[at the CIS base camp]

a messanger gives leonardo a seald envelope, leonardo grabs the trench knife on the desk and cuts open the sealing. the letter reads;

Dear Leonardo,
i'm sure you remember me, the man you shot atleast 11 times at the end of the battle with the fascists. you did not finish me off but i has left a rather.....unsavory complection. i see you and your little pact of misfits are focused on janos, the shrewd weakling who thinks that a simple virus can stop 5 of the worlds superpowers. in anycase, im back, and in the wilds of africa i've meet some people who also don't like you. we have insurgents in the glory and steel pact, and i think it's time we rock the world stage, ten fold. by the end, all of your nations will be reduced to DUST.

sincerely,
Var Stal

leonardo took a deep breath and set down the paper, he chuckled."even if i tell the others, they won't cae. no, this is something i must face, and i must face alone.

he put on his trenchcoat next to him and put on the combat helmet and walkd out of the tent.

Komazi Muin motioned to team 3 "The Vahnites should have had enough time to get in position. Your objective is a fueling station. Most of the major telegram wires run through there as well, so watch your asses."

Team 3 lead by Koldo Lajos was now moving fast down the abandoned streets. They were surprised to see that there weren't that many lights on inside the hospital as they passed. As they came upon the station they were surprised to see that it wasn't that well guarded.

"Move up and hold along that wall to the left" As the soldiers followed their Komazies orders 3 things happened in a rapid succession that couldn't be explained.
1. The 2 men taking point where blown apart from the waist down.
2. Nobody could here anything over the intense MAW and light machine gun fire.
3. They were no longer facing 10 enemies, they were facing more around 70.

"PULL BACK! PULL BACK!" The Komazies screams were lost over the sound of dying Moorwhyneians and machine gun fire. As the soldiers began to find cover and return fire, they realized that there were only about 6 of them left. The Komazi knew that he was only seconds from being overrun, and decided to do something rash. He looked around and found a small stick of dynamite and a recoilless rifle tube. "OVER HERE! NOW SOLDIERS!" 1 man died in his efforts to simply get to the Komazi. The Komazi asked one of the soldiers to hold the stick of dynamite. They were too far away to throw it to the station, and the recoilless rifle that Janos's geniuses had invented needed to be set up on a special stand to fire correctly. So the Komazi ordered the man to throw the stick at a poorly supported house, and instantly began propping the Recoilless rifle over the wall they were hiding behind. When the house came down it created the perfect smoke screen. The Komazi told his men to prop the Recoilless rifle on their soldiers. 2 lone shells lay in the ammo box next to them. Only 2 shots to make this.....

The smoke began to clear, all was quite for a moment... They gas station came into view and the men fired the rifle. Direct hit! The whole station went up in flames! at least 30 feet on that explosion.
"I think that's good boys, load up one Moor and launch it at them for uncle Sumal! The next round slammed into the Machine gun nests in the 2 story apartment building across the street. They ran like hell and got out of the immediate area before the mass confusion and patrols arrived.

"The Vahnites would have to be blind not to see that, let's hope it get's them by."

[Just outside the hospital complex, Çelmarin, 1917]

1:59

Captain Kjeldsen hadn't been expecting something quite so conspicuous, but the plume of fire rising from the power station was more than enough. The two teams stalked across the wide street towards the checkpoint. The electric lights that gone out, leaving the guards night-blind for a few moments. A few moments proved more than enough for the Vahnite veterans to swiftly cross the avenue and dispatch the few guards within with trench-knives and push-daggers. They moved on to the next checkpoint.

These men had had a few moments to regain their bearings. Captain Kjeldsen drew his Luger, as did the men behind him, and dispatched the guards with a staccato of shots. The firing of their guns were largely ignored as the power station continues to pour smoking into the night, drawing the attention away from the operatives as they approached the third and final checkpoint before the hospital.

Captain Kjeldsen rasped an order to the men in the second checkpoint building ans hid. A man cupped his hands and called for help in Moorwhynic. A few men from the last checkpoint hurried over. Once they entered the darkened checkpoint building, the Vahnite men made short work of them. The remaining men at the checkpoint were quickly wiped out as the gunnery team let off a few short bursts of MAW fire.

