Overview of the conflict:

In the dawn of the aftermath of the mildly violent unification of the present 'Allied States [of Irate]', new issues arise within the nation's southern lands. Insurgents who disagree with the unification and the new government have taken up arms, demanding separation of their territory from the Allied States. Their territory comprises of one of the largest forests in the nation, as well as the largest lake (the 'Cold Lake') in the nation, both being popular tourist spots in the past.

They [the insurgents] have resorted to kidnapping government officials who do not associate themselves with the insurgents and/or their ideals, as well as the torture of these kidnapped individuals. They have also begun censoring and, on some occasions, criminalizing opposing points of view within the media. Iratian national websites have also been blocked by the insurgent government. Massive military operations within the insurgent state are taking place, and the torture, genocide, and other forms of persecution are predicted to be carried out by the insurgent government in some time.

The response to these actions, taken out by the Iratian national government, as well as by state governments located near the insurgent state, have not been friendly towards the insurgents. Drone strikes, parachute operations, and even chemical weaponry are on the table of militaries and governments within the ASI [Allied States of Irate]. The [national] Iratian Naval Forces have mobilized their largest fleets, and speedy destroyers are currently en-route to the insurgent state's coast, for either recon and/or possible [minor] attacks from the ship[s].

As Irate has helped Xyrx in fighting our terrorists, we will help them in fighting theirs. 5,000 troops will be mobilized to help Irate in fighting these horrible insurgents. Xyrx will also send 100,000 Xyrx Cres to aid in the ASI's Defense fund. We will also request to ally with the ASI.

President Kardot was eager to hold a public press conference today after hearing of Xyrx's plans to assist his nation in the war against terrorism.

He strode onto the podium in a small room, closing the door behind him. Around twenty people, reporters, that is, for major media-outlets, were sitting in chairs surrounding the podium. He pulled some notes out of his back pocket that had been hasily scribbled on about ten minutes before the meeting.

"Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. I'm glad to see you all here. Let's cut to the chase, yes?"

A loud and broad "YES" was heard from the audience, as the reporters were impatient to get their questions answered.

"Oh, ok... then...? I'll begin by simply taking questions from you people." Mr. Kardot said, as he straightened his tie.

"Mr. President! I have a question!" yelled a young lady, probably an intern in her mid-twenties.

"Go ahead..." the President replied.

"Ok, uhm... oh, right. What aid did this nation, "Xyrx"? Yeah, Xyrx. What aid, how much of it, etc. did they promise to help defeat the insurgents?" she sits back down.

"Ah, yes, an excellent question. They... I believe..." he looks at his cards, "oh yes, around 5,000 soldiers are mobilizing and 100,000 Cres (their currency) are on the way."

Mr. Kardot pauses.

"Next question...?" he inquires.

"Here, sir." says a man, probably around thirty years old.

"Continue."

"Right. My question is... how is Irate planning to take military action against the insurgents? Are we using more unmanned strategies like drone strikes..? Or a possible head-on invasion of the insurgent state?"

"Well. We are certainly, most definitely, trying to use as little soldiers as possible to lose as little lives as possible, so we're using drone strikes first. If it comes to a point in which humans are needed, we will defend our country at all costs."

"Thank you." the man sits back down.

"Well, folks, I think we're finished here." says Mr. Kardot, as he tries to rush off the podium and out of the room.

Reporters run as fast as they can towards the President, cameras flashing, people yelling. Fortunately, he got out of their before he got piled by reporters.

"I want a strike force of 100,000 Iratian soldiers on the insurgent state's border by tomorrow." said Mr. Kardot, handling a folder containing classified military information. "Tell the Xyres that I want their troops to meet ours at the river that goes into the Insurgent State. Right on the border, though."

"Understood." replied the General, gazing out the window into the surburbs of Irate City. "I'll inform the Xyres and our commanders. Shall we bring the big guns, too? Tanks... or, hey, even those guntrucks that Xyrx gave us a while back!"

"Sure, whatever you need..." said the President, lifting an eye, "I want those soldiers, Xyres and Iratians combined, ready to invade the Insurgent State by Wednesday."

