Today, after intensive discussion and debate, the Communist Party of Cedoria has issued a formal statement, officially announcing their decision with regards to the Grand Kingdom of Gilneas. This decision has not been unexpected, as relations between Cedoria and Gilneas have been strained in recent years. The Communist Party has not forgotten the manipulative efforts of the Gilnean Government to spark a war between Cedoria and the then-Kingdom of Lithuania-Latvia. In addition, the Cedorian people were horrified about the atrocities committed by the Gilnean regime in recent conflicts, mass executions, rape, murder, forced starvation and execution of non-combatants, particularly in their conflicts with Lithuania-Latvia. Now the time has come to remedy this, the Communist Party of Cedoria has issued a formal statement declaring the following.

Due to the many vile atrocities committed by the Kingdom of Gilneas, and the foul treatment of it's own citizens, the People's Republic of Cedoria has decided that it is time that Gilneas reign of terror was brought to an end. The Gilnean King must be sent a message, he will be given 12 hours to leave the borders of Gilneas, renouncing his throne for himself and his descendants, and going into voluntary exile. The Gilnean people will then be given the right to participate in free democratic elections. His refusal or failure to leave will result in military action, commenced at a time of our choosing. Our military forces have been on readiness for some time, and our forces are strong. The atrocities and tyrannical actions of the King of Gilneas and his government must not go unpunished, the murder of millions of innocents is a crime against humanity, which cannot be forgiven, even in wartime. We would urge all nations to stand together in condemning the atrocities of Gilneas, and supporting our sending of a strong message that such actions must never be allowed to occur without retribution.


Anticipating the rejection of this ultimatum, People's Revolutionary Armed Forces are placed on the highest alert, naval transports ships are prepped to carry army battalions to their destinations, airforce patrols are flown regularly, and naval combat vessels are readied as well. Anti-Ballistic Missile defences are being prepared across Cedoria's major population centres and military targets, given the Gilnean's previous useage of such weapons, this is a sensible precaution. They will not be able to use them this time. The People's Revolutionary Armed Forces are on stand-by, ready when the order is given, to do what they do best, travel to Gilneas, liberate it's people, and drag the Mad Tyrant kicking and screaming off his throne.

The destination was for the parliament building to meet with the PM and his cabinet, then speak to parliament and get their input. He sat back and waited for them to arrive.

The nation of Gilneas had been in the news recently, usually on the second page of world affairs. Thomium yawned before he brought the old chipped mug to his mouth. He knew something had to be done in this new situation that was forming in that particular region, the foreign ministry had been asking for three days to discuss the matter and finally he had an opening in his schedule for them. So as he was finishing his breakfast tea in a penthouse apartment near the center of Heraculo that the crown owned for members of the royal family to use when residing in Heraculo. Across the large breakfast bar, an undersecretary to the long serving foreign minister Johan Xa'vier sat. She'd introduced herself as Sommet Evega, most likely Iron Ridge with the slightly tanned skin and heavy clothes, relatively cool Heraculo spring mornings were a far cry from Iron Ridge were the temperature would be about 30 Degrees Celsius and the sun hadn't even risen fully in that timezone She obviously had just come out of a meeting with someone from the War ministry, they didn't like representatives from the Foreign Affairs and Trade office coming over and asking for options. Her face showed she hadn't had any sleep either. "We need to show that while support a peaceful resolution, we need to ensure that we secure a toehold in the region whether it be political or physical, after the pull-out of that Division" Thomium thought for a second "They weren't too happy to hear you saying that were they needed again were they?" Sommet looked confused for a second before realizing he was talking about the War Ministry "No, they seemed more preoccupied about Vasangal-" She cut herself off, the Imperial Grand Duke was known to not be happy about that subject, the crown colony's recent troubles were causing havoc in that region and the military were keen to smash any threat to the integrity of that colony.

