With so many things to choose from, Pilkington didn't know where to begin, he turned his attention to the objects of unmentionable power or rather the beings proclaiming them. Mr. Fall focused on those selling animals, as he was more profit driven than power hungry and saw opportunity to market a new novelty. Suddenly, his face went pale and Lucifer stopped what he was doing. He looked down at the two Daleks next to him and his jaw dropped.
Lucifer found himself in a square where a large group of Luxans of various different sizes and shapes were talking as well a variety of small shops and stores. The square was dominated by a large statue that was between seven and eight meters in height, and of exquisitely artistic workmanship. It represented a monster of vaguely anthropoid outline, but with an octopus-like head whose face was a mass of feelers, a scaly, rubbery-looking body, prodigious claws on hind and fore feet, and long, narrow wings behind. This thing, which seemed instinct with a fearsome and unnatural malignancy, was of a somewhat bloated corpulence, and squatted evilly on a rectangular block or pedestal covered with undecipherable characters. The tips of the wings touched the back edge of the block, the seat occupied the centre, whilst the long, curved claws of the doubled-up, crouching hind legs gripped the front edge and extended a quarter of the way clown toward the bottom of the pedestal. The cephalopod head was bent forward, so that the ends of the facial feelers brushed the backs of huge fore paws which clasped the croucher's elevated knees. The aspect of the whole was abnormally life-like, and the more subtly fearful because its source was so totally unknown. Its vast, awesome, and incalculable age was unmistakable; yet not one link did it shew with any known type of art belonging to civilisation's youth - or indeed to any other time. Totally separate and apart, its very material was a mystery; for the soapy, greenish-black stone with its golden or iridescent flecks and striations resembled nothing familiar to geology or mineralogy. The characters along the base were equally baffling they, like the subject and material, belonged to something horribly remote and distinct from mankind as we know it. something frightfully suggestive of old and unhallowed cycles of life in which our world and our conceptions have no part.Urran wrote:"That would be an attack submarine." We were hoping that some other nations might be interested in in. But, as you can see." she gestured back to the performance. "We mainly just wanted to share our culture with the world."
The Luxans nodded and help themselves to the additional food. "Well this is a very diverse display you have set up here. Was this solely orchestrated by your government or did you have organization pitch in?"The New Velociraptor Empire wrote:With so many things to choose from, Pilkington didn't know where to begin, he turned his attention to the objects of unmentionable power or rather the beings proclaiming them. The guards spun every which way trying to spot danger with itchy trigger fingers.
Pilkington found him self in front of a rusted looking hole in the wall of a shack where a bent and crooked old women was guarding a store of scrolls and books that looked like them had been pillaged from some ancient vault. Their was sets of inscribed wooden slates contained in a locked steel coffer, cryptic compendiums bound in leather and sets of scrolls bound by leather cords. Fall found him self elbow to elbow in the middle of the square surrounded by people and animals of various shapes and sizes. Many of the creatures were small things kept in tiny wooden or metallic cages; some were vaguely humanoid with distorted features that made them look like imps or fairies. Others were insidious things covered in spine and pincers that kept snapping and biting at each other in fierce fury while still more took the form of normal animals with strange tentacle and polypous growths. The Guards would quickly realize that nearly everyone in the square was armed to some degree and that their was little they could do to guarantee the safety of their leaders in such a chaotic setting.

Monfrox wrote:"Klara! Grenade!" Krista said, keeping behind her cover. Klara looked back and up to see the grenade at the peak of it's arch. By her judgement, it was going to hit her. The blast radius of a grenade is always five feet more than you can jump, so Klara resorted to the only thing she could do. In a split second, her eyes went red, the pupils slit, and the sclera blackened. She reached up and then spun 360 degrees in her spot. She looked back at the man with the launcher and bared razor sharp teeth. Then she held up the smoking grenade he launched in her hand. Still intact, still active. She tossed it behind her and it exploded at a relatively safe distance. Klara's weapon began to glow red in it's metal parts as she picked it back up and sighted in her target.

Lucifer already knew that he was the freak to these other creatures.
Urran wrote:"Education is mainly privatized in Urran but the quality of such education must meet strict government standards. But, if a student maintains a high enough GPA and a high ACT score, the government will pay for college tuition. If they did really well, books and housing may also be covered. But most can afford university as we have a high standard of living." The man nodded. "Roughly 25% of our government spending goes to education. But Urran has a small government."
Monfrox wrote:Now it was Krista's turn to get serious. She too had changed just like Klara did, and was getting fed up with being pinned. She emptied the rest of her rifle's magazine by blinding firing to agitate the shotgunner before she slung it over her shoulder and drew her pistol. She then quickly scaled up the rock and jumped off the top, firing a hail of rounds down him.

A very large and obvious elite pair of Luxan Immortals approach Lucifer from the front. They looked like normal soldiers at first but as they got closer Lucifer could see that they were anything but. Their armor was think and large like a bomb suit but seemed to be incredibly mobile, small infant skulls and other tribal fetishes hung from various places on their weapons. Runes and strange languages were scrawled across every part of them and strange growth like appendages moved beneath their armor. "Mr Lucifer? Urran wrote:"My sympathies." The man bowed. "I am not certain what that must be like. The tax rate in Urran is an even ten percent for all, rich and poor. We have a deep respect for the environment in our culture, so other than placing laws on industry and enforcing hunting and fishing regulations, our government doesn't really have any environmèmtal protection programs. Urrans zoos take that responsibility on themselves." He paused. "Now that I think about it, nearly half of our government spending is defense. That, and public transport."
The geisha on stage had been replaced with another set of drummers that were beginning to plau an old samurai war song.
Monfrox wrote:This grenadier was starting to get on her last nerves. Not only did he take Klara out, but she generally hated getting filled with shrapnel. It was a painstaking process to cut and dig around to find every little piece of metal that entered her. So much so, that she eventually stopped caring and let it sit in herself. She didn't waste time, and sprang towards the last man going into a dead sprint. Her pistol was empty, and she wasn't patient enough to reload it right now, let alone take her rifle off and load another two clips into it. She put her sidearm back into her holster and drew her dagger as she rushed towards her target. Her eyes fixated entirely on reading him as her dagger faintly glowed a dark red that matched her eyes. She gave a battle cry in a multiplexed voice that sounded like she was shouting in several different tones and octaves at the same time. This also revealed a second set of razor sharp teeth in her maw behind the first row.

"Well be carefull. Max Jones is a slippery one. A rumor went around Fraire that Max Jones was secretly some form of robotic cabbage or something and was only posing as a human." The Daleks laughed their robotic laughs. "That's enough Dalek #4758 and Dalek #5639. But anyway, he may have many tricks up his sleeve. I'm pretty sure he's magic. Or just vwery clever. Pilkington picked up the butcher knife and weighed it in his claw, after a brief examination he placed it under the plate. "Well that was easy, not sure how this arrangement of cutlery and dinnerware extends my desired chemical processes indefinitely. But I feel like I can take on a giganotosaurus." Pilkington declared, rather obviously not getting the implied meaning of the price.
Fall caught up with Pilkington, quite pleased with his acquisitions. "Quit crying you undergrown ape, minions are expected to be professional, no matter how mangled they get." he chastised the new humanoid servant.
