Scotatrova delcares war on Eljida!

[Scotatrova]

Relations between The People's Assembly of Scotatrova and The Star Crossed Republic of Eljida have always been peaceful and both are apart of The Confederacy of Allied States. But tensions between both nations have been rising these past few months. Eljida had implemented an integration program for it's people in Scotatrova and across the world. But people in Scotatrova had seen this as unacceptable and began to bother the Eljidian people. Over the next few weeks, protests and anti-integration rallies occurred frequently in Scotatrova so Eljida then abolished the program. But many Eljidian protesters that stood have been creating mayhem in Scotatrova which caused Scotatrova to consult Eljida but they did not do anything about it as they stated it wasn't their concern. Now, Scotatrova has declared war on Eljida for not controlling it's own people. Scotatrova calls upon it's allies in this time of need.

Eljida had never been to war with anyone before. With it's somewhat peaceful inhabitants and thriving economy, it would never have to go to war with anyone until now. Nothing had ever prepared them with what they were about to face. The Scotatrovian government had declared war on Eljida and now, war is what they were going to get. Troops began to rally up across the country and the nation was put on high alert. All flights to Scotatrova were cancelled and citizens of Scotatrova were being rounded up and sent away in trucks. War has indeed begun.

In a radio broadcast to the nation, Beloved Leader, Supreme Leader Grand Ayatollah Mahmoud bin Abudullah al Fasal, has given his support to the proud people of Eljida (translated from Arabic):

"The Islamic Mujahideen has a duty to fight along side fellow Middle Eastern countries in wars to defend our holy Islamic lands.
Any act of war from the West is a war on all Muslims.
The Islamic Mujahideen calls on Muslims across the world to help the proud nation of Eljida fight the Illegal State of Scotarova."

The Islamic Mujahideen has sent truck loads of Islamic insurgents to Eljida to fight along side their troops and overthrow the illegal Scotarova regime.
The current number is estimated to be at 2,000. The Islamic Mujahideen has not formally declared war on Scotarova and likely will not.
The insurgents are under the command of General al-Naftari who is at a classified location.
The group will likely stay out of most open firefights and focus on sabotaging Scotarovian interests.
This number of troops is subject to change with the severity of the fighting.

In a statement released earlier today, Mesranean Foreign Minister Cuhlecain ApMargus annouced Mesrane's full support of its ally Scotatrova and its opposition to radical militant Islam following a conference with President Eriadunn. While preparations are being made for a vote on a declaration of war in the Senate, Mesrane has sent 12 F-35s over to Scotatrova where they can assist in ground attack roles. The 1st Fleet is being readied along with a sizable special forces detachment in the port of Deva. President Eriadunn has moved the National Alert Level to 4 and thus security in any and all international transportation centers within Mesrane, including airports, will be doubled.

In response to these actions that leaded up to this war between the 2 nations, the Iravian president Zachary A. Arthur released the official statement of the government in this conflict. He had prepared a small speech in front of the presidential house. As he walked on the small podium that was set up for this speech only he started waving to the crowd of 5620 people which had gathered in front of the podium. He walked towards the micophone that was resting on a standard on stage. As he grabbed it from the standard and held it in his hand he spoke to the crowd, which mainly consisted out of international press altough a lot of local residents came too.

''People, today we can confirm that the honorable nation of Scotatrova and Eljida have declared war on each other. We do not feel the need to engage in this conflict with direct millitary force, as this overseas conflict is not a conflict we want to be fighting in. However we do feel the need to secure the human rights and prevent the use of weapons of mass destruction which might or might not be used in this conflict. Because of this possible threat the Senate has chosen to send over 5 of our destroyers to this region, to make sure no human rights will be violated and no weapons of mass destruction will be used. On board of one of our destroyers we have a team of diplomats which will try to bring the war to a peacefull end.''

"You have no reason for getting involved in this war, sir! None at all! And worse still, this invading nation is perhaps twice our size! Twice our strength! It's been around for hundreds of years, much longer than us! It's probably even more advanced!" Vladimir nearly shouted, strongly voicing his stubborn opinion. He hadn't been given the facts and intel quite yet, which further aggravated Maximus, simply because of his sheer ignorance and intolerance to change. "I strongly advise against it! It would be foolish!"

"Vladimir!" Maximus shouted, standing up. His pen fell from his hand, slamming against the desk. The war document he had been reviewing was strewn across the desk when he stood up, the table moving forward slightly, and the chair flying backwards. Maximus slammed his hand on the table, further surprising Vladimir. "How DARE you call your Emperor foolish! How DARE you make assumptions without the information at hand! You, perhaps the best tactician in the world, a leading strategist, DEN's best General and Marshal, leader of a secret army, is doubting me? You in the past would've jumped at this opportunity to show a nation off! You would've gladly engaged in combat, and would've won, too!"

"Things change, sir! I cannot always win wars against everything you declare!" Vladimir shouted back, stunning Maximus a bit, but he knew he could fight back. Vladimir was his friend, after all. "Look at the facts! An age old nation! Nearly undefeated in battle! And we will fight it?"