She quickly studied his face searching for any sign of anger, however it seemed he was more content with his tea than anything else, "Sadly Vasangal has been a little more trouble than anticipated but nothing the War Ministry can solve, despite their grumbles" Sommet gave a quick smile "I hope this meeting was informative and convenient, I apologize for the early hour thought your Grace" Thomium waved away the apology "Not at all, Miss Evega, I was up already." Pulling out a monogrammed notepad he started jotting down memos "First , can you hand this to Xa'vier" Passing her the first page, covered in elaborate and spidery script. "Secondly, this is for you. It's a day off, go home after delivering the first memo and grab some sleep, can't have anyone in this matter tired or otherwise incapacitated if it requires sudden attention." Thomium said as he passed on the second page. Sommet was a bit taken back by the generous offer but it felt like a directive if anything. "Certainly your Grace, anything else?" As she got up from the bar. Thomium paused reading files for a second "No, that shall be all" He said in curt tone. Without a word she curtsied and left, passing the armed guards on the way out.

Brigadier General Ian Mallent still paced the deck of the Indomitable angrily. He'd been deployed in Gilneas only awhile ago, his men were still setting up shop when the order to get out of Gilneas came, they had been shuttled by helicopter to the 28th Fleet which had put a significant amount of space between them and the coast since then. No doubt they would be recalled to Vasangal or some other Colony for reassignment to another duty, as he looked at the empty horizon the ships PA system crackled. No doubt someone gotten lost on the vast ship. "Brigadier General Mallent, can you please report to the bridge?" Mallent was a bit surprised, also annoyed as it would take him at least 30 minutes to get to the bridge.

Mallent had gotten lost twice as he'd entered the superstructure, but eventually he'd found the bridge, he'd been there twice before but now he'd just recovered from two detours to other rooms. Getting up on bridge, he'd gotten the message

Mallent could have punched the air, he was returning and with a Class 4E rank, means he could shoot first and ask questions later, which would be very handy in this region. The Savants were just the cherry on the pie, they'd be able to help the Indomitable to arrange intercepts for any missiles that Mallent wanted out of the air.

A wing Strategic air force bombers from the People's Revolutionary Air Force is now prepping on Cedorian airfields, as they take off on an important mission, the world seems to hold it's breath, as the tense situation is ready to explode at any moment...

0800 hours, Raptor Wing, over Gilnean Airspace

The wing of B-68 spread over Gilnean airspace, in teams of two or four, they split off to complete their separate assignments. Initially it looked like they were heading for the cities and towns of Gilneas, but soon it was apparent that there was a much better target for the, the airfields. The bombers fired off missiles towards Gilneas's military airfields, slamming into the communications and runways, however, they take particular aim at the oil storage facilities, knowing that the fires from there could spread like well... wildfire. In addition to being good for news cameras, this strike could cripple Gilneas's airforce capabilities, for at least a short time, by affecting their ability to resupply and land their planes. Whilst several Cedorian bombers are downed by AA guns, it is confirmed that several missile strikes have hit their targets. Damage is unconfirmed but presumed to be heavy. The People's Air Force has successfully struck a blow against their Gilnean adversaries.

Gilnean-Cedorian Border
With the air strike concluded, PRA forces now begin to mount their first campaign against Gilneas. Satellite imagery has reported that the Gilnean 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th armies are amassing into offensive positions along the Cedorian border. Without air support as a result of the previous strike, their campaign will likely be swiftly defeated. PRA forces are now dug in entrenched positions along the border, with sandbag nest, heavy turrets, AA guns behind the lines, parapets and bunkers behind them, and a clear supply line to the border from the rest of the country. PRA artillery batteries now open fire on Gilnean Army forces across the border, striking their positions, the hope is that this will inflict casualties and create panic in Gilneas's ill-disciplined, largely conscript army, softening them up before they even attempt to cross the border. Engineers are currently laying mines along the border, the field which Gilnean forces will have to cross if they wish to attack. Further towards the Cedorian line, pre-placed C4 explosives have been laid, out of sight of the Gilnean forces. Once the Gilneans cross over the border, the explosives will be detonated by Cedorian forces, causing mass casualties on the enemy. The explosives are out of range of the Cedorian forces, and we are anticipating the Gilnean attack along the border soon. Artillery shelling has commenced on Gilnean military positions, which will force them to attack the Cedorian line. The battle has now begun.

