That would mean we are now in the year 1860?

Even with fifteen years, the radioactive wasteland would take at least three decades to dissipate to a safe level. The sheer volume of nukes unleashed means that it would take even longer in this circumstance.
Gilneas is a nuclear crater, nothing would grow there, only way to feed is through trade, which we are cutting off.

Tell me about it. I did that calculation according to what Deian Salazar said and what Gilneas always says.

I do know that radiation does take a very long time to make it inhabitable for any human being. And 15 years will not do the job if 100 warheads hit Gilneas every 15 years.

The Home Office has on behalf of the whole country condemned the actions. These actions being conducted by Gilneas cannot be tolerated. They do not suit the modern era we live in. Many nations around the world are with us in condemning this action as it is purely inhumane. I hereby propose that this house allow the following, The Imperial Navy sends the 1st, 18th fleets to join the international naval blockade. In addition I am prepared to order the Brickish Air Force to prepare squadrons 1-5 so that they maybe on standby ready to be called into action on a moments notice and the Imperial Army to mobilize 1-12 Battalion of the Britshire Regiment to defend our nation should it be attacked by the enemy. To end I ask this honourable house to vote on weather or not we should send the 1st and 18th Fleets of the Imperial Navy to join the blockade."

"The vote shall commence momentarily." The Speaker said. He just had a quick word with those standing beside him.
" Voting on the deployment of the 1st and 18th fleets of the Imperial Navy to the international naval blockade. All those in favour say AYE." A large shout of AYE filled the chamber.
"On the contrary say NO." A smaller shout of NO filled the chamber.

Just moments after three people entered the chamber. One holding a piece of paper. They all bowed to the Speaker. The centre person began to speak.
" The AYEs to the right 724, the NOs to the left 43." He said. He handed the papers to the speaker.
"That is the result of this vote. Objections?" The Speaker asked. No one answered.
"House adjourned." He concluded. All the MPs then left the building.

In response to the firing of ICBMs by Gilneas, the nation of SuperFruitLand officially begins to tighten the blockade, stopping all trade with the outside world. All ships leaving Gilneas are to be sunk, and all planes and missiles to be shot down by rockets and SARMs.

The sun is high in the sky, like an eye glaring down at an inferior world beneath it. The waters in this area of the world were calm, untroubled by the rages of humanity around it and impassive as a mother watching her children throw fits to have their way. From the blockade's point of view, a Crumlarkian trade fleet, outfitted with appropriately armed gunboats numbering in two, and a heavier cruiser-class by the name "CCS Mercy" (CCS standing for Crumlarkian Commissioned Ship). The trade ships they protected were laden with experimental pharmaceuticals and various chemical compounds intended for consumption that were restricted in several countries.
The captain of the CCS Mercy was made aware of the mass of ships ahead, but had not heard of any news of Gilneas' slave trade after being ordered to maintain radio silence through potentially hostile waters. Breaking the silence, the CCS Mercy hailed the blockade. "This is an Empire of Crumlark trade fleet, requesting open communications with the armed convoy ahead. If you do not reply, we will need to arm weapons as we pass to our destination.

Just launch a single ICBM and detonate the warheads about 300km above Gilneas. If a smaller warhead can wipe out the entire US power grid, fusing power cables and setting fire to power stations IRL, then Gilneas should fall pretty easily.
