They were not going to fight fair. And although they had drastically less numbers one thing was clear. This would be a long and bloody fight.

OOC: So the Loyalists in Çelmarin have no set lines. They are scattered in small groups around the city, making it hard for our soldiers to not get flanked or surrounded by loyalists. Bombs, IED's and all manor of traps and diabolical devices have been set up. Some IED's of metal, others simple Grenade bouquet traps. Above, below or straight ahead, our soldiers will be fighting everything from bombs and traps to suicidal loyalists and snipers.

[meanwhile, at the mozambique border]

troops at the command bases by the tanzania/CIS border stay alert for any agression and defense. an officer approaches one of the lookouts, "any sight of new activity lookout". the lookout stops looking through his binoculars "no sir, their foces just seem to be sitting there" he points twoards the Tanzanian forces miles from their border. we don't know if they'll attack, but if they do, we'll be ready". the officer gives a nod then walks off. the lookout continues to look at the tanzanian forces sitting just over the border.

the CIS forces reach the city limits finally, and start setting up fortifications and defenses, leonardo walks among the troops and looks out at the open desert. an officer runs up to leonardo, "sir, we've finished our scouting and search reports. loyalists are no longer present within the city. leonardo looks pleased and says "good, message osman and garen about this, we're to send a force up the 1estern coastline to establish a connction with their forces", "yes sir". a person of military rank walks up to leonardo, "sir". leonardo turns to the person to reveal it's mcaptain marius stal, leonardo looks suprised. "Captain Stal, what are you doing here", th captain hands leonardo a paper, "the communists in tanzania sent us packing, which mean't all CIS personal were booted". "well captain it's good that you're here, we've retaken the city from the loyalists, and i need a commander to go up noprth to help garen's forces". the captain gave a salute then trotted off. leonardo started to walk back to th command center they had set up, night was falling and it was time the troops finally got some rest.

Boer - CIS conflict (update)

Postby Confederation of imperial states » Thu Dec 25, 2014 10:59 am

The Boers whic have been occupying the nation of zimbabwe for over 5 months now have created a large trench and fort outline all around the border of their nation, lines with soldiers. they have created a sizable military of 600,000 troops and continue to hold a tight grip regime on the nation. through scoutings and insurgents the CIS has snt to recover information on the militants, they unlike bigger nations, are not up to date with their military and economic technology, they have a recorded factory count of 5 and very few farms. the Boers continue to lockdown the nation.

100,000 people died because of the influenza which it worsen the situation even more. Spanish Red Cross tried everything to stop the infection but none of them were effective. Since people cannot allow to migrate beyond Spain, they set up tent cities and shanty towns with help of Red Cross and Nationalist Army to house the healthy ones. Due to many deaths and victims, the Red Cross cannot calculate it properly the exact death toll.

The leader of Spain, Basilio Augustin, succumbs in his illness and died and Gilberto Babineaux takes position to rule the country. Though he rule a very devastated country, he promise to Spaniards and Portuguese people that he's reign would make Spain prosperous again.

Red Cross report
Cases: 450,000 infected and 100,000 died

[meanwhile in aden]

the minister of public health and leonardo are having a conversation. "yes sir th flu, it has claimed 500,000 lives so far", leonardo looked stressed bu kept listening.
he rubbed his forhead before asking "any word from tula yet, he's be dark for months now". the minister shook his head, giving leonardo his answer. " *sigh*, slright, thank minister, apologies but i ned a few minutes to myself after all of this". the minister stood up and left the room. leonardo sat for almost 20 minutes contimplating the situation he was in then he remembered something, he quickly went to the phone next to him, "can you send the captain up, yes, thank you". he waited for 5 minutes before the captain came up, "sorry sir i was caught up because a bearucra-" leonardo interrupted her bing as polite as he could, "its alright, they've been on me too now in days, please sit down". the captain sat down in the chair in front of leonardo's desk.

"so elisa, have you found anymore information my...."

"yes sir, we've found she lives in south africa and have moved her out of the quarantine zone"

"good, good, last thing i want is to loose the only family i still have"

the captain looked confyusd, then realised leonardo lost his mother to the flu

"thank you captain, you've been a great help, carry on"

"thank you sir" the captain gave a salute then walked out.

leonardo gave a heavy exhal bfor leaning back in his chair with his eyes closed, these past few years had taken a heavy toll on him and with tula going dark to any messages and tanzania getting geared to attempt to break down the CIS's door it didn't seem like a good future. just then leonardo heard a chuckle and a voice that made his eyes open almost immediatley, the voice said "you've done well leonardo". he knew that voice well,

it was the voice of his father....