Kjeldsen was beginning to wonder if perhaps guards hadn't been diverted towards the other men from CIS and Moorwhyne, This was fewer men than they had been expecting.

He gave a quick order and the teams divided. Half went towards the storage building, while the other half went towards the recreational facility.

The men from CIS and Moorwhyne should have started on the patient wards by now...

"CIS teams, go time!"
The dynamite charges were blown, the CIS teams rushed into the hospital complex yard trough the western wall. 1 minute later the firing began from the CIS side of the complex, and the Moorwhyneic teams blew the north wall. In under 10 minutes the teams had stormed the Yard and gained entrance to the buildings. Now comes the hard part.

Through their gas masks the oficers gave orders to their men. they lined up by the building's entrances. "tear gas, this is first level, no patients that will die". one of the Operatives opened the door and another rolled 2 gas canisters into the hall. the gas erupted and the CIS men moved in. they shot down any loyalist guards in the smoke. more were heard coming, "Fix bayonts" one f the officers said. once they loyalis guards entered the CIS quickly and clanly dispatched them by gutting them. the teams searchd the rest of he floor and secured it. the lead officer read out the plans, "Alpha team move up the south stairwell, Bravo you got western, omega the east. charlie we're moving up the northern stairwell, stanley you got this floor, set up the fold ups and guard this floor, any loyalists even approach the door, send them to valhalla! and if you see any blue armbands, they're vahnite, don't shoot". the teams moved up the stair wells while stanley set up their machin guns by the entrances.

now to find janos and if any izleky appears, dispatch 'em.

2nd Patient wing, Çelmarin Hospital Complex, 1917

2:20

"Clear the rooms, quick and clean guys secure all of the wounded and civs. Watch your fire" And indeed the Moorwhyneic soldier were quick, clean and effective. First floor was clear, now onto the second more populated medical rooms.

It was a mess, One hell of a huge one at that.

"What the hell happened here?" Said one soldier, while tripping over the body of a dead nurse. The scene was gruesome dead civs and patients. "Why would they do this?" Asked Muin.
They were stopped dead in their tracks when they saw Dead loyalists in the hallway, mixed in with the patients. Nobody had guns, it was like they were sneak attacked.

No sign of Janos anywhere, time to move onto the 3rd patient block.

Çelmarin Hospital Complex, Storage Building

2:08

The captain waited tensely as an operative approached the side door with crowbar in hand. After a series of sharp splintering sounds that made some of the men wince conspicuously, they were in. The room before them was full of what appeared to be hospital pillows. Kjeldsen smirked at their good fortune and gripped one in his hand.

A moment later, a Loyalist guard poked his head into the room to investigate the sounds. Using the pillow to muffle the sound, Kjeldsen fired his pistol, killing the guard instantly. Within less than ten minutes, the whole guard force in the building had been dispatched without a sound.

2:18

Captain Kjeldsen led his team out the opposite side of the building. The building had been guarded by no more than a few guards, and they had proven easy to neutralize. Janos was elsewhere apparently. A few men with MAWs had remained in the building on the second floor. If it came to a fire fight, their higher position overlooking the complex would be an advantage. Kjeldsen's team lined up against the wall of the third patient ward. The staccato sounds of gunfire were now clearly audible from the opposite side of the complex as the Moorwhnian and CIS teams made their way through their wards. The captain watched as the other half of the Vahnite group disappeared around the corner to enter through the other side. Kjeldsen's voice ripped through the adrenaline infused silence.

"Check your fire. Watch for Garen's men and don't shoot civilians. Ready? GO!"

A sergeant stepped forward and kicked the door open. They were in.