Chairman Vallance Vallen has given an eloquent and fiery speech in the People's Square, calling upon all Cedorians to go about their daily business, for each person has a role to play in ensuring the defeat of Gilneas. In addition to the regular military forces already mobilised along the border,Military reservists are also being called up, should they be needed. The People's Navy has been mobilised only for defensive purposes, they will not strike Gilneas by sea, but they are their to protect Cedoria and ensure safe passage for her allies travelling to assist Cedoria in her righteous campaign. The PAFC was particularly praised by the Chairman for it's daring surgical strike on Gilnean military airbases, and now is running regular fighter patrols over Cedorian airspace in case of a retaliatory strike. Cedoria is powerful, and she is prepared, the glory of the revolution will continue to shine through the darkness.

After rising tensions between Gilneas and Cedoria, Premier Lyra Belacqua and the government’s emergency council, Viper, have met to discuss the position of Elepis. The Premier stood up and looked over the table "Comrades, our close ally Cedoria has declared that if the king of Gilneas does not resign and declare Gileas a republic, they will invade. Now comrades, this is the question is do we support our ally in the face of tyrants or do we simply sit by?” Colonel Paolo, commander of the elite Lightning Units (who became commander during the final battle of the Larosian wars when the former leader was shot) rose to speak “We MUST help Cedoria in this. Gilneas has a long history of terrible human rights abuses, if we are the liberators of the workers we say we are, then we must stand with Cedoria. Surely our mission as Marxists is to spread the revolution wherever and whenever we can. Today I call for the spread of the revolution to Gilneas and the end to the rule of TYRANTS! What is more, we have a long standing alliance with Cedoria in which we promised to help them whenever possible. For these two reasons we MUST help Cedoria save the people of Gilneas!" Normally there would have been a long discussion about aaction but today the council seemed in one mind, after a vote passed with a 100% majority, Premier Lyra announced the declaration of support to the National Assembly.

Immediately after the Assembly approved for action messages where sent to military bases around the country to prepare to strike at Gilneas. Strike aircraft and cruises missiles are ready at moment’s notices to hit pre-planned targets and the powerful People’s Navy is making preparation to sail, with 600,000 men of the People’s Army, for Gilneas.

When the border area is firmly under Serrian control, Durandal artilleries are stationed in towns and on hilltops and begin bombarding a nearby Gilnean metropolis mercilessly.

In the sky, Mantis stealth bombers are joining the fray and firebombing military installations deeper into Gilneas to soften them up for future ground attacks.

Anti-Ballistic Missile defences are being prepared across Cedoria's major population centres and military targets, given the Gilnean's previous useage of such weapons, this is a sensible precaution. They will not be able to use them this time. Today, after intensive discussion and debate, the Communist Party of Cedoria has issued a formal statement, officially announcing their decision with regards to the Grand Kingdom of Gilneas. This decision has not been unexpected, as relations between Cedoria and Gilneas have been strained in recent years. The Communist Party has not forgotten the manipulative efforts of the Gilnean Government to spark a war between Cedoria and the then-Kingdom of Lithuania-Latvia. In addition, the Cedorian people were horrified about the atrocities committed by the Gilnean regime in recent conflicts, mass executions, rape, murder, forced starvation and execution of non-combatants, particularly in their conflicts with Lithuania-Latvia. Now the time has come to remedy this, the Communist Party of Cedoria has issued a formal statement declaring the following.



Citizens and Nations of the world
Due to the many vile atrocities committed by the Kingdom of Gilneas, and the foul treatment of it's own citizens, the People's Republic of Cedoria has decided that it is time that Gilneas reign of terror was brought to an end. The Gilnean King must be sent a message, he will be given 12 hours to leave the borders of Gilneas, renouncing his throne for himself and his descendants, and going into voluntary exile. The Gilnean people will then be given the right to participate in free democratic elections. His refusal or failure to leave will result in military action, commenced at a time of our choosing. Our military forces have been on readiness for some time, and our forces are strong. The atrocities and tyrannical actions of the King of Gilneas and his government must not go unpunished, the murder of millions of innocents is a crime against humanity, which cannot be forgiven, even in wartime.
