The fighting erupts!

Newscast:"Fredrich Steiner has approved a war with the vanguard of the communist revolution. Stay with us, we have reporters on the scene."

War!

Soldiers from the reserves marched and quietly snuck in. Aiming with sniper rifles soldiers in Ghillie suits fired at military sites and aircraft hangers. "Major Strauss!" "Ja?" "We have charges that are ready to be placed on this military command center. Quietly Major Strauss shot guards while two bomb squad experts planted T4 on drone mechanisms and weapons caches. Inside, the soldiers looked and found suitable weaponry. "Hey Johann! Take a look at this firepower!" They took LMG's and retreated. Driving away the men fired their new weaponry for an escpe route. "Yes sir!" "Listen boys! We have to provide support for troops attempting to enter the borders! We have to take out multiple gas lines, and border posts! We need our armor coming through." At the border post Strauss ordered not to kill the hostiles but to take them alive. They held multiple men to be be held in Statsa for the remainder of the war. They blew up oil pipe lines and destroyed mines. The tanks then moved up and began to fire upon large areas of the cities. As Steiner read the paper he chuckled. "This is just the beginning."

"UUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" The soldiers cheered on the parade. Soon another blow to the communist revolution. The hypocritical, oppressive belief would be crushed. "SSSSSSSSLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAVVVVVVVVVVAAAAAAAAAAAAA GGGGGAAAAARRRRREEEEENNNGGGGGAAAAADDDDDD!" They cheered. Already 20,000 troops were mobilized and being prepared for deployment. The Czar waved from the balcony and the citizens and soldiers cheered "URA!"

The New Roma Republic sends the 5th Land Legion to help Statsa fight the Communists.

*NOTE: Vanguard of the Communist Revolution is a small island nation, as far as I envisioned it. You may want to bring your navies and air forces.*

Kayla Hanover, elected president of Vanguard of the Communist Revolution, gave an impromptu speech:

"The workers' revolution has frightened the bourgeois reactionaries, causing them to drop their facade of "protecting human rights" and revealing their true character. As Lenin astute observations about the causes of the First World War indicated, imperialism is the highest form of capitalism. All wars are a "poor man's fight", as fellow travelers in America say. We must remember the proletariat who have been pressed into service of the bourgeoisie, who are not content with merely oppressing them at home. All working class prisoners will therefore be re-educated to remove their false consciousness so that they too can learn the joy of socialism. To the rich, we will show no mercy. Ready the guillotines, comrades! As surely as the bourgeoisie cut off the head of the feudal order, so too will we decapitate capitalism and imperialism forever! We welcome all true communists to come to our aid in this glorious struggle."

After the speech, the parliament argued over who thought it was a good idea to cut the space marine and orbital weapons programs. They agreed to ready the People's Navy aircraft carriers PN Marx, PN Lenin, PN Trotsky, and PN Engels. All available cruisers and submarines were readied to guard the shores of the islands of Vanguard of the Communist Revolution.

The People's Army was less-well equipped. The forces were mostly infantry armed with AK-47s. Tanks were very rare thanks to Vanguard of the Communist Revolution never having to bother fighting more than a few weak rival island nations and occasionally sending a few token troops to communist revolts elsewhere.

Statsan troops triumphed over enemy infantry. The navy ha deployed it's cargo. The blockade was uselful in making a beachhead. So far, little to no resistance has been met.

[Vanguard of the Communist Revolution]

General Ernesto Guevara Hernández shouted "The rapacious imperialists have fallen for our trap! Did they really think they could storm up our beaches while we were distracted like the fascists were? We learned a thing or two from Vietnam, comrades! Fire!" Some of Statsa's infantry found themselves falling into hastily-dug pits and being wounded by punji spikes. Vanguard of the Communist Revolution's infantry fired their AK-47s at the Statsan soldiers struggling through the lush jungle. Unfortunately, the Statsan troops in this battle had better training than Vanguard's recruits due to the military budget cuts before Statsa's surprise attack. Vanguard's troops were being cut down quickly in spite of their home field advantage and patriotic zeal, but Statsa was taking heavy losses too.

The People's Navy fared better. A few filibusters in submarines evaded the blockade and torpedoed Statsan supply ships to the battlefield, though they were not able to capture many of the supplies for themselves thanks to the ships sinking rather than being crippled. They mostly stayed out of the conflict proper and harassed Statsan commerce from then on. Statsa would surely have depth charges waiting for these pirates should they dare to return to Vanguard of the Communist Revolution.


Meanwhile, Vanguard's forces were dreading the arrival of Garengad's fanatical Czarist troops, Rheinsche's Panzers, and New Roma Republic's Land Legion. . .