"YOU look at the facts! This nation's economy: lower! It's military: Smaller! It's budget: Punier than nations much smaller have! It's population: smaller! Hell, the military advancement of our enemy wouldn't match our old allies!" Maximus shouted again, his face twisting into anger. He grabbed a file and tossed it at Vladimir, who grabbed it in midair, and looked at it. It was intelligence reports. Very recent, too. "Now you tell me your advice!"

"I... I..." Vladimir stopped. He was a strong, stubborn man, yes. His presence was commanding, his confidence immense. Now, his pride was stopping him. Not at a loss of words, yet, at a loss of understanding. He had been at fault, yes. Now he had to apologize. "Maximus, sir, I apologize. I fully support your decision to act."

"Good, good. If you can sign this, and start drawing up battle plans, I'll be very happy. For now, let's just act like we care slightly. Keep this simple, keep it secret. And contact Eljida military leaders. Tell them we'll be helping them." Maximus replied, calmer now. He had regained his composure and sat down, now signing the document with his pen, and handing both to Vladimir, before standing up. "If you'll excuse me... I have a press conference to attend to. I'll be seeing you in the war room, Führer."

"Yes, sir..." Vladimir replied, and signed the document. Already, his mind was filled with ideas that he could use against the enemy. But first... First he'd have to wait and conduct discussion with his men. This would be a long, long week. And he didn't like that idea.

Yesterday, Scotatrova, in a fury of frustration, declared war against the peaceful nation of Eljida, citing only inability to control citizens as cause for the war. While not entirely doubting, government officials are currently believing that there is an underlying cause for this war, evident by the slowly failing economy of Scotatrova. While action has not been taken by either side, the world is appalled by this action, as Eljida has not given any cause for attack.

While military leaders have declined interview or comment, we have been able to get the Emperor to weigh in on this situation.

"I cannot see any reason to declare war. If Eljida is hiding something, then they should be the leader of our intelligence team, as it is the best lie I've ever seen! As such, I cannot condone the actions of the larger bully. I cannot say this is a good thing. As of now, full economic sanctions have been declared against Scotatrova. I will not trade with a nation that cannot maintain it's composure."

The Federation of Paleztine will be aiding Scotatrova in this war, and will be deploying anywhere from 15,000 to 21,000 Paleztinian troops to wherever the warzone may be. Paleztine will also be deploying the PSS O'Connor, a fleet of 7 ships in the Paleztinian Navy. And finally, the Paleztinian Air Force will also be getting involved in this conflict, most likely. Due to how close Paleztine is to Eljida, all of the artillery and ships and such should arrive within a day or so.

Executive Vladmir Tula stood silent behind the large wooden podium he was using to address a crowd of three thousand citizens of the Confederacy of Independent States of Tula and journalists from around the world. The crowd was almost completely silent as they waited for their nationally elected executive to speak on the matter at hand.

After a few more moments of silence Vladmir finally spoke, having it amplified by the mini-microphone attached to his suit "Proud Citizens of the Confederacy of Independent States of Tula, I come here today to announce that the Confederate Senate is currently in voting procedure to decide whether or not a state of emergency exists within our Confederate Nation today as well as to decide if a state of war exists between our nation and that of Eljida and her allies. If they do vote in favor of such a situation then I promise to use the military of our Great Confederacy in a way that keeps with our nation's Confederate ways and to ensure that no tyranny will be unleashed upon our great nation. I would also like to announce that the Executive Council, using it's constitutional rights concerning foreign diplomacy, will allow the nation of Scotatrova and her allies in this conflict to use the Confederacy's military air bases as staging points for aerial attacks in this conflict as we recognize that our location in what used to be western Russia is strategic for such attacks. With that Vladmir walked away from the podium and back into the executive building to continue planning with his nation's generals for a war against Eljida.

Since it was twice the size of it's opponent, Scotatrova wasn't afraid nor worried about an Eljidian invasion. The nation had once been brought to it's knees in the Scotatrovian Hundred Year War (see factbook) but had rose up and defeated it's opponent. Nevertheless, military personnel was added in offshore territories to protect trading posts and also in the capital of Muse. War is where Scotatrova has always been victorious and this one might be no different.

The Federal Republic of Tarazed has declared support for The People's Assembly of Scotatrova in light of the increasing regional tensions. President White announced that a vote in Parliament would take place later on in the week to determine just how far this support would go and also urged nations who are supplying arms to either nation to 'refrain from doing so as it could exponentially increase the likelihood of unnecessary conflict.'

The 12 Mesranean F-35s are moved from northern to far Southern Scotatrova, near the straits of Gibraltar. Further Eljidan airstrikes will be intercepted if they are not brought down first by Scotatrova's anti-aircraft defenses as well as its air force.

