The JISACC to launch new Military Space Station [Zero Beta]

The Murratri Department of Deadly Space Borne Stations(MDDSBS) has developed the DeGrasse class space station and is now unveiling it. The first station, named "Purgatory", will orbit 500 miles above Illuminination and Murratri and will be shared by all JISACC members. It carries 6 nuclear missiles. The second--and last--station, the "Nye", is to be finished by next year. It is unlikely any others will be built due to the high cost of the stations. The project is suspected to cost at least 50% of Illumine's annual military expenditure. In an official statement about the project, the Chief Executive of Murratri said, "We are working hard to keep Illumine safe from enemies, while at the same time being cost effective."
It is widely believed that these new creations will put other nations in the Zero System on edge. But in a statement from the Corporate Protection Committee Minister Sally Rothschild stated, "We have no intention of fighting anyone. These new stations are purely so that if we were to be attacked, we could defend and even conquer our opponent. That is the mission of JISACC and we plan to not surpass this." Social commentator Bill DeNased however stated, "This is clearly an attempt of Illumine to bully its smaller neighbors. For that reason I encourage the international community to invade Illumine and take control of these new vessels."
The Stations carry 6 separate nuclear missiles, called "Tsar Bombas". Three are operated, and paid for, by Illuminination, and the rest will be operated by Murratri. The missiles can be split into six separate missiles each and be fired at small, quick targets--like communications satellites-- or be used on in their normal form against large targets--like cities or small nations. They are known as "nation destroyers" internally because of their distinct ability to destroy large sections of nations. The believed expanse of the cloud alone is to be 2,000 miles wide and 100 miles tall-- the reason there is such a difference is due to very advanced engineering of the warhead--. With the radiation going over twice that distance wide.
The stations carry a fighter squadron, a bombing squadron, and troop transport aircraft. The fighter squadron will have 8 Anvil F7C Hornets(1) and be piloted by the best fighters in Illumine. The bomber squadron will have 5 Aegis Retaliators(2) and will carry 2 antimatter bombs each. There are to be 15 Drake Caterpillars for troop transport, each carrying 30-50 troops. These are to be used for offensives against enemies on Zero's moons, against other satellites, and against attacking squadrons of fighters.
The stations will also carry from 1500-3000 soldiers with duties ranging from piloting to service, and from command to transportation. As many as half of the people on board may be only being held on station to eventually be stationed somewhere else.
The Grand Minister of Illuminination has stated that, "We have financed these [space] stations by taking out a loan with the Corporation of Meneies Bank. The cost of these stations is equal to 75% of Illumine's joint defense budget. We are going to pay off the loan by using 12% of the joint defense budget per year for seven years. With the run off amount being used on the interest.". The Chief Executive of Murratri's government has also stated, "These stations will put a drain on the budget, but we need them to keep up with the world. And they are still plenty affordable, anyways."
Purgatory will launch tomorrow at 12pm Illumine Standard Time from the Capitol Space Center, Illuminination. The station is going aboard 10 rockets that are all being launched at the same time.

Prime Minister Cassandra Fairs has watched the launch of the rockets up into space through her hologram TV display. The Munisca went on to witness the vehicles go into space. Up there, the Purgatory Space Station the JISACC was building looked nearly complete. She then decided to open a transmission with her secretary. Pressing the button on her desk she asked, "How long until the JISACC finishes building the station?"

"In a week, your Excellency", replied the voice from her secretary.

"Is it confirmed that they have nuclear warheads installed?"

"Indeed. Six of them were detected on the station."

She thought for a moment. Clearly these nuclear weapons are obsolete, with the advent of devastating ion cannons and relativistic kill vehicles. However, do they really pose a threat to the rest of us? I'll have to notify the ambassador at the Stormwrathian Embassy in Illumination to keep an eye on the Illumine government. Perhaps they only mean to defend themselves. However, she can't help but feel uneasy about this. After all, nuclear warheads, albeit obsolete in most Zeronian countries, do greatly deliver destruction in seconds, eliminating entire cities off the map. Should she notify the Emperor and Minister Dawson? How would they respond? For now she decided to handle the situation on her own.

Elsewhere, several groups supporting pacifism took to the streets to protest against Illumine's completion of their orbital weapons space station. A demonstrator said to a certain reporter, "I don't know what is Parliament doing, but they should do something about it. JISACC is just flexing its muscles to intimidate its neighbors, especially to intimidate Zyphius. We ask that Stormwrath should step in to ensure peace will prevail in Zero."

Parliament on the other hand, has no comment over the situation, and has decided to wait instead for Illumine's neighbors to react.