The CIS teams made their way up the stairwells and were confronted by a horrific sight.

many of the patients, slaughtered, murdered, and just ripped apart in the most gruesome of fashion. the iron confederates were trained to stand up to any situation, but this one was gruesome. the soldiers walkd through the halls which were covered with blood, the rooms were filled with dead veterans and civilians. among the dead were some survivors. one of them seemed in well health, a boy, no older than 14 sat in the corner covered with blood. the officer approached the boy and asked, "lad, do you know what happened here". he boy lifted his had fom his knees and said "some men were here, they were dressed in black military outfits, they killed many of us and hid in the darkened hallways". the officer lets that thought mingle in his head for a second before sanding up and eturning to his men. "there are assassins here, thye killed these people". the room fell silent. "bravo, protect these people. the rest of you, you're with me, we're gonna hunt down and kill these assassins. watch for traps".

the CIS men moved through the hall, they pointed their guns ahead of them and carefully avoided traps laid by assassins. all of a sudden, figures popped out from some of the side rooms and attacked some of the iron confederates, pulling them into the back room. the officer shouted "AMBUSH!, DEPLOY TEAR GAS!, USE BAYONETS, GUT ALL THSE MURDERERS!!". tear gas was deployed by several of the CIS men gassing the assassins, the CIS used bayonets for close combat, the assassins used their own knives and other assorte equipment to fight the iron confederates. the fight was loud and you could see and hear the yelling and gunfire all the way from the 3rd ward.

Çelmarin 3rd hospital block, 1917

2:24

"3,2,1, BREACH!" The soldiers kicked down the door, and began dispatching the few loyalists that were on the first floor. The soldiers soon found themselves in complete darkness in a maze of winding hallways. "So, anybody see anything?" "Sir... I can't see you, how would I be able too Ahgeggegge!" "SHIT... Lagos?" "Anybody know what just happened?" they soon where met with the enemy they never wanted to face...

10 Siwarz Izleky agents in close dark narrow hallways.

The men gave up looking for Lagos considering him KIA, and they continued trying to find their way up to the second floor as fast as possible.

(Meanwhile on the rafters above the second floor)

2 men were whispering to each other in Moorwhyneic.
"So you think they even care how easily we just killed Lagos?" said one man, holding the rope that Captain Lagos still hung from.
"No, but I definitely think this will be more fun then the civilians were."
"Amen to that."

One of the men whistled, then the other dropped the rope poor captain Lagos was hanging from onto the ground making a loud crashing sound.

(Back to the men on the ground)
Whooshhh.. CRACK! "What the hell was that!" "Team 3 Go check it out!"
Team 3 without a doubt didn't want to check it out. As they ever so carefully went to the area the noise came from they kept hearing noises coming from above them. Meanwhile the main group of soldiers was in complete darkness, crouching in some form of demented conga line waiting to be attacked by assassins. If the lights were on, it would have been a quite funny scene, as the assassins stalking the halls and the rafters above would have been spotted near instantly... If only the soldiers knew how close they really were. "SIR" said a private over the sounds of a vomiting comrade. "We found Lagos". Those where the last words they ever said. Upon completion of the sentence the 4 men left in team 3 were annihilated quietly with trench knifes and garrote wires. The 2 Assassins above now began firing wildly with MAW's and pistols into the direction of the main group. They Moorwhyneic soldiers returned fire into the direction team 3 had gone in. They didn't know it, but they managed to kill 3 of the 5 assassins over there. "RUN!" ordered Commander Muin. And Run they did, in all directions. Some went right, some split up, and others were completely alone.

When all was said and done only 12 of the soldiers had made it to the second level. And by the time they found the Vahnites there were only 8, and none of them seemed capable of telling them what happened.

The Fight ended 10 minutes later.

6 Iron confderates died in the fight, but all of the assassin died aswell. the assassins nded up with more bayonet holes than holes in swiss cheese. the rest of the men surveyed the 2nd floor and scured the building, the officer calmy walked down the hallways where the fight happened. empty gas cansiters, bullet holes, bayonets sill lodged in the plaster the wall, a mess. the commander began counting the assassin's corpses when he realised something. "jackson" the officer called to a comrade "how many men did we record in the fight?". "10 of 'em, why?" jackson asked. the offcier looked around, "because there's only 9 assassin corpses". a slight knock came from down he hallway, one of the assassins was batered but still alive, and he was holding a girl and a knife to her throat.

