines are more than well patrolled and am I required to attend a meeting in Vienna in a few days."

"Of course sir."

The two Dreadnought warships set a course for the Vaelgracht coast, cutting a swath in the Mediterranean. Soon they joined up with the rest of the Kreigsmarine stationed at Venice, waiting their time to relieve the rest of the fleet patrolling waters near the Balkans and around the Mediterranean.

Vienna, Vaelgracht Empire, 1917

"I will not be at ease, Herr Steiner. I want to know why this man has suddenly replaced one of our allies." The Emperor paced back and forth along the length of a table packed with various officials. "So..." The Emperor placed his hands on the table, looking to Alfred Redl, his Head of Intelligence and spymaster. "I want everything we know about this man. Can he be trusted? Is he a threat to the pact?"

To be Continued...

Annexation of Canada

Postby Scotatrova » Mon Dec 08, 2014 8:18 pm

Several thousand troops have marched from the United States into Canada to annex it. Rebels took down the Canadian government awhile back which threatened security in Scotatrova and in response the men of the Scotatrovian army attacked the capitol of the rebels and reinstated Canada but the officials of Canada were worried about another rebellion so they agreed to be part of Scotatrova. Canada has now been annexed and admitted into Scotatrova.

With the recent invention of tanks and other modern weapons, the Moorwhyneic Ministry for Tactical Advancement has made yet another great stride in warfare. The publishing of the Mobile Warfare Doctrine.

Excerpt form the Mobile Warfare Doctrine

In this new age of warfare, old tactics are proving more and more useless by the day. Static trench lines now find themselves overrun by tanks and armored cars. Wave upon wave of infantry can no longer take trenches with acceptable losses.

So we must adapt. The Mobile Warfare doctrine dictates multiple things
No longer shall both sides in a conflict make static lines. The attacking party will use the combined arms tactic. Combined arms is a strategy in which you deploy a small amount of every type of force to a front, letting them compliment and support each other. In order to assault a trench you must maintain momentum. Do this by assaulting the enemy positions with large amounts of artillery bombardment, and rapid advance of armored vehicles and assault infantry. Once the enemy lines begin to move, push in heavy foot infantry to press your advantage. But remember one thing, you must never lose momentum. Always push forward.

With this comes the rise of Mobile infantry battalions. Mobile infantry is a term used by the Moorwhyneic army to describe units that are carried into battle by armored car, or tank. They are normally equipped lightly, and have high amounts of explosives and rapid fire weapons such as pistols and revolvers. Mobile infantry can be used in conjunction with heavier units to gain an early advantage and take better positions faster then the enemy.

Moorwhyne's weapons designers are working on a gun that will fit the Mobile infantry's needs.

Scotatrova wrote:Several thousand troops have marched from the United States into Canada to annex it.

[Reykjavik, Vahn]

Premier Kador sat quietly as his ministers bellowed at each other, reading the telegrams on his desk. One from Prusko, telling him to move forward with their plans. The other from Scotatrova
announcing the annexation of Canada. Kador sighed and stood, waiting for his ministers to finish their arguing.

Slowly, the room quieted. Kador began to speak.

K: Proceed with the plan. Let the Leviathan fleet take Greenland, and then depart immediately for Newfoundland and Labrador. Order the ships already waiting there to land troops immediately. They should only encounter Canadian rebels. Their leadership has been crushed, so tell them to offer them asylum. Send a telegram to Berlin requesting assistance from Prusko.
K: *sighs and takes a seat* Send a party of diplomats to Muse. We'll be having a diplomatic incident very soon.

*Vahn has annexed Greenland and has deployed troops in Labrador and Newfoundland. Due to the persistence of rebellion in these regions, and the lack of Scotatrovain effort to pacify these regions, Vahn, with the approval of Prusko, declares ownership over these regions. Diplomats have been dispatched to the Scototrovian capital, Muse, to negotiate.*