At the launch of the rockets carrying parts for Purgatory, aswell as key government buildings, there have been several protests. The biggest of these protests stationed at the Corporate Defense Council Building is being lead by social commentator, and strong anti-united-Illumine advocate,Nye Jobs. The murratri government has chosen to disband the protests by stationing its military around them and pushing them either off a cliff or into a corner, so that they become forced to disband. Meanwhile, the Illuminination government has chosen to send in bomber squadrons that are dropping mass amounts of water in order too "convince" them too leave. The rest of Illumine however is allowing the protests to happen as long as they don't block trade. In response to the protests taking place at the Corporate Defense Council Building--where non of the Illumine governments have control, and therefore can't stop the protests-- Minister Bill Nauer stated, "We are only launching the new space station in order to keep from becoming a laughing stock. It would be unpractical if we were to attack one of our neighbors because of the major cost, thous making the stations mere defense measures." The leader of the protest at the building, Nye Jobs, stated, "No matter what they[the government] say that doesn't mean they wont do it. They are clearly preparing for an invasion of our neighbors." At the moment is unclear if the intentions of the Illumine governments is good or more sinister.

Prime Minister Blocke walks onto the balcony of the Government Building to address a crowd of reporters, protesters, and citizens alike about the governments opinion on the new JISACC military space stations. She looks nervous and her high heels are about to fall from under her as she situates herself on the podium placed in front of the microphones. She begins here speech with a simple, "We can not condone war. But that does not mean it does not happen." As she finishes this the crowd promptly settles down from its previous rattle. She continues "This means we must not give it[the military] power. It means we must not 'prepare' for it. And it, most importantly means, we mustn't fund it. Because of this our fair nation has never funded a national military. For this reason I had to negotiate into the JISACC treaty that, although all nations members must give all military resources to the Corporation[JISACC], no nation would be required to have an actual military. This is also why we had to join the JISACC though. It allows us protection from aggressors without condoning it." She pauses for several seconds and takes a sip of water--something she is criticized for doing during nearly every press conference-- and then continues, "We have a proud history to maintain. A history of avoiding violence, through diplomatic and economic strategy. We hate war." Another pause now.

A man, an agent of the Protection Agency, standing to the left of the Prime Minister approaches her and whispers in her ear. Immediately after the man steps away Blocke begins saying, "I need to dismiss this now. We have a-" -boom- an explosion rocks the area. A fireball emerges from the Government Building and there is immediate chaos.

As the Prime Minister begins to be escorted off of the balcony, she spots a little girl struggling to do anything in the chaos. Both her and the girl have several burns across their body. The Minister begins too run to the girl as she is picked up by Protection Agents. She screams to the girl, and sees that the girl is also being carried by Agents. Happy that the girl is safe the Minister allows herself to be hauled off.

[Stormwrath]

The chaos in Experimentstan has caused quite a stir, especially in Stormwrath. It made headlines in the Tidal City Enquirer that day, and data pads everywhere had that newspaper issue, including Emperor Percival. When he read that this attack was related to the recent launch, he became suspicious. He then pressed a button and inquired his liaison, "Matilda, when was this launch carried out?"

"Two days ago, your Highness", came back the voice. "Haven't you seen the live feature on JBS News?"

"No I haven't", Percival replied. "What happened?"

"Well, Illumine has launched ten delivery vehicles to low-Zero orbit in order to deliver the final pieces to their military space station, which is almost complete. Media reports say that the cargo being delivered is six nuclear warheads with 250 megatons each,able to decimate an area the size of Rhodogate in minutes."

"Does Prime Minister Fairs know of this?", asks the concerned Emperor.

"She does, and she ordered our Embassy there to keep an eye out for Illumine's next moves."

Something came up in Percival's mind. "When is the next ZWC annual session?"

"November 3, your Majesty. Around next week."

"Inform our representative there about the space station, he needs to bring this up at the session. That will be all."

"Have a nice day." And the transmission ended. Percival then turned on his hologram TV and went to the JBS Channel (which was Channel 5 in Tidal City) and saw the news related to the space station, including the report a slight mobilization of defense forces in Zyphius.

[Zyphius]

General Frost was beginning to question the JISACC's motives on completing their so called 'space station'. Defense? From what? Zero is evidently in a time of peace; no actual threats have formed on the planet. However, the six nuclear warheads the station mounts has got this high ranking Zyphian military official concerned. Everyone knew the potential of nuclear weapons, which despite its status as obsolete, have the power and the destructive capabilities of an ion cannon.