"This is good. Everyone will be focusing on our ally now..." Vladimir said softly, watching news channels and the map. He had satellite pictures laid out everywhere, and important people and army leaders posted on the walls. He had the targets on one end, and they were circled in red. If one was careful, a large portion of the circled areas was actually around the little water way that entered into the Mediterranean. Vlad walked over to that very picture, pulled it down, and set it out over the table. Everyone walked over to him. "Alright. Here's what we need to do. Let Eljida draw the ships into the Mediterranean. We'll let them stay there. I'll need the 1st and 2nd fleet ready for this, though.

"Alright. We'll have a group of ships from the 3rd Fleet, Taskforce Chase, move into the Mediterranean. We'll have them lead the enemy around in a goose chase. While their fleets are in there, chasing them around, we'll have the 2nd fleet prepare for a move. The 1st fleet, however, will attack with the 5th Spetznaz down here, in the islands. I expect a lot of island hopping will be happening. Now, that will draw their soldiers from their mainland to deal with that, and their ships. That's when we strike. The 2nd fleet will move in and blockade the nation. We'll start bombing their airforce to hell with our Aquilas and Thrillers, and when their Air Force is finished with, we'll invade. Remember, we'll need FAEs to be launched daily at key stations. Sound alright?"

"Sir, which army will be attacking their mainland?" General Waters asked, and Vladimir smiled, nodding. He brought a large amount of chips over from the table, and laid them out.

"I plan to have your 6th Army attack in the lighter areas, and the 1st Army, both from Group A, land in the lower edges. Of course, Group A will be reserved for the invasion, while Group B's 1st and 2nd, with armor from the 7th, be sent to Eljida. They'll facilitate the defense from there. Any questions?" Vladimir asked, finished with the pieces. "Oh, and I almost forgot. I plan on sending the SS to prepare for an assault on the enemy's capitol. Hopefully, we'll be able to take them down before they can stop. I plan on having our U-Boats keep any incoming or outgoing ships destroyed. And by destroyed, I mean destroyed. Wolf packs of five to ten U-Boats will be conducting patrols, and we'll have 10 UC-Boats, with 20 U-Boats and 5 UBM-Boats hit their ports. Sound good?"

"Yes, sir!" The room resounded, and Vladimir smiled.

"Good, soldiers! Get moving! Send out the Subs and Taskforce Chase first!" Vladimir ordered, and suddenly, the room became a massive mess of orders. All sorts of branches were being called into service. The biggest movement, however, was that of the navy. From massive concrete buildings, there were at least a hundred submarines diving underwater, some with three multirole fighters inside, and all heading for Scotatrova's waters.

The 1st and 2nd fleet were prepped, with the 1st fleet launched for the islands, carrying with them 100,000 naval infantry. The Taskforce, Taskforce Chase, was sent out, carrying with them 1 pocket battleship, 2 light cruisers, one escort carrier, and 8 destroyers, all heading for Eljida. As soon as they were sent out, at least 20 TC-2s were sent out, carrying 1,000 troops each, to Eljida. They were coming in from the north, and had escorts with them. Hopefully, they'd get to their target.

The president of the Confederation, Michael Cushman, addressed the nation concerning the War in Eljida:
"The governing bodies of The Confederation of Southern States has concluded that The Confederation will remain non-belligerent in this conflict. However, The Confederation deeply sympathizes with Eljida, and condemns the actions of Scotatrova for invading a nation less than half their size with no legitimate reason. Congress has decided that The Confederation will supply humanitarian aid to Eljida along with financial support to fight Scotatrova, specifically $5,000,000."

The President had met with several government officials to discuss about the actions in the Isles.

"What are we going to do about Eljida? They are gaining more allies and if we invade it will look bad on us because of us already declaring war on them. Innocent Scotatrovian citizens are being taken within their borders and we can not do anything about it!" He pounds a fist on the table as someone else pulls down a map including the two nations. "The attack on the Neal Isles was obviously planned by looking at their flight path. If they are attacking our islands then the Romosea Islands should have increased security and the navy should form around the islands to avoid another incident. We can't let them breach our defenses. Soldiers are being sent to Muse to protect our capital from their allies that could be just as mad as they are. Sir, you have to address the nation on our course of action. Let them know that we mean business."

The president observed the map ''You are right. Our people need us." He walked outside to a podium and delivered his message

"This attack on the Neal Isles shall not be forgiven and Eljida shall pay for what they have done, they can bet on that. As many of you know or may not know, citizens of our glorious nation have are being captured within Eljida and the same is being done to the Atrians, the main race of Eljida that are within Scotatrova. We are not going to kill or torture them but keep them in custody until the INNOCENT citizens of Scotatrova are released whereas these people have been causing mayhem for the past few weeks. Security is being increased in the Romosea Islands to prevent another attack and a nationwide curfew must be put in place until the war is over. Muse will be shutdown until further notice and all travel in and out of Scotatrova is forbidden for the duration of the war while trading ships and merchandise will still flow in from allied nations. We don't take this attack on Scotatrova lightly."