"I will have them ready." the General took the folder and left the room.

"Apparently... this report came in today. They want to parachute 200 soldiers into the I.S." responded the General.

"Tell the Xyres to not do that and rendezvous with our forces at the river. They'll spill the beans of invasion to the I.S. if they fly one single goddamn plane over their territory." said the President, putting his hands in his face and shaking his head.

"On it, sir. Oh, by the way, the soldiers have departed the city in hundreds of trucks. They're on their way to the river as we speak."

"Good... good. Hopefully the Xyres will comply. I mean no harm to them, of course... I just want this invasion to work perfectly, with minimum casualties."

OOC: May I add that the RIFLE has thousands upon thousands of people who are willing to suicide for their state. Getting them to surrender will not work with simply a few parachute ops. We need a head-on invasion.

*Ossileth's intelligence agency, The "Office", had been monitoring the situation in the Allied States for some time. RIFLE had been campaigning for secession for months, and had been acquiring illegal arms from rouge states for some time, but senior members of the Office never expected RIFLE to mobilize the resources it did, as quickly as it did. Agents within Vilay reported an increased separatist viciousness toward ASI officials and their families, as well as ethnic northerners. Xenophobia spread quickly, and Office agents barely escaped suspicion long enough to flee across the border into mainland Irate, and out of the country. Realizing a successful separatist movement in the Allied States could mean an intolerable increase in secessionist sentiment inside Ossilethan borders, Ossilethan High Command decided to aid the ASI in their struggle to retain their Southern province.

Emperor Thrassis III formally requests to ally with The Allied States in it's struggle against the terrorist threat, and asks for acess to Iratian waters, the permission of the Allied States to conduct targeted strikes on enemy positions, by air, and by sea, and the allowance of O.S.F strike teams to conduct operations to support Xyrxian and native troops with training, artillery strikes, location of enemy positions, and the capture or elimination of H.V.T's (high value targets).

Fleet 15 was mobilized after the troops were. Fleet 15 has now arrived in Irate and will wait until the invasion to strike.

[Irate]

"The Ossilethans recognize the crisis," said President Kardot, as he read a message from Emperor Thrassis III. "And... they wish to ally with us and help eliminate the insurgents."

"Well, that's good." replied the Prime Minister, Mrs. Aroua. The General was out on the field, on his way via truck to the river on the border. "I'm going to guess that you're going to accept their offer?"

"Of course!" replied the President, smiling, "We need all the help we can get. Those damn insurgents are about to feel the force of the militaries of three nations."

"Well, then. I shall message the Ossilethan government. Good day to you, sir." she replied, striding out of the room.

The ships on the eastern side fire their guns and land solders on the coast via landing boats deployed from the ships."

A classified document is handed to President James Wesley. Silently, he gives his approval and signature.
"This is the best course of action?" Asks Wesley's Administrator of Defense, Dick Harley.

A silent nod was all Wesley needed to get his point across.

A blackhawk helicopter with two fighter jet escorts is sent to Vilay holding four undercover operatives carrying the white flag. Their intentions are as of yet unknown to the outside world, and they are doing their best to stay hidden as long as possible.

"Sir! Sir!" yelled one of the President's advisors as she bolted through the large oak doors straight into the Presidential Office, where James Kardot was sipping a Coca-Cola.

"What the hell is it now?" he put down his Coke on the desk as hard as he could without breaking the glass.

"New satellite imagery came in just an hour ago." she rested an image on the desk.

Kardot picked it up and looked at it carefully. A small white blob with a helicopter-shape was evidently flying over the ocean, making a beeline directly for...

"Oh shit. That chopper is going straight for Vilay."

"Hello, Admiral. It's President Kardot.

He folded his hands "Have Alpha notified, while we wait for the ASI go ahead, I want the secessionist command structure crippled for the invasion, have them cease recon. It's time to go hot".

*The crewmember saluted and bowed, racing down to the C.I.C. Alpha received it's orders post haste, and set out for an airstrip just outside Cold Lake, a separatist communications hub. There they hoped to find intel on other hubs in the area, destroy the com equipment, and spill some seperatist blood*