After analyzing and gathering the data, he went to report to his commanding officer, High General Wrath. Frost performed the Zyphian salute, and then reported, "High General, I have received data from our spies in Illumine."

Currently, the High General was not in a good mood today. Vexed, he replied, "What is it this time, Frost?"

Frost continued, "The JISACC has just launched the final delivery vehicles to complete their new space station."

Wrath's tone changed. "Is it the one that they are assembling over Hakurei?"

"Yes sir", Frost confirmed. "They are also planning to complete the assembly of a second one by next year."

"Anything else? I don't have all day."

"Our spies have also confirmed the mounting of six nuclear warheads on the station. Sources tell us that these warheads have a destructive radius of 500 miles."

Gen. Wrath was outraged. While being angry was natural, as it was his surname, he knew that thermonuclear weapons with such large radii can destroy half of Hakurei in seconds. Zyphius indeed is insane, having such weapons, but they believed in the doctrine of Mutually Assured Destruction, and such doctrines could be catastrophic when a war breaks out.

Wrath ordered his subordinate, "Quickly mobilize our homeland defense forces, and put our systems on alert. We'll be finished."

"But sir, our defense system is undergoing maintenance as we sp-"

"GO!!!", the High General roared. And Frost left his presence. A few hours later, the Zyphian oligarchy was informed of the threat posed by the space station, and they picked a delegate to bring the issue to the annual session of the Zero World Council in November.

"We, do, not, want, to, fight, unnecessary, wars!" says John Koch, the CEO of the Government, Inc., very slowly making sure all the reporters around him understood. "We only wish to support ourselves, the rest of Illumine, and our economy. Because of this we had to launch Purgatory and--eventually--the Molina. It is our responsibility to insure peace. Purgatory and the Molina will do just that." he continues, "Because of our responsibility to Illumine we have to protect her from danger, even if its internal. We are going to send troops to Experimentstan to help them deal with their -err- terrorist problem. We claim no responsibility for the incident, however, and are also sending financial support to them". the press conference is over. All reporters are shoved out by reluctant, teenage soldiers who seem to not enjoy it.
As John enters his office he orders his secretary to walk him through other nations responses to the space stations, after a twerk--he is a womanizer--. His secretary, a tall brunet lady with curly brown hair and deep brown eyes and named Naudia, starts out by saying, "It has mostly been passive- aggressive."
John nods, as if he expected that, "Zyphius seems to feel threatened as they have ordered their military to mobilize and Stormwrath is believed to be announcing a condemnation and we have several reports from our ambassadors that they also believe we are war mongering." she stops for a second to see if her boss would comment and then makes the remark "Can you believe them? We aren't war mongers."
Her boss says then, "Yes, we are not war mongers, rather peaceful people seeking to defend ourselves, actually, Rachel."
Having known she said the right thing but irritated he got her name wrong--he does it alot-- she replies, "Well maybe they are fear mongering. Preparing their population by pumping them up for war. And by the way, my name is Naudia not Rachel."

[Zyphius]

The Zyphian military began to mobilize in reaction to the space station, even buying new interceptors from Eclipes. Maintenance was hastened for its systems, and the army has been put on alert. While the Zyphian government knows that it will lead to condemnations and sanctions from its neighbors, they thought it was necessary.

At the Skyrift Underground Research Center, scientists were perfecting the manipulation of phantom atoms into a new kind of armor that can be transformed at will by the user. Aside from that, the Zyphian Intelligence Agency worked around the clock to gain intelligence from Illumine. Espionage missions were also being sent to Illumine and nearby Symia, gaining valuable intel on the locations of several nuclear weapons facilities and enrichment centers. In outer space, Zyphian military engineers tested new glassing techniques in the Tamarus asteroid belt, and have so far kept their data as well as their location secret.

Anti-Illumine demonstrations have erupted in Zyphius' major cities, and the state media began to create various types of propaganda. The Zyphian Supreme Potentate Kelstath Anubiros stated in another press conference, "Zyphius neighbors need not to worry about our current mobilization, we are just ensuring our nation's security." Although, there were some people who questioned Zyphius' motives, and they would not speak up concerning those suspicions, lest they be arrested by the civil guard.