"CONTACT!" the officer yelled pulling his pistol and aiming it at the assassin, a few other Iron confederates joined him and pointed their mausers at the assassin. "nuh huh, commander. if you don' want the girl to die, then let me go". a woman was crying in the corner while looking at the girl, most likely her mother. it was a standoff one end was the assassin, the other the CIS. the officer put one of his hands behind him and discretely ordered some men to form up behind the assassin. the officer began talking to the man "do you really need to kill the lass, hasn't there been enough blood spilt today". the assassin's afce grew colder, "she won't die if you let me go". the offcier chuckled bit "sorry mate hat can't happen, bvut take it up with my firneds behind you". "what?-" all of a sudden the assasin dropped he girl as 2 CIS men jabbed heir bayonets into his back, one into his bakc knee the other into his spine. the assassin laid there goaning, the office went over to the girl and knelt down "are you okay miss?". th girl gave a nod.

the officer picked the girl up with one arm and said, "you two tie this bastard up and question him, jackson check in with team stanley". he walked over to the crying mother and gave her her daughter. "the rest of you secue this building, and keep an eye out for the bahnites or moorwhynics, they may need help". h officer walked away putting away his pistol as the men started securing and moving around.

Ward 3

2:39

Captain Kjeldsen had been in the building for perhaps five minutes before he heard the shouting. Their half of the ward had been largely empty. There was the odd patient or nurse, and a word of warning in Moorwhynic and a gesture with a pistol were enough to get them to hide in their rooms. The creeping suspicion that they had already been hiding was partially confirmed when the 8 Moorwhynic survivors shambled into them. The survivors seemed unable to coherently describe what happened, but Kjeldsen got one thing from their scattered horror story: They were not alone in here.

The captain barked orders as he scanned the dark. "Check your surroundings. We have company in here and they know we're coming. Stick together. Use signal flares when you see them."

The adrenaline-infused atmoshpere reached the point were the cool air seemed to buzz as the men moved through the building. The first floor, while not necessarily clear, did not have Janos. The second floor was proving just as empty when a burst of MAW fire announced the assassins presence. Two men crumpled to the floor as the Vahnites returned fire, sending lead up into the rafters where the muzzle flash had been seen. A moment later, the lead riddled corpse of an assassin dropped to the ground.

The shots were still ringing in their ears when a signal flare illuminated the narrow hall for a moment, casting grotesques shadows across the walls. Another assassin was crouched inside a doorway, garrote wire in hand. A shot from a sergeant's Luger dropped him with a groan. The captain finished the wretch with his own gun and continued.

Aside from a few more cowering nurses, the ward was empty. It was time to move on. Avoiding traps, aside from an unfortunate man who had found, in the worst way possible, a landmine under the rug, they return to the first floor. Soon, they were leaving the ward to regroup with the rest of the men from the coalition.

The CIS officers saw the signal and odered there men to immediatley begin packing up.

"MOVE, MOVE, WE GOTTA GO!". the CIS men rushed as they, jackson asked the officer "do we take the civilians with" he gestured to th survivors. th office looked at jackson "yeah, help them out, we'll take them back to the base camp". the ironconfederates rushed down the stairwell whilst helping the innocents out. the officer meet up with th leader of stanely team, "you guys all packed up?", "yes sir", "good we're going back to the rendevouz point".

As the squads rushed out of the courtyard he officer took one last look a the ward, this place would be a place he'd remember for the rest of his life. he rushed out of the courtyard with his men, heading twoards the meeting point.

[meanwhile in aden]

the strike teams that arived from their operation the other night have arrived back at aden, leonardo orders around many medical tams to trea he surviving patients as best as they can. each surviving member of the CIS iron confederate teams are awarded the CIS medal of honor.

[leonardo in his office with the strike team commander]

the officer walks in, "leonardo looks up, "ah hello com, mander, please sit, and you can remove the mask". the officer removes his mask and stis in the chair in front of the desk. leonardo begins talking onc more, "so the mission was a sucess?". the officer gives no indication, "he was dead when we arived, we didn't do it". leonardo looks confused a worried for a second but then, leans forward a bit, it was reported on your mission, you captured and questioned a spy, please tell me about the man." the officer unfolded a paper and put it on leonardo's desk, "they are an elite assassin group that helped janos take power in moorwhyne. apperantly they're hired help and get the job done at an expensive cost. the man we questiond said they never anticipated fighting the iron confederates at all, jsnod actually thought the CIS would back down because of the flu. leonardo read the paper and let it sink in.