The enormous Statsan army was no longer suprised by the makeshift traps. Snipers took down large amounts of enemy infantry while Heavily armored vehicles towered over fleeing communist soldiers. Statsan's had no trouble fighting the enemy infantry. Since the enemy was only armed with small arms, they were crushed. As troops advanced to the last line of defense before the capital, they encountered soldiers with Better weaponry. The fleeing troops quickly were killed or surrendered to the mass of soldiers. The Statsan army has a deal. If you give all of the land to Garengad and Statsa, your people will be spared. Otherwise, they will suffer the consoquences!

[New Roma Republic]

The 5th Land Legion lands 2 miles south of Statsa's forces. A beachhead is quickly formed, but the Legion meets moderate resistance.

"Climb up to the bunker and throw this in there!" He handed him a frag grenade. Slowly crawling by dead bodies he leaned up to the bunker and threw it inside. "UURAAAAAAAAAA!" The troops began their slow and tough march forward.

The Garengadan Armada was weak. But it was sufficient for this battle. Two cruiser's the HIMS Peter I and HIMS Nicholas V pounded the coast continually with shells. Coastal turrets heavily damaged the HIMS Peter I and brought it out of the action before it could do any damage. But the HIMS Nicholas V did well and lived to fight another day.

The 5th Land Legion begins to move in land, but progress is still slow. Reinforcements are making the Legion's movement difficult. Help is requested.

SHIELD Loyal is mobilizing the Helicarrier Fury. It will be ready to leave in 9 hours. It will arrive there 25 hours after that.

The Republic of Chilokver does not understand why such unnecessary bloodshed and war was declared on the Vanguard of the Communist Revolution. We in no way support communism, however in this situation Statsa is clearly the wrong party. They have not even supplied a cassus belli! The 1st Battlefleet will be diverted to aid the Vanguard of the Communist Revolution immediately.

Sorry, my Internet was having problems last night. The post I'm quoting is MUCH better, and a lot more entertaining. Heco's post was pretty funny. What kind of king would support a communist nation anyway?

IC: Vanguard of the Communist Revolution's army had been well entrenched, but Statsa's troops were slowly but surely gaining ground thanks to the enemy's advantage in numbers and daring tactics. The New Roma Republic's Land Legion in particular was successful. Their generals had used the training techniques mentioned by Vegetius while preparing for war. New Roma Republic soldiers had practiced by carrying around fake weapons heavier than the real ones to keep up their physical strength and marching in formation. Of course, the New Roma Republic had modernized their tactics. The old testudo wouldn't stand up to modern artillery fire after all. Their well-supplied APCs could move for miles up the coast with little resistance, as Vanguard of the Communist Revolution could not mine the beach in time.

Vanguard was also struggling in the naval war with Garengad, even with the HIMS Peter I out of action. However, the weakness of New Roma Republic and Stasa was the fact that they had to travel far to supply and send new troops to the front lines. If the 1st Battlefleet of Chilokver came in time to assist Vanguard. . .

SHIELD Loyal spy satellites spot the incoming Chilokver fleet. The Helicarrier Fury is notified, and its course is diverted to intercept. The jets are prepared for full take off, 100 in all. ETA to intercept, 1 hour.

The Battlecarriers Retribution and Judgement counter by launching 46 RF-1 multirole-stealth fighters to intercept the jets and Helicarrier Fury while 28 RF-2 tactical stealth fighters to drive back the Statesman and New Roman forces. All ships are at red alert and ready for battle with Garengad.

Outside VCR
The HIMS Nicholas V came within shelling range of the Retribution and Judgement. In a few seconds the guns were ablaze. "BOOM! BOOM!" Orange lines shot from the ships like fireflies. They slammed into the Chilokver ships damage made. The enemy ships responded with shells making moderate damage but soon the Imperial ship was away to new Roman held lands for repairs. When it got there, repairs were being made.

Due to severe damage, the battlecarriers' speed were slowed considerably. In order to aid the Vanguard in time, the flagship RCN Principality proceeds ahead with 1 cruiser and 2 destroyers. The RF-2s begin strafing the New Romans and Statsans who are taken by surprise. Despite taking considerable losses, they quickly react and even manage to shoot one down.

"SLAVA GARENGAD!" Yelled troops as they came out of the troop carriers into Statsan held VCR. They quickly made it to the front setting up heavy defenses and pillboxes. These were 15,000 troops in VCR ready to fight. AA and Scud Missiles were on constant ready and troops were as well. From air bases in Statsan held VCR. Statsan bombers piloted by Garengadans take to the skies. Going over the RCN Principlaity they drop many high-explosive bombs. But do to the heavy armament of the ship many bombers are shot down. But the ship and it's escort is damaged.

I have just come out of a meeting with my international advisor and when he said about the war declared upon your great communist nation, I had to end the meeting and quickly send you a note. Timsvill is sending 1,000 land troops , 20 battle ships, and 500 fighter jets to your aid. This means timsvill is now in the war, on your side. Timsvill will always help a fellow communist nation in need.
