The Vahnite fleet that had been stationed near Aden had begun the voyage back to their postings in Mauritius and the CIS soon after victory had been declared in Moorwhyne.

However, before they returned, there was a task delegated to them by the Premier of War himself. Because of this, a small flotilla found itself on a course due south of Socotra, towards the Seychelles. The annexation was swift and bloodless. A small force of Vahnite soldiers of the Foreign Intervention Army were left to garrison the isle, while several ships remained docked at Victoria.

The rest of the flotilla continued on to their posts.