"alright commander, thank you for your time, dismissed". just before the officer exited the room leonardo asked one more thing, "officer, i never caught your name". "the names marius jackson, sir". with that the officer left.

leonardo thought for a moment, and said "if we didn't kill that bastard, who did?"

The soldiers had all regrouped around the Recreational Center. It was the final area, the only place Janos could be. They had every entrance and exit covered. Unless Janos wanted to make his escape out of a second story window.

The time was nigh, to end this once and for all.

"BREACH!" the explosion the shouting, then the silence.
Everywhere as far as the eye could see were the bodies of dead loyalists, civilians and some other unidentifiable soldiers. The captains were in shock, they had seen this before in the second wing. But they had thought it was the loyalists who had done it.

"HVT over here!" And there lay Janos in suit and tie, soaked head to toe in his own blood and the blood of others...
Janos was dead...
And we didn't shoot him....

The peace of Çelmarin was negotiated today after the loyalist leader Janos was killed by Moorwhyneic forces. The proud soldiers of Moorwhyne and her allies are mostly to thank for this grand victory over the enemies of our nation. However, let us not forget those Military and otherwise who lost their lives in this bloody conflict. We have gone through times of great strife Moorwhyne! But the end of the storm is in view! And on the other side lies a better and brighter future!

Leonardo finally arives back in south africa after spending months in aden. he's in his study with captain marius planning the troop movements fromn aden.
as you can see sir we'll leave a garrison of about 100,000 troops with some artillery to boote. the other 1mil we'll have moved back down here. the captain sayspointing to several key things on the map. leonardo watches the captain dmeonstrations on th map, very good captain, very good in deed. have we any news on Var Stal and his insurgents? . the captain shook his head, No sir, and it doesn't seem that any of the other pact members are interested in investigating this claim.. this frustrated leonardo until he got a call on his phone, a secretary spoke "Sir thre's someone out in front for you, they have a special delivery". both marius and leonardo could tell this as suspicious and the captain said, sir i would adive you put on your body armor before we go down. a wise idea captain, a wise one indeed.

[Vahnite Main Camp, Outside Celmarin, Moorwhyne, late 1917]

10:40

The command tent that had held host to the planning of last night's raid was now full of Vahnite officers. The topic of discussion was how to proceed now that the capital had been surrendered.

Commander Mayer spoke first.

"With Celmarin taken, we can return the bulk of our forces to Vahn. With the recent Fascist uprising near our borders, we cannot rely on Prussian assistance in defending us. The home guard will return to their posts in Vahn, while the Foreign Intervention Army remains here in Moorwhyne until the conflict is put to rest."

The tent was briefly full of muttered agreement and nods before the commander continued.

"We'll need Ismeili consent to use their railroads and waterways to return, but the mobilization is to begin immediately."

The tent was silent for a moment.

"Now I wish to acknowledge to excellent work of the men who risked or gave their lives last night. I swear on my honor that you will receive the proper commendations once you return to Vahn."

Captain Kjeldsen, close to asleep on his feet, saluted and barked his thanks at the commander.

Commander Mayer announced that the meeting was concluded and curtly dismissed the officers. He ordered Kjledsen to stay. When to tent was empty except for Mayer and Kjeldsen, Mayer spoke.

"Your report to me states that Janos was already dead when you arrived, correct?"

"Yes sir" Kjeldsen responded in his customary rasping voice.

"Understood. Any speculation on who the real killers are?"

"No sir"

Mayer looked irritated for a moment and then dismissed the captain. The commander did not like mysteries. Mysteries tended to become deadly in his line of work.

the two arived down stairs at the front door, where captain elisa was there to greet them.

This is probably a trap, we should send someone to search the truck she said trying to stop the emperor. he looked and if it's not? then we've just acted like a bunch of paranoid freaks, marius jumped in you should lead the way then captain, just to make sure. Well then , follow me

the captain opened the door and leonardo caught a glimpse of the delivery truck, the side doors slid open to releav a machine gun armed by two men, just as they were arming the gun, leonardo pulled captain elisa back behing the doors, th next few moments were a haze of blured vision and gunshots. leonardo finally was able to focus and he saw all that was left of the door was a bunch of riddled boards. captain elisa law on her side with blood covering the floor, leonardo felt a pain in his side, he had gotten shot by a bullet. he could hear men running and yelling outside, GET THE EMPEROR, KILL HIM!!!.

shite....

