DEN puts his stuff on the appropriate Mil-Realism forum. If they say it's fine, then it's fine. But with Gallia and SoH, I severely doubt it.

Mutually Assured Destruction. The Chinese will retaliate pretty damn hard if America launches, and in this althistory China their arsenal is somewhat larger than modern China's (1,500 warheads or so, with a smattering MIRV-equipped ICBMs and hypersonic glide vehicles).

Plus, even if China eats Southeast Asia and Siberia, I doubt the US would risk national death just to stop them from taking over people. Conventional war? Sure.
But the US wouldn't start a nuclear war over that, especially if the Chinese didn't show any interest in attacking US territories.