[Experimentstan]

Blocke has always had to deal with people getting in her way. However, she has never had to deal with an invasion. And an invasion is exactly what was happening. She had originally planned on meeting John Koch at the border along with the troops he was supposed to be sending to help quell the protests. Unfortunately however, the Queen's Intelligence Service, KI6, had reported to her-- mere hours before the original plan was supposed to happen-- that the murratri Army was in attack formations.
She has called Grand Minister Tristan and told him of the situation. In response he had a quick press conference with her in Illumine City. In the conference he stated that Illuminination will support Experimentstan during all conflicts. The Illuminination Army however, was not ready to support Experimentstan against an invasion. As such she has been instructed to assemble a militia to slow murratri's advance and to push the murratrian forces into the arctic tundra of north eastern Experimentstan, in the state of Toendra. The force that Experimentstan has is small, to say the least, and has little chance of even surviving a week of the murratrian offensive. Fortunately, Illuminination forces should be prepared in a few days and should be able to get to the militia before all the minutemen are dead. As a result of the offensive, Illuminination and Experimentstan entered an alliance, called the Alliance of Colonial Forces.
The official statement from Blocke is,
"We are experiencing turbulent times here in Illumine. With the slightest change in association with each other may lead to a total shift in power, or a total obliteration of us all. We have a neighbor that is sending troops to us. These troops are malicious in intent. We have observed this as the forces are in attack formations despite that they are officially meant to be no more than to help us, support us. I have to request that all able bodied men and women join the militia and fight for our freedom, sovereignty, and independence. If a person would like to join visit your local Counsel Building and take a Soldier Pack, you will be issued orders immediately after. We have requested assistance from Illuminination and have since entered an alliance in which they pledge to support us militarily. Any other nations that would like to join please do, we will accommodate to almost all conditions. We would like to request that all members of the international community, join the alliance and support us from the looming threat ahead.
To all citizens who think they don't need to join the fight of believe that they shouldn't fight, let me ask you: when was the last time you had your whole family killed for looking at a government official funny? We need you all to join to protect our freedom. Our very way of life is now at stake, please join, before it's to late."
murrtari is expected to engage its first city in a matter of a day or even, hours. All nations willing to assist in the conflict to come are encouraged to do so. Agriculture is a preferred trade-- or donation-- now, because of how most of Illumine's food comes from murratri. Given as how aerial warfare is a specialty of Illuminination, both land and sea units are preferred, in the case that a nation wishes to help the Colonial Forces, though all units will be appreciated.

The Alliance of the Colonial Forces

In response to recent actions taken by neighboring countries, the members of this alliance have been forced to ally with one another. The alliance shall seek no more than to protect each others interest and to share all military resources during these times of need. All embers submit to willfully donate their military forces to any nation that is being attacked-however the a country's military may be lead by that country as long as it is for the good of the attacked nation.

Demobilize your forces and pull them out from Experimentstan, or we will respond with the might of the Zyphian military; a force even Stormwrath dreads. You have 72 hours to consider.

[Murratri]

As Colonel Walter DeWaker crosses the border between murratri and Experimentstan the official-- kinda --response to the Zyphius ultimatum is given in a press conference with the murratrian government and John Koch. The responce is,

To Whom the Current Conflicts of Illumine May Concern,
We are not currently invading Experimentstan and would request that all nations who believe that we are, leave Illumine to resolve the conflict. We are merely attempting to assist Experimentstan in their current protest issue.

Of course Walter knew this would be the response but he was ready to do whatever he was told to do by the "Higher Ups", as he knew the response wouldn't be it.


As he enters Densinton-- a city north of Billlongiton by a few hundred miles-- he and his squad are revealed to just how big of a lie the official statement was. As they exit their troop transport, his best friend, Nig "Des" Destry is shot by a militia fighter in the head. Des is dead on sight. Walter commands his squadrons transport mounted turret at the militia fighter, 2000 30-06 rounds per minute begin to discombobulate his body, turning it into a collection of flesh and shredded bones. He orders his squadron to get into the nearest building, an old school building that sits just off to the left of the main building.
The children are alarmed by his squads intrusion into their school, where they were previously attempting to hide under their desks to avoid falling debris. The teacher is immediately shot, as they had been ordered to do to all adults capable of combat who were not in a surrender position. The children all simultaneously scream. Figuring that they need to get back to the fight, the squad exits the building the way it came.
The squadron immediately sees, and kills, a small group of militia fighters, which they had by then named "frogs". As they walk over to the body to insure they are all dead or incapable of fighting, a ied blows up the car the group and squad were next to.

--Walter dies, a victim, and perpetrator, of the Beginning of the Illumine War. 1,328,239 people die as the battle continues, 435,348 were civilians, 23,986 of them were children. All militia fighters are ordered to withdrawal, none survive long enough to. The Battle of the Border is won by murratri, Illuminination enters the war, along with Nilluut and Babuyt. All of them join the Colonial Alliance in an attempt to end the, suspected, Murratrian Land Grab--
