While it's by no means a bad idea, an enforceable opt-out is, in my mind, the best solution.

Agreed. The trick is how would such an opt-out work? I can't think of a way you could get the website to automatically detect a 'raid' and halt it on certain regions. It'd have to be done manually and as far as I'm aware the Mods, mentors and the like don't get paid enough for that

Put a tag on your region saying no R/D game. If R/D occurs, report it to the mods like any other offense. Parties responsible for disregarding opt-out are subject to banhammer. Natives are restored, and everything goes back to normal. Hopefully being a punishable offense makes it enough of a deterrent to stop it from even happening in the first place.

It's irrelevant unless you're playing the R/D game, thus it's a part of the R/D game.

As far as WA, endorsements don't effect voting power, only who gets to be delegate, iirc. If a region has only one endorsement on the delegate, clearly they have no interest in either the WA game or the R/D game, and should not be forced into either, or blamed when said lack of interest results in their being griefed.

So far, the only explanation offered is that "flags are held to a higher standard than sigs", which is a non-answer, and also nonsense.

I realise Nirvash has now been resurrected by the Powers that Be, I just am at some loss as to how it was only he who faced the wrath of Mod.

Well, some people just want to not play R/D while at the same time they don't necessarily RP in the forums. I don't see why they should not have the rights to opt-out.

I said many times my concern at the R/D game being really badly moderated around, it's in a state of pure anarchy and a mess when if just worked better into NS it could actually become something different than an INCREDIBLY ANNOYING EVENT for the natives.

But this, this is plain and simple online bullying. Yeah, I'm calling an actual Real Life crime here: If Haven doesn't want to play the stupid R/D game, they will not play the stupid R/D game.

I do not read ANYWHERE in the rules of the game I'm forced to play it. Invaders are becoming from funny events to pests in this game, and now they have just crossed the line. If this pass and Haven gets invaded, I don't see why the owners of the Haven nations should not file this incident to police and force the practice to stop, it's a valid claim.

The mods started by removing the flags. He changed back to it. First offense DEAT. Restored on the grounds that the flag wasn't originally actionable.

Saying this not as an RP-er (I'm not very active), but rather as a close-shave victim of raiders, I wish to sign the petition. I have had much trouble with raiders; in fact, they're the main reason why my old region was a failure. This is just crossing the line for me.

I brought up tags as a solution in the Mentors' forum, to bring in a boundary between R/D and RP. The problem is that it'd be easy to abuse the tags, then, and people'd go raid somewhere and hop back into their safe zone afterwards.

Nice non sequitur. However you failed to reply to the argument. The argument is--of course--that just because someone is a 'prime target' for something doesn't mean that it's ok to strike that target. ESPESCIALLY if the target is unwilling.
