Things were not at all calm. In effort to arrest everyone who was going to be used by the Axis as potential military assets, the Aklan-KK's chief, Alexander Karten called upon a mass inspection of all Axis embassies in the country, as well the embassies of nations affiliated with the alliance at one point. The first of the inspections came at the Inyurstan embassy. People who were walking down at Taft Avenue were surprised to see an entire battalion of KK agents in full combat attire suddenly storm the street.
"Break the gate!" Shouted one of the agents who were preparing to break the gate with their ram.
"No...let's be..diplomatic." One in the usual gala uniform suggested as he stepped unto the gate and rang started knocking.
"What is it?" One of the Inyurstan security guards answered.
The agent then grabbed his wallet and showed him his KK badge. "Your under necessary incarceration for security purposes. This place will be shut down immediately and all its personnel would have to follow us all. Open the gate." He said as he grabbed his megaphone.
"No need to panic." The agent's voice thundered through the megaphone. "All of you Inyurstans would be under direct legal protection of the bayan from harmful elements. Please prepare yourselves as we begin occupation of the building. Proceed to the black vans behind us, you will be lead to a detention camp where you will spend some happy days in temporarily."
POV: INYURSTA
Former Air Force Captain-turned Ambassador Marco Pollaci stood on the phone with Castille de Terro. He spoke in a nervous tone. This was a stupid idea, and Peresque was stupid for engaging in diplomacy.
"Yes. Yes they are at the gates... Yes, I have heard the rumors... Martinez is known for his flamboyant propaganda..." He then looked at his son in his wife's arms. "Yes, sir. I do believe them... No, sir... It was nice knowing you too..." he hung up the phone and sighed, his wife caught the tear in his eye.
A man with a black cap and a black bullet proof vest on over dark fatigues walked down stairs.
"Everything is in position, sir."
"Good. Jean-Claude, go with the nice man now." Marco said as he hugged his son one last time.
"When will I see you again, Daddy?"
"Soon, of course..." Marco said, lying to his son. He then hugged the child before kissing his wife one last time. The two then escorted the commander of the embassy guard, a trained commando himself, and another experienced guard as they opened up a grate in the basement. He watched as his wife and son dropped down into the sewers below. The commander gave him a final nod and tossed him a detonator with a heartbeat sensor.
Meanwhile, the embassy guards had cut their own lights, making the building black inside. A single M18 Claymore mine stood poised at each of the entrances, with a nearby operator in an adjacent room ready to blow it when the doors come down.
"Come and get us you pieces of shit!" one of the officers blasted back on his own megaphone, as a few guards in windows fired shots off with their MP-412 Rex pistols.
Today, 7:00 PM, 10/11/48
A shot was fired by the Inyurstan side, luckily, it only hit the side of the IFV where the Aklan-KK was hiding behind. Infuriated, the Aklan-KK fired back 3 rounds from their pistol though aimed only at the windows of the Inyurstan embassy. The one who was leading this assault, the Aklan-KK staff sergeant Alfred Tolo, in an attempt to calm the situation tried to compensate for the obviously escalated mood when he decided to fire shots by appealing through the megaphone. "Paumanhin! We mean no harm! Lay down your weapons and we will settle things in a much more calm manner." He said before face palming himself, obviously, that won't work. The citizens of the Axis power countries would always fight and they would never be the people who would immediately accept some settlement, without playing the hard bargain, but that won't matter, the more important thing today would be getting out of this situation by defusing it, then they wouldn't have to fear of ending up with things burning around them.
Aklan KK assault team
Terten meanwhile, had to leave the excercise of the Hukbo cadets at the Philippine military academy as he was summoned back by the Malacanang at Manila. Hearing the news of the situation, he was very frustrated to hear the new developments at Pasay. At the conference with the highest ranking KK, Kalihiman, Hukbo, foreign ministry and some of the representatives of the MMDA (Metro Manila development authority), they were shown the live broadcast of the events in a projection screen. Terten couldn't help but cover his face in stress and frustration upon realizing shots were exchanged. Adriano Timente, his confidant and propaganda minister tried to calm him down by patting his back.
"This is no different from the hostage crisis back at 2010." Terten said.
"Wrong, we all the power to diffuse the situation gin'ong punong. The KK is under your direct command."
"No, in this case, we are faced with armed diplomats who have the case of siege mentality." Terten said before he turned to Alexander Karten beside him, the punong of the KK. "Do what it takes to make them realize we are not there to harm them. I don't want a great war to begin just because we attempted to inspect an Axis nation's embassy."
"Opo." Karten nodded obediently immediately he then gave orders to the assault team at the scene through the small communication apparatus he had installed in the sleeves of his uniform. "Team DATU. Do not attack, do not fire, i repeat. Staff sergeant Malibon, do your best to bring the tension down. Magawa mo yan! You can do it!" He ordered. Facing the screen, he saw the assault team lighten their grip on their weapons. The artillery brigades then stopped loading the cannons and the mortars with their respective shells and rounds. The tanks then turned around and started to roll back into their base, the other tanks who were still going through the Taft avenue to their positions halted and turned back to base.
Terten who was at his chair was sweating. He was biting his lip hoping that nothing would happen. "I hope the Inyurstans don't make this much of a big deal. Anyway, it's impossible to have a bunch of diplomats act so aggressively just because we wanted to inspect them, did the assault team say something that made the Inyurstanis think we are going to attack them?"
"We'll be investigating the matter punong." Said Merkantil Sanchez, the chief of the criminal affairs department.
"Well if you find the guy who, have him demoted for not taking proper initiative of the situation. Or even fire him..."
"Opo." Nodded the entire conference. Terten then turned to the KK chief.
"Karten, i hope nothing bad that happens here would be related to how you thought your men ha?"
"Yes punong." Karten bowed hoping that nothing that is happening here is a result of his own men mishandling things.
"Supervisors of foreign affairs....?" Terten turned to Rosa, his foreign ministress beside him.
"Punong, we are ready to execute all kinds of contact with the Inyurstani minister of foreign affairs as soon as possible. And we still have the communications with the embassy open. We have a phone"
"Do your part. I've been receiving reports of how terrible you are in terms of diplomacy. I don't want to be the one doing your job ha?"
"Opo." Replied Rosa immediately.
"Dapat lang." He said in a very serious tone. He had never been so serious in giving orders. Usually, he gives orders while giving a bright smile but now it was lost. Probably because he started to think he needed to be more serious in how he handles things so things would be more effective.
