This is my second week of classes, I imagine my posting will go down as the semester drags on.

So far I've been reading ~100pgs of cases per night :/

I would end with him arriving, but I have no idea what your capital looks like, or what the beginning of the meeting will be like. So I just ask that when you pick up from there, if you wouold include the president's arrival and start the meeting. Thanks.

Now, don't quote me on this, because I'm not the OP, but I believe that, as long as they aren't WMDs, and it's realistic for the time period, 2025, then I would guess it's probably fine. I know for sure that for use of WMDs you have to contact Padnak or Vancon.

Orbital bombardment needs to be elaborated on. Rods of God are a bit much, same with muh lazorz. Spy satellites are okay, but expect things like that to be shot down.

Well now comes the question I inevitably ask on all OOC threads ever: "Is Hailstorm allowed?"

I'm not sure if I talked with Vancon and Padnak about Hailstorm before. If I did, then you can tell me something like "Yes its fine." or "No it's not allowed." or "Ask permission before deploying it." If I didn't, then let me know and I'll elaborate more on what it is.

Guys if you intent to use any kind of orbital bombardments I am going to reciprocate with a full blown delivery system called Atlas. Tactical delivery system that is as deadly as MLRS.

With school starting for me tomorrow, don't expect regular IC posting from me

Ok I know that you guys have already said your opinion railguns, but I've been doing some research on them. Apparently, the US Navy plans to have the Blizer railgun system implemented into it's Zumwalt-class destroyers by 2016. Considering that this war takes place in 2025, I would expect some advances in railgun technology. General Atomics has even unveiled a version of the Blitzer that is landbased. Now, I know there are significant restrictions on their use IRL, like the fact that they usually need nearly 25 megawatts to be used optimally, which is why the only warships with enough power to use them are the Zumwalt-class. So, while they obviously won't be practical enough to use as a primary weapon, would it be reasonable to have a significant portion of my navy be dedicated "railgun ships"? Also, maybe a few experimental land-based versions. Although they would be far less practical, as they have to be propelled by two big trucks in this cumbersome carriage thing: http://i.imgur.com/700rHVL.jpg

If your navy is focused on shore bombardment then go for it, but otherwise you are better served with air and shipborne AShM's.

I'll elaborate later, but ya. It's okay for you to use railguns. Wait until I update my stance on these before writing anything to do with them.

Ok. I won't be needing to use my military for a little while anyways. And I do think a large part of my navy's purpose would be surface bombardment, with enemy naval forces being countered with "other means".