Çelmarin square, late 1917

3:00

The National anthem of the Dominion of Moorwhyne(44. Do you hear the people sing (final reprise) is played while the flag of the United Kingdome of Moorwhyne is torn down form it's parch overlooking Çelmarin Square. Many had gathered for this grand parade and re-instatement of Garen Brunhile as the rightful prime minister of Moorwhyne.

It was a glorious sight, the whole of Moorwhyne reunited in peace for the first time in almost 3 years. The soldiers marched through Çelmarin square proudly as all people attending the parade sang the national anthem.

There was also a joint Ismeili and Moorwhyneic victory parade taking place in the port of Aden

This is truly a new day for Moorwhyne.

Tarazed Eradicates the Spanish Flu from its Territory!

Postby Tarazed » Fri Jan 02, 2015 4:13 pm

The Tarazedian Ministry of Disease Control and Prevention issued a statement today which announced that the citywide quarantine of Daramonty had worked as planned and as a result, the Spanish Flu had been contained and dealt with before it had gotten out of control. They went on to state that around 10,000 people had been killed by the pathogen before it could be brought under control. This death toll is sure to raise serious questions about Tarazed's border control and may reignite the debate about compulsory screening at the ports - regardless of this, it is sure to become a key issue in the run up to next year's presidential elections...

OOC: Sorry for being gone so long. I'm not out yet my friends. Tarazed, I await your acknowledgement.

An escort was awaiting their arrival in the form of a small motorcade outside of the the main port. This escort would take them to the Tarazedian Parliament where an attaché of diplomats were preparing for their arrival.

An escort was awaiting their arrival in the form of a small motorcade outside of the the main port. This escort would take them to the Tarazedian Parliament where an attaché of diplomats were preparing for their arrival.

The diplomats disembarked from the car that had taken them from the harbor-side to the parliament building, and entered, finding themselves ushered into a reasonably sized meeting room where the Tarazedian diplomats were waiting. The men exhanged nods and took their seats.

The head of the envoy from Pasture, a man by the name of Salvador Franco, made a point to speak first.

"To think that such momentous occasions would take place in such small rooms" He joked as he opened his briefcase.

A manila envelop emerged and was pushed across the table to the Tarazedian officials.

"Our terms in writing. To summarize for the sake of expediency, we want an alliance that will ensure that you will come to our aid in the event of attack and secure the freedom to trade with your nation. We would, of course, be extending the same promise to you. We are also interested in some degree of... sharing, lets call it, of military schematics, so that our military will be on par with the world standard. The tyrannical Shepherds are barely settled in their graves and Pasture has already come under implied threat from our neighbors to the north. We'd like some insurance that our republic will outlive the men who forged it."

Salvador finished and began drumming his fingers on the table.

"How does that sound to you, gentlemen?"

The struggle in Barcelona ends on rebels victory. Jose order his rebels to march to Valencia. This news greatly angered Gilberto which he sent more troops to march again to Barcelona with a lot of artillery. This victory indicated that the war against nationalism is coming. Lot of armored vehicles are captured and used by the Catalonian rebels to fight against their foes.

Nationalist: 24,000 KIA, many armored cars captured or destroyed and 50 tanks captured.

Battle of Viladecans

In this town near Barcelona, 37,000 infantry with 5 tanks and 70 artillery arrived in town. Suddenly, the rebels led by Jose charged to their positions while he and his few men flank to captured the artillery and used it against them. After intense fighting, the rebels suffered moderate casualties because of Jose's brilliant tactics but Gilberto send reinforcements with supplies. The townspeople also join the rebel side which it increase the size of rebels. This battle didn't end since the nationalist send reinforcements and they never surrender.

Rebels: 22,000 KIA and 24 tanks destroyed.
Nationalist: 30,000 KIA and all tanks annihilated.