[Main Vahnite Camp]

Captain Kjeldsen had been pacing the camp when the scent hit his nose, the scent of burning flesh. He choked and pulled his mask over his mouth. Out of morbid curiosity, he followed the scent to a flat patch of land a ways upwind of the camp. Several Vahnite army engineers had been tasked with disposal of flu victims, and they were apparently resorting to using flamethrowers rather than digging graves.

He gagged and hiked back to camp. The officers had been placed stringent regulations upon the encampments to prevent the intermingling of Vahnite troops with other armies, with the fear of the flu in mind. Despite this, the flu was creeping among the Vahnite ranks. Thankfully, the smaller Vahnite force had far less difficulty in isolating those who did become ill, leaving the number of flu related casualties fairly low.

At present, the Vahnite forces in northern Moorwhyne amounted to 450,000 troops and 640 Hjaalmarch tanks. Another 200,000 were coming from Aden. Only about three hundred in total had succumbed to the flu.

Boer - CIS conflict (update)

Postby Confederation of imperial states » Sat Dec 27, 2014 2:27 pm

The Conflict between the CIS and the Boer militant state which had been calm for months now, had taken a drastic turn when 12,000 boer troops had stormed across the borderline to attempt to take a CIS border station just miles away from mutare. the fighting was one sided, with the CIS mowing down the Boer infantry with their machine guns. the Boers charged to attempt to take the station but were repelled by the CIS troops which numbred only at 1,000. the CIS saw this as an advantage and mounted a force of 3,000 and charged afte the boers. they chased them down back to the town of mutare where th Boers found themselves cornered when the local residents rose up and helped he CIS troops. he CIS now controls the Town of mtuare, and an army of 150,000 bors masses outside the town to ready an incoming attack, the CIS has sent troops to mutare to ready a defense.

causalties:
CIS: 0
Boers: 5,400 infantry

Major actions:
-CIS now has a foot hold in boer occupied zimbabwe, the Boers now have to deal with their highly advanced enemy (compared to them), in their own territory
- Boers now realise that numbers will not work against the CIS in this fight

Boer - CIS conflict (update)

Postby Confederation of imperial states » Sat Dec 27, 2014 3:36 pm

The CIS now ready to face the Boer militant state, moves around 100,000 CIS infantry squads To the southern border of zambia, this is to insure the Boers don't take their newly claimed land too soon, or ever. the CIS's numbers in mutare now number at 50,000 againts the boers' 200,000 siting outside the city. The Boers threaen the CIS with full attack if they do not give up the Town of mutare, the CIS do not take This threat seriously seeing as their last little offensive cost them an entire town along with a force of 12,000 soldiers. the CIS now fortify Mutare and ready an offensive from the north in their lands of Zambia

Annexation of the Bahamas

Postby Scotatrova » Sat Dec 27, 2014 3:47 pm

After a strong hurricane hit the Caribbean and devastated the Bahamas, Adam Richards took that as an advantage. He sent humanitarian aid to help the Bahamas recover from the hurricane. Within a matter of days, the Bahamas became Scotatrovian territory and was annexed. The Caribbean was on Richards mind before Central America and the remainder of the continent.

Late 1917

The Rajah's congressional pledge for expansion has been called into the spotlight once more, as the Rajah has announced the planned annexation of Thailand.

An ultimatum has been posed to the leaders of Thailand: Their leaders can retain positions of power as members of the Rajahdesi council, submit to Rajahdesian law , and allow Thailand to be iincoporated into Rajahdesu as an administrative district; or face the power of Rajahdesu's military.

The ultimatum has yet to be answered, but leading members of the Rajahdesian Council have already drafted the necessary bills for annexation, so it can be assumed that the Council and Rajah are confident in what answer they shall receive.

OOC: Population after the incorporation of Singapore and Malaysia stands at 51,296,400, with http://www.populstat.info/ being my source

Dispatch to CIS

The Rajah and the High Council of Rajahdesu would be deeply interested in a mutual non-aggression treaty, but we also request an agreement that pertains to CIS expansion in the Pacific. The government of Rajahdesu is obligated to warn CIS that further expansion into the Pacific will threaten the balance of power in the region. Please expand no farther than Japan, and our nations will be able to coexist reasonably well. The Cpuncil also wishes to propose a trade agreement between out nations.

Excerpt from Rajahdesi news publication:

"Rajahdesi troops have been mobilized to the border of Thailand, and the Rajahdesi fleet en-route to Bangkok. The time for Thailand to respond to the Rajah's ultimatum is quickly running out, and the Rajahdesi military aims to make good on it's promise to invade if the ultimatum goes unanswered.

After addressing the issue of the ultimatum to Thailand, the Rajah announced that the government of Rajahdesu is planning a major expansion of the nation's naval forces.

'We are a nation riven by the sea. We must make the necessary steps to ensure that this does not become a disadvantage to our great nation.'

Several commercial shipyards have been commissioned for the construction of military vessels by the Rajah himself. "
